Chapter 2: Friend or foe?

In a small clearing in the big forest I see something.. It was some sort of creature; it was curled up in a small ball so I couldn’t see its face. It looked like a mix of a bug and a pony with holes in its hooves, a crocked horn which looks cracked and the hooves were cracked a bit as well. It has some sort of bug wings a blue-ish, green-ish mane and tail.

When I saw it I was scared for its well-being and was surprised that this kind of weird looking creature had a horn and wings, never in my life have I seen such a cute little creature but it looked scared and lost. At that point my eyes widened when I realized this creature was not from this planet because I knew for a fact that this creature is completely knew to this world. ‘I have a great secret to hold I guess,’ I sighed while looking down at it.

I knew that I had to bring it to my home and give it a shelter to settle in for a bit if it could not return to its home world. So I picked up the cute little creature and stood a bit confused, it felt rigged, smooth and tough but it looked so soft from the outside… ‘Maybe I will find out more about it later… if it’s friendly,’ I thought as I started to slowly make my way home.

‘I swear that these trees are alive… somehow.’ I thought and then shaking the thought away. These trees just feel like they are watching me as I move through the bushes and grass.

On the way back the creature stirred a bit while it was unconscious and I saw its face, it had a cute little muzzle, small fangs, and looked sort of human in a way. The thing that worried me though, was the fangs I don’t know if it will bite me while I’m sleeping ‘let’s hope not.’

Once I got back to my small house I quickly and quietly entered my home and went strain for my bedroom. My room is nothing special just some paintings of the beach on my white wall, single bed (Queen Size) and a counter beside the bed. I gently put the creature on its side and on the bed. Then I covered it in a blanket and left the room.

I don’t know why I feel like I can trust this creature it almost feels like it can talk to me. Normally I would leave a creature out of this world – literally – alone but I had something inside of me saying that I have to help it. ‘I guess I will find out soon enough.’

I go to my kitchen and start working on a small meal before I go to bed. It takes me fifteen minutes to make some noodles and I start to eat while thinking over as to what that creature would eat ‘Maybe vegetables? Or maybe it is an omnivore?’ I don’t know what it will eat so I think it will just beg for something eventually.

I finish quickly and head for bed but before I check my clock. 10 Pm ‘Wow I spent a lot of time out on the beach,’ going to the living room I go to the couch and lie down on it ‘Maybe this creature is friendly like a dog or something… but it could be a blood thirsty monster.’ Thinking about that sent a shiver down my spine and not a pleasant one either. Soon I fell asleep from a quite adventuress day.

I wake up some time at night to some noises in my room checking the clock it said it was four in the morning ‘Of course it will wake up at night’ I sighed. I pocket a knife just in case it wants to kill me and go to my room.

I reach the door and all the shuffling stops; I hesitate for a second before slowly waking in the room. To my complete surprise the creature is still in bed sleeping; spread on its back on the bed with a little drool coming out of its mouth. ‘So I guess this really wasn't a weird dream after all.’

‘Wow this creature is so damn cute,’ it did look so peaceful while it was sleeping, and the way it’s spread out on the bed like that makes it even cuter. Then I realize what I was looking at and my cheeks turn a bright shade of red, I was looking at a creature that is fully exposed and just looks so human-like to me.

I avert my gaze, shaking my head and leave my room to let it sleep ‘I will learn more eventually… I guess,’ I sigh wanting to know more about the creature more ‘That’s what I get for having such a hunger for knowledge.’

I take a drink of some water, take of my close and head of to the couch that looks so inviting right now. When I lie down I look to the clock on the wall which says it is 4:30 am ‘ well that was a waste of 30 minutes’ sighing to himself when he realizes that he only has about three hours of sleep left.

Quickly putting a blanket over himself he got back to sleep.

When I wake up I lazily get up from the couch, go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. When I finished I put on some blue shorts and a white T-shirt before walking to the kitchen and start to make some coffee for myself.

For the time my coffee was brewing I go to my small TV and turn it on. After what seems like hours and no good shows found I decide to go and get that coffee. Turning off the TV I make my way back to the Kitchen and finish making the coffee and finally drinking it.

Then I remembered the creature that still is in my bed, quickly finishing the coffee up I pocket my small pocket knife and head for my room. Once I get to my door I ever so slowly open the door and take a look at the creature that was sitting in the bed and looking out the window. ’Hope this will end well.’

Once I am in the room fully it turns around and quickly backs away from me, it looked so scared. Then it backed away too much and fell off the bed with an audible ‘eep’ at this point I was scared too, I had no idea of the intentions of this small creature, it looked up from the other side of the bed and then it did something that petrified me and made my eyes go wide to the point where they looked like plates… it s-spoke!

“Don’t come near me y-you… thing!” It sounded scared but I didn’t pay attention I was still standing in the same spot completely frozen from fear. I had no idea as to what I should do so I just assumed I have literally lost my mind and started to laugh, though, I was still shocked, I built up enough courage to say something.

“I. have… gone completely insane!” I said while shaking my head and walking out the door -before it could say anything - to my bathroom to take a shower.

Once I got in the shower my eyes still as wide as can be I took of my cloth and got in then I remember something… ‘It spoke, it really did… or have I just lost my mind,’ I thought still shaking from hearing its voice. It sounded a bit demonic in a way that made nightmares seem like a day at the beach.

I exited my shower and dried myself still shaking from so much fear. I went back to my room to check if it was just a dream and went inside... Still standing there the creature looked at me with wide eyes to match up with my extremely wide eyes.

“Uh,”
“Uh,”

We both said at the same time still looking at each other frozen in place. ”I h-have a que-“I was cut off by it.

“You speak!” it said… happily? All of its fear leaving, and mine Still in the same spot.

“What the fuck are you!?” I said in a louder voice than usual. Now I know this creature is from another world but it didn’t seem to fear me… maybe I’m it’s pray? And it wants to eat me? I put my hand in my pocket and grab my knife just in case it wants to do something funny.

“I am queen Chrysalis, queen of the changelings.” Chrysalis said with pride in her voice and a puffed out chest. She quickly lowered her head for some reason. ‘Maybe something bad happened?’ She seemed so confident at first but now looked sad.

“A-are y-you going to hurt m-me?” I ask still showing my fear. I guess she saw my fear and quickly replayed in a sweeter voice.

“No, no, no, no. I think I just came from a different world,” she seemed to deflate at the mention of her world “and I am too tired to do anything right now,” That lifted some tension I stored up and I felt more at ease now. “I see that I am not at the forest any more but a bedroom, did you take me hear?” Chrysalis said.

“Yes I did you looked hurt when I saw you, so I carried you here and put you in my bed,” I guess she is friendly after all and her cheeks became a bit green when I said I carried her here; maybe she’s blushing? I shook my head and said “I am sorry, where are my manners, I am Rain Litt and I am still on vacation right now. I guess this vacation just got weird” I muttered that last part so she could not hear it.

“I’m sorry to intrude Rain Litt, but what are you?” Chrysalis said in a sad tone that I quickly noticed and tried cheering her up.

“It’s perfectly fine; I did take you in after all. I am a human who populate most of this planet but we are right now in an area most people don’t go to very often,” that seemed to make her perk up a bit and smile at me.

“So… um, are ‘humans’ dangerous?” Chrysalis said tilting her head and raising a brow at me.

“Do you find me dangerous?” I say a bit playfully finally losing all my fear of her and trying to make small talk with this ‘changeling’ as she called herself.

She noticed this and laughed, “So far I don’t find you dangerous, you did save my life after all,” chrysalis said moving slowly towards me and stopped just a few steps from me and looked up at me. “Wow you are tall.” she looked at me with a kind of dreamy expression on her muzzle but I didn’t pay much mind to it.

“Yes I am,” I say with a smile on my face talking to her really puts me at ease. We talked like this for a few hours. Turns out she was banished from a place called ‘Equestria’ for trying to feed off of other peo-er-ponies love for each other until she went a bit too far and ruined a royal wedding to try and take over ‘Equestria’. She tells me there are ponies that have a horn and wings which are called alicorns and there are normal ponies with no horn or wings while others could have either a horn or wings. Chrysalis tells me that there are two tyrant rulers to this land and she should be rightful ruler instead of them. ’She doesn’t seem bad maybe these rulers are actually that bad?’ I thought to myself as she described them and how they rule. Chrysalis also tells me that there are other sentient races like Dragons, Manticorns, Hydras, and all sorts of other creatures that were from legends in my world and did not exist.

Well after this chapter drama will come. I hope you enjoy this and I will have the next chapter(s) maybe in 2-4 days depending on how my school exams go.
