I stood there, frozen, in the middle of the Everfree forest. I could see three raptors in front of me, each female, staring at me. They looked exactly like the three Raptors from the first Jurassic Park. They all cocked their heads to the side, curious to what I was. I cocked my head at them too, surprised they were there.

One of them hissed at the others, making them back off a bit. The Big One then started to circle around me, sniffing me. I just stood there. Raptors were known to be territorial against lone raptors, or against other packs. That, and she was glaring at me, making my instincts to kick in, and freeze, not moving a muscle.

She then stood in front of me, snarling. I snarled back, making her growl in approval. She nodded towards the others, making me sigh. I started to follow them.

Here I was, trying to hunt, when these three came along, and glared at me, making me not move, less I become their next meal. Now, I got accepted into their pack. Guess I might as well talk to them.

"Hi." I said to the Alpha, but the other two growled at me, making me back off. "Sorry."

The two largest went ahead, while the one who was the smallest stayed behind, and looked at me. "Don't talk to her. She gets personal when you even get in her space. Just, stick with me, and you'll be fine." She said, catching up with the others. I followed, looking around.

"So, what's your name?" I asked, looking at the smallest.

"Zara, but they call me Z." Z said, smiling at me. She was slightly short than me, while the Alpha was about as tall as me, just a few centimeters short.

"What's her deal?" I whispered, looking at the second Raptor.

"She Maria. M for short. She usually is shy with new Raptors in the pack. You'll warm up to her." Z said, winking at me.

I could feel my cheeks heat up, looking at Z. "Can't believe you just said that. Wait, I barely know you." I said, thinking about it.

"Don't worry. The only thing you have to worry is about her." Z said with disgust. Either the Alpha heard her, and ignored her, or she wasn't paying attention. "She's the one who chooses a mate for who. Though you shouldn't worry. If she liked you, she would've chased us off." Z said, chuckling.

"Good thing, too." I said, chuckling with. I then stopped, and sniffed the air, looking around. "I smell something to hunt." I said, looking around. I then started to walk off. The Alpha noticed, and hissed at me.

I gave a throaty growl, and moved on ahead, Z following. I suddenly stopped, and smiled, seeing a some deer. Luckily, I was low, and so was Z, so they couldn't see us. I suddenly pounced, slashing the buck's neck, killing it. I then landed, and bit a doe's neck, killing it as well.

The other deer fled, but I was satisfied. Good thing I watched enough dinosaur movies to know how to do that. I then started to dig into the buck, tearing away flesh, the blood filling my throat, quenching my unknown thirst. I heard snarling behind me, and I looked to see M and the Alpha were hissing at each other, but Maria backed off.

The Alpha turned to me and growled, and I hissed back, and started eating anyway. Who knew deer tasted so good? Something then pushed me off, and snarled, and I looked to see the Alpha growling at me, then start digging into the buck, biting off chunks of meat. I quickly growled, and grabbed the doe, and started to dig into her chest, blood splattering everywhere.

I heard growling noises, and I turned to see the Alpha and M growling at Z, the Universal Raptor sign for 'fuck off'. I can tell I'll get along with this pack. Z backed off, and I looked at my doe. God dammit! Why can't I be selfish for one day of my life? Just one? I quickly dragged the doe towards her, and dropped it, offering it to Z.

"I better get going. Just to make sure Terry hasn't eaten anyone." I said, smiling. I started to walk off, when Z quickly kissed my cheek, then ran back to her meal. I smiled, and walked off. Well, today was fun. I'll have to get back to the Library to check on Spike. The little reptile has grown on me.

When I got closer, I heard someone speaking, and followed the sound. I quickly jumped onto a tree branch to see what's happening, and I saw Terry giving a speech. At least they didn't run away from him, like they did with me. I started to make a bark like roar, cheering for him, though they couldn't hear me.

I then jumped down, and walked towards Ponyville. I heard something following me, so I turned around to see the Alpha, Z, and M following me, making me sigh.

"Look, you can't go in there." I said, trying to stare them down, but they matched my stare.

"Why not?" The Alpha snorted. She sounded like Tex from Red vs Blue.

"For one, there's a T-Rex in the town that will eat you without a second thought. Two, that is a town, full of ponies, that can use unknown weapons to possibly capture and/or kill us. Three, you are not the likeliest candidate to go into a town of dragon fearing ponies, not to mention they treat on another equally, while you guys fight to see who's the alpha of your pack." I explained, making the Alpha hiss at me, but I just hissed back.

"Fine. But we will come into that stupid as town soon enough." The Alpha said, turning around. M followed after hesitating.

Z sighed, then looked at me. "Her name's F." Z said, walking away.

No, it couldn't be. "Fade?" I asked myself. I then shook my head, and walked into town, to make sure that I didn't smell like blood, I washed in the fountain, earning some strange glances from the ponies. I then jumped out, and went towards the Library. I tried to open the door,, but it was blocked by something. I grunted in effort as I tried to open it, only for it to budge a bit.

"Need some help?" Spike asked, standing right next to me. He was just a helpful little guy.

"No. Piss off!" I answered back, and I hit the door with my shoulder, gaining me entry. "Going to feel that in the mornin'." I said, rolling my shoulder to try to ease the pain.
