All I wanted was some peace and quiet.

I woke up via some poking, at this I was a little disgruntled. "Urmph go away." I am a little bit less than subtle when I am woken up. Now the hooves were shoving me a little bit harder, way to hard. "Hauh!" Such a subtle landing onto the floor I had, ballerinas everywhere would be jealous. "Okay i'm up. What do you want?" That last bit I said a bit loudly.

"Come now sleepy fellow, there is no need to bellow." Hearing that it was Zecora I got a little embarrassed, I just yelled at the one friend I had...smooth as a cactus Chris. "Come with me, we have places to be."

Not knowing where we would be going I decided to ask, I also was still hungry but like really hungry now, turns out I slept until it was nearly sunset."Where is it that we are going Zecora?"

"I can't say where we are bound, just follow like a hound." I took a little offence to that but decided to stay quiet and just go with her. We were heading up on what looked to be an enormous apple orchard, I mean like huuuuge. If I was not in a forest earlier today I would say that this was the largest amount of trees I had ever seen.

We were now approaching a barn that was light-less, oh great she is going to murder me, NO no thoughts like that, how would she even do it I don't see any weapons her... bucking paranoia. I have never really been all that suspicious of ponies before, but I was in an entirely new area, with ponies I did not know.

She motioned for me to go inside, so it was a trap huh, I narrowed my eyes slightly and slowly went in." SURPRISE!" I screamed like a little filly... great yet another word I can't actually say.

In front of me there were balloons and streamers everywhere, a large cake in the corner, a WELCOME TO EQUESTRIA banner was hanging between some rafters, and a lot of surprised looking ponies, guess they were not expecting my reaction. Slowly but surely the look of fear came off my face to be replaced with a smile, zecora had thrown me a party how nice of her, she really did not seem the party type though. At that thought a very pink pony, why the one from earlier that ran faster than my eyes could follow, walked up to me holding what looked to be a present in her hooves... how?

"Himynameispinkie-pie,Ithrewthispartyforyoudoyoulikeit? My eyes went wide and I looked at her, then to zecora, she smiled mischievously, I looked back, pinkies eyes were enormous with a look of questioning in them.

"A-a yes, yes I do this party looks wonderful thank you for doing it for me." I had never seen anypony talk so fast in my life before. Another pony began to walk towards me, this one had a white coat and a very well groomed mane and tale, both were purple. But what I noticed first was a cup... floating... in front of her. "How-how are you doing that?" I said pointing to the cup.

"Doing what? Oh do you mean the levitation? Do you not have that where you are from?" She seemed surprised that I was well surprised by her ability to levitate things.

"No, no we do not, that is so AWESOME!" I thought that was incredible, that was what horns were for, I noticed that her horn had the same kind of glow that was coming off the present, unicorns could levitate things...so...awesome. I then heard in the background.

"I like him."I heard this coming from a nearby hovering Pegasus with a rainbow mane, and a cyan coat... I know it should not surprise me by now but the Pegasi can fly...Zecora is rubbing off on me.

"Can you levitate me?" I asked with a look of wonder on my face, oh to be above the ground without being in a plane sounded wonderful.

"Oh no, I am nowhere near strong enough for that, although I bet twilight over there could." She had a look that told me she was not the type of person to consider doing such things even if she was strong enough. She then pointed to a purple unicorn with a purple mane that had one strip of lighter purple and another of pink.

"Rarity, come on I am not that powerful." She was blushing just a little and looking down and to the left a little.

"Oh why yes you are darling, you lifted and entire Ursa minor." She looked quite proud of her friend, I wonder what an Ursa minor is?

"What's an Ursa minor?" I probably looked stupid to them now...crap.

Twilight began to speak. " An Ursa minor is like a bear, you have bears where you are from right?"

"Yes, we have bears in America."  I gave her a dead pan expression.

"Well Ursa minors are a lot bigger." Her turn to give the dead pan look.

"Well then in theory you should be able to lift me, right?" I was getting excited again. I had always enjoyed the idea of machine-less flight.

"Yeah sure, but can it wait until the party is over?" Oh man, I could not wait. All of the ponies took to introducing them selves, there was Applejack, an earth pony with an orange coat with a blonde mane and tail, then came Rainbowdash, the cyan Pegasus with the rainbow mane and tail, up next was a yellow coated Pegasus with a light pink mane, Fluttershy, it was less of an introduction as more of mumbling and "eeping".

All and all it was just the eight of us, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Rainbowdash, Rarity, Twilight sparkle, and of course zecora. I must have been eyeing that cake more than I thought because Pinkie began to cut it into slices. "Oh sweet Celestia cake..." Why the buck did I just say Celestia? Meh who cares, cake!

I grabbed some cake off of the table and got a fork as well I sectioned off a small portion and brought it to my mouth, the result was me eating another 6 slices of cake, I was going to have one tartarus of a crash, but it was so worth it.

"Gift time!" was shouted by pinkie.

Rarity walked up to me first with a pouch that was softly jingling in tow. "Here, I got you these so that you could pay for any expenses you come across, inside is fifty bits."

Pinkie began to walk to me next. " I got you an interview with the cakes, we sure could use some hands at the store."

Rainbow floated by to me discreetly handing me a book, she whispered in my ear. "It is one of my favorite series, you'll love it."

None of the other guests had presents, they were not warned in time to get me any aside from the three, I did not mind at all though. The party began to wind down some, soon enough everyone was starting to leave, twilight walked up to me and began speaking. " I believe I promised you some levitation?"

I was positively beaming now, aaaww yis levitation time.

I felt her magic touch me and... nothing happened, I could see her starting to look confused, then suddenly I felt... powerful, have you ever heard someone joke about putting red-bull through a coffee machine, yeah I was at that times ten thousand.

"I don't get it I can't lift you up." She was now looking a bit worried, I felt my left eye start to twitch a little. "Are you okay, am I hurting you?"

"Twilightstop." I said this faster than I could perceive, I felt her magic go and I.NEEDED.TO.RUN.FAST. I began to start out with a walk, but the tiniest bit of motion was like me using every ounce of muscle in my body in that one spot, needless to say it did not start out at a walk, I was the flash, I was unstoppable, I ran into tree, I knocked it down, and then without warning I felt the effect of whatever it was that her magic did to me wear off. "Twilight? What did you do to me?"

Her mouth was agape. "I have no idea Chris, we need to speak to princess Celestia, I will set up a meeting with her as fast as I can, I have never seen magic effect anything that way."

On that note I was feeling terrible, All of my energy felt gone, this combined by my sugar crash did a great job of having me black out, I seem to be sleeping a lot nowadays.

I awoke to see myself in a very white room, remembering last nights events I understood that I was probably in a hospital. "That's good they cared enough to get me some medical attention." I said aloud to myself, well I thought it was just me but then I looked to my side to see all of them looking at me worriedly...don't I feel like a dick...so I can say that word, COME ON!
