The Slaughter

We silently exited our beds out the window and flew to a place Rainbow called Sugarcube Corner. Upon arrival, she knocked on the door, because it was technically closed, and we were greeted by a stallion with very peculiar, and familiar characteristics. His coat, mane and tail were the same as the demon's, a black that trapped you if you looked at it, and he had wings like a bat's, made of a leathery substance instead of feathers. There was a major difference, but it was still just as unnerving, his eyes, they were a blue that invited you in, a blue that seemed friendly, almost too friendly.
"Oh hello Rainbow Dash, you must be here for Pinkie, I'll go get her." He said, and he left us in front of the counter.
"Who was that?" I asked while leaning over to Rainbow.
"Oh that? That was Shadowfang, he moved here before you did."
"Oh, ok." I decided to end the conversation on account of Pinkie nearly killing me in one of her hugs, but I made a mental note to look into this 'Shadowfang' character.
"Hi guys! They let you out of the hospital already? Right after your, um... incident? Thats weird, but never mind you guys are probably hungry, why else would you visit me? Unless you want to plan a party! But wait a party has already been-"
"Uhh yeah Pinkie we came here cause we were hungry. Not for anything else, nope no sir, nothing else at all." Rainbow cut her off, and laughed nervously.
Oh great a surprise welcome party, my favorite. I thought sarcastically as Pinkie went into the back.
I looked out the window at the night sky. I couldn't remember seeing anything more beautiful. Then again I don't remember much in the first place. I looked at the moon, on of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I walked towards the window to get a better look when the room lit up. It took me a second to realize that it was just the moon reflecting off of my silver coat.
Yes my name is definitely Silver Moon. I thought, happy that I could confirm something about my past.
"No matter how beautiful it is, it still won't match her." I thought, aloud.
"Who?" Rainbow asked from behind me.
"Oh no one, just the mare of my dreams." I replied with a face the couldn't be read.
"And who might that be? It isn't Rarity is it? Oh for Celestia's sake we don't need another Spike on our hands!" She said.
"No its not Rarity." I deadpanned while stifling wave upon wave of laughter.
I looked back outside, this time with the rainbow maned pegasus looking beside me. I let my eyes wander to the destruction before me.
"Oh no," I said, "maybe you shouldn't have brought me to the hospital, maybe I should have payed for this, no I definitely should have payed for this, yet you still risk your life, and the lives of your very neighbors, just to save me some stranger who can't remember his past, why?"
"Because you saved my life, twice, and I have only accounted for one of those, I still owe you another." She said, and did I catch a hint of seduction in those words?
It was then that I realized that I had my suit on the entire time I was here.
"Hmmm... suit retract?" I commanded it.
The suit complied as it retracted into itself, forming a pair of saddlebags on by back. The room was instantly ten times brighter, as more of the moon reflected off of my coat.
"Whoa...thats so awesome!" Rainbow said.
"Heh, yeah. It is." I replied dreamily, for I wasn't really paying attention, I was to busy staring at the beautiful, glowing blue pegasus before me.
I saw Pinkie staring at me from around the corner that led into the kitchen, with the biggest grin I had ever seen. I looked at her, and she did some motions that to me looked like a bunch of ways she could kill me, all while mouthing words. I could only understand one of them, it seemed like it was repeated over and over, DIE. She then brought over two cupcakes that looked exactly the same, but handed them to each of us. She handed them to us! She didn't put them down on the table, so we could randomly choose which one to have! Probably because she didn't want to poison her friend, but she wanted to poison me! That had to be it!
"Thanks Pinkie! We have to go now, so I can show Silver where his new job will be, if he is interested." Said Rainbow, oblivious to the death threat I had just received.
Once we were out of Sugarcube Corner, I silently told my suit to scan the cupcake for any signs of poisonous chemicals.
"Negative. No harmful chemicals found. The compound is composed of-" My suit was interrupted by Rainbow flying in front of my face.
"Are you going to eat that?" She asked.
"Uh no probably not." I replied, I wasn't sure that there weren't any forgotten poisons in the cupcake.
"Why not?"
"I...want to keep an athletes diet so I can stay fit." I said, proud of myself for thinking of such a good lie.
"Right of course." She said as I watched her eyes wander from my face around my somewhat lean and fit body.
I was strong and I looked the part, but I still had barely any muscle tone compared to Otis.
Otis? Who is Otis? I wondered, but I knocked it up to it being some kind of celebrity.
"Anyways," I said to draw her eyes back to my face, "you were gunna show me where my new job was?" I asked, reminding her of the task at hand.
"Right, well we are already here." She said, pointing to the run down abandoned building next to us.
"Um are you sure?" I asked her wearily.
"Yeah, I'm sure." She said as we walked up to the only pony in sight.
When he saw Rainbow, he knocked on the brick, and a pair of eyes looked out from the wall. He whispered something to the eyes and a door opened. We were immediately flooded with loud beeps and whines that were blended together to make a robotic symphony. We were also flooded with the smell of burgers, fries and beer.
"This is my kinda place!" I yelled at her to be heard over the music.
"I thoguht it would be! Thats why I brought you here! Now, I know the owners pretty well and I might be able to persuade them to let you have a job here as a bouncer. The pay is reasonable, all you have to do is knock on the door when a customer approaches and deal with any fistfights in the place!" She told me.
"Ok! That sound good! Now lets go find the owners!" I replied.
"Great! We wont have to look very hard! One of them is the DJ and one of them works the bar! They take turns, and even with the different styles of music, food and drinks every time they switch, they still manage to get a full house almost every night!"
"Alright! Lets get to it!" I said while chuckling.
"Whats so funny?" She asked.
"I just realized, I gunna be working the corner!" I said as I bust out in laughter.
Rainbow joined me and we laughed until there were tears in our eyes, then we walked over to the bar where a white mare with a blue mane and tail and a strange tattoo on her side, was currently serving a really drunk stallion some french fries.
Whats with those tattoos? Everypony seems to have one. I wondered.
I noticed that if her coat was a little more reflective and her man and tail were whiter, we would look like twins. Seeing a chance for some fun, I silently told my suit to give me the same pair of glasses as her and to dye my mane and tail a deep blue, just like hers was.
"Hey Rainbow, how do I look?" I asked the pegasus.
She had to do a double take.
"Woah, you look like a stallion version of Vinyl! That's crazy!" She replied with a laugh.
We walked up to Vinyl, and got her attention, she nearly fainted.
"Ohcelestiaohcelestiaohcelestia! Who the hell are you?" She yelled, just then me and Rainbow burst into laughter and nearly doubled over.
My suit turned me back to normal and Vinyl calmed down a little bit.
"Not cool dudes! Not cool!" Vinyl said, obviously suppressing laughter herself.
"Relax Vinyl! I have a new recruit for ya!" Dash said.
"Oh is it this look-alike?" Vinyl asked.
"Yeah, he's the guy. He saved my life twice, and he has only been here for a day!" Rainbow said, while flailing her arms around.
"Really? Well thats impressive." Vinyl said, not really paying attention.
"Yeah! Impressive enough to let him be a bouncer for ya, right?" Rainbow continued.
"Yeah sure. So for your first job, beat the snot out of that guy." She said, pointing to a drunk that was trying to get onstage.
I almost asked why, when I decided that she had a good reason. I walked over to the drunk who was now onstage and shoved him off.
"H-haaaayyyy man dats noh cooooooll!" He slurred. "Ya wanna fight meh er somethin'? Cuz I'ma willin' ta go at it wichu!" He said, blindly punching the air in front of him.
I proceeded to sidestep all of his punches until he was worn out, by this time the entire bar was in a circle around us. While he was bending over to catch his breath I took a look around. It was definitely a lot nicer than it looked from the outside. The walls were a beep blue, almost navy. There was a bar near the front, made completely out of Everfree wood. In the back was the dance floor and a double DJ stage, also made out of Everfree wood. The DJ stands looked pitch black, behind one of them was a grey coated pony with a black mane and tail.
That must be the DJ. I thought.
I barely dodged the next hit, because it was from a different drunk, on the other side of the room. The only reason that I dodged it at all was his extremely clumsy and loud manner of attacking me. There were more people walking in from the circle, all were variously drunk. Some were almost sober, while others could barely stand. All the while during my examination of the bar's interior, a total of 20 ponies were in a fighting stance.
Oh great. Suit helmet on, project a skull on the outside and initiate battle. I thought.
The last time I had a headache, a 'flash' as Rainbow had come to call them, I learned basically an instruction manual for the suit I was wearing. I also learned its name, Echo 1-3, and how to activate the AI so we could...well...talk I guess. All I had to do was think it and the suit did it. Once my helmet was on, the HUD indicator popped up and showed all of the ponies around me at once. They were all in a shade of blue, because that is the color the holograms would have the best resolution at. The suit also injected me with large amounts of adrenaline and caffeine, so the world around me would seem slower, hence upping my reaction time.
I've got to hand it to that random knowledge, it sure is useful! I thought just before I engaged in a battle with 20 drunk ponies.
