Chrysalis is ready to learn how science and magic can mix.

A Laboratory Full of Magic

Chrysalis has been learning a lot in the past five days. She was given the dress Rarity made for her last night. The guests of the Canterlot Carousel say that she's a very elegant guest. As Chrysalis enjoys a bagel and a cup of coffee, she thought about who she'll visit next.

"Back in Equestria, Twilight Sparkle lead her friends on many missions to preserve friendship." Twilight figured. "This world's Twilight is like a scientific girl who's still understanding magic. I wonder what she'll teach me."

Chrysalis took a walk around the neighborhood to think about how to approach Twilight. She soon found her way to the library. The former Changeling Queen is amazed at this place.

"Look at this place." Chrysalis said as she looks around. "Reminds me of the Golden Oaks Library back home."

"Does this home happen to be Equestria?" A teenage girl asked.

Chrysalis looked behind her and saw the intellect, Twilight Sparkle, greeting her.

"Twilight Sparkle!" Chrysalis gasped. "I was just thinking about you."

"I'm pretty sure you were." Twilight replied. "Let's head over to my home. We can talk there."

Twilight escorted Chrysalis over to her place. In one of the rooms was a makeshift laboratory. Chrysalis was amazed.

"Wow!" Chrysalis said with amazement. "This place is fascinating. Very proper for a girl of science."

"I'm glad you appreciate it." Twilight responded. "Impressive for the former leader of the Changelings."

This made Chrysalis get shocked. "How did you know who I am?"

"My princess counterpart told me about you and other creepy villains from Equestria."

This got Chrysalis very intrigued. She then was shown a necklace around Twilight's neck.

"Cute looking necklace." Chrysalis said.

"Thanks." Twilight replied. "This contains a geode that contains my own bit of magic. Check this out."

Twilight uses her geode to levitate a piece of sheet metal, then lower it back down.

"Wow!" Chrysalis shouted. "That's unbelievable!"

"Don't I know it." Twilight replied. "My friends have geodes of their own."

"Is that a fact? What can their geodes do?"

"Glad you asked. Rainbow gets super speed, Pinkie Pie can make any object explode, Rarity projects diamond projectiles, Applejack gains super strength, Fluttershy communicates with animals, and Sunset Shimmer can read minds."

Twilight soon got sad. "If only magic didn't give me trouble at first."

"What makes you say that?" Chrysalis wondered.

"During the Friendship Games, a yearly event between Canterlot High School and my former school: Crystal Prep, my former principal, Abacus Cinch, keeps forcing me to use magic for her evil purposes. But then, this dark object infected me and changed me into a monster named Midnight Sparkle."

"Midnight Sparkle? That's awful. This Cinch woman went out of control."

"I'll say. But, thanks to Sunset, who used the device to energize herself, I was brought out of my delusional state, and became my normal self once again. Probably why Principal Celestia had me transfered to CHS. This way, Cinch can't influence me again."

Chrysalis soon saw Twilight shake a bit. Seeing some rope near by, she wrapped Twilight a bit to hold her still.

"I guess thinking of that dark moment got me nervous, huh?" Twilight said.

"I guess so." Chrysalis replied. "Sorry, about this."

"Don't be. Any of my friends would do the same thing if they see me get critically nervous."

Later, after Twilight Sparkle calmed down, she showed Chrysalis her bookcase.

"Impressive book collection." Chrysalis said happily. "You must like to read."

"I do indeed." Twilight replied. "Sometimes, my friends like to call me a bookworm or an egghead."

"Egghead? Is that because of your scientific mind."

"That's right. My princess counterpart didn't nickname me 'Sci Twi' for nothing."

Chrysalis chuckled from hearing that nickname. Later, the girls take a walk into Canterlot State Park for some peace and quiet.

"Nothing like a natural park setting to rest up after a day of experiments." Twilight said with relief.

"I agree." Chrysalis said. "Remonds me of when Fluttershy invited me to take a walk in a forest with her."

"I remember when she had me join her in a forest. I was helping out with a play at school. But, I was so stressed out, I'm starting to lose it. But, thanks to Fluttershy and her animal friends, I felt much better."

"Didn't I hear that you helped your friends when your magic went crazy?"

"Yup. Seems Rainbow Dash used her super speed all day. This triggered everybody's magic big time. I figured that if everyone used their magic in moderation, it won't go out of control."

"That's a good lesson to learn."

As the girls enjoyed some lunch they brought over, Chrysalis feels a sense of warmth from just being with Twilight.

"You girls of the Humane Seven really help each other." Chrysalis said. "Don't you?"

"We sure do." Twilight said happily. "I guess we all know about the magic of friendship. That's how we faced many magic obstacles."

Little do the girls know is that Twilight's former principal, Abacus Cinch, was watching the conversation.

"Hmm. I heard many stories of the villains from Equestria." Abacus said. "I never thought that one of them would be here."

Getting a little nervous, Abacus Cinch decides to leave.

"That woman, Chrysalis, scares even me." Abacus thought. "Imagine meeting her in her true form from Equestria. I better head for home before she sees me."

Later, Chrysalis was back in her house. She was talking to Celestia about her day.

"I guess Twilight had a lot to tell you about her experiences." Celestia said.

"She sure did." Chrysalis replied. "I understood why you had her transfered to your school."

"I saw promise in Twilight if Abacus Cinch didn't. She's been doing well ever since."

Kind of like Princess Celestia seeing promise in Twilight back home. .. Chrysalis thought.

Celestia is ready to leave. "Well, good night, Chrysalis."

"Nighty night, Celestia." Chrysalis said warmly. "Sleep well."

After Celestia left, Chrysalis microwaved a hamburger, and enjoyed it. Soon, she thought about the information about the Humane Seven. And, knows there only one more girl to talk to. "Sunset Shimmer, you're next."
