The Queen of my heart.
Chapter 13: Travel
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was time. Me and Chrissy have been traveling in myself for about three hours until I finally felt that canada was close by. I started to slow down once I finally saw land.
“Land Ahoy!” I said to Chrissy happily.
“Why thank you, captain obvious.” Chrissy said, deadpanning.
“Your welcome!” I said enthusiastically. I love messing around with Chrissy--I was actually just trolling Chrissy for the whole trip here. At least now we are here. Actually we are not at my house yet, we are at Nova Scotia, on an island.
The only reason I couldn’t get closer to the spot I live, in canada is because all the rivers inside Canada have radars in them that could probably detect me. I did mess up on one thing though, I was aiming a bit north of Nova Scotia but I guess me navigational skills aren’t as good as I thought they would be.
“Alright we’ll be on the land in about a minute and then we have an extremely long journey to my house.” Chrissy and I both sigh at the same time. I have already briefed her on how long it’s going to take to get to my house. I am not looking forward to this…
Anyways, back to the approaching island. Before we got there however, I checked around for boats or anything. After I was satisfied I went ahead and landed on the island.
I took a deep breath in and said, “Well, at least it isn’t so bad; I was expecting a city, but whatever.” Chrissy looked at me with a bemused expression plastered on her face.
“This sure looks like a city, but it’s green.” Chrissy said and I just facepalmed. We were on an island that had forest everywhere I looked, but I knew that if we keep heading north we will hit a city or a settlement… I hope.
“Well… Onwards Chrissy! To my house!” Chrissy just sighed and nodded tiredly. Before I could go though, five soldiers stepped out of the bush and aimed their guns at me. They looked different then all the other soldiers I have ever seen though. They had a visor that covered there whole face and there suits were pitch black.
“Surrender or we will shoot.” Chrissy instantly turned invisible and walked out of the range of fire; about ten feet left. I just cracked my neck--it was actually difficult because I had to make a shell and then break it to make the cracking sound.
“Shoot.” I said, smirking a bit. The soldiers didn’t like this, I could tell and started to fire at me. I didn’t feel anything though. I just stood there waiting until they emptied their mags. While I wait I sat down and just went into a thinking pose.
‘Maybe I can just walk upto them and snap their necks one at a time. What if they try to punch me? Absorb the hand into me and snap it inside me? Maybe that could work...’ I was cut from my train of thoughts with a grenade landing next to me.
When it exploded it blew me apart, but I was still alive and I decided enough play time. I slithered towards them and rebuilt myself in front of them I couldn’t see their faces but I had a feeling it would be showing fear.
I grabbed one of the soldiers neck and snapped it. I was surprised that it was so easy now, it was almost like second nature to me. The other four soldiers probably had their mouths hanging open by now and probably are scared shitless.
I walked up to the other soldier that was beside me and took out one of his grenades and held it in my hand. “You know? Most mortals would be running away by now, don’t you think?” I asked in a cocky voice. This was way too fun to miss out on.
I pulled the pin on the grenade and they finally come to their senses and started to run. I didn’t let them though. I quickly extended my hands to the four guys and pulled them back. I pulled them in close so they could see the smirk on my face.
I pulled the grenade up and showed them. I then popped of the safety guard and said while smiling, “Goodbye” I am pretty sure they were all in tears by now. Still, I couldn’t see there faces.
The grenade exploded and killed all four of them. I, on the other hand, just stood back up and took it like it was nothing. I headed of, forward and into the forest. I knew Chrissy would probably stay invisible until I would give her the thumbs up, and she would keep following me even when she is invisible so I didn’t need to worry.
I heard a few cracking noises from beside me and turned to see that a branch was broken right beside me. I smiled where the branch is and continued on my walk through this insane forest.
Me and Chrissy continued the walk for at least a few kilometers until we got to a ‘road block’, metaphorically speaking, of course. It was actually a few hundred of those soldiers I saw back at the beach. All of them had the same black suits and had their weapons raised at me.
I just sighed in annoyance and shook my head. “Do you all really think that someone like you guys can intimidate me to surrender!?” I asked, half yelling. “The weapons that you carry on you right now are completely useless against me. If you don’t believe me, then shoot!”
At least half started to fire different caliber rounds that just passed through me. The reason I didn’t go flying back is because I found a way to let the rounds go through me without any resistance, unlike my first time someone shot me. They did, however stopped shooting at me after a minute or two.
Once the fire stopped and the smoke cleared, I still stood tall. I was done playing around with these playthings. I was going to obliterate every single soldier that stands in my way and freedom!
I started walking towards them while extending my tendrils of water at some of them.
THUD
The first ten fell.
THUD
The second pair of ten fell.
THUD
The third pair fell. By this time the other soldiers were trying to escape me while I killed more and more of them. I was starting to feel angry at them. I hated every single soldier that stood in my way for not letting me and Chrissy go.
I turned to my true crystal form and continued. I was already half way killing them and still advancing on them. Then I heard a small scream behind me…
I looked back… To see Chrissy laying on the ground with her green blood pooling around her. My heart dropped and everything stopped for a moment. I was shaking and my left eye was twitching.
There she was, the love of my life… dead. I just couldn’t believe it; I couldn’t. It was impossible, but, reality doesn’t lie. Something shattered in me and everything slowed down to a crawl. I felt nothing, no emotion or pain.
I was now just a shell filled with anger. I raised my hands towards the mini army. I noticed that my hands were now black crystals, but I didn’t care. The only thing that was on my mind was to kill every single dick that is in front of me.
I started to extend hundreds of tendrils out of my arms and began to butcher the little fuckers in front of me. I didn’t even let them have a quick death as well. I was chopping of the limbs and letting them bleed out.
By the end I was just chopping up all the soldiers that were still alive, to little bits. I then realized, I left Chrissy. I started to run back to where she was and saw that she had a hole in her chest…
I started to weep while extended my arm toward the hole and touched it. It felt cold. The worst part about all of this was that I didn’t know what to do; I didn’t have magic… WAIT! What if I put part of my actual form on the hole and tried to heal it? I wiped of the tears I have shed and started to do what I wanted to.
I first pulled the bullet out of her and then I made an identical replica of the hole and plugged it. The wound and the crystal I put in her started to glow, sticky green… The same as Chrissy’s magic!
I couldn’t believe it, is this actually going to work? The most important question was: is Chrissy going to be alright. I watched as the hole started to get really bright and almost unbearable to look at.
The light turned black and it was like I blacked out, but I didn’t though. It felt weird.
“Hello.” I called out into the black void while looking around.
“Rain! Wake up!” That sounded almost like--my eyes widened--Chrissy’s voice! It was her. She was here… Wherever here is. I started to look around and then saw a white light… Fuck the white light!
I started to run the other direction of the white light. I don’t know how long I ran but it felt like hours. Eventually though, I started to slow down and loose speed until the white light hit me…
*Gasp*
I woke up and looked around; I was still in the same forest with all the dead people around the area.
“Rain!” I heard Chrissy’s voice again and I got excited. I looked forward and saw her. Chrissy was standing in front of me smiling slightly. Her chitin though, was now made out of crystals, if you look closer. My mouth opened to speak or do anything, but it could not and simply hung open.
I reached up and cupped her right cheek while looking deep into her eyes. She is alive. I still couldn’t believe it though. One moment I remember seeing a hole in her chest and the next…? She is standing in front of me, alive and well.
Words could not describe how happy I felt. When I saw the tears that Chrissy shed though, a question popped up in my mind. What happened, when I was out?
“What happened and why are you crying?” I asked quietly. I had no idea why she was crying, but it seems to be something extreme.
“Remember when I told you, you didn’t have magic?” Chrissy asked and I nodded my head, yes. “I… Lied,” Chrissy paused; I just stared at her. She lied… To me? How could she? “I just wanted to protect you. You can heal anyone, like you did with me but, you sacrifice yourself in the process… I never told you because I wanted you to live forever.” So that’s why she held it back from me. To protect me… Wait, then how am I alive?
“So… Why am I not dead?”
“It seems my magic didn’t let you die,” Chrissy smiled softly. “I am so sorry for lying to you, I-” I cut of Chrissy with a finger, gently placed on her soft lips.
“It’s alright. I can see why you would do that for me. So, now I can heal you if you ever get a wound like that one?” I asked while pointing to the, now, crystallized chest.”And why are you all crystallized?” Don’t get me wrong, crystallized Chrissy is still the same beautiful mare I fell in love with.
I saw confusion on her face though. She looked at me strangely.
What? I pointed to her chest and hooves. I saw her look down and she reeled back, as if she never saw her new crystallized form. She almost looked like me in my actual form but black and less crystallized, kind of sexy, if you ask me.
“I-I have no idea…” Chrissy trailed off, looking at herself. Okay? So, Chrissy is now Crystallized and I was supposed to die. Sounds good to me! It’s just magic so I can’t explain shit.
I stood up and said, “Chrissy, stop questioning magic.” Chrissy looked towards my direction and just rolled her eyes with a small smirk, as if she is saying that she knew this already.
I looked around and noticed that we were beside a river of sorts. I was starting to get paranoid of these soldiers. The ones I killed earlier were all different then the ones I saw in Cuba. They had much stronger weapons and much larger numbers.
I looked back to Chrissy and said, “Chrissy, I want you to go invisible for a while and keep a safe distance away from me. I am worried that there might be more of them.” Chrissy just did a quick nod and vanished. I looked around the area a few more times until I deemed it safe to go further on.
I came across a big river that I had to cross to get to the mainland. I looked around a few more times again, just in case and then called over Chrissy.
Chrissy came from behind a tree and came up to me. “Alright, I don't see any more enemies on the other side of this river so it should be safe to cross.” Since the water was quite deep I had to make a cocoon around Chrissy to get across.
I still got this bad feeling though. I would constantly check if something was there, but of course, nothing. It was like I was hallucinating. Even if I was feeling a bit weird, I kept on going, I knew the faster I got to my house the easier it would be to get anywhere else--with my car, of course.
“Stop!” Chrissy yelled and I halted.
“What is it?” I asked curiously.
“We have company, one o'clock,” Damn. I knew something was going to happen, but sometimes I wish my gut would be wrong. “I could sense around a hundred or so from here. I have a feeling there is going to be more.”
…
Ahh. What the fuck! I don’t want to fight these kids anymore. Alright, I need a way to kill them quickly because I was getting tired of taking them out slowly. I headed to the 11 o’clock instead so I can put Chrissy in a safe spot and go give them hell.
Once I arrived I set Chrissy in a place that I knew no harm would come to her and took everything I had on me, except for three M67 grenades that I got from the other guys and started to head the armies way.
The first thing that greeted me was guns firing at me when I got to a distance that the army could see me. They hit two of the three grenades I had and completely shattered them into pieces, rendering them useless. I still continued straight though.
I finally reached their place and pulled out my grenade. I quickly scanned the area and found some guys firing mortars and had a few more in a case that was open. I threw the grenade so it landed right beside the mortars and waited for the explosion.
BOOM
It was loud, really, really lou-
BANG BANG BANG
I am pretty sure I will have ear damage after this… Anyways! The grenade set off and the mortars as well, so there was a lot of people dead by that area. I walked up until I reached the front line and grabbed one soldier by extending my arm and gripping his neck.
I brought him close and grabbed the two M67 grenades of him and snapped his neck, killing him. The next thing I did was pull the pins on both grenades and threw them in the soldiers ranks, of course the smoke covered me and no one saw the grenades coming so they landed in a place where there were quite a few guys there.
BOOM
Both grenades exploded and took out at least fifteen or more men. I run up to the front line and start hacking and chopping my way through every single black armoured dick.
One of the guys tried to cut me down with a katana and started to slash at me. My instincts kicked in--even though I knew the katana would do nothing to me-- and I side stepped and sliced his head clean off with my blade/arm.
I kept going, killing everything I saw until everyone was dead.
CRACK
I look behind me and saw something that made my mouth drop. It was a women (breast) and she stood ten… feet tall. I just couldn’t even believe this. What the hell was that thing? It had a black cloak and a pale white face. The thing that caught my eyes most was her eyes…
Her eyes were pitch black.
I tried to look away but I just couldn’t… I was stuck, unable to move; for the first time since I became an elemental I felt weak.
“Hello,” She spoke, her voice was silky smooth. ”You must be the thing that has being killing all of my men,” She said in a hateful and accusing voice. “I just wanted to be friends with you,” She paused; all I could think of was: fucking creepy. “Now though, I have to kill you, since you can't be trusted to behave yourself.”
I watched as her eyes flashed white and my vision started to blur. Before I closed my eyes and passed out I saw a green flash and then heard an explosion.
Author's Note
God dammit this took so long. I am so sorry, I have being working on a few projects for school and I have begun creating a new story. It is going to be a cross over and it will have a ship between a villain and a human (of course), but I will not be telling you more then just that. I hope you enjoy.
