He called his friend Rumbeldee over, in hopes that she could help. About an hour later, Rumbeldee showed up. "Hey Vocal, what's up?" Rumbeldee asked her friend, eager to know what he wanted her over for. "Hey Rumbeldee, I need your help cleaning out my attic. Can ya help?" Vocal asked his friend. "Of course man, why wouldn't I?" She asked, laughing away. They then went up stairs to the attic, and Vocal picked up a box with his magic, and Rumbeldee did the same. "So, why you cleaning out your attiAAAAAAHHH!" She asked, falling down the stairs, and dropping the box, which dropped a crown out of it. Vocal ran to help his friend "You ok Rumbeldee?" "Yeah, but what's with the crown looking thing?" Rumbledee asked, rubbing her the back of her hurt head. Vocal stood there for a minute, then finally said "Ok, it's time for you to know." He then went and got the crown, and brought Rumbeldee down stairs to the living room. He then made some tea, and a cup of water for him and Rumbeldee. "Ok, here's the deal..." Vocal began, trying not to choke in fear "I got the crown from my grandfather. He told me that I'm the new prince, and that it was my ancestor's.... It belonged to Princess Platinum. Now... it's mine, I guess." He finished, looking down at the floor. "W-Wow... That's amazing." Rumbeldee said. "Yeah, when almost everypony in Canterlot found out, that's when I got the nickname 'The Platinum Descendant'. I was never fond of all the attention I would get, so I left, and moved here, hoping that I could live my old normal life again." Rumbeldee was amazed, her expression on her face said it all. "W-Wow Vocal, I never knew... Well, if there's anything you need, I'll be here for ya." Vocal smiled at her kindness "Th-Thanks Rumbeldee..." Two days later.... Rumbeldee went back to Vocal's, upon his request, and found him in an absolute wreck... "Vocal, what's wrong, you look horrible!" She was right at that statement. Vocal was sleep deprived, his mane was messy, sticking up in random spots, and he also smelled like garbage. "R-Rumbeldee, I haven't slept, or even done anything else but panic, in the last two days! I feel like I'm being watched by everypony around me... Did you tell Anypony about the crown!?" "What? Vocal, I wouldn't, you know that!" Rumbeldee said. "But I did..." A small mouse said nearby. Vocal, in his already delusional state, asked "R-Really my little friend... who?" But before the rodent answered, Vinyl Scratch, and Octavia busted through a window, tackling and pinning down Vocal Mike, and Rumbeldee. "Our queen, who will be joining us soon." The small rodent said. Seven hours later... "Uh... Excuse me Octavia?" The now tied up Vocal began to ask "Can you get me some paper, an inkwell, and a quill please?" Octavia ignored his request, and after several minutes, Vinyl said "I'll get it for you, hang on...." A few minutes later, Vinyl returned with the requested items, and gave them to Vocal. Vocal began using his magic to write a letter for Rumbeldee, then he placed it next to her. "Rumbeldee, read this at the right time, later." After that, there was a knock at Vocal's door. "You two stay here," the mouse said "I'll go see who it this time." The mouse then went underneath the door, only to see nothing in the night sky, but only a pair of floating green eyes. "My queen, down here!" The mouse said, and then the green eyes looked down to see him "Please do wait a moment, just one more?!" It pleaded to the eyes.... "Fine, but my patience is beginning to fade, now open the door." The mouse did as it was told. It went under the door, and a flash of green light was seen through the cracks of the door, and then the door opened. The figure walked in, and Vinyl and Octavia copied the now transformed mouse. "Welcome..." The transformed rodent said "Queen Chrysalis!" Then Rumbeldee and Vocal realized the same thing. "Changelings" they both thought. Chrysalis walked towards Vocal "So, is he The Platinum Descendant?" A changeling spoke up, after a couple moments "Y-Yes my queen, I fond out after-" "I don't need to know everything else." Chrysalis interrupted. Chrysalis began blushing, and began to think about what she realized. Chrysalis realized, what it was like to actually be in love with somepony else. "So, is it true that you're The Platinum Descendant?" Chrysalis asked, looking at Vocal's light green eyes. "Who wants to know Cheeselegs?!" Rumbeldee shouted at Chrysalis. "I, Queen of the changelings Chrysalis, am the one who wants to know!" Chrysalis said, in an angered filled voice. Vocal Mike sighed "Look, it's true, big whoop. Why does that matter?" Chrysalis smiled, blushing at her love. "Well, here's why..." She said, then used her magic to teleport herself and Vocal to a far away field in Equestria. Vocal began to drift into unconsciousness from the teleportation, he wasn't used to it...... Several more hours later.... "Good morning my prince." Chrysalis cooed to Vocal. Vocal opened his eyes, only to see a field of roses, Chrysalis, and himself, still tied up. "W-Where are we Chrysalis?" Vocal asked, yawning from his sudden awakening. "My favorite place in Equestria, I love the roses here." Chrysalis said "But, there's something you need to do for me, my prince." Chrysalis then placed her right hoof underneath Vocal's chin, lifting it so he'd be in direct eye contact with Chrysalis. "And that would be?" Vocal asked Chrysalis, with a hint of worriedness in his tone. "Give me your love..." Chrysalis said, then pressed her lips to Vocal's. Vocal tried to break the kiss Chrysalis forced upon him, but every part of his eyes turned green, he was now under Chrysalis' love spell.

Chrysalis had left with Vocal, and the Changelings huddled around one another, whispering about what to do with Rumbeldee. They came to a conclusion. "Hey mare, we've decided what to do with ya." One of the Changelings said, with an evil look on his face "We're gonna kill ya now." The Changelings walked towards Rumbeldee, and they pounced at her. She used her magic to blast the Changelings back towards a wall, and had them hit it hard enough to knock them out. "Well..." Rumbeldee began saying, while using her magic to free herself from her binds "I'm glad I can get free from those THINGS!" "I hope I'm not too late to help him!" Rumbeldee said to herself. The train was coming to a stop "We've arrived at Canterlot, please do not leave any belongings on board, thank you." The conductor said. Rumbeldee ran off the train, hoping her inherited cape wouldn't fall off, showing her rather disturbing cutie mark. She knew where she was heading, and ran as fast as she could, while her dark red and black mane got in the way a bit. One hour later.... Rumbeldee made it to her destination... Vocal's parent's house. "Hello, are the Vocal Mike's parent's here?" Rumbeldee asked, whilst knocking on the front door. A unicorn stallion opened the door "Hello, I'm Pallay." Vocal's dad said "Who are you my dear?" Rumbeldee stood astonished for a minute. She thought for a moment, then responded to Pallay "Oh, sorry. I'm Rumbeldee, a friend of Vocal Mike's. Are you his dad?" Pallay chuckled "Why yes, I am. Are you here to collect his old things?" Rumbeldee raised an eye brow. "Huh? No sir, I was told in this letter to come here." Rumbeldee said. using her magic to give Pallay the letter Vocal made last night for Rumbeldee. "Dear Rumbeldee, I might not be alive when you read this, or have control over my mind anymore, I believe that Changelings may have something to do with our past situation. When you're free, cause I know you will be, go to Canterlot, and head for 1622 Cherrygrove Street, ask for my parents, and show them this letter. Mom, dad, which ever of you is reading this, Rumbeldee is allowed to go into my room, and get the necklace with Princess Celestia's seal on it. Rumbeldee must go and find Princess Aeila! Signed, Vocal Mike." "Princess Aeila, why does he need her help?" Pallay asked himself. "Um... who's Princess Aeila?" Rumbeldee asked, rubbing the back of her head. "Oh, please do come in, I'll explain." Pallay said, bring Rumbeldee inside, and onto the living room couch. Pallay sat down on the couch opposite of the one Rumbeldee sat on. "You see Rumbeldee... Princess Aeila is Vocal's marefriend. From what I remember, they started going out before Vocal became a prince. After a couple of months, they started a long distance relationship after he left to Celestia knows where." Pallay explained, picking up a picture of Vocal and Aeila with his magic. Rumbeldee began thinking what this princess was needed for. "Sir, I gotta go." Rumbeldee said, then went upstairs to Vocal's room and got the necklace. Meanwhile.... "Hey look Aeila, a butterfly! I'm gonna catch it for ya!" The brainwashed Vocal said, chasing a blue and red butterfly for Queen Chrysalis. *THUD* Vocal ran into a tree, head first. Vocal began rubbing his head from the pain, and slowly began to remember everything that happened earlier. "oh no!" Vocal began to whisper to himself "Rumbeldee, you better be already talking to Aeila!" Chrysalis then flew towards her love, only to find him no longer under her control. "What did you do to me? You... You monster!" Vocal said, shouting as loud as he could. "Oh my, Vocal! I'm hurt by what you called me!" Chrysalis teased "I only put you under my love spell, so we could be together!" Chrysalis then used a paralysis spell, and repeated what she did earlier. Vocal was now her's once more. Back at Canterlot Castle... "Princess Celestia," Rumbeldee said, bowing to the ruler of Equestria "I'm sorry to interrupt anything you may be doing, but I need to see Princess Aeila!" Celestia smiled "Oh, you must be a friend of Vocal Mike. You'll find my younger cousin in the garden right now." Celestia informed Rumbeldee. "Th-Thank you Princess." Rumbeldee said, as she ran towards the garden. Rumbeldee made it to the royal garden, where she saw a light orange mare, with silk like green hair, using her magic and wings to tend to the flora around her. "A-are you Princess Aeila?" Rumbeldee asked the flying princess. "Why yes, I am. Who are you though my dark coated friend?" Princess Aeila asked Rumbeldee, fluttering back onto the ground. "I'm Rumbeldee, your majesty." Rumbeldee informed Aeila, who was now giggling. "I'm so sorry, but your name is a bit funny!" Aeila said, trying to stop her giggling. "Princess, I've got something for you, from your Stallionfriend, Vocal Mike!" Rumbeldee informed the princess, who now was serious. "V-Vocal? I haven't heard from him in forever! Wait... is that the necklace I got for him, the one with the holo-crystal inside?" Aeila asked, worried what has happened to Vocal. Rumbeldee gave Aeila the necklace, and Aeila opened it, with a holo-message with Vocal saying... "Aeila, should you ever see this, I might need your help. It's time you opened the locked box I got you for our anniversary, the one with the silver heart on the top." Aeila understood what might've happened, and she took Rumbeldee to her room. Aeila opened the box, with the key on the necklace that Vocal had given her to go with the locked box. She took out what was inside. "This paper, has a spell written on it, that allows the casters who use it, to free a singular pony, from any form of brainwashing." Aeila said. "W-Wait... USERS?" Rumbeldee asked "There needs to be two ponies to use it!?" Aeila looked over at Rumbeldee "Yes, and I need your help, if Vocal has been brainwashed, then we need to help him!"

"Hey Aeila..." The brainwashed Vocal began to say "I've decided, I wanna marry you Aeila." Chrysalis couldn't believe what she was hearing, though he was under her love spell, that was his decision. Chrysalis began to hold the one she loved with a more loving embrace now, and said "I will Vocal, I love you, so much..." 4 months later.... "Princess Aeila!" Rumbeldee shouted, trying to get the attention of her friend "I've got bad news!" Princess Aeila turned to what she heard "What bad news?" Aeila asked, worried about the answer. Rumbeldee pulled a sad look on her face. "We got invited to a wedding... but that's part of the bad news. It's Vocal's, and he's marrying... here, just look." Rumbeldee said to Aeila, giving Aeila the invitation. "Come on, come all. You're invited to the royal wedding of Prince Vocal, and Princess Aeila! The wedding will be held in the royal garden, this Saturday afternoon." "Does that mean.." Aeila began to ask Rumbeldee "Chrysalis has taken the form of me, and is planning on taking Vocal as her husband?" Rumbeldee nodded, still sad from what she had also read. "No.. No no no no! This can't be happening!" Aeila began to scream, then began to cry. Rumbeldee went to comfort Aeila "I'm sorry, but if we want to save him, we have to get there. He needs our help, like you said 4 months ago." Aeila remembered how she did say that, and how determined she was to see her Stallionfriend once more. "You're right Rumbeldee, let's go." Saturday afternoon..... Everypony that was invited, except for Rumbeldee and Aeila, was at the wedding, ready to meet the new soon to be married couple. The ceremony began, with Chrysalis disguised as Aeila, walking up the aisle in her wedding dress. When she finally got up there, Celestia began the same wedding routine she did when Princess Cadence and Shining Armour were getting married. "Do you, Princess Aeila, take Prince Vocal to be your husband?" Celestia asked. "I do, now and forever." Chrysalis said, in perfect mimicry of Aeila's voice, thanks to her changing spell. "And do you, Prince Vocal, take Princess Aeila, to be your wife?" Meanwhile... "What do you mean we can't come in, this is the bride over here!" Rumbeldee said to a guard, whilst waving the invitation in front of his face. Little to Rumbeldee's knowledge, the guard was a changeling, hired by Chrysalis to not let Anypony else get in. Aeila looked defeated, and began meekly walking away, and Rumbeldee didn't take long to notice this. "Where are you going?" Rumbeldee asked "We need to save Vocal, remember?!" Aeila sat down where she was standing, and replied. "Well the wedding we will miss, he'll belong to Chrysalis. My love Vocal will be.... taken away." Aeila sang, and began shedding tears. Back at the wedding..... Vocal heard Aeila singing, but became confused as to why she was sing in the middle of their wedding. "I-I'm sorry everypony I... I need to go for a moment!" Vocal said, then ran off to where he heard the singing. Vocal found a sad looking Aeila, and saw Rumbeldee comforting the crying princess. He walked over to Aeila, and said "C'mon now, no tears on our big day." Aeila turned around when she heard Vocal's soothing voice. "Vocal you're!.... You're under Chrysalis' love spell..... Rumbeldee," Aeila said, turning to Rumbeldee now "it's time we used the curing spell." Aeila backed up towards Rumbeldee, and they began to concentrate their magic, into a spell that would cure Vocal. When Vocal came back to, he saw his friend from Ponyville, and his marefriend. "Rumbeldee, what are we doing in Canterlot?" Vocal asked. Rumbeldee began to explain everything that she knew of, and when she was finished, Vocal was far beyond furious. "Hey..." Vocal began to say, letting Aeila and Rumbeldee aware of his anger "let's go crash a wedding." Everypony was surprised. How could the groom leave without a complete explanation? Vocal finally returned "Sorry everyone, I just went to get my marefriend, the REAL Princess Aeila." Vocal informed them. Before Anypony could say anything else, Aeila came into view, and shot a beam of magic at the disguised Chrysalis, forcing Chrysalis to revert to her true form... "I can explain!" Chrysalis said, hoping that everypony would understand. "Explain this you freak!" Rumbeldee shouted, shooting a beam at Chrysalis' horn, which cut it clean off. "How dare you.. you... you Ponyville slu-" but before Chrysalis could finish, Vocal had stabbed Chrysalis with his own horn. Chrysalis fell onto her knees. "Why? I loved you!" chrysalis said weakly. "You put a spell on me!" Vocal shouted, smacking Chrysalis. "I wanted to marry you!" Chrysalis said, hoping this would subdue Vocal's rage. "You wanted to possess me!" Vocal continued to shout, and smacked Chrysalis with his hoof once more. Aeila walked up towards Chrysalis. "Queen Chrysalis, for kidnapping, and impersonation Royalty once more I sentence you to...." Aeila began, not sure what punishment would suit her best. Celestia walked towards he young cousin "You've my permission, to give Chrysalis what ever punishment you'd like, little cousin." Aeila looked at her cousin, her princess and said "Thank you Celestia." Aeila turned back to Chrysalis, and continued one with the punishment. "You are sentenced, to death by magical aging!" Aeila shouted, then backed up, shooting a beam that would force Chrysalis to age more and more each second, until she was nothing but dust and bones. Aeila turned to Vocal, and told him "Vocal, I'm sorry, but I'm not ready for marriage. I wanna wait." Vocal began to tear up, then hugged his marefriend "It's ok, after everything that's happened, I'm not ready either." Celestia smiled at the young couple, as Rumbeldee did as well. "You know Vocal," Celestia began "I can get you a room in Canterlot castle, if you'd like." Vocal turned to his former magic teacher, and the first pony who was a best friend to him "Thank you Princess Celestia, but my place is in Ponyville. I love the more peaceful setting there." he then pulled Celestia, and Rumbeldee in for a group hug. "Now, Rumbeldee..." Vocal began "let's head home, I wanna get back in my own bed after all this." Vocal continued on laughing.
