“What brought that on? Not that I mind.” Vectra asked as they broke the kiss.

“To tell you the truth while I was away I met a man called the Doctor and a woman named River Song. They are both time travelers but they almost never meet in the right order. They seemed to be in the same situation we are but I found out that at one point in time they got married.” Kindo explained.

“So that kiss was just a test? What were the results?” Vectra asked teasingly but also a little hurt.

“It’s too early to say but I know I liked it. Mind if we do it again?” Kindo finished nervously.

“For the record…” Vectra said before she started to close the gap. “I liked it too.” She finished quietly before closing the gap and kissing Kindo again. Vectra thought back to when she first met him.

“Vectra!” Kindo yelled trying to get her attention but she ignored him. After getting closer to her he yelled again. “Vectra!” Vectra was fighting in the battle of Rexacore a battle between the two tribes of Rexacore but the results were fixed. The end was a fixed point in time but the battle itself was in flux and Kindo knew that if this point fluxed too much it would create another fixed point.

“Violet!” Kindo yelled using her real name to show he was serious.

“What?!” She yelled and turned to face him but obviously not recognizing Kindo.

“How long have you been time traveling?” Kindo asked as seriously as he could while hiding his pain.

“This is my first trip actually.” She said and Kindo realized that she didn’t even know her chosen name.

“You can’t change this point in history.” Kindo warned her knowingly.

“Sure I can it is in flux.” She asked confused.

“That’s not the point. The point is that the outcome is fixed and changing this flux would create another fixed point.” Kindo said teary-eyed.

“I’m sorry.” She said looking to what she used to consider enemies just before her bombs went off. The point in time fluxed throwing both time travelers into the time vortex.

“You’re a time traveler now and that means that there are rules. Rule 2: a fluxing fixed point is the most dangerous point to mess with.” Kindo informed her.

“If that’s Rule 2 then what’s rule 1?” she asked.

“Don’t reveal too much to your past self.” Kindo said trying not to make it obvious that he was lying.

“Any other rules I should know about?” she asked knowing how bad she just messed up.

“Don’t intervene in your own timeline, stay out of the dark space between universes, and when you meet me again make sure you know where we are.” Kindo said summing up a majority of the important rules.

“Is that it?” she asked knowing that there was more to it.

“One last thing, choose a name for yourself so that other creatures with time travel can’t track down a past version of you.” Kindo said knowing what name she would pick.

“Do you have a name time guy?” Violet asked almost demandingly.

“My name is Kenneth Nathan Dashery but I chose the name Kindo.” He said before going back into the time vortex.

A few hours after the coronation Dash is napping on a cloud but she doesn’t know that she isn’t alone. Soarin had landed on the cloud a few inches away and waited for her to wake up. While he was waiting he couldn’t help but think about the dream he had a while ago. Eventually Dash woke up and Soarin was absolutely sure about what he was going to do next.

“Hey Soar.” Dash said groggily.

“Hey Dashie.” Soarin said causing Dash to blush at her pet name.

“What are you doing in Ponyville?” she asked causing him to look confused before laughing.

“We’re not in Ponyville, Dashie. We’re in Canterlot.” Soarin explained as Dash looked around.

“Why are we still in Canterlot?” Dash asked before she remembered everything about earlier.

Twilight had just walked off the balcony and Dash was flying around Canterlot until she ran into something. She looked around and didn’t see anything but she was sure she heard a pony groan. Rainbow Dash tried to take off but once again ran into something but there was no noise this time. Taking a better look around her she noticed that she was in a deserted alley just outside of Canterlot Castle.

“Hey Dash.” Kindo said as he released his invisibility.

“Dad!” Rainbow almost yelled in surprise causing Kindo to cringe at her tone.

“Listen Rainbow I just wanted to say that I’m sorry about a few years ago. To be completely honest you were in my future so I didn’t know at the time.” Kindo said as he shed some tears hopeful she might understand.

“I was in your future?” Dash asked looking completely bewildered.

“Yes you were and if you want I could show you what my life is like.” Kindo asked lowering the shield that was keeping her grounded and him from turning away. After a second he raised a hoof to her.

“I don’t understand.” She said still trying to figure out what is going on.

“You will. With or without my help you will, eventually.” Kindo said getting quieter as he went on.

“Okay you get one chance.” Dash said seriously but still not fully understanding everything.

Soarin knew he had to snap her out of it when she started sweating, screaming, and crying. When he looked at her now it seemed almost impossible that she was the Dash he knew. Dash was proud, brave, talented, beautiful, and colorful. The mare in front of him was weak, horrified, crying, screaming, and all of the color had left her beautiful mane and tail.

Soarin knew it wasn’t a good idea but it was the only one he had at the time. Soarin smacked Dash and almost instantly she returned to normal as if she didn’t just become the opposite of her. With Dash back to normal though Soarin got a good smack back from her. He was actually happy that she hit him because it meant that she was herself again.

“What was that for Soarin?!” She yelled after she smacked him back.

“You were acting really strange and you were crying so I had to bring you back to reality.” Soarin explained.

Dash touched her eye and felt that Soarin was right. “Oh…sorry.” She said feeling bad for hitting him earlier. “Why are you here anyway?” She asked with newfound curiosity.
