Author's Note

The group of heroes is now up to five as the search for the stars continues.

8. The Star and the Sea

Morning came, and TwiIight and her comrades prepared themselves to continue their search for the four remaining stars of the Star Road. Just when Twilight, Mallow, Geno, and Chrysalis were ready to head out, Megan caught up with them.

"Megan?!" Twilight gasped. "What are you doing?"

"I'm coming with you." Megan explained. "With four stars still out there, you guys can use all the support you need."

"But, you don't have a weapon." Geno informed.

"Maybe not, Geno. But, I can still help when I can."

Chrysalis gave a warm smile. "She does have a point."

Everybody nodded as Twilight spoke up. "Now, how will we know where those stars went to?"

"Maybe my grandpa at Tadpole Pond might help us." Mallow suggested.

"Good idea, Mallow. It's worth a try. Let's go."

The group went over to Tadpole Pond and talked to the Frog Sage.

"That's the story, Frog Sage." Chrysalis said. "Can you help us find any of the remaining stars?"

"This Star Road you speak of is very important to you." Frog Sage replied. "Perhaps I can help you out."

"Thank you, sir." Megan said politely.

"Try looking at an area called the Starry Hill. It's near the entrance to the area of Cloudsdale."

"Starry Hill." Geno hummed. "A good place to find one of the remaining stars. Let's go."

The group soon find themselves near a mountain leading to Cloudsdale. There, Megan saw a path with stars on the ground. "Hey, guys. This looks like the way to Starry Hill."

"Good spotting, Megan." Twilight praised. "Let's move out."

Suddenly, the Wonderbolts lead by Spitfire came into the area.

"Hold it, you!" Spitfire said with authority. "Where are you and these others going, Princess Twilight?"

"Captain Spitfire," Twilight explained. "we're heading into Starry Hill."

"What's your business there, I ask?"

"We're looking for a star of the Star Road." Geno explained. "We have three so far."

Spitfire soon realized what's going on. "Does this have to do with that Smithy Gang Rainbow Dash told me about?"

"That is does." Twilight answered. "We're on a quest to stop these invaders."

"It must be a big quest if you have Chrysalis by your side. I guess she hates the Smithy Gang too."

"You said it." Chrysalis replied.

"In that case, go right ahead."

The team of heroes went down the path. Starry Hill is twinkling with stars everywhere.

"Wow!" Twilight gasped. "This must be the most beautiful place in Equestria."

"Yeah." Megan added. "I need to tell Princess Luna about this place when this adventure is over."

The group look around, and battled any creatures that cross them. Chrysalis soon saw some sparkly and purple. She then called to one of the group. "Geno! I think I see star number four!"

Geno ran over to see what Chrysalis saw. "It IS a piece of the Star Road. Good spotting, Chrysalis."

Chrysalis blushed, knowing she's being praised for being of help. The group got together to gather the energy. Then, sent the star in the sky. Now, there are four stars shining in the sky.

"Now, we have four stars in the Star Road." Geno announced. "But, we need three more for the Star Road to be complete."

Chrysalis soon felt something happening. All of the holes on her body started to close up. Megan looked at this, and is shocked. "Wow! You're starting to change."

"I guess with each star we find," Chrysalis said, "I'm starting to heal little by little. Now, where to go next?"

"I thought I saw a village near the ocean when we came to the mountain." Twilight said. "Let's see if we can learn something there."

The noble crew make their way to a location called Seaside Town. But, when they arrived, they noticed that it's empty. That's when they noticed that nobody is coming out.

"I wonder why these people don't want to help us." Mallow said.

"From what I've learned," Chrysalis answered, "a vicious pirate started terrorizing these folks."

"A pirate?" Megan gasped. "Sounds like he's as mean as Captain Hook."

"Well, Megan. We're not talking Captain Jack Sparrow, here."

Soon, an old man's voice is heard. "Princess Twilight Sparkle. Over here!"

They soon saw an elderly mushroom waving to them. Twilight and company met the old timer in his house.

"I am the elder if Seaside Town." The man said. "I saw a bright star crash into a pirate, and sunk it. Even so, this pirate continues to torture this town."

Everybody feels bad for these people. Even Chrysalis felt sorrow. "To think, I would love seeing anypony suffer. Now, I don't like this set up."

"We need to find this sunken ship." Geno suggested. "If the elder is right, star number five is down there."

Twilight nods her head. "Let's go."

After leaving the village, the crew finds a cave and goes in. As they explore, they encountered many sea creatures. A jellyfish tries to attack. But, wearing gloves, Megan slapped that beast while Twilight finished it off with a powerful hammer.

"Good touch with those gloves, Megan." Twilight said.

"Thanks." Megan replied. "This will make sure nothing happens to my hands."

The heroes funds a cave under the water. They dive in and slowly make their way to another area of the cave. After coming back to the surface, Twilight and her friends exited a cave. Mallow sees something in the water. "I think I see the Sunken Ship."

Everybody looked down, and saw the wreckage.

"Good eyes, Mallow." Megan said. "There's where we have to go."

The heroic crew went into the water and swam up to a pipe. They went down the pipe, and came out again. They find themselves inside the ship. And, there's no water inside.

"I can't believe that we're in a sunken ship." Mallow said. "And, there are no leaks."

"In the land of Equestria," Chrysalis explained, "anything is possible."

Twilight soon got the team ready. "Let's find that fifth star."

As they began their tour of the sunken ship, they have some thoughts. Will they find the fifth piece of Star Road? And, will they meet the pirate who's causing trouble in Seaside Town?

The answers lie ahead in our next exciting episode.
