The Marine
The sun was setting in the Middle East as squad of marines patrolled in the Afghanistan Mountains. They were tired sweaty and wanted to relax after a boring day of nothing but false alarms. A young marine spoke up whit a New Jerseys accent. “Hey Jonson where’s the check point? I mean come on we've been driving for and for hours.”
“Will get there when we get there.” Said a tanned Caucasian marine in the front seat turning around to face the New Jersey marine. “You sound like a 9 year-old asking his parents ‘are we there yet,’ every five minutes.”
“Well fuck you too, and if I remember correctly I outrank you Sergeant Thomas Hartman.” He waved his hand almost hitting Hartman in the face
“That’s enough White.” Said an older darker skin marine.
“But captain, he’s a fucking brony.” Now he was becoming more violent.
“Do you have a problem with bronies staff sergeant?” said a light skinned Lieutenant putting his hand under his chin revealing a brony wristband.
”Sir... no sir” White said in a spiteful tone.
Hartman turned back around to see a man on his knees pushing dirt around. "Sir, what’s is that guy doing?"
"It looks like that he's burring something... Marines stop him!"
The man saw the marines and pulled out a rifle and shot the gunner. Then 20 Taliban soldiers came over a hill. The marines piled out of the Humvee darting behind a large rock. They all opened fire. They were holding them back. White got cocky and jumped over the rock charging at the remaining enemies. He was hit in the side right under his front plate. “Shit I’m Hit!” Hartman was behind the Humvee but he darted for white. When he got to him a, enemy soldier popped up getting ready to shoot, but one marine shot him just as he was getting ready to pull the trigger.
Hartman pulled White back around the vehicle. White looked at Hartman and asked. “Why? I’ve been nothing but an asshole to you, so why save me?”
Hartman looked down at him, “because you’re a fellow marine. And no one gets left behind. Even if they are a asshole as you said.” Hartman got his vest off and treated his wound. The other marines were behind a rock giving them covering fire. “Can you walk?”
“Yeah, just give me a sec.” White was shot want fatal but it wasn’t fatal but it had to be painful. Hartman helped him to the rock and the fight continued. It lasted an hour when they thought that they were all dead they were wring two of them jumped up and grabbed Hartman who was taking a piss. They knocked him out and put him in the back of a truck and drove off. His unit was in close pursuit.
The marines got close a few times but the Taliban lost the marines, but Hartman was awake. He jumped out of the truck hitting his head. The last thing he remembers was talking into his radio when a warm feeling covered his body and he pasted out.
When he woke up he was in a dark cave the only light was from the full moon outside. His head was throbbing and there was a ringing in his ear. He grabbed his head and looked around to see his rifle and armor leaning on the wall. He got up and limped over to his gear when he heard a familiar voice, but the owner could not be real. “Please lay back down you are hurt.”
Hartman thought ‘She can’t be real. She sounds like Princess Luna but she just a charter in a cartoon’
“I’m fine, who are you and why did you bring me here?” Hartman didn’t yell but he was stern.
“You were hurt so I brought you here... and as for who I am” The female voice paused. “Please do not freak out over my appearance.” A cobalt blue alicorn with a crescent moon on a black splotch on her flank.
Hartman grew wide eye when he saw her. “You can’t real.” Hartman whispered in disbelief, there was a, alicorn from his favorite show. ‘If Princess Luna is real then that means that Twilight, Pinkie, all of them are real.’ He stared at Luna for a while when she finally spoke up.
“Rest Ashore I am Real.” The alicorn paused “My name is Princess Luna. I come from a distant planet called Pony Earth. My country is called Equestria, and I come in peace.” She trots around the cave looking at Hartman and his gear.
Hartman spoke in an all hope is lost tone. “Well that settles it.” He throws his hands in the air. “I’m dead.” He walks over to the Luna and says “Unless you can prove it.” Luna hoofed his stomach. Hartman grabbed his stomach gasping for air. “UUUUUUH. Alright, still alive.”
“Good now, what is your name, rank and branch of your military and what are you doing out here?” Luna asked.
“I’m Sargent Thomas Hartman United States Marine Corps and as for the second question, what?”
“You’re a soldier right so why are you here in this country.” Hartman sighed and expand the history of the war. When he was finished Luna was full on crying of all the people lost on 9/11. “All of those poor souls lost, I’m terribly sorry for your country’s loss... But if this Benn Ladden is dead then why are you still here?” The princess of the night asked wiping the tears from her face. Hartman waited for Luna to stop crying.
“That’s a good question, and I wish I knew the answer.” Hartman respond with sorrow over all the lost soldiers. He punches the ground remembering one person in particular. He sighs. “I need to get back to base.”
“Can I come with you?” there was a long pause when Luna spoke up, “I have a human from and human close.” Luna’s horn glowed cobalt blue and soon her whole body did. Luna’s Pony body shifted into a human body in the glow then it faded to reveal a cobalt blue haired Caucasian woman who looked no older than 24 or 25, she still had her cutie mark on her thighs, and she was naked.
‘Holy shit she’s beautiful... and naked’ Hartman thought. He quickly turns around red as an apple. “Uh Princess Luna... your naked.”
“Huh, oh sorry.” Luna pulls out a bag and puts a short sleeve cobalt blue shirt and a pair of jeans on. “It’s ok I’m decent by Earth standards.” Hartman turns around and is struck by the beautiful of the humanized Luna. Luna and Hartman stands the in silence. They just stand there looking at each other. Luna asked after a good 30 seconds, “Well can I come with you?"
“Yes, you can come with me.” Hartman said after a good minute. Luna gave him a strong hug.
“Thank you very much, now should we get going?” Luna asked. Hartman nodded and thought for a minute. “What's wrong?”
“Well you see it’s just that what I’m I going to tell the other marines about you and how will we get there? And that you probably can’t walk very far. I mean the nearest outpost is 10 clicks away from we’re I was when I was taken prisoner.”
Luna looked confused. “What’s 10 clicks?”
“6.2 miles.”
“I can fly us there.” Luna happily said.
“Yes but how am I going to explain riding a blue alicorn?” Luna’s was smiling but she lost it when Hartman said that. Luna sits on the Ground puts her knees to her face and sulks on the verge of tears again. Hartman sat down next to Luna. “Hey, Hey come here. I’m sorry I just don’t want you to get hurt.” He embraced Luna in a strong hug and Luna gave a strong hug back. They hugged for a long time. Time stood still in their eyes. When they let go of each other they were blushing madly. As he looked into her blue eyes he felt something that he didn’t feel in a long, long time. “Let’s get some sleep and tomorrow night will set out.” He got his bag and made a mic-shift pillow for Luna
“That sounds good.” Luna laid down with Hartman and snuggled up to him.
“Will go into that cave for shelter tonight and set off in the morning.” Hartman shot up at the sound of an Afghanistani voice. “Why did you go and lose our prisoner do you know what that caused us?”
Hartman got to his feet put this plate carrier on and made sure his rifle was loaded. “Luna lesson to me, go to the back of the cave I’ll find you once I’ve taken care of the people outside.”
Luna eyes grew and looked out at the cave entrance “what are you going to do?”
“What I am trained to do. Now get going I’ll be with you soon... I promises.” Hartman gave Luna a smile that said trust me and be safe. Luna nodded, and did as ordered. Hartman went outside of the cave. He yelled. “Hey you Goat Fucking assholes, come over here.” There were three guys with AK-47’s and pistols. But before any of them could open fire Hartman let out three round and there were three dead Taliban soldiers.
Luna could hear the three rounds go off. She covered her ears to drown out the rest of the gunfire, but there was no other rounds fired. A few minutes after the weapon was fired, a man came thru the cave entrance and said in a soft voice. “Luna, Luna It over.” Luna heard the voice and ran to the owner. It was Hartman’s voice. Luna hugged him as tight as she could and started to cry. “Hey I’m ok see... why is the cave spinning?” Hartman fell to the ground. Luna looked at him to see Hartman’s right ear bleeding.
“O’ my Celestica, Your ear!” Luna cried out as she set Hartman down against the cave wall. “What happened?” Luna was in a panic.
Luna began to wipe the blood off of him but Harman grabbed her arm, “I’ve got it.” He pulled a trauma kit out of a pouch on his vest. He managed to clean the wound and dress it. He turned to Luna who was crying her eyes out. “Princess, you need to take me to the base. It should be that way.” He pointed to the north. “Once you get to about a two miles away from the base turn back to human form and help me walk until we find a patrol unit. Say that you have no memory of how you got out in the desert. Tell them you name is Kate and that’s all you can remember.” Luna nodded in confirmation. “Good now turn me around so you can change into your alicorn self.” Hartman was now turned around so Luna could change. Luna changed and put Hartman on her back and was trotting outside.
When she was outside she saw the dead body’s that Hartman shot and she puked. “That’s right let it all out. Ever one does it.” He gave Luna a pat on her head and they we're off.

When they got two miles from the base Luna stopped turned back to human form and was now helping Hartman walk. They walked for hours when a Humvee stopped. One marine came out and said “what are you doing with that marine?”
“Please help him he’s bleeding through the ear and he needs a doctor!” Luna exclaimed.
“What Happened?”
“I can explain that.” Hartman spoke up. He explained what happened all though he left out Luna being an alicorn and instead said that she’s an American citizen with amnesia. “Well that’s everything now... GET ME TO A MEDIC PRIVATE!!!”
“Yes Sir!”
20 minutes later
“Well sergeant I have some good news and some bad news.” The medic said taking off a pair of rubber gloves.
“What’s the bad news?”
“Well, you’re have a concussion and the fact that you fell asleep doesn't help that. It’s a miracle that you didn’t fall into a coma.”
“Great, so if that’s the bad news what’s the good news?”
“Well you get a two month medical leave.”
“Sweat! Thanks Gunny.” Hartman got up and left to the general's tent.
When he got to the tent the general was questioning Luna. “General” Hartman gave him a solute. The general looked at Luna then at him. The General was a, old man who didn’t like backtalk unless it had a good cause.
“Kate here does not remember anything but saving you. Which is interesting.” The general got up and walked to him, “I’m keeping her here. She might know something about the Taliban.” Hartman looked at him in defense. When he finally spoke up it was with passion.
“Kate is going back to the U.S. with me and I’ll be damned if it is any other way!” The general looked Hartman then to Luna. Luna was scared of what he was going to say. She looked at the ground for a while before the general spoke up.
“You got guts sergeant.” The general smiled, “lucky for you I like guts. If that’s what you want your plane will be here in two hours. Get packing.”
“Yes sir!” and with that and a solute Luna and Hartman were off.
Chapter 2
Home word.
As Luna and Hartman was waiting for the plain, a female marine came up to them. She was clearly Hispanic and had a Mexican accent. “Hey Hartman, so you getting off this hell-hole... Lucky.” She looks at Luna and sees that she doesn't have any shoes or socks on, “Hey what’s your name girl?” Luna looks at the woman for moment.
“My name is Kate I don’t know my last name thought.” Luna is acting like she’s really sad.
“Don’t sweat it girl. I’m Lance Corporal Jane Chavaz. I bet you're wondering how a beautiful woman like me is friend with this ugly guy.”
“I’m not that bad looking, Remember when we were stationed over in Japan. I got more girls than you got guys.” Hartman gave her a smile that said I won.
“Yeah but you didn’t do anything with them.” Chavaz shot back.
“I told you I’m waiting for the right girl.” Hartman shot back glaring at Chavez.
“Well don’t wait too long anyway, Kate where's your shoes girl?” Chavaz pointed at Luna feet.
“I don’t know.” Luna shrugged.
“How long until the plain get here?”
“In 15 minutes why?” Hartman said.
Chavaz sighed, “Well that’s not enough time to go back to the barracks so...” She put her foot by Luna’s. “Prefect” she took off her boots and socks. “Put theses on girl.” Luna looks at them for a while. “Don’t tell you forgot who to put boots on to.” Chavaz bent down and put her boots and socks on Luna. “You’re lucky that you’re going with Hartman, any other guy would try something.” She just finished tying the last boot when the plane arrived. “Well you’re all set. See you later Hartman, Kate.” She saluted and walked back to the barracks.
Hartman and Luna got up and walked on the plane. There was only about 10 other soldiers on and they were a separated by cargo. On the plain Hartman explained basic plain information.
The plain stopped over in Germany and they were in U.S. airspace in minutes. Hartman pointed out the window. “Princess, Check out one of the most popular U.S. landmarks.” She looked out the window to see the statue of liberty. Her eye went wide. She has never seen such a tall statue before. Hartman explained the history of lady liberty, to when it was first built to when the immigrants arrived and that it’s a beacon of hope.
“Wow that statute means that much to humans”
“Yeah, it’s one of the most popular tourist spots in the country.” Luna looked back at lady liberty and thought ‘wow in Equestria we have statues, but nothing like this.’ They looked back into each other’s eyes and for a minute Hartman thought about kissing Luna, but he didn’t.
The copilot came into the cargo bay. “We’ll be at Wright-Patt in about 10 minutes so I would get ready if I were-” The pilot stopped talking when she saw their faces about a half inch apart. “Am I interrupting something?” Hartman got up and walked over to the pilot.
“No, we were just checking for blood shot eyes!” Hartman said sarcastically. “Now, get back into the cockpit flyboy.” Night pushed the pilot into the cockpit and when back to Luna, “well that killed my mood.” He flopped on the canvas seat next to Luna.
They flew over DC and about ten minutes later they were getting of the plane. They passed through all the check points and they were out the door. As they were walking to Hartman’s car Luna kept looking at him. “Hartman were you going to kiss me?” He stopped dead in his tracks. He stared and blushed at Luna.
He stared at her and started to rub his head, “well Princess, uh… Oh look there’s my truck!” He went up to it and opened the door for Luna. “Well princess get in there’s something I’ve been craving ever since I left Afghanistan.” He helped her in the truck and he quickly got in. Luna stared at him.
“You’re avoiding my question. Now, were you going to kiss me?” Her stair was almost as intense as Fluttershy’s. Her stair softened she got closer to him and spoke in a lusty voice, “because if you still want to I’ll not fight it.” Hartman blushed.
“Well princess-“
“Please call me Luna.” She still spoke in the same lusty voice.
“Ok Luna… well uh HMM!” He was cut off Luna pressing her lips against his. His mouth dropped, Luna thought he was into it so she started to French kiss him passionately. When Hartman wasn’t kissing back Luna pulled away from the kiss to see Hartman paralyzed.
Luna waked a hand in his face, “hello, Luna to Hartman.” No response. Luna started to freak out “Oh shit I broke him. Help somepony help!” Luna yelled at the top of her voice. Two men in ABU’s came running.
“What’s wrong?” the darker skinned airmen asked.
“I kissed him and he just froze!” Luna exclaimed.
The lighter skinned aim men rubbed his head. “Well he a marine. Uh, I have a, Idea. My brothers a drill sergeant in the marines and he taught me how how to get my voice like there’s.” The airman took a deep breath. “GET THE FUCK UP MARINE, THIS ISN’T NAP TIME GET UP!!!” Hartman shot up and hit his head on the top of the truck.
“Ow!” Hartman rubbed his head. “Who the hell was that?” When he got his barring’s he found two airmen and Luna laughing their heads off. “Yeah very funny now if you two don’t mind getting out of my way before you get ran over.” The two airmen stopped laughing and walked away. “Now onto what I need.”
Luna wiped a tear from her eye, “and what’s that?” Hartman smiled and started his truck.
“Put your seat belt on.” Luna cocked a brow thinking dirty thoughts.
20 minutes later
“Welcome to McDonald’s may I take your order?” Luna was pouting about not getting what Hartman needed.
“Yes, I will take a Big Mac, large fries and a large coke.” He turned to Luna “Luna would you like something?” She looked at the menu.
“Do they have hay fries?”
“No,” he turned back to the speaker. “A fruit salad and a medium root beer. That’ll be all.”
“$15.07 at the first window, thank you.” Hartman drove put got the food and parked. He pulled out his big mac. Luna was staring at him.
“What?” He asked with a mouth full of big mac. She pointed to the sandwich.
“What’s that made of” He eyed the Berger and Luna.
Thinking for a moment he answered. “Bread, lettuce, tomato, cheese, big mac sauce.” He was avoiding what made the sandwich a hamburger.
“What’s that brown thing?” She was curious about what he left out.
Hartman swallowed and sighed. “Meat, from a cow.” Luna looked like she was going to be sick.
“Human’s eat animals?”
“yeah.” Hartman sat down the burger.
“What animals do you eat?”
He rolled down Luna’s window before speaking. “Chicken, pigs, cows, goat, turkeys” just as he thought Luna puked, lucky out the window. “Let’s go with things humans don’t eat.” He listed off everything he could think of. To Luna’s relief ponies were on the list. “That’s everything. So what do you think about human’s eating meat?”
Luna looked at Hartman then at the half eaten big mac. “As long as you don’t force me to eat it… I’m ok with it.” She smiled at Hartman and continued to eat. After Hartman through away the trash they set off for Hartman house. They did stopped a few times to get the cable and internet back on.

When they go his house it was 10:35 pm. His house was out in the country and was white and the lawn needs some work very big for someone that was only 23 with no family. Luna took notice to this and asked. “Do you have family that lives with you?” Hartman gripped the steering wheel and gritted his teeth.
He spoke in a voice that was mixed with anger and sadness, “No, my family is… not around.” Luna took notice and didn’t press on the subject. He parked the car and helped Luna out of the car. The entered the house. It had blan look to it. There was pictures of family on the wall, it almost looked like the apple family house but less southern and more guy with no taste. “The guest bed room is next to mine I’ll make the bed and tomorrow will go shopping for new close. I don’t think you want to wear the same thing all the time.” He smiled. “Oh, and tomorrow I need to show you something.”
“Can’t you just tell me now” Luna wanted to know now.
Hartman put his index finger in the air, “all good things come to those who wait.” He turned to open the bathroom door. “Now it’s been to long since I’ve had a shower so do what you want until I get out. K.”
Luna yawned, “I think I’ll go to bed.” She looked around, “Were did you say was my room.” She asked in imbursement.
“Come one I’ll show you.” Hartman went to a closet and pulled out a pillow, sheets and a heavy blanket. “It gets really cold in this house at night so you’ll want this.” He hands Luna the sheets. The walk down the hall to a, average size bed room. The wall were a plain white and the wooden bed was a full size plain wood tan. Hartman quickly made the bed, said good night to Luna and was back in the bathroom. He turned the shower on and waited for the water to get hot. ‘Most main characters in fics wait till the last minute to tell the ponies that there a part of a T.V. show for little girls… not me I’m telling her after breakfast. Man it’s been forever since I had a, real breakfast. Can wait!’ Hartman thought. The water was hot now. You could see the steam in the air. He took of his close and hopped in.

After his shower Hartman went straight to bed. It was late when he heard a knock on his bead room door. “Uhh, come in.” He moaned. Luna came through the door in her alicorn form. She trotted over to Hartman king size bed.
She asked “C-can I sleep with you to night?” Hartman eyes almost jumped out of there sockets. He turned around and looked at her.
“Why?”
She turned her head away from him and closed her eyes, “You’ll think it’s stupid”
He put a hand on her muzzle ‘wow her fur it’s so soft and warm’ “Luan nothing you say is stupid, now get in here.” He lifted the covers and Luna slowly got in. “Good, now tell me why you want to sleep with me.” He’s Lucky that it’s dark for more than one reason, one because he was making eyes at her and two because of a few tattoo’s he has.
“I’m scared.” The comment surprised him. This is princess Luna were talking about here. The best princess.
“Why?”
“You planet is so violent, and the air so dirty… And well you eat meat”
“Well thanks a lot!” Hartman playfully scowled. Luna hoofed him in the stomach again. “OW! If you keep doing that I’ll… I’ll bite your horn” He made a chomping sound.
“You wouldn’t!” Luna sounded very serious. Hartman opened his mouth and nibbled on her horn. She let out very loud moan. “S-stop!” She yelled between moans. Hartman quickly pulled away.
“Shit, sorry Luna. I didn’t know that would happen.” Luna turned around and crossed her fore hoofs. “Please turn around Luna. I’m sorry I didn’t know that would happen, please turn around.”
She did turn around but she was crying. “Well now you know you ass. So just shut up.” Luna snorted.
“You know if I knew that would happen I wouldn’t of done it.” He said in defense. She hoofed him in the stomach again. “That I deserved.”
“Got that right.” She throws a fore leg around him. “You’re right it’s freezing in this house” He put his arm around her says good night and they fall asleep at the same time.
Morning comes and Luna is up bright and early. Hartman on the other hand is sleeping in, he said something about how it’s the first time he’s had the chance to sleep in. Luna left the room for a shower in her human form. When she got back she thought it would be a good idea to lay out his close. His dirty ones were on the bathroom floor so she went on that. She opened a dresser. She didn’t find any uniforms but she did find a shirt that had a picture of her and writing that said “Luna is best princess” She was freaked out for a minute but then she thought back to last night. She had a sly smile on her face and got back into bed mumbling, “Good things come to thoughts who wait.”
An hour past before Hartman woke up. He smacked his lips. Luna was smiling like a little kid who knew a secret. He looked at Luna and said. “Ok what is it?” Luna hummed something and pulled out the shirt. Hid eyes grew wide as he tried to snach the shirt from her but her grip wouldn’t give. “I can explain everything. Just don’t jump to any conclusions! And give me the shirt.” She complied and gave up the shirt. Hartman put it on and a pair of sweat pants. They walked down to the living room. He turned on his Xbox and put on Netflex. He explained T.V. shows and MLP.
“Well lest see one of these episodes.” Luna was skeptical about the whole thing. Hartman put on “Mare in the moon part one and two.” When the two episodes were over Luna was in shock that somehow humans knew about Equestria. “This is impossible. How can you’ve known about use for so long?”
Hartman patted Luna on the back, “Well, Lyra is obsessed with humans so there must be a link between our worlds.” They sat there in silence, until Hartman broke the silence. “Come on were going shopping.” He got up and walked to his room. After a few minutes he came back in his Luna t-shirt and a pair of jeans. While He was changing Luna put her boots on. They got into the car seat belts on and all, but when Hartman tried to start it, it wouldn’t. He looked down at the gas gage, it was on E. “Damn it out of gas.”
Luna looked at him and asked, “How does it work?” He explained what he knew about cars. “I have an idea.” Luna’s hands glowed and the car started. She smiled as wide as Pinkie Pie. Hartman was in shock that magic again. They left and after a short pit stop they were at the mall.
Afghanistan 4 hours earlier.
Chavez was walking back to the barracks, when the general walked up to her. “Lance corporal Chavez.” She saluted the general. He looked at her and noticed that she didn’t have her boots. “There’s no need for that between friends. Where’s your boot at?”
“I gave them to that woman Hartman found.”
“About Hartman, I think he’s hiding something about that woman.”
“What?”
“That’s what I want you to find out. Hartman was acting like he knew her.” Chavez was shocked by what she just heard. The general wants her to spy on her best friend.
“I, I don’t know.”
The general put a hand on her shoulder. “Jane, if this woman knew Hartman before he found her, then it only makes since that he’s hiding something from us. She could be a Taliban cell for all we know.”
“No!” She violently brushed his hand off her shoulder, “He wouldn’t do that! Ever since what happend. He swore his life to the corps. Hartman wouldn’t do that!” She bit her lip, “Would he? I mean, Hartman is a good man. He stopped so many fights between other marines.”
“Yes he did but, that doesn’t mean he can’t change.” The general smiled.
“O-ok.” She closed her eyes and let her head hang.
The general handed her a back pack, she opened it to find a, iphone, a huge wad of hundred dollar bills and a camera. “The next plane will be here in 2 hours.” And with that he walked away.

Chavez is here!
Chavez got to Hartman’s house an hour after He and Luna left. She parked her car and went inside. She looked around the house, it looked like a family was living there by the furniture. “Looks like you were getting ready to have a family. Huh, sorry man.” She walked over to the kitchen. “Let’s see if you’ve been to the store yet.” She opened the fridge to find nothing but a half gallon of milk way past its expiration date. She picked it up and dumped it out side.
She made her way to the covered were she found a, unopened bag of chips. She took the bag and went into the living room. She turned on the TV and then the Xbox. She went to Netflix and under the recently watched was “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.” She gave a small sigh, “trying to turn that girl into a pegasister Hartman? Well she has the hair for it. Wonder if the carpet matches the drapes.” She hit play. “Maybe I should tell him that I’m a pegasister… Na!”
She watched “winter wrap up and was now scrolling through Hartman’s Instant quotes when she heard the back door opening. “How could you forget your wallet? You said ‘marines never forget their gear.’ And you just did” She heard Luna and Hartman walking to the living room.
“Ya, know you’re really starting to annoy me.” She heard a thud “OW! What was that for?” They rounded the corner to see Chavez sitting on the couch.
She got up with a, empty chip bag, “What’s up Hartman, Kate. You’re out of chips.” She slammed the bag on Hartman chest, he grabbed it and threw it away.
“Chavez First off, I had chips? Second off, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE!” He took a deep breath. “Third, I thought you weren’t going on leave for another month?” He walked over grabbed his wallet off the coffee table.
“First, yes you did have chips. I ate them. Second and third, I was worried about you taking advantage of Kate here. So I looked up your address and here I am.” She shrugged. “So, were are you two off to?”
“Well what you see what Kate is wearing is all the close she has. So we are going shopping” he sighs.
Chavez walks around Luna she sees no bra, “no bra huh. Bet no panties either.” She smacks Luna’s ass. She jumps, lets out a yelp and grabs her ass. “Nice ass Kate. Not to big not to, small.”

“CHAVEZ!” Hartman glared at her.
“That’s one of my names for it. But let’s get going.” Hartman started the car and a half an hour later they were at the mall.

“Fuck this!” He began to run out of the store “I’d rather fight the fuck’n Taliban then this old hag! Kate, Chavez I’ll be outside!” He sat on a bench outside and flipped open his phone. It was an old flip phone from Verizon. He looked around and spotted a Verizon booth and walked over to it. After getting the new droid he walked back to the booth were he saw the old woman who beat him. He almost took off running when the woman spoke up.
“Wait sonny” she started, “I’m sorry that I hit ya. It’s just when I see a man in there with no woman on his arm I get nervous.” She kina looked like granny Smith, she has a similar ascent too.
“Well next time don’t judge a book by its cover. Explicitly one that has a concoction.” He pointed to his ear that was bandaged.
“Oh my, what happened and why aren’t you in the hospital?”
“Just something that happened over seas nothing special. And I’ve been shot before so this is nothing.”
She smiled, “What branch are you in?”
“US Marines!” He answered with pride in his voice.
“My son is in the Air force. Oh and your friends told me to tell you that there done and ready for you to pay.” Hartman looked back to see the two at the cash register.
He took out his wallet and pulled out some cash. Here, This is 500 bucks, give it to them I am not going back in there!” the old lady complied and gave the money to Chavez. They came out with three large bags. Chavez gave him his change teased him for not going back in there. “How much did you spend in there?”
“400 dollars.” Hartman almost had a heart attack.
“Jesus Crist!” he spat out. “No, no you needed them and since there high quality they’ll last.” Hartman took a deep breath “Now were to?” They went to JC penny and bought very little. Luna thought it want dark enough. Then they were a Sears. One the way there though Hartman kept looking over at Luna. He even fell behind on purpose to look at her butt. She didn’t notice because he kept saying that his head kept hurting. But Chavez saw through his act.
At Sears Chavez left “Kate” with a sales associate, she told her that she needed something besides her uniform to wear and she need Hartman. She dragged him to a corner of the store. “alright here’s what’s going to happen; you’re going tell me that you like Kate more than a friend,” He started to protest but she stopped him, “and don’t give me any lies, I saw you looking at her ass. ‘My head hurts’ oh give me a break Hartman”
Hartman broke like a twig. “Your right I do have feeling for her. But I will not act on them. I’m still in pain Jane.”

Luna was mad because everything she wanted the sales associate who was really Cristian was pushing Luna toward brighter colors. Luna was very close to using her royal Canterlot voice. “I told you I don’t like bright colors. I want back, grey, and cobalt blue.”
“I think you’ll like to go away from tough’s dark colors and go with something more bright.”
Now Luna was almost to her breaking point. “If you don’t get me they style of close I want my boyfriend who is a marine will come over here. And trust me you don’t want that.” Good thing Hartman also taught her the proper terms for earth.
“Are you shore you won’t try any whites or maybe a nice yellow I’m shore god will -“ she was cut off by Luna shouting. Not in the royal canterlot voice but it was pretty loud.

Chavez had Hartman in a head lock when they heard “SHUT UP YOU BITCH, I DON’T BEVIEAVE IN YOUR GOD!” CRACK!
“Shit!’ they said in unison. They got up and ran to Luna to find a girl on the ground and Luna fighting with security.
“Can someone tell me what’s going on?” Hartman sounded like he was going to die right there of embassment.
“Ha, ha! Now that my boyfriend who is a marine is here your all dead.” Luna was being held back by four security guards.
“Kate… What the hell?”
Luna pointed at the sales woman, “That bitch wouldn’t get me the close I wanted and she called my style satanic.”
“Don’t call me a bitch you whore!” The sales woman chimed in.
Hartman looked at the sales woman, “Shut the fuck up before you get a foot shoved up your ass!” The woman said nothing. “Chavez question her and I’ll question Kate. Then will see the security footage to see who’s guilty.” Hartman took Luna over to jewelry and left the sales woman with Chavez.
Chavez turned to the sales woman. “Ok, now tell me what happened.”
“I just said to go away from all those dark colors and she just blew up!” She threw her hands in the air.
“And that’s the whole truth?”
“Yes!” She quickly answered.

“Ok so she wanted you to go with bright colors you said no and that she tried to push religion on you, and you said you don’t believe in our god then she smacked you.” Hartman sighs, “this is why I stopped going to church.” He gets up from the display case he was leaning on. “Let’s go”
They walked back to Chavez, who was sitting very quickly with the sales woman. Chavez wouldn’t stop glaring at her “Can we see the footage. I really don’t want to be near this woman.”
Hartman sighed, “Should I even ask?”
“No.”
“Fine let’s go.” With a security escort them to the security office they watched the whole thing and Luna was in the right. The manager from Sears came down and after explaining he, apologized for what happened. The woman lost her job for assaulting a customer. The finished there shopping there and there next stop was hot topic.
When Luna went in Rob Zombies Dragula started to play. “This song is very good.” Luna walked around the store when she saw the MLP stuff. She was shocked of all the cards, tattoos and apparel. She saw the Luna’s best princess and had to buy it. They spent close to an hour in the store. When they came out they had four large bags.
Hartman checked his phone. “Shit its five already. Let’s get going.” They left the mall and Hartman was totaling up how much they spent there. When He was done he dropped all the bags he was carrying and a, panic attack, “You spent 2,000 dollar in there!” He nearly face planted on the ground before Chavez caught him.
“Hey, Hartman calm down man.”
“Is that bad?”
Hartman calmed down enough to say, “For your wardrobe no. For my credit score yes.” He got up and loaded the bags in the car. He toasted the keys to Chavez “You drive, I need to lay down.” They left the mall and made a quick stop at a gun shop for some ammo and a BK for some dinner. Back at the house Hartman put in a movie.
“Now then. It’s time that you get reintroduced to a classic… Star Wars.”

Chapter V
Nightmare
4:45AM
Hartman was violently thrashing about in his sleep He kept muttering “not this again.” As he was thrashing about He hit Luna in the face. She shot up ready to yell at him for that when she saw that he was having a nightmare.
She began to shake him, “Wake up Hartman, it’s just a bad dream, wake up.” Hartman’s eyes shot open. He looked left and right. He shot up and grabbed a pistol on his nigh stand. He held it to Luna head. “T-Thomas, put the gun down.”
“WERE IS SHE!” He slammed Luna on the bed pressing the gun into her temple. “TELL ME!”
Luna began to cry, “Thomas, I don’t know who you’re talking about. Please… put the gun down.” She put a hand on his cheek. That was enough to snap him back into reality. He dropped the weapon on his king sized bed when he realized who he was going to kill.
“Luna…” he started to cry, “Oh my god Luna, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.” He got off the bed and punched his wall leaving a good sized hole. “It’s that damn dream. Why am I having it again?” He fell to his knees. He felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to see Luna in the moon light.
“Tell me about the dream, I can help.”
“You can’t.” Hartman sobbed
“Yes I can just let me in” Her hands started to glow.
“Ok” She placed her hands on his head.

Hartman and a female marine were making out behind a building in Kabul. The woman breaks the kiss to say “I love you” The two went back in. They continued to kiss for a good minute when Hartman broke the kiss to check his watch.
“I have to go on patrol. I’ll see you when I get back.” He pecked her on the cheek and walked away.
When Hartman got back from patrol the base was on fire and it was clear there was a, explosion. He feared the worst. He jumped out of the Humvee he was in and ran towards the wrecked base. ‘Please god, don’t let her be dead.’ He thought.
He ran past his friend captain Drake Taylor. Taylor ran up and tackled Hartman to the ground, he knew what Hartman was thinking. Hartman was struggling to get out of Taylors hold. “Get off me Taylor! I need to find her, I need to know that she’s ok.” He was almost free, but other marine came up to help Taylor.
“Hartman I’m sorry, but she’s dead.” Hartman stopped fighting, he was stunned by what he just heard. Taylor let go of him and helped him to his feet. “She was near the explosion when it happened. She was buried under the rubble it caused. I’m sorry Hartman.”
Hartman looked around until he found the rubble he was talking about. He took off running towards the rubble. Taylor and the other marine went after him. When Hartman got to the rubble. He started to dig, pushing rocks out of the way as fast as he could. “Were are you? Answer me please!” He was pulling the rubble away faster than ever.
Taylor caught up and pulled Hartman away from the rubble. As he did, a rock fell off the pile reviling a Marine Corps issue boot. “She’s right there! You have to let me get her!”
“No, someone else will!” he again almost got free but the other marine restrain him.
“Let me go!” the dream ended with Hartman breaking free and running back to the rubble.

Luna took her hands off Hartman’s head. They sat there for a few minutes, “what was her name?”
Hartman sat there for a minute, “Lynn.” His answer was quieter than a whisper, but Luna heard it. Luna embraced him in a soft hug. “There’s something I need to show you.” He broke the hug by standing up. He took his shirt off reviling a lot of tattoos. “The one on my back.” Luna walked around him to see in the moon light a full back tattoo of the Grim Reaper with the date 4/06/10 over the angle of death. “I got that the day that happened.”
Luna looked at the tattoo for a while. She didn’t know what the angle of death looked like here. She ask slowly, “Who is that?”
Hartman turned around, “the angle of death.” The answer wasn’t surprising to Luna because there was an angle of death in pony folklore. Luna didn’t want to press on the subject so she moved on, “now as for your dream and why you are having it.” There was a long pause. “You must find out why, and you must come to terms with it.”
“Can’t you just place some spell on me to repress it?” ‘You know why you’re having it Hartman.’ He thought.
Luna shook her head. “No, only you can stop the dreams by coming to terms with it is that you fear. Only then will the nightmare’s stop.” Luna paused. “How did you do it last time?”
Another long pause, “I didn’t”
“What do you mean?”
“I repressed it!” Hartman shouted.
Luna was shocked by his outburst, she had never seen him do that before. “That’s not healthy Hartman. Did you at least tell someone about it?”
“Only Chavez. But I made her promises to not tell anyone.” He finally turned around to face Luna. “Can you help me or not?”
Luna shook her head, “I can help find the reason why but only you can confront it.”
Hartman sighed, “I need a, drink.” He walked out of the room headed for the kitchen.

Down stairs in the kitchen Chavez was sitting at the breakfast table in her dress blues, with a case of beer. Hartman sat down next to her. “You’re up early.” Chavez said tossing a beer to Hartman. He opened it and chugged it down.
Wiping his mouth he said, “I could say the same for you.” He grabbed another beer from the box. “You herded us didn’t you?” He opened his second beer and began to chug it, but Chavez stopped him.
“Trust me getting drunk early in the morning is not a good idea.” She sat Hartman’s beer down. “And to your question, yeah I did here you guys that’s why I this is here.” She patted the case of beer.
She took a sip of Hartman beer. “Just the beginning I just got back so anything you two said or did is unknown to me.” Hartman breathed a mental sigh of relief.
“Trust me nothing happened. And I don’t think anything ever will.” Chavez smack him upside the head. “Ow! What was that for?” Hartman rubbed the sore side of his head.
“She wouldn’t want you to be acting like this man!” Chavez slammed the beer can on the table.
Hartman sighed, “I know it’s just my life has been filled with death. Lynn, my father, my mother, all dead before there time!” Hartman punches the table.
Chavez gave him a funny look, “what do you mean?”
“That’s right I never told you.” Harman quivered as he was thinking of painful memories. “My father died in the gulf war. They said the cause of death was an accidental discharge of another Marines weapon.” Hartman clenched his fist together. “But at his funeral a couple of his friends in his Platoon said that wasn’t the cause of death. They said that another marine killed him in cold blood.” He slammed his fist on the table. Chavez was freaked out by what she was seeing. Yeah, she’s seen Hartman mad before but not like this.
“And you’re mom?”
“She killed herself when I turned 18. In her suicide note she said she stayed alive to raze me and that she couldn’t live with you my father.” A tear falls from is eye, “I’m going back to bed.” Hartman walks up stairs to region Luna.

Hartman opens the door to his room to find Luna laying in bed shivering. He quickly got back into bed and wrapped Luna in tightly in his arms. She returned it by wrapping one of her arms around him. “Your back.” She laid her fore head on his. “I was getting worried.”
He closed his eye and yawned into his pillow, “Why would you be worried about a marine with mental issues?”
“You do not have mental issues” Luna snapped at him.
Hartman opened his eyes and stared at the woman in front of him. ‘Come on Hartman just say it, say will you be my very special somepony or do you want to go out some time.’ He was mentally beating himself over this. “Luna?”
“Yes?”
‘Come on Hartman say it! She’s obviously into you. I mean come on she’s snuggling up in bed with you.’ “Do you want to… sleep until noon?” ‘Damn it!’
She knew what Hartman was going to ask, she thought ‘you fucker! Why didn’t you ask me out?’ She kept that inside, for now. “That sounds nice.” She closed her eyes and fell asleep. Hartman on the other hand couldn’t fall asleep. For some reason he couldn’t get Arrowsmith’s I don’t wanna miss a thing out of his head.

Chavez opened the door to Hartman and Luna’s room and flipped on the lights. She said very loudly “Wake up you two, Hartman you have a doctor’s appointment at one so get up!”
“To early” Luna muttered
Hartman threw the covers over their heads. “The doctor can go fuck himself I’m tiered.”
“Ok you two.” Chavez walked over and flipped the mattress. They landed on top of each other and Luna’s breast landed on Hartman’s face. Chavez took the mattress of them. “Well looks like you two just got closer.” Chavez started to laugh as she put the mattress back.
You’d think that Hartman would push Luna off of him. No, he nuzzled Luna’s breast and muttered between her cleavage, “So soft and warm.” This caused Luna to jump up and slap Hartman. Chavez laughed even harder now. “OW! Jeez Luna that was a complement.” Hartman got slapped again.
Luna whispered in Hartman’s ear, “You idiot, don’t use my real name in front of Chavez.” Chavez was laughing so hard that Hartman got slapped twice that she didn’t pay any attention to what the two half naked people on the ground were doing. Luna grabbed Hartman little marine, “Yours is warm and… not soft.” Luna said in a lusty voice. This made Hartman squirm.
“Should I leave you to alone?” The sound of Chavez’s voice made them jump, Luna was now squeezing Hartman‘s little marine. That made him let out a loud moan. “One second thought, I think I’ll stay and watch.” Luna released Hartman got up and nearly threw Chavez out.
Luna smiled, “I’ll make shore he’s ready.” And with that she slammed the door. Luna turned to Hartman who was climbing back into bed with covers in hand. “What do you think you’re doing?” Luna crossed her arms.
Hartman pulled the covers over his head to shield himself from the light. “I’m going back to bed. Are you going to join me?” Luna used her magic to lift him off the bed. “Luna… put me down.” Hartman demanded.
“Ok” Luna released Hartman in midair. There was a loud thud and a grown.
“Uh, why did you do that?” Hartman go up wrestling with the covers.
Luna giggled under her breath, “because you wouldn’t get up.” Luna helped him to his feet. “Now get dressed.” Hartman reluctantly did as he was told. Luna grabbed a pair of short shorts, a black V-neck and left Hartman to his business. He went with is combat uniform. He knew that it would make women flock to him and he wanted to make Luna jealous. He walked down stair to find Luna trying a beer. After she took a sip she smacked her lips together.
Hartman leaned on the wall next to the stairs and crossed his arms, “So what do ya’ think?”
Luna sat the can down, “It’s smooth and not very sweet. It’s not something I’d drink all the time.”
This answer pleased Hartman. He did not want Luna dinking it for some reason. “You’re probly more of a wine kinda girl.” He walked over to Luna and Chavez and pulled out a piece of paper. “Chavez since you’re staying here you can go get the groceries.” He tossed the paper onto the table. Chavez picked it up list and skimmed it.
“Eggs, milk, butter blah, blah, blah. Jeez Hartman where’s the good stuff?” She folded the paper and put it in her right breast pocket. “Can I get some cash or do I have to pay for it out of my own pocket?”
Hartman pulled out his wallet, he counted out some cash and handed it to Chavez, “You can add things to the list if you want. Now where’s my doctor’s appointment at?”
Chavez counted the cash and put it in her wallet. “Mercy hospital in Springfield. Its 1:15 and considering that it took you 20 minutes to get down here and that Springfield is an hour away I’d get going.” Chavez gave Hartman a, evil smile.
Hartman looked at his watch, “12:05” He glared at Chavez. “Kate get your shoes, you can put them on in the car.” Luna did as she was told and made her way to the car. “Not one word Chavez.” In the car Hartman was speeding down the country rode. “Luna I never asked but why are you on earth?”
The question didn’t surprise Luna, she was waiting for the right time to bring it up. “I’m here to study humans. I wanted to know how humans acted so I became one.”
Hartman was not stunned like usual, he was curious. “So why did you go to Afghanistan?”
Luna hesitated “I heard about the war in a country called England and I was curious.”
“So what do you think of us so far?”
“Well… Your species is very violent” she paused “But you’ve shone me that not all humans are bad.” She gave him a soft smile.
“So what does your sister think of this?”
Luna bit her lower lip, “to be honest… she hates humans with a passion. When I told her that I wanted to do research on humans she was upset to say the least.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well she said I wasn’t allowed to talk to any humans and I couldn’t change into a human.”
Hartman slowed down when he entered a small town. “Well looks like She’s gonna be pissed.”
Luna chucked, “You know what would really make her made? If you came back with me to Equestria.”
“I like it!” For the rest of the ride was talking about ways to piss off Cesestia.

As they entered a sick little girl with a Rainbow dash plushy jumped up and yelled as loud as she could “O’ my-gosh, mommy, mommy that lady looks just like Princess Luna!” she ran over to the “couple” and hugged Luna’s Leg. The little girl had snot dripping from her nose. Luna gave mouthed ‘what should I do?’ Hartman gave her a nod saying ‘I got this.’
“Well Luna looks like you have a little fan,” Luna was shocked by how Hartman was handling this. “What’s your name little one?” Hartman squatted down to try and get eye level with. But with is 6’6 height he was still taller than the girl.
Her mother came over and tried to pull her daughter off Luna’s leg. “I’m sorry about this” as she tried to get her kid off Luna She was stopped by a hand. It was Luna’s.
“It’s alright I get this a lot.”
The little girl’s eyes shot up at Luna when she spoke, “You sound just like her too!”
Hartman decide that this was good pay back for what happened to his little marine earlier. Her mother smiled at the two, “I’m going to go get checked in you two uh, play alicorn.” Luna gave him another death glare, but her face soften when she saw the sick girls face light up.
“Um, Luna?”
“Yes little one.”
“I’m not little!” She stomped her foot on the ground in protest, “Um, will you say the thing you said on nightmare night.” Luna cocked her head, “you know “The fun has been doubled” she said almost like Luna but was interrupted by caughs.
Luna crossed her arms, “First you must answer my guard’s question” Luna paused “What is your name?”
The girl answered proudly “My name is Peyton and when I grow up I’m going to be a police man just like my dad!”
“Well that is in case,” Luna sighed She razed arm in the air “Ha, Ha. The fun has been doubled!” Luna said it just like she did on nightmare night. The received looks from the other people in the waiting room, but they didn’t care.
Hartman left chuckling that Luna actually did that. He walked up the front desk. There was a, young woman with a long blonde hair and sea blue eyes. She had a gold cross around her neck. Her smile was warm and welcoming. “How can I help you today sir?”
Hartman had a sly smile on his face ‘this will drive Luna crazy’ He leaned in “Well first you can tell me why god sent an angle to a doctor’s front desk?” She raised her hand to her mouth and giggled at the cheesy pick up line. Luna took notice to this, she put Peyton down and walked with a, anger look on her face.
She wrapped her arms around Hartman’s left arm. “Have you signed in yet honey?” she smiled coyly and squeezed his arm so tightly the blood was cut off. She smiled at the receptionists, the smiled said he’s mine! The receptionists backed off. Hartman signed in and sat next to Payton. The couch there was not very comfortable so Luna sat on Hartman’s lap.
‘Jesus, I thought I was the one who was going to embarrass Luna, not the other way around.’ He looked over to Peyton who was looking at them funny. “Luna can you get off me please?”
Luan wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled up to him, “but you’re so comfy.”
Peyton rolled her eyes “are you to dating or something?”
“Yes, were in love” Luna batted her eye lashes.
Peyton acted like she was gagging herself, “blech, that’s gross!” She crossed her arms sniffed up some snot back into her nose and said. “Love is gross you’ll never find me “Falling in love” She air quoted falling in love.
Hartman reached between him and Luna and pulled out a handkerchief. He held it to Peyton’s nose and said “Blow” She did and covered the handkerchief with her snot. She smiled at Hartman. “Keep it” He handed the cloth to the girl.
A nurse came out of a door, “Miss Peyton More. The doctor will see now.”
Peyton got up and hugged Luna and Hartman, “Thanks Luna it was really fun playing and talking with you.” She Ran to the nurse.
Her mother got up and turned to Luna and Hartman, “Thank you for keeping Peyton Company” she paused “what’s your name though.”
Luna smiled “My parent’s actually named me Luna… They were hippies.”
The mother nods, “Well thank you both.” She walked to her daughter who was waiting with the nurse. The rest of the time they were in the waiting room Luna kept making Hartman look like her bitch. When the nurse called him back Hartman jumped up and tried to fast run to the nurse, but Luna caught him and wrapped did the same thing he did whenever they walked. A man in a, ACU uniform gave him a sympathetic look. Hartman mouthed, help me as they walked through the door.
They entered a white room with two beds, a lot of equipment and one TV. The nurse did what she needed to do. Take blood presser, tested his hurt ear ext. When the nurse left Hartman closed the door and glared at Luna who was just sitting on the bed with a, innocent look on her face. “Luna” Hartman growled.
“Yes?” her innocent look was cracking.
He walked up to Luna so close they could almost kiss, “what was that?”
“What was what?” She asked grinning ear to ear.
“That shit you pulled in the waiting room.” Hartman was trying to stay as calm as possible.
Luna started to pout, “You mean you didn’t like it.” Hartman sat down next to her.
Hartman sighed. “No I didn’t. It was humiliating to be treated like that.” He was looking every ware but at Luna. “You latching on to my arm I’m ok with and the kisses on the cheek are fine. But you took it over board in there.” Luna said nothing she just stared at the ground. “I’m ok with some things but not all of that.” Hartman put a hand on Luna’s shoulder. She looked up to see his deep blue eyes staring right into her soul. Their faces drew closer so close their lips almost touched.
The door opened and a, old man who looked like he was from India came in. He had a thick Indian ascent. “Ok let’s see he-“ He paused when he saw how close Luna and Hartman were. “I’m I interrupting something?” His eyes widened when he saw who they were. “You two are the ones who were being all lovey duby in my waiting room. You do know that children come here too. Right?” He cocked a brow.
Hartman and Luna pulled away at the same time. They were blushing wildedly. Hartman cleared his throat. “Yes well my girlfriend has been having… Urges since I got back from overseas.” Luna shot a dirty look at Hartman. ‘Let’s see how you like be called horny all the time.’ Hartman thought
The doctor nodded, “Well since that is happening there is two answers to that.” He was getting out some of his tools, “one she’s missed you, or two you’re not satisfying her in bed.”
Hartman’s face redden when the doctor said that, “hey buddy I’m great between the sheets!”
The doctor nodded, “is that true miss…”
“Kate, but my friends call me Luna. And now that I think about it he is kinda lacking in that department.” Luna giggled.
Hartman’s face became redder. “You know we do have surgery’s to fix that problem.”
“Shut up! I’m not lacking in that area! You wanna see it?” Hartman face palmed at that.
Luna patted him on the back, “Not in that department more in the experience department. Trust me on that one.” She knew that from that little encounter this morning.
The doctor looked at his cart, “ok then now that’s out of the way, mister Hartman well have to get some scans of your brain” he walked over to the cabinets and pulled out a gown. “Please strip down and put this on. I’ll be getting the cat scan ready.” He turned and left the room.
Hartman turned to Luna and began to take his shirt off. “Turn around Luna. Now.” Luna did as she was asked. “No peaking.” Hartman ordered. Luna did turn around. Not to see his little marine but to see the grim reaper tattoo on his back. She couldn’t help but feel sad for him. There was two other tattoos she hasn’t seen before one was a name written I cursive and the other was a gunnery sergeants emblem on his shoulder blade. They both had dates by them. The name was dated 11/22/10 and the gunnery sergeants was dated 12/24/91.
Hartman caught her as he was taking his pants off. “What did I say?” Hartman voice wasn’t stern but playful.
“No peaking.” Luna back around and Hartman continued to change. After He was done changing Luna turned around and couldn’t help but giggle at Hartman. “If you tell anyone or pony you’re in trouble, got that.” The doctor came back in to grab Hartman for his cat scan. The doctor said that the results would be back in 2-5 days and he’ll call when they come in.
Chapter VI
Shooting
Hartman’s House
3:45 PM
Warning: Firearms will be in this chapter. There will be detailed information on the weapons and the second amendment will be advocated. If you’re a fan of The Young Turcks you will not like this chapter. Anti-gunners you have been warned.

Hartman walked through the door followed by Luna. Chavez wasn’t back yet so Luna turned back into her alicorn self. She used her magic to help Hartman with his yard work. She manly helped pull weeds and cut the grass. After they were done they were tied and sweaty. Luna transformed back into her human form. She put a black bikini that showed a lot of cleavage. Hartman took his shirt off some time ago.
He laid down under a tall oak tree were a blanket has been laid out by Luna. Luna followed him under the tree. She laid down next to him and put her head on his sweaty chest. “Don’t lay on me Luna, I’m all sweaty.” Luna put her arm under her head. She used her free hand to rubbed Hartman’s tattoos.
“Why do humans get these?” She stopped at a tattoo of a M16 that was right above Hartman’s elbow.
Hartman thought for a minute, “Well there’s a lot of reasons why. For one, it can be a way of remembering something or someone, like the tattoos on my back.” He patted a cross on his left shoulder. “Others can show religion.” Then he went to his fore arm witch had semper-fi on it. “Others show friendship. This one I got right after basic training with four other guys. We got this one because on matter what we will always be loyal to each other.” He then went to his right shoulder witch had the eagle globe and anchor. “I got this one when I realized what the Marines meant to me.”
Luna touched each tattoo. She stopped at the Marine Corps Emblem, “What does it mean to you?”
“To protect and serve my country. To protect people I don’t even know. Not just people in the U.S., if I see someone in harm’s way who don’t deserve it. I protect people not because I have to. I protect people because it’s the right thing to do.”
Luna eye widen, she hugged Hartman tight “that I’m going to integrate that into the Equestrian Guard.”
Hartman pat’s Luna’s backs, “come on lets head inside. The basement is ice cold.” They get up and start walking back to the house. “One last thing” Hartman became a lot more serious. “I need to teach you how to defend yourself when the time comes.”
They entered the house and made their way into the basement. “What do you mean?” They started down the basement stairs.
Hartman flipped the light switch on. “You’re Princess Luna. If anyone found out they’ll try something. If there a brony, they’ll worship you. If there a, person who wants power by any means, they’ll cage you.” Hartman was clearly getting angry at the thought. “Drug you, test you, and dissect you just to see how your magic works… I will never let that happen!” He shouted the last part. Luna gave him a sympathetic look. “That’s why The U.S. has the second amendment. To protect ourselves from each other… and from a tyrannical government.”
The basement looked like a living room, only there was a pool table, couches and a very big TV. At the end of the room are two large gun safes. Hartman made his way to the safes. He unlocked it and pulled out an AR-15 an AK-47 and a Springfield Armory XD 45. He made shore they were unloaded. He picked Up the AR, “This is a, AR-15. It shoots .233 Remington or a 5.56x45mm bullet.” Hartman held up the 5.56 round and handed it to Luna.
Luna expected the round, “this weapon looks like the one you had when we first met.”
“It’s similar. That was a M4, the difference between that one and mine is that one is a select fire rifle.” Hartman went on to explain firearm safety. Then, the difference between the two rifles. He went on to compare his rifle with a mil-spec rifle, and that he would rather have his rifle than a military one. His rifle could with stand more torment because he has a piston driven AR. Which yes has its own problems, but it can run dry and there easier to clean. Plus his rifle looks as sexy as Luna. But Hartman would never say that to Luna.
Then he showed her his AK-47. He showed her the differences Between the AR and the AK. The biggest one is the round it fires. The AK shoots a 7.62x39mm. He said the AK has a piston in it too but it’s more reliable because the parts has more space between them. Unforchantly that makes them less accurate. He then showed her how to load the rifles and how to field strip them.
He picked up the XD 45. He showed her how to load the weapon. He explained the mechanics of the hand gun and how it worked on the recoil pushing the slide back to extract the expend casing and load in a fresh round. Then he went on to explain the striker fire system of the XD and all of the safety fetchers of the weapon, to the striker indicator on the back to the chamber indicator on the top by the extracting port.
Hartman grabbed a lot of loaded magazines and ear plugs. (And for you gun “experts”, magazines can stay loaded for a long period of time and the springs will not ware out. It’s the loading, shooting then reloading the magazines that weakens the springs.) They made their way to Hartman’s back yard. As Hartman was setting up targets Chavez drove up the drive way to see Luna holding an unloaded AK-47.
She jumped out of the car and started to run towards Luna to take the firearm. Hartman stopped her midway, “Relax, I’m teaching her how to shoot.” Chavez looked at the firearm on the table, she took note of each one.
“No shotgun Hartman what are you doing?” She picked up the XD and looked down the sights. “Where’s your gun safe at?”
Hartman points at the house, “In the basement the safes should be open.” She put down the weapon and went down and about five minutes later she came back with a 12 gage Remington 870 tactical. “Do you think Kate can handle that?”
Luna was offened by that, “What’s so bad about that?” She pointed to the shotgun.
Hartman took it from Chavez’s hands and checked if it was loaded. It was. “I’ll show you.” The two marines put ear plug in.
Luna was confused about this, “why are you putting those in your ears?”
Hartman smiled ‘does she not remember what happened when we first met?’ Against his better judgment he shouldered the weapon and sent three rounds of buck shot down range. He lowered the weapon and smiled at Luna who was covering her ears. “And that is how a shotgun works.” Luna looked at him like she was going to kill him.
She walks up to him and slaps him leaving a nice red mark on her cheek. “My ears are ringing now you ass!” she took the spare pair of ear plugs and began to put them in.
Hartman was rubbing his cheek, “Is assaulting me going to become a regular thing or is it only going to be on special occasion?” Luna slapped him again. “Jesus, if you’re this abusive to me now. What would happen if we had sex?” This caused Luna’s face to redden. She turned away from the marines, she muttered something about biting horns.
Chavez broke the silence, “Ok let’s get shooting, I’ll take the AK, Hartman you show Kate how to use the hand gun.” They did as they were told Chavez shot the target with the buck shot in it.
Hartman handed Luna the weapon and did the macho guy showing his girl how to shoot by getting behind her and grabbing her hands, you know. “Put your foot here, bend your left arm.” Luna complied, “line the back sight with the front. Once you’re lined up put your finger on the trigger and squeeze. Aim for the center of the target, and breathe.”
Luna waited for a few seconds. She fired the weapon. She was only two inches from the bull’s eye. “Damn, I missed.” Luna pouted. Hartman took the weapon from her hand.
“Luna that was great!” Hartman Looked at Hartman. “You’re a natural shot. You just need to practice.” Luna smiled at that, “most people who first start needs to practice for months sometimes years to shoot like that. Watch me because tomorrow will work on double taps and reflex shooting at the end if I think you’re ready.” Hartman razed the weapon and double tapped his target, Luna’s and Chavez’s twice in about 11 seconds.
Chavez was upset of that because he messed up her tight grouping. After a small grudge match between the marines, witch Hartman won. He went on to teach Luna to shoot the AR and the shotgun. After two hours of shooting they went into eat dinner. At the dinner table Hartman said that once Luna was done with learning how to shoot, they’ll go and buy her an AR and a Handgun of her choice of course. The rest of the night Luna and Hartman talked about the pistol caliber debate.
Chapter VII
About time
Two days have passed. Luna excelled at reflex shooting but had trouble with double tapping. They were now at a gun shop buying Luna’s weapons. She chose a Spikes tactical AR-15 with a 7 inch Mono lithic rail system, an eotech, a Magpul CTR stock and a Magpul RVG, P mags and some standard rail covers. She was having trouble picking a handgun. In the end, picked the 9mm Sig Sauer P226. Hartman messed with her about going with a smaller caliber round, but he respected the 9 for what it is.
Then they went to a military surplus store and got her tactical gear. Most of the time finding tactical gear for woman is hard. But Luna’s boobs were big enough that it didn’t matter. (In case you are wondering her bra size is C 36.) She went with a soft body armor and over that she picked out a condor elite tactical vest in black, a one point sling, a Blackhawk Serpa holster belt mount. A dump pouch, knee pads, and a pair of Oakley sun glasses. The total of the shopping trip was over three thousand dollars.
Hartman didn’t have a heart attack this time because he helped pick out the gear. They got into the truck, new toys in hand. They were hungry so they stopped at a local 50’s restaurant in the area. They went into the 50’s dinner, it was a small place but looked very cool, and there was a jukebox at the end of the room by an empty booth. They went over to the booth and took their seats. Soon after a waitress came to the table. “Welcome to the 50’s dine in what can I get you three today?”
Luna looked at the menu, “Do you have anything without meat?”
“We have a veggie burger, side fries and a root beer.”
“I’ll take that.” Luna said closing the menu.
Hartman scanned the menu, “I’ll have the cheese burger with a side of fries and a coke.”
“I’ll have the chilly dog same side and drink as him.” Chavez closed her menu and handed it to the waitress. The waitress took the menus and left as two guys came in who looked like they were in high school. One was in shape wearing a Derpy Hooves t-shirt. The other one was not so in shape. As a French man would say “he’s Fat lazy American.” They saw Luna, so they walked over to the both on the other side of the trio. Hartman spotted the two he overhead them talking about Luna.
“Dude check out that girl.” He discreetly points at Luna who was sitting on the outside of the booth. She was wearing short shorts again because of the heat outside. “She got a tat of Luna’s cutie mark. We should double team her, man”
He turned to Luna who was talking to Chavez about firearms. “Luna could you let me out I want to change the song.” Luna let him out, but when the high schoolers saw Luna tight ass that exited them even more. Hartman was open carrying that day, he flashed his XD at the guys. At the same time he shot them a look that said try something I dare you. Hartman changed the song to Elvis Presley Jailhouse rock.
He got back in on the outside this time. He wrapped his arm around Luna’s waist and pecked her on the cheek. He whispered to Chavez, “were acting like were dating to keep the pretenders at bay.” Luna didn’t notice but Hartman nodded towards the two bronies next to them. She nodded in return. Luna got as close as she could to Hartman. Not to keep up appearances, but because she had strong feelings for him and wanted to get as close as she could to the man who caused those feelings. Even if it was fake at the time.
Dinner came and the two marines scarfed down the food. Luna on the other had was respectful to everyone else at the restaurant. When she was finished she done she said, “I have to use the girl’s room. Honey can you let me out?”
Hartman was reluctant to let her out. He didn’t like acting like he had to use the restroom. And if he stood at the door he would look over protective. “Chavez, do you have to go?”
Chavez shrugged, “Nope.”
‘Great’ He got up too let Luna out. Chavez gave him a look that said don’t follow her. Luna walked to the restroom that was around a corner by the entrance to the kitchen. After a minute the two bronies got up and walked toward the restrooms. They waited for Luna to get out.
When she came out the more in shape guy stopped her. “What’s up pretty lady? My name is Brad and this is Drake.” He had one of those sly player voices, “We could ditch this place, head to my truck outside, go some were and fuck.”
Luna laughed at the two, “ha, ha. Sorry boys but I have a boyfriend. And I don’t do two at once.” Luna began to walkway but Drake stopped her.
Brad put his hand on Luna’s butt. “We weren’t asking baby.” He pushed Luna agented the wall. They were getting ready to have their way with Luna whose eyes were clamped shut, when they felt a hand on their shoulders.
They turned around to see Hartman. He slammed them onto the ground, looked at them and said. “Wrong move touching my girlfriend.” He checked Luna over. She was just shaken, “Get the hell out of here before you wind up with a bullet in your skull.” The two didn’t leave.
The two got up, “how about you get out of here.” Brad pulled out a knife. In response Hartman pulled out his XD. The two still didn’t back down. Brad swung his knife at Hartman. Hartman dodged it but now he was angry.
He put the pistol to brads head. “Get out.” Hartman said flatly. The two ran off so fast that they left dust clouds. He turned to Luna, “Are you o-Uh!” He was cut off by Luna slamming into him giving him a strong hug.
She looked up at Hartman. “My marine.” Hartman rolled his eyes.
“Come on let’s pay for our meal and get out of here.” They went back to their table to find that Chavez paid for Lunch. Hartman shrugged it off. After all, she did help Luna spend over two thousand dollars of Hartman’s money. So it was a good refresher. They left for the truck when Hartman’s phone rang. The color ID said that it was the hospital. “Hello?” it was his doctor.
“Hello Mr. Hartman, you’re test results are back and I have some bad news.”
“Lay it on me Doc.”
“Well you have some irregular brain activity. One top of that when you hit your head jumping out of that truck you caused some brain damage… you will have to into surgery.” Hartman was stunned of what he had just been told.
Hartman asked in a shaky voice, “so when is it?”
“Well not for another week a specialist is being flown in. well give you a more accurate date when she comes.”
“K. thanks doc.” Hartman hung up the phone and put it back in his pocket. The stood there for a few seconds then Hartman past out.
Luna bent down and started to shake Hartman, “Hartman wake up! HARTMAN!”
Chavez picked her up off of Hartman, “Relax, he just passed out. He’ll be fine.” The loaded Hartman in the back seat and strapped him down with some 5 50 they found under the seat. The ride back to the house was mostly quiet. Besides Victory Secret this was the only time that the spent alone. And the last time was even more accord because Chavez was Bisexual. About half way home Chavez spoke up. “Kate do you like Hartman?”
Luna didn’t answer for a few second. Not because she was thinking about it, it was because she forgot that except for Hartman everyone called her Kate. “Uh” Luna shook her head, “sorry. What was the question?”
Chavez sighed, “Do you like Hartman?”
The question made Luna think ‘Yes I do like him why?’ but instead of saying that she said, “what do you mean?”
“Come one, were not some teenage brats. Do you like Hartman?”
“Why do you want to know?”
Chavez turned into the drive way, “Because what if you have a husband and kids. And let’s say you do like Hartman and you two start to date.” That thought made Luna flutter on the inside. “And then you get married have, have kids. Then one day at Walmart some guy comes up to you with two teenagers saying “Honey it’s been so long!” comes up hugs you and starts to cry. Then what?” Chavez parked the car.
“I think I’m a little young to have kids Chavez.” Luna said, taking her seatbelt off. “I’m only 23.”
They got out of the car, carrying Hartman to the house. “That’s the age most people start a family.” They went in and sat Hartman on the couch. “What do you say we just leave him here?”
“That sounds good. He’s really heavy.” Luna said plopping on the love seat. Chavez went up stair. She came back looking like she was going clubbing. She picked up the keys to her car and started to walk out the door. “Were are you going?”
Chavez turned around, “it’s been a while since I got any and I need some bad.” She turned back around and walked out the door. Luna was left alone with Hartman. She walked over to the unconsise marine. She put her hand on his left cheek. She moved her hand down his body feeling his mussels down his body. She went a little too far down and was in contact with the gun every man is born with. An improper thought entered her mind that involved her, Hartman, some rope, a gag and a bull whip. She took her hand off after literally five minutes of thinking that. She then used her magic to carry Hartman up stairs. She striped him down to his boxers and covered him up. She had to restrain herself from trying something.
Luna went back down stairs, she checked the time, 3:45 pm. She went back to the living room watch TV. She sat down and flipped through the channels. She stopped on the hub. Batman was on, as he was watching, she couldn’t help but see Mare Do Well. She got tired of the TV and went outside in her alicorn form. She flew around for a few hours until she heard a car. She turned back into a, human and hid behind a tall bush.

Chavez was driving back up the driveway. She didn’t get any so she a little upset to say the least. She stopped the car abruptly when she saw Luna in her alicorn form. She thought she was seeing things so she rubbed her eyes. Shore enough Luna was there. She took out her Iphone and started to record Luna Flying above all the trees near Hartman’s house. That was the only thing hiding her from Luna.
Luna must have heard Chavez’s car so she started to glow. The glow morphed into a human. “Kate is Princess Luna!” Chavez got it all on film. Luna flying around, her turning into a human, all of it. She took a deal breath and stopped recording. She took a few deep breaths and continued up the drive way. Chavez stepped out of the car to see Luna standing behind a tall bush.
“Hey girl what are you doing back there?” Chavez yelled across the huge back yard. Sh noticed Luna’s close on the porch.
Luna poked her head out and yelled back, “I figured since Hartman want going to be up for a while I would get a full body tan. I heard a car coming up, so I ran behind this bush.”
Chavez picked up Luna’s close and walked over to give them to her. After they went inside to check on Hartman.

20 minutes earlier.
Hartman woke up not realizing were he is at first because the last thing he remembered was passing out in a parking lot. After he got his barrings, he realized were is. When he turned to Luna’s side of the bed he felt sad that she wasn’t there. He got up and checked his phone. 5:30 pm. He turned on the light to find a clean pair of close laid out for him. He put them on and then plopped back on the bed.
‘How could I even think about dating Luna’ He thought. ‘I mean come on, she’s not even the same species as me. Not to menschen that she lives on another planet. ‘Hartman puts his hands behind his head and stairs at the sealing. ‘And her sister hates humans. I’m a fucking marine, we’d be away all the time. And I’ve killed people. She’d be scared of me if I told her why my call sign is monster.’ Hartman closed his eyes, ‘but she accepts me for who I am. She saw me about kill a kid for toughing her. She saw the guys I killed the day we met. But she still accepts me.’
Hartman went on to list the good and bad things about them being a couple for fifteen minutes. After all of everything he decided to ask Luna out. But how? He’s asked women out before, but this was a princess, the princess of the night. Hartman loved the night, it was peaceful. He walked to the door, grabbed the door knob and didn’t open it. “Damn it Hartman, why can’t you open the door!” Hartman walked away from the door. “Hartman if you don’t do this you’re a pussy.” Chavez and Luna walked in, but Hartman didn’t notice. “A FAT, WET, TIGHT, PUSSY!”
He turned around to see Luna and Chavez, arms crossed and smiling ear to ear. “Well, whose pussy are you talking about?” Luna asked walking over to Hartman. Hartman stood there in shock. Chavez left the room because the last time he said that it was when he was going to ask out Lynn. Hartman stood there mouth opened, Luna got as close as she could.
