My return

Kindo was flying for his life, he wouldn’t leave the planet unprotected but he also knew staying where he was would have been suicide. There were so many explosions as he made his way to a secret bunker and inside he found the creatures he was helping. The creatures looked like squids and they can talk, not that he can understand them very well, but have difficulty moving on land.

That day started rather normally for Kindo he was just flying around Metabilus five talking to their leader. The creatures of Metabilus five are very friendly and they look like a cross between a dog and a vulture. It was a nice easy going day until they flew into a wormhole and the leader of Metabilus five died from the pressure.

He arrived on the other side of the wormhole and noticed his friend was just a pile of bones. After a few minutes of exploring he came across the squid people and then he started getting shot at. He didn’t know what was going on but he learned from the intergalactic writing and decided to help them. Intergalactic writing is a language that is shared throughout the universe it made communications between planets simpler.

The creatures he was fighting was from Metabilus five about three hundred years in the future they found out where their leader had died and blamed Kindo for it. Kindo had started this war on accident but was impressed with their technology because Metabilus five is on the other side of the galaxy. Kindo tried to explain that it was a mistake or a misunderstanding but they had arrived two years prior to his arrival.

Soarin was also flying very fast because he was late for his date with Dash. They had been going out for quite a while now and Soarin thinks it’s time to ask her the big question. Dash had been busy lately between the freak weather patterns and helping to reform Discord yesterday but today was going to be just them. Soarin finally arrived an hour late for their date and to his astonishment Dash was still waiting.

“Hey Dashie.” He said casually as he landed.

“Hey Soar, little late aren’t you?” She said glaring at him slightly.

‘I’m an hour late and she doesn’t seem that angry with me.’ He thought before saying “Who are you and what have you done with Rainbow Dash?” He said it jokingly but Dash transformed into a changeling and jumped at him.

Soarin’s eyes shot open and he realized it was just a dream; he was relieved until he felt something touch him. Turning over as quietly as possible he saw lying beside him a sky blue mare with a rainbow colored mane. It had to have been the middle of the night because he couldn’t see very far all he could see around him was a bedside table a few inches from the bed.

Soarin remembered that he went to Ponyville because Dash finally had some time off on the weekend. He remembered their impromptu date witch was just watching the last movie before the cinema shut down. To anypony else it might not seem that special but to him it meant the world. Soarin thought about the dream that woke him up and thought ‘I was going to propose to her and I was so confident about it but are we actually ready for it?’

He laid there thinking about his dream before deciding to go back to bed and let what happens happen so he cuddled with his beautiful marefriend and went to sleep. A few hours later Rainbow woke up and thought about her dream, she was late for her date with Soarin and she was thinking about proposing to him on her flight there but the Soarin that was waiting for her turned out to be a changeling.

In her dream though the real Soarin showed up and defeated it helping Dash escape it’s green cocoon. Her dream ended with him giving her a kiss as the sun went out. Dash knew it was just a dream but it got her to think about marriage and if Soarin was ‘the one’. She really did love him and the more she thought about it the more she thought that they were meant to be but Dash decided to wait for Soarin to ask her.

Kindo had finally stopped the war between Metabilus five and the planet he landed on, Poosh, it took him only a few hours to end the two year war. Kindo was ready for a break so he decided to go back to Equestria and visit his daughter. The last time he saw her he didn’t even know who she was and he was ready to apologize for that but he didn’t know how.

After thinking about how to make it up to her he finally decided to ask her future husband for ideas. He landed about three years in her future but on the wrong planet and judging from the stars not even the same universe. It took him a while but he figured out he was in a parallel world so something must have happened in the years he had been gone. Immediately after putting the pieces together he went back to the present.

Kindo landed in present day Ponyville and according to the weather it was just before the crowning of Princess Twilight. It is a fixed point in time so he couldn’t interfere but to be productive he decided to talk to Celestia about the Wonderbolts main rules. On his flight to Canterlot he thought about his busy day and how many times he missed his target landing him on another planet or time zone. It actually took him thirty tries to get where he was now but as he walked up to the Princess he noticed she must have been waiting for a while from her posture.

“Where have you been?” Celestia asked sounding like curiosity but Kindo could hear the anger in her voice.

“I just saved a planet from falling into a black hole. Before that I met my future daughter, got a mare pregnant, and accidentally created a supernova. What have you done today?” Kindo said as he landed next to her.

“Discord was reformed last month. I wish you would have been here to supervise his release.”

“I couldn’t have been there beside everything turned out alright.”

“You’re right everything is alright but I’m putting you on alert just in case.”

“I’ll be ready for orders. Right now I’m off to the Wonderbolts.” Kindo said taking off.

“Now that I think about it is there anything I can do to help an Element of Harmony join the ‘bolts?” Kindo asked looking at Celestia.

“That rule was passed by me and my sister but it could be overruled…” Celestia looked at Kindo knowingly.

“…If I took back my royal position.” Kindo finished weakly due to a sudden and massive loss of magic causing him to pass out.

Kindo was in his room; actually it’s just a tent, waiting for his father to come back from his royal duties. His father, Commander Hurricane, had helped found Equestria with a unicorn named Princess Platinum and an earth pony named Chancellor Puddinghead. After those three founded Equestria thirty years ago they became the rulers of the land. They are usually referred to as the Kings and Queen of Equestria so Kindo was always known as the Prince.

Princess Platinum had died giving birth to twins a few years ago and Chancellor Puddinghead died of an unknown disease a few months before that. Commander Hurricane is the last surviving founder and is the last King but since Princess Platinum’s daughters are too young if his father died he would be crowned King.

Kindo perked up when he heard something rattling outside, he thought it was his father, but it was just a royal guard. Many ponies would like to take advantage of the newly founded land so one of the first things they did was make a royal guard. From the look on the guards face Kindo knew exactly what he was going to say and he was right.

“Your father was killed in an avalanche. I’m sorry for your loss.” Kindo started crying for the first time in his life when the guard confirmed his suspicions.

It took a few days to finish the royal ceremony but Kindo was crowned King of Equestria and over the next twenty years lead the new land to new heights. In twenty years he had helped construct the capitol city of Canterlot, helped thwart two invasions, and expanded the land without war. Some pegasi brought forth their dream of living in the sky so he helped build some sky cities.

After twenty years as King his nieces the daughters of Queen Platinum, Celestia and Luna, were old enough to be crowned Queens. They accepted the royal duties but remained Princesses because they thought Kindo was a perfect King and didn’t want to upset the balance. It was something like that Kindo wasn’t really paying attention when they told him why.
