A fashion show is in town. And Rarity is escorting Chrysalis to attend the event.

An Event full of Generosity

Chrysalis is trying her best to make up for her misdeeds in Equestria. So far, she learned about honesty, kindness, laughter, and loyalty. As she was reading a newspaper Celestia gave her, she read about a great event in town.

"Hmmm. The Canterlot Carousel is celebrating an anniversary today." Chrysalis read. "A fashion show is being presented there."

This gave Chrysalis some ideas. "If this world's Rarity is like her pony counterpart, she probably likes to design clothing as well. I'll wager she'll be there for the show."

Dressing up in a teal jacket over a white shirt, green skirt, and sea foam green shoes, Chrysalis makes her way to the Canterlot Carousel. "Let's see if Rarity has the gift of Generosity,"

As Chrysalis walks down the street to the store, an elegant voice calls to her. "Hello, darling!"

The visitor looks around, and sees Rarity herself waving to her. Being cautious, Chrysalis walks over to her.

"Were you calling me?" Chrysalis asked.

"I certainly was, Chrysalis." Rarity answered. "I was informed of your arrival."

Not wanting to be rude, Chrysalis decided to spend time with the young fashionista.

"Are you enjoying your experience here, my dear?" Rarity asked.

"I guess so." Chrysalis replied. "I was a little nervous when I showed up five days ago."

"So I've heard. You're beginning to learn about what my friends are all about."

"Indeed. Applejack is a hard worker, Fluttershy enjoys nature so much, Pinkie Pie is full of energy when planning parties, and Rainbow Dash is devoted to her friends and her team."

"That's one way to look at it."

This gives Chrysalis a thought. "Are you attending the event at Canterlot Carousel?"

"I certainly am." Rarity said. "If fact, I'm preparing an outfit to wear to that event." She then looks at the visitor. "I'll design something for you since you're here."

"You would do that for me?!"

"Of course, Chrysalis. Your current look is representable. But, I think I can whip up something more glamorous."

Soon, Rarity started measuring Chrysalis for a new outfit.

"I'm guessing this is why you had me change into this light teal leotard." Chrysalis said. "This way, your measurements will turn out okay."

"That's correct, darling." Rarity answered as she writes in her notebook. "This shouldn't take long."

As Rarity goes into her work station, Chrysalis looks out a window and sees a backyard. "While Rarity is busy with with her sewing tools, I think I'll go outside and limber up."

Chrysalis goes outside to enjoy the outdoors. She sees the spacious backyard, and is amazed.

"I'll bet Rarity hosts her own grand parties out here." Chrysalis said. "Time for me to get in shape."

Meanwhile, Rarity was working her sewing machine to put together an outfit. She is impressed. "Oh my. This will look amazing."

At that moment, her young sister, Sweetie Belle, comes in looking concerned.

"Pardon me, sis." Sweetie said. "There's an unusual looking girl in our backyard doing some gymnastics moves."

Rarity soon had a thought. "Does this person have black skin and bluish green hair?"

"Yes!"

"Then, I think I know who you're talking about."

Outside, Chrysalis was moving about as if she's on a dance floor. She soon did a triple flip in the air and landed on the ground. She soon rose up as she heard someone clapping. It turned out to be Rarity and Sweetie Belle applauding her movements.

"You two were watching me?" Chrysalis gasped.

"We were." Rarity replied. "Those moves were unexpected."

"I did learn something from watching the Wonderbolts practicing."

"Anyway, the outfit I made for you is made, ready for you to try on."

Sweetie Belle saw Chrysalis sweating a little from her workout. "First, I think you need a shower."

"Good call." Chrysalis chuckled.

After cleaning up, Chrysalis looked at herself in the outfit Rarity made. She has on a lime green top and dark green skirt below the knees. A pair of dark green shoes completes the look.

"WOW!" Chrysalis cheered. "This looks beautiful. Rarity knows her stuff when it comes to clothing."

After Chrysalis walks out of the bathroom, Rarity sees her outfit, and is amazed. "My goodness. Sometimes, I even shock myself."

"Why not?" Chrysalis replied. "This outfit is beautiful!"

"Thank you, my dear. Principal Celestia showed me drawings of Equestria's well known villains. That's what lead me to this gorgeous ensemble."

"I guess inspiration can come from anywhere."

Later that night, Rarity and Chrysalis arrived at the Canterlot Carousel for the big event. When they arrived, they were greeted by socialite Hoity Toity.

"Rarity, my dear." Hoity greeted. "I'm glad you made it."

"Hoity Toity, my friend." Rarity replied. "I wouldn't miss an event like this."

Meanwhile, Chrysalis was approached by avil photographer, Photo Finish.

"Good evening, madame." Photo Finish said. "Are you here for the celebration?"

"That I am." Chrysalis answered. "I hear that the creme de la creme of society are attending this event."

"You heard right. How about I take a picture of you and your gorgeous outfit?"

"Well, sure."

Chrysalis walks to an area under a stage, and Photo took her picture. "Thank you. I'll make a copy and have it sent to you."

The former changeling bowed to the photographer as Rarity catches up to her.

"Come along, darling." Rarity said. "The fashion show will be starting soon."

"Very well, Rarity." Chrysalis replied. "Lead the way."

The two ladies went to their seats as store owner Sassy Saddles steps up on the stage.

"Good evening, everybody." Sassy said. "Welcome to the anniversary of the Canterlot Carousel. I came to Canterlot with a dream to present great fashions for all. From the rich and famous to ordinary folks."

Everybody listened to Sassy's words with interest.

"I had many people here inspiring me to achieve my goals." Sassy continued. "Including my dear friend: Rarity."

Everybody cheered for Rarity was in the spotlight. The young fashionista blushed.

"Don't knock it." Chrysalis said. "A little recognition is a good thing."

When the celebration died down, everybody went their separate ways to head for their homes. Rarity and Chrysalis hugged each other before departing. As Chrysalis headed for her house, she thought about her overall mission. So far, so good.
