A groan alerted the nearby doctors as they quickly came into the room. One quickly looked over their scale covered patient, before bringing a flashlight out, shining it into his slitted pupils.

The creature was blinded by the light, making his pupil shrink as it hit his iris. The muffled sounds of talking alerted him as he blinked slowly, a dull throbbing in his head.

He shook his head to rid the pain, before he looked around, blinking some of the blurriness away. The creature saw a purple blob, before he looked straight at the doctors, giving a confused look at them.
The muffled voices started to become clear to him, hearing someone call his name. He shook his head again, seeing Twilight standing there, staring worriedly at him. He gave a soft smile, before sitting up.

He, however, felt his stomach turn, and bile rise in his throat, making him lay back down, incase his vomit somehow burned the ground. "Hey, Twilight. Why're you so worried?"

Twilight sighed, before looking Spike in the eye. "Spike, where's the hoard?"

"The...the what?"

"The hoard. We saw you turn into your greed growth form, but you looked...different." Twilight said, rubbing her arm, before Spike started to chuckle weakly. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. I have a hoard back in Ponyville, and I got a little greedy around you guys. Nothing wrong with that. I'll be sure to get rid of it when we get home." Spike lied, feeling sorry he couldn't tell his adoptive sister the truth. However, he had to protect them from himself.

"Okay." Twilight said, before a Nurse came and whispered in her ear. "They said I should go and leave you to rest. See ya later, Spike."
Spike gave a wolfish grin, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Just make sure Fluttershy and Applejack don't have a heart attack." He said, making her smile.

"Okay...sleep well." She said, exiting the room.

Spike watched her leave, once she closed the door and no sound was heard, he sighed. He then looked around, before inhaling deeply, the radiation in the nearby rooms going to his spines, making them glow briefly with emerald green light. He sighed in relief, feeling like painkillers ran through his body, his cuts and gashes now being sealed shut.

He then closed his eyes, ready for some well deserved rest.

Spike opened his eyes, seeing he was in an destroyed Ponyville. The sounds of screaming and guns firing meet his ear frills, making him look around. The sky was dark and cloudy, rain starting to fall onto him, making him shiver a little.

He looked around, noticing some forms lying down nearby. He ran up to them, only to see Twilight on the ground. He gasped loudly, running to Twilight's side.

THUMP!

He looked her over, noticing the cuts, gashes, and bruises along her body. One wing was badly burned, the smell of burnt flesh making Spike gag a little.

She looked up at him weakly, giving a terrified look. He saw the fear in her eyes, feeling like his heart was stabbed, then stomped on millions of times. He saw her horn light up a little, before fizzing out, making her cry out in pain.

Spike got up, a growl rising at the back of his throat. Whoever did this was going to pay, that much he could make sure of. He then looked into a puddle, before yelping in surprise, falling backwards.

Instead of purple and green scales, what met him back was black, and charcoal grey scales, his toothy smile was replaced with a blood thirsty snarl. His eyes, instead of the emerald green they used to be, were now replaced with a toxic yellow color, his pupils more reptilian looking than before. His spinal plates were a lighter grey compared to the rest of his body, sharp and intimidating.

Now he knew why Twilight looked at him like that. He was what he feared he'd become. One name which he hadn't heard since the "Greed Growth" incident. One word that made him cry at night, a fear he had hoped would never happen again.

Monster.

THUMP!

He got up, seeing Twilight struggle to breath. She gave pain gasps, before Spike went over to her, his rounded tail waving above the ground a little.

"I'm sorry, Twilight." He said, but he knew that she could only hear growls and roars come from him. "I was hoping this day would never come." He felt his grip tighten a little, seeing Twilight look at him, a confused and pained look in his eyes.

He saw a military truck pass by, before it stopped, machine guns pointing at him. He then realized they would start firing at him, which would hit Twilight as well. The started to fire rounds at him, making him duck and cover himself over Twilight, gritting his sharp, fang like teeth together as the bullets impacted his back and spinal plates.

Two more trucks appeared, firing bullets and magic at him, making him roar in pain. His eyes started to glow blue, his maw letting out glowing smoke, almost like it was a radioactive mist. His tail curved to show the dorsal plates on it were glowing blue. The light started to go up his spinal plates, making him stand up.

He turned, some plates glowing even more, as he turned towards those who dared attack him. He raised his snout to the sky, showing his gills, glowing blue, just like his spinal plates. His lungs burned for air, so he inhaled deeply, scaring the soldiers. He then opened his bear like maw, bellowing out a challenge to his attackers.

Suddenly, a massive ball of radiation expanded out as he roared, like a massive shield. It blew the trucks away instantly, nearby buildings burned, turning into ash, exploding out concrete and rocks. Luckily, Twilight was safe from the explosive attack, but she stared in horror at Spike.

THUMP!

THUMP!

THUMP!

SHREEEEEEEOOOOOOOOONNNNK!

Spike looked up, seeing the shadow of a massive, saurian creature. It's eyes glowed red as it's shape started to form in the darkness. It had a strange shaped head, and stood more upright than it's Dinosaur ancestors. It had maple leaf shaped, bone white spinal plates, which were now glowing red, disappearing for a moment then reappearing once again. It stared at Spike with a sickening smile, before it inhaled deeply.

It then opened its jaws, a bright beam of orange/red light erupting from it's jaws. Spike inhaled as the creature did so, before firing his flame like Aether Breath attack, stopping the beam. He snarled as he grew in size, matching the monster easily. He inhaled deeply, then opened his bear like maw.

SHREEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGNGNGNGNGNNNNNNN!

They both sized each other up, before Spike gave another bellow, challenging the monster. It snarled at him, before slamming its tail into his snout, sending him into a building. It gave another roar, before Spike's Aether Breath hit it in the chest, sending it to the building behind it. Spike came out of the dust, snorting angrily.

The monster came out of the dust, punching him with a clawed fist, making Spike growl in pain. It punched him again, then kicked him into the building, sending both Spike and building top the ground. Spike got on all fours, then slammed his head into the monster, stunning it for a moment. Spike then grabbed it's tail, then tossed the saurian away, sending it though five buildings, then slamming it into a sixth.

Spike looked at Twilight for a moment, before the monster threw part of a building at him. It sent Spike back, making his dorsal plates gouge into the ground, making three rows of gashes into the earth for a couple of blocks.

Spike slowly got up, noticing it staring at Twilight. Spike bellowed angrily, slamming his body against the monster's body, then he bit into it's shoulder, making it shriek in pain. It slashed its claws across his snout, making Spike let go, before it tackled Spike to the ground, crushing a dozen tanks.

The creature sat on his chest, slamming his fists into Spike's chest and snout. He brought his arms up, blocking some, but not all, of the punches. Twilight got up, before trying to use her magic again, before crying out in pain. This distracted the creature, before Spike's massive tail grabbed its throat. He then pulled the monster off, getting up, glaring at the saurian creature.

It roared at him, before being punched in the snout by Spike's clawed fist. Spike started to give hit after hit, causing the monster to roar painfully. Spike dragged his claws across his face, roaring in anger, before the creature's own tail smacked across Spike's chest, before it then pushed Spoike off, both giants glaring at each other.

Both started to inhale deeply, their spinal plates giving low hums. The creature's body started to have red glow around it, while Spike's body had a blue glow. The monster's eyes started to glow orange as bolts of electricity shot from each spinal plate, giving it the look of an angry demon. Spike's eyes started to glow neon blue, the gills on his neck glowing blue as well, like neon tattoos. His spinal plates kept glowing with neon blue as he raised his snout towards the monster, giving a God like look.

Both opened their jaws, red/blue beams of light meeting in the middle of the ruined city. The ground under the monsters cracked from heat and strength, neither willing to lose. They both kept their beams going, before a white ball appeared in the middle. It started to grow larger and larger, before exploding outwards, everything going white for Spike.

"AGH!" Spike awoke with a start, his heart racing. The machine beeped faster than before, before it slowly started to slow the beeping. He looked around noticing that it was morning.

"Thank god...it was just a nightmare...."

Author's Note

Spike and Gojira fights, may this be a darker story than once thought? Or am I just making a fight scene because I'm bored? Who cares?
