Chapter 1-New rival and target.
A young, orange filly named Scootaloo began to anxiously tap her hooves against the hard wood desk, causing a loud disruption throughout her class.
"Scootaloo." A well-known voice said to her, kindly.
"Yeah." Replied the orange filly, becoming more lost in her thoughts.
"Scootaloo. Please stop tapping your desk! It's interrupting the lesson."
'Hmm.' She snapped back in to reality. "Oh! Sorry." She began to flush a deep shade of red as giggles filled the entire classroom.
Cheerilee sighed deeply, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Alright class!" Cheerilee shouted. "Lets get back to work."
The lesson began and everybody's attention returned to the teacher.
Scootaloo sunk deeper and deeper in to her chair, hoping no pony would notice her for the rest of the day. The school bell had finally rang from what had seemed like eternity. The Pegasus' couldn't have been more than glad to leave, she didn't want anything else embarrassing to happen. She ran outdoors and fetched her scooter, her helmet on and secure. She hit the ground, pushing hard as she began to gain speed. Scootaloo went straight to Ponyville's peaceful mountains to clear her mind.
Under the shade of a large cherry tree, Scootaloo felt at ease. She relaxed her body and lay flat against the grassy ground. The aroma of sweet smelling daisies and roses filled her nose. A shadow twice her size came in to view, she opened her eyes with a groan. A bright colored Pegasus was standing in front of her with a big toothy grin.
"Hey squirt." The cyan-colored pony smiled. "School's done?"
"Yep." She nodded cheerfully.
"Great! So want to hang out. Just the both of us." Rainbow dash suggested.
"Sure! Oh wait I forgot. Cheerilee assigned a project for us to do." Scootaloo said scratching the back of her head.
"Over the weekend?" Rainbow dash asked, her right eyebrow raising in confusion.
"Hey! Rainbow dash!" Her partner was calling her from a distance. "Your training isn't complete yet today!"
"Darn!" Muttered Rainbow dash annoyingly. "Well, I guess we always have tomorrow. Good luck with that project of yours." She yelled waving goodbye.
Scootaloo waved goodbye to her idol and returned her attention to the cloudy sky. Rain was beginning to pour down and the tree was doing a poor job at keeping her dry.She got up and hoped on her Scooter and kicked the ground harshly. She was slowing down because of a few rain puddles and mud.
She was zooming through town trying to get home as quickly as possible. When she heard somebody screaming at her. "Huh." She turned around and saw The Carrousel Boutique. Sweetie belle was standing at the door signaling Scootaloo to come in. She nodded and ran towards her friend, Sweetie belle shut the door and Scootaloo fell on the floor panting.
"Are you alright?" Sweetie belle asked. "You didn't catch a cold did you?"
"No. I'm fine." She replied.
"Phew! That's a relief!" Sweetie belle said with a grin. "SO while you're here want to work on the class project together."
Scootaloo nodded, it wasn't the best way to pass the time, but at least she wouldn't have to deal with it any more.
The two fillies began making clay models of what they thought the 'Old Equestria' looked like one thousand years ago. If anything was even around.
Sweetie belle build a clay model of some Earth ponies. Some wore very raggedy clothing made from random pieces of cloth that were being held together by only a few pieces of loose string. She was starting on making the environment. She made the clean rivers, healthy animals that produced products for daily use, and a few crops and trees.
Scootaloo wasn't nearly as creative, but she did have a pretty good idea from the 'Hearts Warmings Eves' play she and the Crusaders saw some time ago. She made clay figurings with three different clans sharing Equestria. The Pegasus clan with armor and shields were standing proudly on a cloud fortress creating thunder storms and different kinds of weather. Towards the South she had the Unicorn clan they wore robes and performed magic and traded among themselves. Down at the North was the Earth ponies, they were having a feast eating ripe apples, grapes, pears, and oranges. They also ate crops such as corn and vegetables that were successfully grown thanks to the Pegasi's whether.
She yawned and examined her work with tired eyes. "It's getting pretty late." Scootaloo said to Sweetie belle, who was putting her finishing touches on her master piece. "I think I should get going."
"Can't you sleepover?" Sweetie belle begged with large puppy dog eyes.
"My parents are going to be worried sick if I don't get back."
"Yeah. You're right." Sweetie belle said with a nod.
"Say hi to Rarity for me."
"I will!" Sweetie belle said with a smile.
The new routine took a while to get the hang of, but Rainbow dash had somehow manage to pull through. Even if her partner Soarin' was getting on her nerves. Now that her training was complete she could go home and rest up for tomorrow. "It's getting pretty dark." She said squinting her eyes so that they could properly adjust to the darkness of the town. "The rain was pouring crazy. But Soarin' didn't even stop, he's lucky he didn't damage his wings!" Her anger boiled over, but the scenery of the town seemed to calm her down.
"I'm just hoping Scootaloo isn't going home all alone at this hour. No way! She's probably just hanging with her friends." Rainbow dash said aloud. Is Scootaloo really alright? She needed to check up on her quick!
"Walking home alone at night. Pretty spooky if you ask me." Scootaloo whispered to herself smiling. "But I'm pretty tough. Just like Rainbow dash."
Huh?
Some loud footsteps were slowly approaching her from behind, turning around she noticed a Pegasus following her. She assumed it must have been Rainbow dash. "So sorry we couldn't hang out today Rainbow dash. I was a little busy with school work," Scootaloo turned around looking sympathetically at the pony, who only shuttered in reaction.
Huh? That was weird. "Rainbow dash are you alr-"
Before she could finish her question, the Pegasus had her hoof on Scootaloo's mouth and her other one wrapped tightly around her waist. "You must have some special bond with Rainbow dash." The foalnapper whispered into her ear, sending chills down her spine.
-
"Scootaloo!!" Yelled Rainbow dash. "Huh?"
Oh no! She saw a stranger holding Scootaloo. She was struggling to escape and was using all of her strength to pound the older pony. Rainbow dash came charging towards her, giving her jaw bone a nice hard kick, almost enough to break it. Unfortunately, she had survived the attack. Scootaloo fell to the ground, the hard impact against the ground harshly wounded her right wing.
"Hey. Scootaloo. Are you alright?" Asked Rainbow dash.
"Yeah. I think so." She said rubbing her wing. "But I think I injured my wing when I f-"
The pegasus came back real hard, punching Dash in her stomach, the blow catching her off guard. Rainbow dash laughed it off, but anybody could tell she was in horrible pain right now. Rainbow dash quickly got and pounded the Pegasus with all her strength.
"Hehe..." coughed the beaten Pegasus. "You're still the same. Still think you're better than me?" She said insultingly.
"Huh? Excuse me, but do I even know you?" Asked Rainbow dash raising her left brow.
"I guess even you can forget a face, but you can't forget a name. It's me. Lightning dust."
Memories, both good and bad returned, the quick memory gave her a headache. Rainbow dash fell on her knees, holding her head with her forehooves, grunting in pain. Lightning looked the same as she always did, only now she had scars and bruises. "You may have won this battle, but mark my words Dash. You have weak spot for that filly and just like you took something important from me, I intend on doing the same to you." She said walking backwards into the shadows.
For a moment there was a long pause and no one said anything...
"I was really scared." mumbled Scootaloo. Rainbow dash wrapped a reassuring wing around the filly.
"Will she come back?" Scootaloo asked Rainbow dash.
"I have no idea, but don't you worry about anything! I'll make sure she doesn't come back!" She smiled bravely.
The door to the library flew open. "What the BUCK is going on?" Twilight shouted out. Rainbow dash quickly covered Scootaloo's ears, the last thing Rainbow dash needed was Scootaloo's teacher telling her about some new choices of vocabulary.
"What happened to your face!" Twilight shrieked pointing at the bruises and cuts Lightning dust had left behind.
"Me and a Pegasus got in a fight." She said honestly.
"Oh. Well, ok then." Twilight said rolling her eyes.
"Look, Twilight. Scootaloo was attacked by a Pegasus." Rainbow dash said.
Twilight nodded. "Do you know what she looks like?"
"Yeah." Rainbow dash said, nodding.
"Really! Great that could come in handy! SO what's she look like?" Said Twilight grabbing a pad of paper and a feather pen.
"It's Lightning dust."
Her pad of paper and feather pen fell out of her levitational grasp and she started to ponder quietly to herself. After a long discussion later Twilight and Rainbow dash decided that Scootaloo would be staying with Twilight for the time being, until things were settle with Lightning dust. Rainbow dash gave Scootaloo a big hug before Twilight locked up. Rainbow dash ruffled Scootaloo's messy mane and smiled. "Don't worry as soon as I find Lightning dust everything will go back to normal."
"You promise." Scootaloo asked.
"Um hmm." Rainbow dash said embracing the little filly. "Yeah. I promise."
Revenge is all that's left.
Chapter 2- Scootaloo's average day.
Chapter 2- Scootaloo's average day.
"Scootaloo." Bellowed an unfamiliar voice.
"Hello." Scootaloo answered searching for the voice that called her name, only to find she was surrounded by nothing, but darkness.
Suddenly a mare came in Scootaloo's view, she focused her eyes and saw she had a greenish-color coat and golden hair. She was fighting with Rainbow dash. They both punched and kicked each other until one fell over begging for mercy.
Scootaloo looked up in complete utter shock, Rainbow dash was pinned to the ground and struggled to get back on her hooves. The Pegasus laughed at Rainbow dash who gave in instantly when she realized there was nothing she could do.
Was Rainbow dash loosing? Was good going to wind up being defeated by evil after all? Was all of this... real?
'No! It couldn't be.' Scootaloo forced herself to believe none of this was real. 'It is all just some bad dream. Yes! It's just a dream..'
-
Morning slowly crept by, signaling the start of the day. Scootaloo, still sleeping was tossing and turning, both screaming and crying as well. For the past three days Scootaloo would have horrifying nightmares, things she had feared would come true. She woke up and rubbed the tiredness from her eyes and stretched out her sore limbs.
Her throat was parched from all the yelling and sobbing she did all night so she went in to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of refreshing water. The filly had quickly stared off into space, not taking notice that her drink was over filling.
"Scootaloo what are you doing?" Asked a confused and sleepy Twilight.
'Huh.'
Scootaloo blinked then realized what she had been doing. 'Oh shoot!' Scootaloo tried grabbing the water, but couldn't and the clear liquid fell through her hooves.
She closed the sink faucet, but it was too late to correct her error. Twilight searched her drawers and grabbed an old rag and began to mop up the spill. Scootaloo volunteered to clean it up, since she had caused it in the first place. But Twilight said it was only a minor mistake and she could clean it easily herself. "You probably should get ready for school about now." Twilight smiled.
"Oh yeah!" Scootaloo shouted running upstairs.
-
Scootaloo returned with her scooter and shouted. "Ready!" She put her helmet on her head and raced for the door.
"Hold on Scootaloo." Said Twilight handing the filly her backpack. Scootaloo nodded and gave her a quick salute before leaving.
The wind in her short mane felt great. She hadn't been outside since Friday, which was nearly three days since then. She couldn't be happier to be outside of the hot and streamy library. Scootaloo stopped within five feet of her school. She inhaled the warm spring air then scooted towards her friends, Applebloom and Sweetie belle, who were already waving towards her.
"Hiya Scootaloo." Greeted the adorable Sweetie belle.
"Hey guys." Scootaloo smiled as she caught up with the two ponies.
"How was your weekend?" Asked Applebloom.
"Well ya know-"
"I haven't seen you since Friday! And you left your project at my place." Interrupted Sweetie belle.
"You two hung out without tellin' me." Applebloom said with a frown.
"Well... we were just doing school work." Scootaloo answered, but before Applebloom could object the school bell rung.
"Oh poo!" Sweetie belle said pouting.
"See ya girls after class?" Applebloom asked, her cheerfulness returned.
Sweetie belle nodded, Scootaloo shrugged. "Sure."
They went inside and found their seats. Sweetie belle handed Scootaloo her project and Scootaloo couldn't help, but thank her multiple times as she turned in her assignment along with her good friend, Applebloom.
-
School dragged on for at least another five hours...
Scootaloo raced to her locker, where her beloved scooter was stored for safekeeping.
"Scootaloo!" Screamed Applebloom coming straight to the locker room.
She was walking over to her friend, but was stopped by two colts a year older than she was.
"Can I help you?" She asked as nicely as possible. "I need to get to my friend!"
"Hey! Let go of me!" Scootaloo shouted as the two colts lifted her. Scootaloo's helmet fell off her head and landed on the ground, bouncing a few feet and landing in front of Applebloom. She lifted the hemet and looked around. "Scootaloo!"
-
"Hi-"
"Sweetie belle." Applebloom screamed running towards the filly.
"Where's Scootaloo? And why are you holding her helmet?"
"That's just it. I don't know." Applebloom answered. "We've gotta save Scootaloo."
"Umm hmm." Sweetie belled nodded in agreement.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS RESCUERS! AWW."
They both frowned as the looked at each other, it wasn't the same without their tomboyish friend. They wanted her back.
"Well, well, well if it isn't the two little blank blanks!" Taunted a familiar, annoying voice, that belonged to none other than their arch enemy, Diamond Tiara.
"Where's Scootaloo!" Demanded Sweetie belle.
"Haha!" Diamond Tiara laughed. "The flightless orange one?"
"Her wings aren't the right size yet!" Screamed Sweetie bell defending her friend's pride.
"I don't care why she can't fly! You'll never see her again! Muah haha!" She laughed with a wicked grin.
Applebloom began shouting at Diamond Tiara as well. "What have ya done to our friend!"
"Nothing yet..." She said walking away, grinning.
"Hey come back here!" Screamed Sweetie belle reaching for Diamond, but only grabbed air.
"Goodbye." She giggled as she walked away, soon joined by Silver spoon.
"Plan to save Scootaloo is a go!" They said hidding in bushes following them.
-
"Daddy! I'm home!" Shouted Diamond Tiara, slamming the front door. Soon greeted by her father, Filthy Rich.
"Welcome home! There are snacks in the kitchen." He said hugging his daughter.
"Do you have the rope and duck tape I asked for, Daddy?" Asked Diamond Tiara, a smile appearing upon her face.
-
"Whater they sayin'!"
"Hold on Applebloom!"
"Letme see!" Said Applebloom snatching Sweetie belle's binoculars.
"No! They're mine!"
The two fought for the binoculars, and ended up dropping them from the tree they were hiding in.
"Nice going Sweetie belle!" Said Applebloom rolling her eyes. "Celestia only knows what horrible things might be happenin' to Scootaloo right now."
"Applebloom. Next time don't take things!"
"It's 'not my fault!" She replied stubbornly.
-
Scootaloo was in a very cold and PINK place. "Argh.. my head!" Scootaloo's fore hoof was going to soothe her aching head, but something held it down.
"What the hay is going on." She asked herself. She was tied up by some loose string and yarn in a glittery clubhouse. She had a pretty good idea who it might have belonged to....
"How did I get here and why am I tied up?!" Scootaloo looked out an open window. It was a tree house! And there was a really nice looking house in the distance! Is that Diamond Tiara! 'My enemy has resorted to foalnapping!' She screamed to herself, but stayed quiet so she didn't cause a scene.
"Thanks Daddy!" Said Diamond as she held the tape and rope in her mouth. Scootaloo continued to watch, mouth agape.
Silver spoon followed her best friend thanking Filthy Rich as well. "You girls have fun with your little arts and craft project!" He replied walking back inside.
"Don't worry daddy! We'll have lot of fun with this one." Smiled Diamond Tiara.
Scootaloo panicked what did they mean by 'Arts and craft project'? She was just hoping this was all some big misunderstanding and she could leave, but right now wasn't the time for escape.
-
The two fillies climbed down the tree they were spying on Diamond Tiara from and picked up Sweetie belle's binoculars. Sweetie belle shot Applebloom a glar, who just ignored Sweetie belle acting like nothing had happened.
"Look!" She shouted. "It's Diamond Tiara! I just know she's done somethin' terrible ta Scootaloo."
Sweetie belle's anger had vanished as she nodded in agreement. "I think it's time we go and investigate."
"Good idea!"
The Cutie mark crusaders snuck around the backyard sneakily. Sweetie belle tripped over a stick and tumbled down a mountain. The other filly had to chase after her falling pal.
-
Scootaloo heard the voices come nearer. She panicked trying to free herself. 'Come on! you gotta be joking.' Scootaloo yelled to herself. 'This is just string and glitter. Then why's it so hard to get off.'
Her eyes were squeezed shut and her teeth clenched tightly. She struggled against the strings then she suddenly heard laughter. Her eyes flew open and she saw Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon looking at their struggling prisoner. "Hey!" Scootaloo interrupted.
Diamond Tiara dropped her teacup and looked at the panicked filly. "Let me out!" Complained Scootaloo, feeling her wing being strapped down tightly against the string.
They both whispered to each other, Diamond Tiara interrupted the silence. "For now you're our prisoner. Got it?"
"I'd love to play.... whatever with you, but you should know I already have plans for today."
"You're not volunteering to be our slave. We're forcing you!"
"WHY?!" Scootaloo had a confused look on her face.
"Well you and the Cutie mark crusaders are our arch enemies." Said Silver spoon adjusting her glasses.
'Oh! Please! Tell me something I didn't already know!' Scootaloo thought to herself.
"And you're the leader of the group." Added Diamond Tiara with a smirk.
Scootaloo gulped, she didn't like where this was going.
"Now hold on the leader's actually-"
But before Scootaloo finished her sentence Diamond Tiara covered her mouth with duck tape.
"Mrfff phff!"
"Sorry. You were beginning to bore me." laughed Diamond. "But now you can't argue with me."
Scootaloo got angry and began to bat her wings. One flew upwards, the string releasing the grip on the filly's wings. Then the second one came up as well. She flapped her wings zooming towards the exit, then was stopped by a pencil. "Oh no you don't!" Diamond Tiara shouted.
Scootaloo tripped over the pencil landing in front of an angered Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon.
"Hehehe!" Laughed Scootaloo as the strings fell off her back, the tape long gone.
-
"Thanks 'alot Sweetie belle. Now how are we gonna be able ta stop them."
"We could confront them." Suggested Sweetie belle.
They heard a loud bang. Knowing Scootaloo's they immediately recognized their friend. The falling was followed by a few screams. Then became chuckles that Scootaloo usually made when she did something bad.
"Hey! NO AHH!"
The two fillies shot themselves looks. 'Oh no! They're torturing Scootaloo.' They screamed to one another.
-
"Please stop!' Begged Scootaloo. "AHhh!"
The filles laughed at the tough pegasus' reaction, they continued torturing her. Enjoying Scootaloo's reaction every minute.
"Please no! Blah! Gah!" Scootaloo shrieked. "Stop! This isn't funny!"
-
Applebloom and Sweetie belle had heard enough and came rushing in.
"WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE!" Applebloom shouted, becoming the center of every pony's attention.
She and Sweetie belle saw Scootaloo on the floor already in tears. They both grew furious at the foalnapping fillies.
Silence hit all of them until Scootaloo spoke. "I am just-"
"What have y'all been doing ta Scootaloo?" Applebloom shouted glaring her teeth.
"Weelll." Silver spoon and Diamond Tiara giggled remembering.
"It's just that.... we... were tickling Scootaloo." Diamond Tiara said with a look of disgust.
"Why?" Sweetie belle said turning her head in confusing.
"Her reactions are super hilarious! That's why!" Said Silver spoon with a giggle.
Scootaloo bagan blushing as she had remembered what had revealed her ticklishness to her enemies.
Scootaloo looked up chuckling at Diamond after she had tripped over a fallen pencil. One of her fallen feathers landed on the Pegasus' chest causing her to jump up in the air screaming. Diamond Tiara smiled widely as she plucked a feather from Scootaloo's back. Causing her to shriek in reaction. Then Silver spoon held Scootaloo down as Diamond Tiara tickled her. Then Applebloom and Sweetie belle stormed in... relieving Scootaloo.... stopping the tickle war...
"Uh.." Began Applebloom, not sure how to react. "Wellll... don't foalnap Scootaloo again. 'Ya hear!" Applebloom showed her hoof threatening to punch Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon.
They both rolled their eyes. "Phff, whatever! Not like you scare us Applebloom."
Applebloom growled at the fillies as Sweetie belle dragged Scootaloo out of the clubhouse along with Applebloom.
Scootaloo began whimpering softly, her friends notice.
"What happened in there?" Sweetie belle asked.
Scootaloo shook her head. "Nothing." She preferred to forget the whole incident even if it was just for twenty minutes. She began to remember her nightmare and how Rainbow dash had lost..
The girls walked their friend home, not wanting to risk her safety again.
"Common I can walk myself home!" Complained Scootaloo.
"But you're the youngest out of the three of us." Said Applebloom.
"And the class!" Added Sweetiebelle.
"You guys know that's not true! I'm older than Sweetie belle!" Complained Scootaloo in anger.
"Nu uh!" Sweetie belle said in childish tone.
"Yeah. Anyways. Don't want ta risk ya gettin' caught by some stranger again." Said Applebloom reassuring. "Anyways... walking in a group is safer than walking alone."
They both waved goodbye before parting their separate ways and Scootaloo walked the last few feet to the library. Somebody was already standing at the door of the library grinning at her.
Revenge is all that's left.
Chapter 3- Lightning Strikes again!
Chapter 3-Lightning Strikes again!
The pony stood confidently at the foot of the library and continued to grin widely at the young Pegasus filly. Scootaloo just stood there with anxiety, petrified by the older pony's reaction.
"Hey kid, you. Scootaloo was it." The pony called out to her, smiling widely. "What are you doing out at this hour?" Questioned the mare, disregarding Scootaloo's perplexed expression.
Scootaloo gazed up at her still in a state of shock. "Who is this pony?" Scootaloo thought silently, returning her attention to the pony that knew her name. "Um... getting home..." Scootaloo replied carefully backing away, never loosing eye contact with the mare.
"It's a beautiful moon, eh?" The mare said as she stole a quick glance of the moon with a thoughtful smile. "Kinda reminds me of my foal hood." Scootaloo nodded in agreement, sighing delightedfully at the beautiful moon of Princess Luna.
Luna had outdone herself with the moon tonight. The moon shined brightly against the darkened shadowy night campus, companied by a few small twinkling stars that stood out far in the distance. The lovely serene relaxed the orange filly, she breathed deeply and responded with a small nod. 'Yeah.'
"Are you just going to stand there all night!" The mare snapped in a demanding tone, cutting Scootaloo's train of thought.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Scootaloo asked, backing away staring up at the mare with horrified eyes.
"Come here!" The mare suddenly charged towards Scootaloo, leaping into the air only a few feet above her.
Scootaloo gasped in confusion as the flying pony dove towards her with her hooves outstretched in her direction.
"SCOOTALOO!" A voice shriek in the distance, followed by loud galloping. She knew this voice, it was Rainbow dash.
"Rainbow dash? Is that you?" The filly asked, nearly breaking into tears.
"SQUIRT! NOOOO!" She ran faster, nearing the filly.
"Rainbow dash... I'm scared..." Scootaloo said in a quiet whisper trying to run, but tripped over a tree stump.
"SCOOTALOO! NO!" Rainbow dash shrieked loudly running towards her.
She felt somepony lift her from the ground, holding her tightly. Someone she didn't know well, someone she didn't feel safe around. She felt her body stiffen as her brain reacted on it's own and suddenly, she began pushing the pony away from her.
"Stop it you brat! I'm not going to let someone as small and defenseless as you let this opportunity slip away." The mare punched the filly on the side of her head to silence her. Blood trickled down from Scootaloo's forehead and she groaned loudly.
"Stop!! Put her down!" The voice neared and a hard impact collided with the mare's back.
The mare turned around and hissed at Rainbow dash. "Go away nerd!" She shouted with an angry glare and flew away faster, making sure not to drop the filly that was laying softly in her arms.
"Lightning dust!" Rainbow dash charged in her direction and caught up in no time.
"Oh no you don't!" Lightning dust said looking behind her back, in Rainbow dash's direction. "I've waited too long for this!"
She raised her hindlegs and gave Rainbow dash a nice hard kick square in her face. Lightning stopped and levitated slightly and turned around to make sure Rainbow dash fell to the ground.
"Um hmm!" She nodded, laughing evilly.
"Y-You big jerk!" A voice screamed, sobbing.
Lightning dust turned her head to the direction of the voice.
"So what!" Demanded Lightning dust. "She's gotten what she deserved!"
"Y-You-"
Scootaloo's eyes went wide quickly, then slowly closed. "Y-You can't... you w-won't get away... with this..." The filly calmed down and soon fell asleep. Lightning dust removed the small white cloth from the filly's muzzle and flew down to the ground.
She landed beside Rainbow dash who was laying on the ground groaning loudly, still recovering. "Y-You b-"
A cloth was placed on Rainbow dash's muzzle, she tried crawling to Lightning dust's hooves and looked up at Scootaloo with kind eyes. "Scootaloo..." She reached up with a forehoof and stroked her mane slightly, but soon her eyes closed and her body collapsed underneath her.
"Sorry dashie!" She said teasingly and turned around, her back facing Rainbow dash.
Rainbow dash's eyes opened once more and she removed the cloth away from her muzzle. She tried getting back up on her hooves, but collapsed on to the dirt road.
"Don't worry I'll take good care of her!" Lightning dust snickered and saluted Rainbow dash as she flew off.
"Squirt..." Rainbow dash flapped her wings desperately and tried flying after Lightning dust, but was too sore to even fly, she crashed against the dirt road with a loud 'THUD'
Scootaloo's blinked her eyes open she looked up at Lightning dust, her head shaking furiously. "Dash!!"
"Scootaloo?" Rainbow dash peeked her head up and saw Scootaloo had waken up.
"Shut up!" Lighting dust punched Scootaloo and she whimpered lightly, enduring the pain in her right shoulder.
Rainbow dash got on her hooves and walked slowly over to them. Taking small baby-steps, being careful as to not trip and fall.
"Rainbow dash!" Scootaloo pulled away from Lightning and escaped her grip. Scootaloo suddendly began falling to the ground very quickly... nearing death.
"Scootaloo!" Rainbow dash shrieked moving quicker.
Lightning dust was about to fly after the filly, but stopped as a mischievous grin plastered on her face. "Actually... I'd like to see how this plays out.."
Scootaloo shut her eyes tightly and bit her lip, awaiting her faith....
Soon she stop falling and felt someone's arms around her tightly hugging her.
"Am I... dead?" Scootaloo opened her eyes and looked up into her rescuer's eyes. Their features were too blurred to make out and Scootaloo passed out, everything soon becoming black...
Revenge is all that's left.
Chapter 4- Attack!
"Rainbow dash?" The orange filly slowly blinked her eyes open. "Rainbow dash!?" She sat up in the hospital bed, looking around panicky.
"Easy squirt. It was all just some bad dream." A cyan hoof softly stroked Scootaloo's mane.
"Rainbow dash!!" A few tears trickled down the Pegasus' face. She tightly wrapped her forelegs around Dash's neck. "I am so glad you're okay!"
"I was more worried about you Scootaloo." Rainbow dash wrapped her forelegs around the filly's small frame. "I had no idea what I would have done if you didn't open your eyes."
"I wonder what your mom is gonna say when-"
"SCOOTALOO! Oh my poor foal you're not hurt now are you!" A orange mare with an aqua blue mane, passed by Rainbow dash, stroking Scootaloo's mane.
"I'm fine mom..." Scootaloo muttered, pushing her mother's hoof away. "It was just a scratch..."
"This isn't just a scratch Scootaloo! That's it! I'm taking your scooter away. And you aren't allowed to hang out with the crusaders!"
Scootaloo's eyes widened. "But they weren't involved mom!"
"No! I don't want to hear it! Those two are just a bad example!"
"That's not true! If anything I'm the bad example! Sweetie belle and Applebloom are great friends! "
"Look miss. It isn't Scootaloo's fault and the issue isn't her friends either!"
"Rainbow dash! No! What are you doing!" Scootaloo screamed raising her voice.
"So you're the Rainbow dash... Scootaloo's been talking about you alot. SO miss Dash who's fault is then.If it's not Scootaloo's fault, nor her friends."
"It's all my fault. Scootaloo wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for me."
"No! That's not true! None of it is! Rainbow dash is lying!" Scootaloo shouted, but was quieted by her mother's hoof.
"That's it! You! You stay away from my daughter! And if I ever see you near her again I'll contact the authorities!"
"MOM NO!"
"Scootaloo it's alright. It's better off this way..." Rainbow dash hung her head low, walking sadly to the exit. "You're safer this way..."
"Rainbow dash!!" Scootaloo shouted.
Rainbow dash closed the door behind her, shaking her head. "I screwed up, so badly... I'll make it up to you Scootaloo, somehow..."
Rainbow dash flew out of the hospital, the haunting shrieks and cries of Scootaloo filled her head, she tried shaking them out of her head, but was unable to.
Rainbow dash flew up to her cloud structure and unlocked the door with the spare key she had stored underneath her mat.
Rainbow dash closed the door softly behind her, a tear trickled down her cheek and suddenly she felt a harsh push. "Argh..." She moaned and opened her eyes, recovering. "Lightning dust! What-"
"Be quiet stupid!" The mare covered Rainbow dash's mouth with a hoof.
"Mrff phff." Rainbow dash clenched her eyes tightly, trying to stand up, but was still recovering from her injuries...
"Hey you actually found her! That was faster than I thought!" A familiar voice commented.
"Ya. What'd I tell ya. She really does care more about that dumb filly than she does her own well being!" Lightning dust responded with a small chuckle.
'NO! It's not! She's back! It can't be...' Dash opened her eyes with a struggle and tilted her head back swiftly. "Gilda!?" She manage to say with Lightning dust's hoof still resting on her mouth.
"Miss me Dash!" The griffin responded with a smirk. A fist hit the cyan colored mare in between her eyes and everything soon became dark...
"Have any of y'all seen that rainbow-maned Pegasus anywhere?" The orange country mare asked with a nod, searching around the group that sat in a circle in Twilight's library.
"No. Sorry darling, Applejack. She might still be somewhere at the academy training." The pearl colored Unicorn responded with a smile.
"I don't know Rarity! Today my pinkie senses were acting up! And they sense DANGER!" A pink pony started jumping up and down, shaking her tail furiously.
"Pinkie pie are you sure?" A lavender Unicorn asked with a confused, yet concerned look.
"Of course Twilight! My pinkie sense are NEVER wrong!" Pinkie pie responded with a large toothy smile. "Oh what if dashie's hurt!" Pinkie pie shouted, her smile fading away.
"Um... girls.."
The four mares turned their attention to the cowering Pegasus. "I thought she said she was going to visit Scootaloo in the hospital..." Fluttershy responded with a soft whisper, hiding shyly behind her long flowing pink mane.
"Just in case, you should go to the academy Fluttershy. Since you are a Pegasus." Applejack said, nodding at the frightened Pegasus mare.
"Twilight, you go to the hospital to see if she's visiting Scoot." Applejack looked at Twilight, who nodded.
"I'll search town Applejack!!" Pinkie pie grinned. "I know everypony so it should be easy!" Applejack nodded in agreement and looked at Rarity.
"Don't worry darling. I'll stay here to see if she stops by." Rarity said with a movement of her hoof.
"Ah guess I'll stop by her house..." Applejack said, tipping her hat.
"Great idea Applejack! Would you like me to perform the cloud-walking spell, so you can have the ability to walk on clouds?" Twilight said with a grin as she clapped her forehooves together in excitement.
Applejack nodded. Twilight pointed her horn at the Earth pony and Twilight's magic soon surrounded her in a light warm, bright aura. Her body glowed faintly and Twilight nodded, whipping a drop of sweat from her forehead with a forehoof.
"Okay. If one of us finds her meet back here in thirty minutes or less." They all nodded to eachother and trotted out the library. Fluttershy was the last to walk out, she looked up at Cloudsdale with a frightened look. "Oh...my..."
Revenge is all that's left.
Scootaloo slammed the front door shut and trotted up the stairs furiously. The orange colored mare ascended the flight of stairs, chasing after the young Pegasus.
"Scootaloo!" She shouted, running down the hallways after the angry filly. "I'm sorry you are upset, but this is no way to behave young lady!"
Scootaloo stopped and glanced back at the Pegasus, glaring angrily at her. "I'm not upset, I'm just really mad. How could you do that! After all Rainbow dash has done for me..." Scootaloo entered the first bedroom, and softly closed the door behind her.
"Scootaloo. Please come out sweetie. I promise things are going to get better."
"Yeah right..." Scootaloo mumbled flipping through a comic book that sat comfortably in her lap.
There was a ring at the door. The pacing outside her bedroom stopped and Scootaloo looked up from her comic curiously.
"Oh! Somepony's at the door." She could hear soft walking, and soon she was gone.
"Why... why... d-did this happen t-to me?" Scootaloo looked at her comic, shaking her head as tears crashed against the colorful pages.
"Rainbow dash. Why. W-Why did you b-blame yourself?" Scootaloo asked looking at a photo sitting on her wardrobe.
She got up and trotted to it. She lifted the photo and looked at it with tear-filled eyes. "Rainbow dash.." The photo had the orange Pegasus with her idol, Rainbow dash. They both of them were hugging smiling happily at each other, Scootaloo looking happier than ever. Scootaloo remembered the day this picture was taken, it was the day Scootaloo had turned nine, the day she first met Rainbow dash.
Her memory was interrupted by soft knocking from the other side of the door.
"Scootaloo. Honey. Please come out. Your friends are here." Her mother said in a soft voice.
Scootaloo crossed her forlegs, she set the photo down softly and trotted to the door. She opened it and pouted angrily at her mother and ascended the flight of stairs.
"Scootaloo-" The yellow country filly was interrupted as Scootaloo covered her mouth with a hoof.
"What are you doing!" Sweetie belle squeaked.
"Just don't come back! I want to be alone!" Scootaloo replied shoving her friends out of her home.
"Scootaloo..."
"Bye." Scootaloo slammed the door and walked back to her room, but was stopped by her mom.
"Why did you kick them out!" Scootaloo's mom snapped angrily.
"You said they were bad examples anyways..." Scootaloo shrugged and walked passed her mother.
"Scootaloo what's happening to you..." Her mother whispered. She turned to open the door, she let out a small breath. "Sorry girls Scootaloo hasn't been the same since the incident happened."
Apple Bloom shook her head. "No worries miss. I think we can cheer her up."
Sweetie Belle nodded in agreement and entered the home as the mare closed the door behind the fillies.
"Woah! Where are you going?" The mare asked as Scootaloo walked to the door with her scooter and helmet.
"I'm going for a stroll. I need some fresh air to clear my mind...." Scootaloo replied, placing her helmet softly over her head.
"Oh your friends are here." Scootaloo tilted her head towards the fillies standing awkwardly in her living room with kind smiles plastered on their faces. "Yeah. Hi. So um maybe we shouldn't be friends anymore...."
"What are you saying!" Sweetie Belle squeaked loudly.
"Just stay away from me... I don't want to be friends anymore." Scootaloo ran out the door, she slammed it and scooted away.
"Scootaloo! I am so sorry girls I know she didn't mean that. She's just been in such a bad mood lately."
"No. It's alright we know how Scoots can be..." The girls walked slowly towards the door. "We just gotta give her some time."
Apple Bloom nodded. "Yea. Don't worry! Scootaloo should be back to herself in no time!"
"See you later girls." The fillies saluted the mare and skipped towards town.
"I just hope they're right..."
-
"Oh look it's Scootaloo." Laughed a taunting voice.
"What's it to ya?" Scootaloo asked turning her head in the direction of the voice. "What do you want..."
"I hear you and the crusaders got into a big fight." Smiled the filly.
"So."
"And you three aren't friends anymore are you?"
"Diamond Tiara where exactly are you going with this?" Scootaloo asked raising her eyebrow confused.
"Join me and Silver spoon, we've been wanting you to join us for a while."
"I c-can't."
"What was that?" Diamond Tiara asked leaning closer.
'You aren't their friend anymore. It's okay. You need new friends anyways. So why not! The only person saying no is you!' Her voice rang loudly in her head. Scootaloo shook it away.
'But... they're my friends-
Not anymore.'
"I mean. Sure why not?" Scootaloo responded with a confident smirk.
"Great. See you around new best friend." Diamond Tiara said with a devious grin as she walked away.
Scootaloo scooted off, leaving a small trail of dust behind her.
"Scootaloo..." Apple Bloom looked sadly at her friend as she quickly dashed away.
Sweetie Belle rubbed softly at Apple Bloom's shoulder. "Don't worry she's just like Babs. We'll save her before she's too lost."
Apple Bloom nodded softly as they held a newspaper over their heads, rain poured down softly on them.
-
Scootaloo sighed deeply as the soft breeze tickled her fur. "I wish you were here..." Scootaloo shook her head softly. "What's happening. What have I done? What am I getting myself into?"
She scooted back home, the harsh rain poured down roughly on her mane, but that didn't make her quicken her pace....
"Argh. What the-" The mare was silenced by a hoof shoved into her mouth, a cold liquid was forced into the Pegasus' mouth. The cyan mare swallowed unwillingly and the hoof pulled away as soon as the liquid slid down her throat. The taste was foul, bitter, and sour, it almost made her want to vomit.
The Pegasus suddenly felt wires and rope wrapping around her body, a leather strap was used to hold her wings tightly in place. "Hey! What's the big i-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by a muzzle being placed over her mouth. "Gff gah.."
"Hehe. Now be a nice mare and bend over so we can-"
Rainbow dash kicked the mare in between her eyes, and she fell back screaming in pain. "Gah! Stupid!"
"Ahh!" Rainbow dash fell over screaming in pain, covering her eyes with her forehooves. Her eyes stung horribly from being pepper-sprayed by the mare's assistant.
"You alright boss?"
"Argh.. yes.. just tend to the prisoner, will you." The mare rubbed at her eyes with hoof, grunting loudly in pain.
"Get away from me... What do you thing your doing..." Rainbow dash's eyes widened, but closed as they struggled to remain open.
The assistant removed the needle from the Pegasus' neck, she cleaned the tip with a clean rag and set it softly on a table. She tugged on a strap attached to the un-conscience mare and dragged her drugged body out of the lab.
"Uh... no!" The orange filly screamed, tossing and turning in her sleep. "No! Leave her alone! RAINBOW DASH!" Scootaloo's eyes shot opened and she looked around her bedroom panicky. "Rainbow dash!?" She shook her head looking at the floorboards of her bedroom with a sour look on her face.
"Why do I always have that nightmare?" Scootaloo asked sobbing quietly. "It's always the same.... it always end with Rainbow dash... losing..."
A few tears streamed down her cheeks and she whipped them away quickly with a hoof. She looked around spotting the familiar appearance of her comforting bedroom...
"Burr! It's cold!" Scootaloo thought as she glanced towards her bedroom window. She got up and trotted to the open window and closed it shut. The filly walked sadly to her bed and sat down, frowning at the floor.
"Rainbow dash..." She looked down sadly. "I'm sorry. I'll figure out a solution... somehow..."
Scootaloo gasped as she felt a tight force wrap itself around her body. Her mouth was tapped shut by the foalnapper and soon her limbs were tied together.
The Pegasus was thrown in to a dark sack and soon everything became dark, pitch black. The only noise that could be heard was the soft flapping of wings...
Revenge is all that's left.
Often fillies and foals overcome obstacles and challenges throughout their lives but, would they ever imagine the possibility of being kidnapped or a victim of child abuse!?
I held my breath. Worried if they heard, I may be caught.
I sat quietly, Listening to the two and their private conversation as they searched continuously, seeking one object and that object was me.
The mare swore aloud, throwing a wooden chair across the room. Watching as it smashed against the wall, collapsing into a pile of torn wood. Quickly, she disregarded the wooden disaster and focused on the task at hand. Finding me.
That stupid filly better come out! She is dead once I find her!" The mare shouted in an irritated voice.
"Calm down..." A second voice said reassuring. "You can do whatever you want to her as soon as we find her."
"That's right! I'll make Rainbow dash and that dumb filly regret their mistakes!"
"Calm down..." The assistant repeated, her voice sounded shaken. "We've got to find the rascal first, remember?"
"Oh. Yeah..." The mare said disappointedly. "Until then..."
The both of them whispered something softly to themselves but, I was unable to make out their words.
Before I knew it, the duo walked to the exit. And in a blink of an eye, they both had vanished.
'Rainbow dash...' I thought. 'She was always brave...'
If only, if only she could be here right now. Right beside me. To tell me that everything could be alright but, I knew only a miracle could make that dream a reality.
Last night she made her grand escape. Leaving me behind. But, for a reason. She only left me because "it would be more risky" and that they would catch us both quickly" she said.
But, I understood what she really meant. Since I was flightless, I'd only slow her down.
I wish she was still here though. With me.
"Scoots. Listen to me." She said with a voice so strong, so determined, it frightened me. "I'm going to come back. I promise."
"Really?" I asked, unsure whether I should trust her or not. Unsure whether she was lying to me or speaking the truth.
"Yes. When I do these two are in big trouble."
'Why are you leaving. Can't we fight them ourselves.' I thought but, realized fighting was fruitless. She had weapons. Rainbow dash and I had nothing, just our hooves.
Two on two was a fair match but, one pair had weapons and the second was empty handed. But, not only that, Rainbow dash was in terrible condition. Her back had scars from being whipped by her so much, her mane was stained by the blood she bled, and her face was dead tired.
"Please. Please. Don't leave me here alone." I begged softly as I wrapped my forelegs around her neck.
I was scared. Scared she wouldn't live up to that promise. Scared that she might forget about me and never return....
Tears poured down my cheeks, blinding my vision. Rainbow dash's figure became a blur but, I still knew she was here. Her cyan-colored hoof whipped away tears from my eyes, forcing me to look into her magenta eyes.
"I want you to be brave Scootaloo." She said harshly, ignoring my pleads.
But...
"Don't say a word. Don't make a sound! Stay hidden. It's your best option for defense!" She shouted, causing me to shake in my place.
"But, Rainbow dash. I'm not tough or brave like you. I can't do this." I said with pleading eyes.
At least I can't. Not alone...
"There isn't much time left. I'll come back for you tomorrow night. You'll have to stay strong Scoots." She pulled me into an affectionate hug but, I could feel her hooves shaking.
She was scared too, and couldn't hide it.
"Alright..." I said in a brave voice. "I'll try my hardest! For you Rainbow dash. I cried softly, not taking any notice to the tears streaming down my face.
Rainbow dash had misty eyes, yet, she didn't shed one tear. Nor, did she respond. She simply nodded and flew away.
I couldn't help but, feel as if she abandoned me. Left me here, lost, and alone...
