Prologue

Would you like to hear a story of dark deeds, tragedy, death; and hope? If not, too bad I’m telling you, anyway's. Now you may be inquiring as to whom I am. I am Helios, guardian of this universe, as well as a few others. But compared to the entire Multi-Verse? All of space-time itself? Then- and only then- am I nothing. Now let me explain. By continuing reading from this point on, you have made a decision. By making said decision, you have now also created a universe when you had not made that choice. Here’s a fun fact for you! Every choice you will ever make will do this; from every word, to every action. In short, you don’t matter. I’m sorry but despite everything your Mommy and Daddy told you, despite how much confidence they had tried to build up in you your entire childhood, you are still nothing. Nothing. But look on the bright side; neither does anypony! So no matter how famous you get, there will always be another version of you that is a nopony. And a version of you were you never had the idea in the first place. So on and so forth, my friend.
Now with a multi-verse so huge, there is much more intelligent life than just Ponies. Humans, Furies, Sea Ponies, Dogs, Robots, Zombies, Giant floating buckets of orange paint, Cats, even gender swapped versions of you and me! (P.S The female me is HOT!). But as always, somewhere, there is always those who would try to disrupt such life; such things. Universes are often infiltrated by beings who seek to take it over, or to destroy everything in it. Here is where the Universal Guardians come in. Either we fight off the forces ourselves, or we whip out our protection force. I have Pyros-don’t worry, you’ll know what they are in due time- The Green Lanterns, the Time Lords, and those cats that shoot lasers out of their behinds. Our story starts with the Doctor as a pony, companion Derpy Hooves accompanying him on the TARDIS – as it is crashing. It’s always been seeming to do that, recently…

-(The TARDIS)-

The Doctor looked striking as a pony. A brown Earth Pony Stallion, with a chocolate mane and tail. Blue eyes, and hourglass for a cutie mark. He was wearing his trademark bright blue pin striped suit that shone in the flashing red “Crash warning” lights of the TARDIS. He ran about the control board trying to operate the controls as Derpy Hooves, a grey Pegasus with blonde hair and golden irises as well as bubbles for a cutie mark, tried to help him. The last passenger was Dinky Hooves – Derpy’s Daughter. She was a pale purple unicorn at the age of nine with her mother’s blonde features. As mother and daughter together, they were both frantically doing the best to their abilities to help the doctor.
“AHH! These damn hooves will be the death of me! SO much easier with hands! Why-” The Doctor’s sentence was cut off short by Derpy. One of her crooked eyes were staring at him, filled completely with horror.
“Doctor! Please keep in mind that there is a child on board!” The Doctor stared at her with his usual look of shock in his eyes, his face unwilling to portray the same emotion as his mouth displayed a casually sheepish grin. Dinky giggled as she held onto her mother.
“I’m sorry Derpy, but WE ARE CRASHING!” The Doctor’s mane was now very much frazzled, as was his brown coat. His blue eyes now cast a manic mix of both happiness and fear.
Suddenly, a crashing sound rippled through the TARDIS as it struck the dirt-covered ground at an odd angle. As the shockwave hit, Derpy was flung forward and she slammed in to the Doctor with surprising force. The transfer of motion sent them both tumbling into the door, the momentum finally coming to a halt as the Doctor hit is head.
“Ow!” he yelped. He had hit the metal door hard. As he looked down to see what was on his chest, he blushed. Derpy had landed on top of him. Her blonde hair was a mess and her hooves were scattered across his torso, and she was looking up at the ceiling.
“Oh, uhh, sorry Doctor.” Derpy tripped over herself trying to get off the Doctor. He rose, blushing, dusting himself off as he waited for Derpy to do the same. He really needed to tidy up the TARDIS. Dinky, however, was on the floor, laughing hysterically at the scene that had just unveiled. Due to the odd angle that the TARDIS had crash landed in, gravity pulled down on Dinky causing her to roll into the Doctor’s hooves. As the collision occurred, she let out an audible “ommf!”
“You guys looked so cute together!” She was still giggling when Derpy picked her up and brushed of her daughter’s coat, now covered in space-dust. The Doctor opened the door just enough for him to squeeze out. What he saw wasn’t what he expected at all. It was Equestria, seven years after Princess Luna’s return.
“No! No, nononononono! This! Isn’t! Right!” The Doctor stared upon the horrible sight of the destroyed Canterlot. The sky was plastered as far as the eye could see with thick, dark clouds. It was raining, making the sight even more emotional than it should’ve been. Ashes were hailing down from the sky, littering the ruins of the once-great Canterlot. You couldn’t see the sun in the sky. The only recognizable structure was half of what remained of Canterlot tower. The ruins weren’t even the worst part. The worst part was the corpses, the burnt corpses that littered the ground. This was now rubbing salt in the wound. It looked like the ponies were doing their day to day activities, caught unaware by the fiery inferno that was their deaths. If you looked closely enough, as the Doctor didn’t want to get any closer as it is, you can still faintly see the smiles of the ones that still has flesh covering their faces. Dinky was too young for this. So was Derpy. Maybe even the Doctor. Dinky screamed at the top of her lungs, the look of horror masking her face. Derpy grasped her daughter and rushed back into the TARDIS, both crying.
The Doctor fell to his knees, mouth agape, trying to comprehend what had happened. Before he knew it, he wasn’t thinking about what happened anymore. He was thinking about the fate that had befallen the poor, innocent ponies. An incomprehensible rage washed through him. This was an emotion new to the Doctor. When he looked past what happened to Canterlot, it got even worse. The same terrible fate had befallen the rest of what he could see. Farms were demolished, Cities nothing but rubble, even the Everfree forest was caught in a wildfire. Rain poured down on him, soaking his coat, dripping down his face. Some liquid managed to find a way into his open mouth and, every once in a while, he swallowed. Sometimes, the liquid would taste of salt.

After the Doctor came to the conclusion that he was crying, he decided it was high-time to head back into the TARDIS. As he stood up, however, he heard a faint sobbing sound nearby. Without thinking, he rushed towards the sound; hoping to see a friendly face that would explain what has happened. He was disappointed when he got to the source of the sound. In front of his was Discord, the draconequus. The ugly creature sat in front of him, grasping a golden necklace in one hand and what looked to be a sort of white object to his chest. “Discord,” the Doctor muttered through tight lips and closed teeth, trying to control his anger. “Was this you’re doing?” After his was said, however, the Doctor realized that is was Discord that was crying – and he was still at it.
“N-no. I helped but I-I-I-I didn’t know THIS would happen!” As the god of Chaos spoke, he gestured to the gruesome scene around them. He almost dropped the white object and he grasped it tighter than ever, holding it very close to his body, trying to what seemed like protect it. The Doctor recognized the object as the horn of none other than Princess Celestia, Goddess of the Sun.
“Did whatever happen manage to kill Celestia, too? And manage to dismember her horn?!”
The draconequus siged. “Yes, and these two objects are all I have to remind me of whom I loved. They are the only reason I can keep sane. They are the only reason I haven’t killed myself yet.”
“Make that five objects, Discord. You now have me, Derpy Hooves and her daughter Dinky. They’re back in the TARDIS.” Discord just threw the necklace at the Doctor’s hooves. He instantly noticed a design on it. A blue balloon – The Element of Laughter. His eyes widened and he once again collapsed to his knees, begging the only god left, for all he knew, for mercy. Discord. “Please, let this not happen to be a fixed point in time! Let me be able to change it! Please, I’m begging you!”
Discord floated down to eye level with the doctor and grasped both his cheeks with his clawed hangs, bringing him closer, his horn feeling very rough on his fur. “No Doctor, it’s not. Run back to your FARTIS or whatever it’s called and go back eleven months. That should be long enough for you to be able to stop everything from happening. Tell Twilight what’s going on – or more like what’s going to happen – or… look, you understand what I mean! Tell her and then wait until the Gala. That is where and when these events begin to unfold. But do this ‘behind the bushes’, so to speak.”
The Doctor nodded, and Discord now let go. Discord snapped his fingers, and suddenly Derpy and Dinky appeared in a cage above Discord and his throne of joke items. “This is just to make sure that you do as your told, kapeesh? I’ll send them back to the RETARDIS as soon as I start to feel time changing.” He picked up his precious objects and flew back to his previous nestling spot atop a cart as the Doctor ran back to the TARDIS and phased away in a mixture of joy at the fact he could fix this, sadness at the fact that it happened, and rage at Discord.
“Oh, sexy.” He said to the TARDIS. He now rarely got time alone with it. “What have you gotten me into this time?”

-[Eleven months before Apocalyptic events]-

Twilight Sparkle was taking a shower. It was in the early hours of the morning, and it felt refreshing for the warm water to strike her mane and run down her coat all the way down to the bottom of the tub where it was all drained away. She just began lathering shampoo into her mane when she heard a knock on the bathroom door.
“Twiliiight, the Doctor is here to see you!” called Spike. Twilight couldn’t believe it. It has been months since they had last spoke together. Before he had met Derpy, they had both been companions in the TARDIS and they used to travel together across the cosmos. Forgetting of all other intentions, she swiftly rinsed the shampoo out of her mane before turning off the shower. Hopping out of the tub, she put a towel on herself to ensure that water would not drip on the ground. She opened the door and walked past Spike, noting how much he had grown over the past couple months. He was now at eye level with her and his scales were now a much deeper shade of purple. The spikes down his back have gotten sharper, so have his teeth, and tiny nubs of wings are beginning to protrude out of his back.
“Thanks, Spike. Pray tell, how long has he been waiting?”
“Not long.” His tongue had even grown and his breath smelt as what can only be described as rubies.
As Twilight walked down the stairs into the living room, she noticed the Doctor sitting on the couch – his head down. Tears stained his blue suit, and he still seemed to have an aura of sadness engulfing his very being. She cautiously approached him and gently wrapped her hooves around the Doctor, embracing him. He collapsed into her, crying. He spoke faster than Pinkie that one time she found a sugar factory on one of her journeys. Spike, meanwhile, went back to sleep. Typical Spike.
“Slow down, Doctor.” Said Twilight in the most soothing tone she could muster. She carried him over to her bed and lay him down. He sat on the edge of the bed and told the story, only slower this time, and Twilight sat beside him, her face filled with concern.
When he was done, Twilight rested a hoof on the Doctor’s shoulder. “But I don’t understand. Why did Discord tell you to tell me? Why would he want to help?” The Doctor brought Twilight into a hug. “Maybe he wants you to go to the Gala right now, and for me to try to stop the events before the Gala officially begins.” The Doctor nodded, fixed his tie’s knot and walked downstairs. As Twilight followed, she wiped tears from her eyes. She opened the door and escorted the Doctor out. As he walked away to his TARDIS to leave for the Gala, Twilight turned around and heard a voice.
“Oh Doctor, your pain gets worse from universe to universe. Don’t you just sometimes wish for it to all go away?” Twilight shook her head and headed back inside, thinking of what events she must stop.

-(Helios)-

Not even that even matters. For in a different universe, that did not happen. Or it was the Doctor that was stuck in that cage or... Well, you get the point.
Not even a Universal Guardian matters, for in other universes we have made other choices, or we don't even exist in that universe.
But there are those who see new universes being created by looking in to the golden strands of creation that come off the items, or ponies that make them. They are called seers. Their golden eyes, in ponies, can identify them at least. But this comes at a cost; it will usually drive them insane.
Look at this, for example. Lyra Heartstrings. Crazy about humans. Well, a Human version of her is Crazy over ponies. So on, and so forth. But she is unique when she finally caves, ALL versions of her will snap at once and she will be immune to the effects of the multi-verse. It will be the only thing that will EVER matter and on that day when something matters the Multi-verse will get even bigger. But that won’t matter; the Lyra in those universes will be insane. You see how important it is. Now the next part of our story starts the very next night, as Rainbow Dash flew around the night sky.

-[A month after Flaming Feather came to town
Ten months until apocalyptic events ]-

It had been a month after Flaming Feather had came to Ponyville. He currently lives with Rainbow Dash, or Applejack if he helped her out on the farm that day. He was currently sitting under a tree in the Ponyville park reading Daring Do Reality Ring. He chuckled to himself as he turned the page, but, as he was about to start reading, the sound of a scooter zoomed by, but stopped and backed up. On it was a Pegasus foal about at age Twelve. She was orange with a purple mane and tail the same as her eyes. She had no Cutie Mark but Flaming Feather guessed it whould be something to do with her scooter when she did get hers.
"Hey I haven't seen you around. You new?" She smiled, hopping off her Scooter.
"No, you didn't come to the Party Pinkie threw me?" His eyebrow raised. How could anypony miss one of Pinkie's Parties?
"N-no. Not going was my punishment at the Orphanage for not being there at Curfew." Her head hung, but Flaming Feather felt a surge of remorse for this filly. He set his book down and looked at her.
"That sucks. But hey, you seem like a cool filly. Whats your name?" The filly looked at him and smiled a smile only somepony as innocent as a foal could do, her eyes also held the same look.
"Scootaloo. Coolest filly around. Rainbow Dash's number one fan!" She exclaimed.
Flaming Feather laughed.
"Fan of my sister eh? Hows your flying ability? gotta be fast to keep up with her." At this Scootaloo's ear's droped and she looked down.
"No, I can't fly...WAIT?! SHE'S YOUR SISTER?" She was suddenly vary ecstatic, getting right in his face. Flaming Feather tried to lerch backwards, but his head hit the tree.
"Ow. Yeah, I am. I'm Flaming Feather by the way" He rubbed the back of his head.
"This is awesome! What was it like growing up with her?" She sat beside him looking at him in the eyes. Flaming Feather felt so much remorse for this filly. An Orphan, Wishing her hero would pay attention to her. He could feel a loning for attention coming from her, so he ruffled her mane, smiling.
"Well we were only close friends untill my mother died and my dad dissapeared" Flaming Feather's had now a sad look on his face. Scootaloo looked at him realzing he was once an Orphan too, she moved in closer to hear better and hug him.
"Hey I'm okay but It was a nice childhood" He forced the word Nice but Scootaloo didn't seem to notice. She stoped Hugging him, but Flaming Feather wraped a hoof around her.
"Wanna read with me? You seem in need of something to do." He smiled as Scootaloo nodded and leaned into his body as he picked up the book. He began to read aloud to her, but after a few minutes the sound of an explosion, in reverse, took place. Scootaloo looked up at Flaming Feather, as he set the book down and stood up fast. Scootaloo jumped up, hopped onto her scooter, and followed Flaming Feather as he flew to the sound.

When they got there, they saw a strange sight. Vinyl Scratch, a white Unicorn, with a electric blue, and another shade of blue mane, and tail in a spiky style. She also had a pair of purple shades on, but the weird thing was the white fire-like thing coming out of her hooves. Flaming Feather stood beside her, and his hooves light up in a pine green fire like his coat, startling him.
"Hey." They said, greeting to each other. They were in a small clearing in the Whitetail Woods. There was a small black orb hovering infront of them. When she looked into the orb, she felt a nothingness that chilled her to the bone. Scootaloo hid behind a tree, confused, but even more so when Spitfire, a golden Pegasus mare with an orange and yellow mane still in a windsweeped fasion with brown eyes, she landed beside Flaming Feather, kissing him on the check as her hooves light up with fire the same color of her coat. All three of them raised their hooves in unison, and the combined fire ball sent out was of all three colors. Scootaloo heard a twig cracking, and she turned her head to see Twilight and the other of the main six hiding too. Watching them, Twilight, had a look of curiosity on her face, while Dash seemed to be about to flip out at the Spitfire kissing Flaming Feather's cheek. Applejack was covering her mouth to avoid her shouting out. Scootaloo looked back to see that the fire was still seeping out of there hooves, and the black orb was getting smaller from being surrounded by the fire, until it was nothing. Vinyl Scratch vanished. When she was gone, Spitfire drew Flaming Feather into a long, deep kiss. Rainbow Dash burst forth yelling at the top of her lungs, an evil grin plastered on her face.
"Flaming Feather and Spitfire kissing in a tree! K. I. S. S-" She was cut of By Spitfire's yelp and Flaming Feather covering Rainbow Dash's mouth.
"Shush! We're trying to keep our relationship a secret." The rest of the of the Main six walked out, each of them smirking. Rarity had an evil look on her face that made Scootaloo gulp. Rarity looked like she was about to say something, but Twilight Sparkle cut her off.
"You two plus Vinyl are Pyros?" She said fascinated by them.
"What's a Pyro?" Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy all asked at once. Spitfire was about to explain, but Pinkie Pie cut her off
"Silly Fillies, they are ponies who can chanel the Fire of Equestria and it shows as the same color as there hooves. They chanel it by using there Emotions. With that, they protect our universe from all kinds of bad thingy wingies!" Everypony looked at her confused.
"How do you know all that? Only the royal family and the guard know about that." Spitfire flusstered.
"Oh Spitsy! I talked to the writer...DUH" Everypony just excepted that with a nod.
"Anyways, please don't tell ANYpony about our relationship, or us being Pyros." Flaming Feather begged they all nodded, save Applejack.
"Alright Sugercube. I wanted ta ask ya Flame if ya could help me on the farm fer Applebucking season." Flaming Feather nodded as everypony but Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Spitfire left.
"Alright now, I'll see ya around" Rainbow flew away. Flaming Feather and Spitfire kissed quickly before she flew away, and he and Applejack troted away.
Scootaloo sighed watching him go. She liked him a lot. She felt they had some kind connection. Never the less, she went away, hoping they could hang out again soon.

When she got back to the orphanage, she cared the scooter on her back. The head of Sunshine Daisy, a pale yellow Earth Pony with a green mane and tail, with blue eyes and red glasses stormed to her in a huff.
"Just where WERE you?" She yelled stomping her hoof down. To Scootaloo, she seemed like one of those mares who never really had a foalhood.
"Just outside, Miss Sunshine" Scootaloo unenthusiasticly droled.
"You didn't tell me or anypony else! we were so worried." If there was anything Sunshine Dasiy did not look like it was worried.
"Yeah, whatever." Scootaloo began to walk away but she felt Sunshine Dasiy's hoof smack her cheek. She shruged it off, not really caring, and ran to her room, which was mostly a bed, a desk, and a window where if Scootaloo looked out, she could see the park.
Sunshine Dasiy locked her door from the outside.
"No food, water, or ANYTHING for a day!" She yelled, and stormed off. Scootaloo junped onto to her bed and screamed into her pillow.
"It just isn't fair! Applebloom has Applejack, Big Mac AND Granny Smith! Sweetie bell has Rarity and her parents! I have nothing! ITS NOT FAIR!" She wished Somepony would adopt her and save her from this nightmare of a "home".

-(A week later. Applebucking season)-

Flaming Feather and Applejack were curently bucking apples at Sweet Apple Acres, as it was Applebucking Season.
His legs hit the tree thrunk of the apple tree, and the apples fell down into the baskets like a waterfall. He whipped the sweat off his brow and turned to Applejack with a devilish smirk on his face. He galloped at full speed and took her hat.
"My hat." He playfully said as Applejack turned to him, a playful smirk also on her face.

"Get back here and give me mah hat!" She galloped after Flaming Feather her the earth pony abillity to gain more mussle mass then the other pony races gave her an advantege to him and soon they were side by side and she tackled him and they tumbled down the hill in each others hoofs, laughing as Applejack's hat had been left at the top of the hill, because it fell off Flaming Feathers head when Applejack tackled him. They landed at the bottom of the hill, Applejack ontop of him and breathing hard, as was Flaming Feather. They kept laughing, but she noticed something on Flaming Feathers chest, that would have been out of sight if he stood up. Scars, and lots of them. In the shape of letters that spell out. Luna, Celestia and Cadance. Her eyes shrank as her she kept looking down and saw the scars went all the way down untill his waist, and there was so much that there was barly and normal space on the area but they would be hidden if he was standing up. Applejacks breath was shallow, and she backed off him and just stared.
"What?" Flaming Feather asked, and then he noticed the position he was in and rolled over to his stomic to hide them.
"Flame, why in the same HELL Do you have those?" She almost yelled at him. She was very worried for him.
"No reason, BUCK OFF!" he yelled, and went back up the hill and tossed Applejack her hat. She grabbed it, placed it on her head, and went back to work.
"Somethin' is wrong with him. Ah'm gonna find out." She promised herself.

-[A few day's after Applejack made the promise to find out what's wrong with Flaming Feather. Days until Apocalypse: 298]-

It had been two days post Applejack and Flaming Feather’s meeting involving his scars. She was still strongly worried for him. Since the incident he hadn’t been talking to her normal, but instead much like her brother Big Macintosh. All his words mostly consisted of simple “Yes” and “No” and his eyes seemed to carry a pain that it didn’t seem to when he first came into town. She approached him slowly as he oversaw the sunset at the top of the tallest hill. He sat erect for a moment as he noticed Applejack, then he rested his muscular frame against the tree, heaving a great sigh as he did so, and placed his hooves criss-cross on his belly. His breath slowed and he became more relaxed. Applejack took a seat beside him and he gave her the slightest nod of acknowledgement but kept his eyes on the warm glow of the Equestrian sunset. After a few minutes he turned to her and spoke suddenly, startling her as she hadn’t noticed him turning to talk..
"Do you take seeing the sunset for granted?" Flaming Feather asked suddenly. Applejack looked to the sunset she had become desensitized to its beauty from seeing it everyday and it had become just another part of the farm day.

"Yes ah have Sugercube. Why do ya ask?" She was curious as to why he asked.

"Its very complicated. I've really seen the sunset, so when I do, its one of the most wonderful I see." He had a look of pain in his eyes mixed with rage. Not the simple rage you feel when your mad at somepony, this rage was pure and it shock Applejack to her very core.
"Why's that?" She tried to remain strong, but the rage was bilding in Flaming Feathers eyes.

"No reason! I-UHGH!" He cluched his head and he began to cry. Not a sobbing cry, but a cry as if he was in pain. The tears were not tears, they were blood, and it was flowing out of his eyes and now his mouth. The crimson liquid was flowing onto the grass and down the hill. Now all of his cuts had reopened and blood was flowing out of them too. AppleJack was freaking out backing away, as Flaming Feather fainted and went still. But that was not the end. The blood came rushing back, and went back into his body in which the way they came. Flaming Feather got up, gasping. His front hooves flailing around, his eyes now begging for whatever was happening to stop. He stoped failing and looked at Applejack. A small smile of pain still on his face as he bent over vomiting the dirt that had came with his blood out of his mouth back into a mound of dirt.

Applejack ran up to him and hugged him, crying.

"What the Tartarus WAS that! Ah-ah was so worried! Y'all need help right now. C'mon lets get to Twilight." She began to drag Flaming Feather across the dirt but he pushed her away,

"Jacks, I'm fine. Thats Natural for me y-" He began, but she cut him off.

"NATURAL?! Flame, that was anythin BUT natual." A stray laso was laying on the ground, so she picked it up with her mouth and flung it around Flaming Feather. It tightened around his stomach, and made him fall the the ground. He let out an grunt as he hit the ground.

"Now I ain't letten ya out till y'all tell me why the hay ya had that bleeding fit!" Flaming Feather sighed, and burned the rope away wih green fire that came from his front hooves. He sprung up and pressed Applejack agenst a tree. He winked before letting go.

"Right then, Jacks. My story begins long ago, when I still lived in Cloudsdale on the day of Rainbow Dash's first Sonic Rainboom."

-[ Flaming Feather Age 8, Rainbow Dash Age 8. Day's untill Apocalypse: 7062]-

Flaming Feather ran out of his house crying. His flank was blank, his eyes bronze and his mane a firey red with gold specks in it. He ran to Rainbow Dash's house, smiling and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Aurora. Rainbow Dash's mother asked her voice sounded like the most beatuiful thing you'd ever hear. Her long mane and tail the colors of the rainbow and her white coat shined, her midnight blue eyes showed a look of concern for him.

"Is R-Rainbow Dash here?" He asked shakily, trying to hold back tears. Aurora gasped and drew him into a motherly hug and kissed his forehead.

"Yes. Yes she is. Let me go get her. Come in." Flaming Feather ran into the house and sat on the couch and waited.

"Who's here?" Thunder Dash. Rainbow Dash's dad a Dark blue Pegasus stallion with a gray mane and tail stilled like a lighting bolt with yellow highlights. He saw Flaming Feather and a smile broke out on his face as he walked over and ruffled his mane.

"How's my little guy!" He viewed Flaming Feather as the son he never really had, but he still cared a great deal about Rainbow Dash.

"I'm okay." It was clear he was lying, but Thunder didn't push when Rainbow Dash ran into the room and tackled Flaming Feather into a hug. Thunder Dash walked out smiling.

"Whats up Flame?" And Flame told a story that shattered both of their innocence of the world forever.

"What the same hell why did-"

"I trust you too much already! I'll get to the actual story."

Flaming Feather watched from a distance as Rainbow Dash stood up for Fluttershy. He barely heard:

"What'da have in mind?" And then they all flew off to race. He shruged and followed them. After everypony was lined up and ready Fluttershy waved the flag they sped off. A cheer for Rainbow Dash was about to escape his mouth, when he saw Fluttershy fall. He dove after her, flying at his top speed towards her. She only seemed to be focused on her fear. They fell but Fluttershy landed on Butterflies and Flaming Feather pulled up before she noticed him right into the path of the green part of the sonic rainboom. The boom was heard and the green part hit him and he screamed in pain as all Spectra that wasnt green was ripped from his body. He tried to get out of the boom and it rocketed him towards Canterlot. He got out and begain to vioently vomit blood, and fell directly into the Canterlot Gardens. he was unawear of how fast he had traveled, and he had landed right infront of Princess Celestia, a white Alicorn taller then anypony he had ever seen. Her patel main flowing in the breeze was the last thing he saw before he fainted. Barly clingling to life.

Beep.....Beep......Beep.

Flaming Feather opened his eyes. He was very confused, and sat up. He was in a hosptial room and he was hooked up to a heart monitor . He was in a cyan hospital gown, and his eyes stung. He kept trying to rub the pain out of his his eyes. He looked over to his bediside table to see two cards. He picked a black one and opened it. As soon as he did, he smiled as he reconized the Clawwritting.

Hey there Flame. You've gone through worse stuff then the Rainboom shock wave. Get well soon Tough Guy.

He set the card down, and grabed the pink one with a picture of a bunny on it.

There was a card from his dad. His mom was dead, she had died the day before the Rainboom race, There was a card from his Uncle who was working in the guard, but no card from the one he cared about most. Rainbow Dash. He slumped back into his bed, saddened, but when he rolled over to look at the door, he saw Rainbow Dash sleeping in a chair with her mom also sleeping beside her. Her eyes oped to see Flaming Feather. She ran to the bed and hugged him. He hugged back a tear roling down his face. Rainbow Dash began to cry into him.

"Hey, what's wrong Dash?" Flaming Feather asked now very worried for at the time was the one pony in the world he could tell anything.

"I-I'm so sorry!" She sobbed into his sholder. Her hooves held him close, the many scars on his body rubbed on her stomach and chest. This caused Flaming Feather to shudder, so he pushed her away a little as he didn't like the felling of the scars touching fur.

"What are you sorry about? I'm fine.....Arn't I?" He was very weary now. Rainbow Dash stopped crying and pointed to his hair.

"Your mane and tail are white."
Flaming Feather grabbed his mane and pulled it down infront of his eyes. White. He jumped back in shock, tumbled off the bed, landing on his head.

"Ow! Anything else?" He groaned in semi rage his voice shaking.

"Your eyes are red and you'll suffer from bleeding fits once a week. The Doctors told me not to tell you, but nopony's here so I have to tell you." Flaming Feather rushed to a mirror and looked at his eyes. Red. He turned to Rainbow Dash.

"Are we still friends?" She asked shaking. He laughed a little, walked to her and hugged her, kissing her check. It caused both of them to blush.

"Of course! Nothing will make me stop lov-being your friend. BUT, your nick name shall now and forever be Eyesoar, as a way to remind both you and I how awesome you can be." He smiled. Rainbow Dash giggled, placing a hoof over her mouth. Suddenly his Father walked into the room. Spicy Herbs, a Pine green Pegasus stallion with Bronze eyes and brown mane and tail styled like Letis Leef's.

"Hey Flame" He smiled and Rainbow Dash ran out of the room, followed by her mother who had just woken up.

"Hi dad." Flaming Feather was still blushing from the kiss on the check he had given but it died down as his dad walked to him.

-[Day's untill Apocalypse: 298]-

"Annnnnd Thats were I cut off. There's story there I don't want to tell.....At the moment" He grinned at Applejack, who had taken off her hat and was holding it over her mouth. A sign of saddness.

"Ah'm-Ah'm real sorry, Flame. About all that, but the story ya don anna tell meh. Why is that?" She put her hat back on before giving him a small hug.

"Well I just want Eyesoar to be around when I tell it." He sighed suddenly realizing he was in the "I wanna cuddle" mood at the moment.

"Why?" Applejack asked incredibly curious.

"Its a sob story, if you ever heard one. She can fill in the parts when I'm sobbing." Flaming Feather made to take off but Applejack jumped on his back, wrapping her hooves around his neck.

"Then lets go partner! Ah can't walk on clouds like you Pegasi can, so y'all gotta carry me....If yer strong enough that is." She teased and he took off from the ground with ease, even shaking her a little bit.

"Whoa there! AH always enjoy flying on someponies back." She remarked looking down at the ground as they acended.

"Why's that Jacks?" Flaming Feather asked now flying towards Rainbow Dash's cloud castle.

"Well as an Earth pony, Ah never really leave the ground fer any reason. So up here I see things differently. Imagine you never left the ground in yer life. Y'all see what ah mean" At this Flaming Feather closed his eyes and thought of just that, and when he opened them he saw the whole world as Applejack saw it. He gasped.

"It's beautiful! Oh thank you for showing me your way of thinking." Right as he finished, a Roar of a Hydra was heard. They both turned their head to see The Hydra. It had four heads on snake-like necks and a large, orange, dragon-like body, with only two legs and no wings or arms, And It was heading towards Ponyville. Flaming Feather took off after it with Applejack holding on for dear life, but she was just as worried as he was.

"After it!" She yelled.

Chapter 4 :Battle with the Hyrdra

-(Applejack)-

Applejack rode on Flaming Feather’s back as they flew after the hydra. It had avoided Sweet Apple Acres, but was on the path right to Ponyville. Screams could be heard, mostly the flower girls yelling, "THE HORROR," or, "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!"

-(Lyra Heartstrings)-

Lyra Heartstrings was sitting at a table outside of Sugarcube Corner across from Bon Bon, her wife – a light apple-greenish gray earth pony mare with moderate artic blue eyes and a moderate cobalt blue mane with very light fuchsia highlights and three candies for her cutie mark. They were having lunch and Lyra was drinking coffee. It was odd, but it had been a slow day so far. Over the month Flaming Feather had been in Ponyville they had become fast friends, but there was also a small hint of attraction on both sides. This caused Lyra to spend even more time with Bon Bon.

"Sure is an exciting day," Bon Bon joked, or at least tried to. She was tired from working late at her bakery, which was moderately successful. Lyra Heartstrings went to take a sip of her coffee when the ground shook with a tremor. She blinked as the ground shook again and turned to see the hydra walking towards town. She gasped. Bon Bon screamed and ran off. Lyra couldn't blame her… after all, the only reason she wasn’t running was because her Seer powers were acting up, and all she saw was gold. She felt herself being dragged away by Bon Bon. She recognized the smell of baking that lingered on Bon Bon.

-(Applejack)-

As Applejack rode Flaming Feather and they circled the beast, she shouted,

"Don’ ya think we need a little help?” Flaming Feather started trying to draw it the other way.

"Really AJ? You think we have TIME to get help? And besides I can take it," said Flaming, but he was subsequently smacked the hydra's tail, which whipped around and sent Flaming Feather flying towards Ponyville. Applejack had jumped off as soon as she saw the tail, though, and grabbed on swinging around on it as the beast tried to shake her off.

-(Flaming Feather)-

Flaming Feather tied to steady himself before he hit the ground at max speed. He flared open his wings trying to resist the air, but it was no use. He heard his wing snap and blood began to spew out of one. The tail’s strike had broken some veins in his right wing. Tears fell from his eyes as he realized his life was about to end. He didn’t hit the ground, though. Spitfire zoomed in and lifted him from the lethal descent, straining herself to fight his momentum. Flaming’s head pounded, his ears rung, and he focused on the sound of all the galloping going on down below. Spitfire managed to brake enough that she could know he’d be safe.

"I got you," Spitfire lovingly said, then gently laid him down on the ground. "Stay here. The Wonderbolts have arrived." Flaming Feather tried to get up, but Spitfire held him down. "Don't move, Hot Stuff, you're hurt," she said. She no longer sounding loving, but stern, more commanding, like the captain of the Wonderbolts and General of the Pyros that she was.

"No! I'm second in command of the Pyros!" Flaming Feather began to get up, but Spitfire slapped him. All of his senses snapped into focus as the pain seared his cheek.

"You idiot! You can't fly. You can run around Ponyville getting help, then get straight to the hospital! Understand?" Flaming Feather knew his place. He saluted.

"Yes, ma’am!" he said before quickly kissing Spitfire, then galloped off to get help for the fight. Spitfire chuckled as she watched him go away. Flaming Feather galloped to the Golden Oak Library and slammed open the door.

"Bookworm!" He shouted, some fire escaping his mouth. He ran downstairs into the Laboratory to see Twilight Sparkle huddled insanely in the corner, her mane and tail unkempt, her eyes alight with utter madness.

"What am I to stop? What? WHAT? WHAT?!" Twilight Sparkle insanely cackled. Flaming Feather backed up a step, and then an idea dawned in his head and sprang off his tongue.

"Hey Bookworm, there’s a hydra in town. Maybe you have to stop that. Hmm?" He prayed to Faust herself it would work. Twilight’s eyes seemed to brighten with a sudden realization.

"Yes! That's it!" Without one more word, she dashed out of the room and out of the library towards the hydra. Flaming Feather followed her outside, and he saw Spike still sleeping, on the way there... of course. He hammered on the door of the Carousel Boutique franticly. When nopony answered, he burst the door down with his hind legs. Rarity yelled in shock as Flaming Feather galloped to her. "Rarity, hydra! You need to help!" Rarity nodded, commanding Sweetie Belle to run out of town, bringing as many ponies as she can with her. Flaming Feather noticed Rarity moved extremely fast. She was a blur when galloping. He went away to Fluttershy's cottage. Fluttershy was cowering in her house with her many animal friends surrounding her when a knock was heard on her door.

"G-go away! I'm hiding from the b-big scary hydra!" Fluttershy meekly called with her loudest voice, which was the volume of a normal speaking voice. "Fluttershy! You can use The Stare on it. Please help us. You can use The Stare on it!" Flaming Feather reasoned from the other side of the door.

"No! It’s big and scary!" Fluttershy whimpered. Flaming Feather huffed in annoyance. He really didn't want to stoop to the level he was about to. He blew his mane out of his face before saying something he knew would rile Fluttershy up.

"It hurt me, Fluttershy." Instantly, Fluttershy flew out of the house at top speed and tackled Flaming Feather to the ground, inspecting every inch of his body until she saw the broken wing. Fluttershy's face went from concerned and loving to utter rage.

"That asshole will get what’s COMING to him!" Flaming Feather stared, in complete shock of Fluttershy. She of all ponies was the last he expected to curse, let alone promise violent hurt to something. As she flew off he got back up, brushing himself off before running to Sugarcube Corner. By this time Flaming Feather’s wing was screaming at him from the pain. His teeth were grinding themselves. He was used to pain like this, but that didn't stop it from hurting. Sugarcube Corner was right in front of him, so when he threw open the door and almost fell to the ground Pound Cake noticed immediately and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He was about five years old.

"Hey mister, are you alright?" he asked, concerned. Flaming Feather nodded, trying not to let out the amount of profanity he wanted to shout, since he was around a young foal.

"Are Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash here, kid?" He groaned through all his pain. Pound cake ran off to get them, and Flaming Feather made his way to a chair and sat down closing his eyes holding back tears. He was a grown stallion now and stallions never cry. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash came in with Pound Cake and rushed to him. Flaming noticed them, and wheezed.

"Hydra... go fight it… I'm fine... BUMSEN, my wing hurts!" Pinkie Pie's eyes widened at his use of German to curse in public, in front of a foal no less. Rainbow Dash ran off without question but Pinkie stayed for a moment, noticing his broken wing. He waved her off, getting up to make his way to the hospital.

-(Twilight Sparkle)-

Twilight Sparkle stood uneasy, one hundred feet away from the hydra, unsure if the Elements would work. A hydra is a natural being, thus harmonious, but something in her gut told her that it would be worth a try. She opened her chest of elements and placed her crown upon her head. With the power boost it provided, she summoned the rest of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony to her. They all blinked and looked around in confusion, but when they all noticed the hydra, a look of understanding dawned on each one, Rainbow Dash being the last. They each put on their respective elements and looked to Twilight Sparkle, who closed her eyes and began to charge up the elements, the feeling of the ground falling away didn't even jar Twilight as the elements were charged and she opened her eyes, magic flowing forth from her. The Elements fired at the hydra. The rainbow beam blasted from the crown of magic, arched up into the sky and twirled before hitting the hydra. The beast roared in utter pain, tears streaming from its many eyes. Now, the effects of the Elements of Harmony are different for each being, but Twilight Sparkle didn't think a hydra would slowly become red dust and flow off in the opposite direction of the wind. She shrugged it off, however, and she and her friends relished in the victory with a group hug. Now isn't that just sweet? I always love when they hug, it looks so adorable... erm, sorry. Right, I'm telling a story. Ahem. And so, Ponyville was safe once more! But, knowing Ponyville, that safety wouldn’t last.

Chapter 1: Long time no see.

-(Rainbow Dash)-

"All right, yer sure ya don wanna spend the night Sugar cube?" Applejack, an orange, earth pony mare with a blond mane and tail, green eyes, and an apple cutie mark asked Rainbow Dash. A Cyan Pegasus mare with Magenta eyes and a mane and tail colored like a rainbow; her cutie mark was a cloud with a rainbow lighting bolt.

They were standing in the doorway to Applejack's house. Applejack and her had been going out for three years now; it was nighttime and the stars were out. Rainbow Dash leaned in and kissed her marefriend on the lips soft and lightly; it only lasted a few seconds.

"No AJ. I gotta get home, but I’ll come help out on the farm tomorrow, okay?" She nodded as Rainbow Dash took off into the night air and towards her cloud castle.

She landed and opened her front door with a key that she always hid under her mat. The inside led right into the living room, which happened to be a mess; pizza boxes and garbage was everywhere. But like usual, she ignored the mess, closed her front door, and lazily began to walk to her room. But before she could jump in bed and curl up with a good Daring Do book, a knock was heard at her door.

"Who in the hay would knock at this time o night?" She mumbled to herself and walked down to open the door and see somepony that made her eyes widen.

"Hey Eyesore, long time no see." A deep, monotone voice came from the Pine-green Pegasus stallion the size of Rainbow Dash with a white mane and tail in a shaggy style, and red eyes that seemed to glow like the embers of a dying fire.

"Flame!" Rainbow Dash quickly hugged him and rested her head on his shoulder as he hugged back. Flame was Rainbow Dash's adopted brother. Although he only lived with her for a year when they were nine before he left to be part of some secret order, she loved him and he loved her all the same, and had known each other since they were three; he visited her at least once a year.

"Eyesore… hugging… too tight!" Flaming Feather gasped but chuckled as Rainbow Dash let go of him blushing profusely, and brought him inside where she sat on her couch beside him. She leaned into Flaming Feather and he wrapped his hoof around her, cuddling her.

"Mind if I stay awhile? Like three months?"

"Yeah! Sure, go ahead! I love spending time with you! Tomorrow we can introduce you to my other friends, okay?" Rainbow Dash smiled, resting her head on Flaming Feathers shoulder.

"Great can I have your guest room?" He tried to get up but Rainbow Dash wouldn't let him go.

"Yeah, but you'll be snuggled to death tonight!" She laughed remembering all the times that she said that in their foal hood.
Rainbow Dash forced Flaming Feather onto his back, laughing and snuggling into him. Sighing and yawning, they fell asleep rather fast due to their combined high body heat.

The next morning, Rainbow Dash woke up first and felt his hooves around her, she sighed as she tried to pry his hooves off her; she did and rolled off of him and suddenly felt very wet all over. She was sweating, hard. Rainbow Dash was about to wonder why, but she could feel Flaming Feathers’ unnatural body heat and saw he was squirming and muttering in his sleep. Rainbow Dash recognized that he was having a nightmare, he had these kind of things regularly after he joined the organization, so she patted his shoulder and as she stopped he bolted up, heavily breathing and his eyes wide with fear.

"What the hell Flame? Why were you so boiling hot? I'm sweating all over for Celestia's sake!" Flaming Feather had a sheepish look on his face but he rolled off the couch and hugged Rainbow Dash. She returned the hug but broke away after a minute and trotted off to her shower.
"I'm taking a shower could you make breakfast?" he nodded and trotted into the kitchen.
After an hour or two Rainbow Dash came out of her shower and smelt eggs.
"You made eggs.... DID YOU USE OUR DAD'S RECIPE?" Flaming Feathers dad was a high class chief before he disappeared. He mostly cooked Breakfast so he past a few of his recipe’s onto his son even though his talent was flying.
"You know it" He chuckled as Rainbow Dash ran downstairs and put the two eggs Flaming Feather had made for her as he emptied the pan of the tomato sauce and herbs he cocked them in the flavor soaked into the eggs mostly the yokes. She sat at the table and began to eat hungrily. Flaming Feather laughed under his breath as he sat across from her and ate more slowly. But after half an hour they were both finished and Rainbow Dash patted her belly.
"Well let’s go get you to meet my friends" Flaming Feather suddenly stood up and ran out the door.
"Race ya into town Eyesore!" He laughed as he flung open the door and flew out at top speed. He could rival her in speed if he wanted so she took off after him laughing as she caught up with him.
"Slow poke!" She sped ahead of him sticking her tongue out. He grinned as he speed up up and went beside her.
"Have to brake out the fancy stuff to beat me" He grinned and just seemed to enjoy the feeling of flying. Rainbow Dash complied by performing a loop de loops and speeding past him at a forty-five degree angel downwards. Flaming feather merely followed but she landed at the entrance first but as soon as he landed Pinkie Pie a Pink earth pony with a dark pink mane and tail styled like cotton Candy and blue eyes appeared out of nowhere from behind Rainbow Dash in an explosion of Confetti
"NEW PONY!" She cried in an overly happy tone and had a grin on her face that made Flaming Feather smile along. She bounced up to him and shook his hoof
"Hiya! I'm Pinkie Pie, the bestest party mare around! What’s your name?" Flaming Feather couldn’t believe the amount of happiness she was putting off.
"Flaming Feather just call me Flame."
"He's my brother" Rainbow Dash chimed in. Pinkie gasped a large gasp and broght Flaming Feather and Rainbow Dash into a hug.
"You never told me you had a brother Dashie! Oh hold on!" She disappeared in a puff of smoke and came back with the party wagon. She hit the red button and began to sing and Dance

By the end of the small song and Pinkie's summoning of instruments to play out of nowhere Flaming Feather was on his back laughing his head off. A Deep laugh.
"That was great! I wish I was welcomed into a new place like this more!" He got up still chucking a little bit
"Nope only in ponyville you Crazy Colt. I'll see you at your party! Later today at Sugar cube corner!" She bounced away happily humming a random tune.
"Well I really liked her! Who's next Eyesore?" Flaming Feather asked as Rainbow Dash shock her head and began to trot away and he followed
"My friend Twilight" They arrived at the door in minutes and Rainbow threw it open causing Spike to jump and drop the books he was holding.
"Oh sorry Spike!" Rainbow Dash chuckled and she watched as he placed them and turned to them Spike noticed Flaming Feather and walked over and hoof bumped him
"Hey." They both said in unison.
"You two know each other?" Dash asked befuddled.
"Ya I've seen him around Canterlot when I go up there" Spike slid back to his chores and began to get back to them.
Twilight Sparkle teleported in looking a little bit crazy muttering to herself
"What events am I supposed to stop?" She kept muttering until Rainbow Dash taped her on the shoulder.
"Uhh,Twi? There’s some pony I'd like you to meet." Twilight turned around to see Flaming Feather looking around at all the books
"Wow lotta books. Mind If I call you Bookworm?" He offered his hoof and Twilight Sparkle shock it.
"Sure I'm Twilight Sparkle" Flaming Feathers eyebrow raised
"Tia's prized student yet you live in the library? In Ponyville?" She chuckled
"Yep. You ever need a book come to me!" He nodded and he and Rainbow Dash walked out.

After awhile of walking a Unicorn Mare with an very light aquamarine coat with pale, light grayish cyan with white highlights tail and golden eyes with a Lyre cutie mark walked up to them.
"Hey Rainbow Dash who's the new stallion?" She asked in a friendly tone.
"Oh hey Lyra, this is Flaming Feather, my brother. Adopted, but he’s still my brother." Lyra smiled and shock Flaming Feathers hoof.
"Well Hi, I'm Lyra." He nodded,
"Just call me Flame, Lyra" Lyra nodded. Rainbow Dash noticed they both had a slight blush.
"So Lyra, how's Bonbon?" Lyra shook her head and turned to face her
"My wife's doing great! I should get home now actually" She teleported away, winking at Flaming Feather. Rainbow Dash frowned at him.
"Watch who your looking at." He held his hooves up in a sign of he didn't want to argue.

They eventually walked pasted the Carousel Boutique. Several mares walked out of it with Rarity. Rarity was a white Unicorn with a Royal purple mane and tail, moderate azure eyes, light cornflower bluish gray eye shadow, and three diamonds for her Cutie Mark waved them out.

"Come back soon!" Rarity was about to head in when she saw Rainbow Dash and Flaming Feather.
"Rainbow darling how are you? And who pray tell is this stallion!" Rarity waved them over and they both walked in.

-(Rarity)-

"And you are?" She asked as she looked him up and down she noticed he was at his physical peek and there were white lines, scars of some kind on his belly but She wasn't going to pry.
"Flaming Feather" He shook her hoof.
"Well you must be new around here. You ever need anything you come to Rarity, understand?" He nodded and they both left Rainbow Dash saying something about how busy they actually were.

-(Fluttershy)-

As they arived at Fluttershy's home, A timid yellow Pegasus pony with a long pink mane and tail, cyan eyes, and three pink butterflies for her cutie mark, Flaming was happy to see her. She was another foal hood friend. She slowly opened her door, but flung it open when she saw it was him and she hugged him tight with her heart racing.

"H-hi Flame. How are y-you?" She was trying not to let her crush get the better of her; she had had a crush on Flaming since they were teenagers.

"I'm doing great! …You can let go now Flutters" She let go looking embarrassed.

"Oh, sorry" She squeaked out.

"Hey its okay" He grind rustling her mane.

"But Dash and I have one more pony to see, correct?" Flaming Feather asked Rainbow Dash, whom from the looks of it was trying not to spill Fluttershy’s secret.

"Yeah! We do, let’s go," before Fluttershy could comprehend what was happening, they were gone.

"Goodbye." She whispered then headed inside.

-(Applejack)-

Applejack a Orange earthpony with a blonde mane and tail, red ribbons in it, an old Stetson, green eyes, and apples for a cute mark was bucking the many Apple Trees of sweet apple acres. Rainbow Dash saw her marefriend swooped down and tackled her into a hug.

"Well howdy Rainbow Dash." She laughed as they rolled around in the dirt. Flaming Feather hovered above them, smiling at the show of affection. Applejack noticed him and got up.

"Well Howdy Pardner!" She offered her hoof, he shook it vigorously and Rainbow Dash tapped her on the shoulder.

"This is my Brother. Flaming Feather." Applejack brought him into a hug
"Nice ta meet ya! Rainbow Dash has told me a lot about y'all." Flaming Feather broke the hug and looked at Rainbow Dash, she mouthed, "Not everything" After, they talked for a while and they walked off. Rainbow Dash had her hoof around each of their shoulders; off to the Party Pinkie Pie had planned.
