Twilight Does Things

"Dear Twilight Sparkle,

As you know, I've been, with Luna, really busy lately with some issues at Cantertot.

I am very sorry for not being able to send you letters those past two months, and I hope you're doing well.

The real reason I sent you this letter though is because I need your help.

A portal just opened in the middle of Ponyville, and the guards I sent to investigate never came back.

I need you to explore what lies on the other side of this anomaly. If you don't come back before one day, you'll be considered dead. I have total confidence in your ability to fulfill this mission, citizen.

After saying goodbye to her friends, Twilight prepared herself to jump into the dark portal.

"Goodbye, sugarcube. Ah'll tell your parents that you're in a better place" said Applejack, her voice full of sadness.

"Twilight, whatever happens, I want you to know you were the best friend anypony could ever asked for." said Fluttershy tearfully.

"Bye Twi, I hope you..." Rainbow Dash was cut off by Twilight :

"You do realize the only reason the 'guards' the Princess sent never came back, is because they were merely stuffed toys, and that the only action they're capable of doing is saying 'I love you' when you press their belly button... right?

"..." An awkward silence loomed over the six ponies.

Twilight sighed, "I'm going in now, wish me luck."

As Twilight walked in the portal, she could feel dark voices talking in her head, telling her the horrible truths of the universe.

All this knowledge was too much for her, and so, she fell unconscious.

When Twilight finally woke up she found herself in an unknown land. She could see a beautiful scenery : The sky was of a blue she'd never seen before, the trees looked like they were crafted by a Goddess, and mountains could be seen in the distance, with a magical castle placed on top of one of them.

'This place is marvelous!' Twilight thought, amazed 'All the exploring there is to do! This is going to be an adventure which will be written in books. With treasures, and mysterious monuments never seen before. My story will be remembered as the story of a unicorn who...'

"Uh...sugarcube?"

'And by the end of it, I'll be a new mare. With powers limited only by my imagination, and...'

"Twilight!"

"What is it, Applejack? Can't you see I'm deep in thought, examining this new, magical land?" asked Twilight, angry at the interruption.

"Hum...the portal only sent you two hundred meters away." said Applejack.

"..."

"..."

"I'm going to bed, goodnight," said Twilight.
