It has been a little over a week since Mark arrived and disaster had decided to follow him. One day a pink cloud showed up above the center of Ponyville. Everyone was helping fluttershy care for a sick animal that was almost back to perfect health when Mark pointed the cloud out to everyone. “Twilight, what kind of cloud is that? I have never see one like it the whole time I have been here.” “Oh no, Rainbow, go check it out. And please tell me it is not what I think it is.” after a quick flight Rainbow had gotten the cloud and brought it back to the group. “Sorry Twilight, its cotton candy. Discord is back.” As soon as the words had been said the cloud exploded and out of the explosion came discord.

“Hello everypony.” “Discord you cant stop us this time!” “Oh but you silly ponies don’t realize, I don’t want to be here. I had forgotten how good the stone was when I got out last time, so here are your elements, turn me back in a post I enjoy.” With a snap of his fingers all the ponies had their elements on. “Mark, stand back let us do this” Once mark had gotten back a few feet and Discord had gotten into a pose they all use the elements. However, the elements attacks just bounced off him as he started to laugh.

“Ha! While it that rock I learned a new trick. It will take more then that to stop me this time. Well you know the drill little ponies. Come visit me in Canterlot some time.” with a second snap of his fingers a flash of light blinded them all as Discord vanished.

Twilight instantly began devising a plan to stop discord. “OK everypony, we need to stop discord. We need to start moving now to get to him. I'm sorry Mark but you...” Twilight is speechless when she turns around to see Mark is now a pegasus. He is shocked to see himself transformed into a green pegasus with a spiked blue mane. “Um Twilight, what happened to me?”

Twilight was the first to talk after a long pause of surprise. “Mark, your a pegasus now! We have to fix this, come on lets go stop discord.” Rarity suddenly spoke up as Everypony got ready to run to Canterlot. “Wait Twilight, I think we should leave Mark here. He may be the cause of Discord getting loose and his new power.” “Or maybe Mark helping us will give us the power to stop Discord. If he is too strong for 6 of us to stop him then maybe 7 of us can do it.” Rainbow Dash suggested and had her idea added to by Twilight. “Rainbow has a point. We need Mark to stop him, and if we find out Mark is giving him power we can just send him back at any time. Now lets go” Quickly they all ran off in the direction of Canterlot.

On the way mark kept jumping into the air and flapping his wings trying to fly. After trying about 30 times Rainbow decided to help him. After a few minutes of this display being the only thing happening Pinkie got board. “Twilight why don't you just teleport us all to Canterlot?” “I would but using the elements took a lot out of me. It looks like I'm not the only one though.” as she said that Rainbow Dash’s wings gave out but she landed safely. “Hang on Mark just give me a second to rest my wings and we will pick up were we left off.” “Thanks for the help Rainbow but I think I got it.” Mark said as he jumped into the air and started flying awkwardly for a few seconds before crashing. “I guess not.” Mark said as him and everyone else started laughing.

Soon after they came across a giant ravine. “Ah apples! Its gon take forever to get around this here hole.” AppleJack proclaimed in anguish but got interrupted by Mark. “Wait its not too far across. AppleJack, Rainbow, Fluttershy and I can go get some wood and Twilight and Rarity can turn it into a bridge. Even if your too warn out for strong magic I'm sure you two together can move the wood around. Lets go!” So the unicorns started to get their magic ready while everyone else went to find some trees to use for a bridge.

Soon after they all came back with a bunch of wood and Mark was carrying all of his on his wings. “Mark why are you carrying the wood with your wings? Doesn't that hurt?” Twilight asked as they put all the wood in a pile. “Well Rainbow told me it would make my wings stronger so I could fly better” Mark explained as Rainbow started giggling. “OK, Rarity and I will have this done soon” Twilight said as her and Rarity used their magic to build the bridge with the wood.

As they continue their trip to Canterlot Mark was determined to learn to fly before they stopped Discord and he would change back. He saw a large hill and decided to go to the top of it and glide down, so he ran to the top of the hill while everyone else stayed on the path but when he got to the top he saw something terrible. He expected to see a large castle in the distance but instead saw a giant black orb. Quickly he decided runining would be faster then trying to fly down the hill and when he ran down to the group he told them what he saw. “Um, I know I'm new but I don't think Canterlot is suppose to be a giant black orb.” Twilight was confused by what he said and questioned him only to learn what he saw. “There was a giant black orb in the distance at the end of the road, you will be able to see it when we get around this next set of mountains.

Once they got around the mountains they saw what Mark was talking about. All of Canterlot was now inside a giant black orb. When they got to the edge of it Fluttershy decided to investigate it. She poked it with her hoof but quickly received a painful electric shock and backed up away from it. “H-How are we going to get past this?” Applejack went up to it and turned around. “Simple Fluttershy, we smash it.” This was followed by Applejack kicking the black shell so hard the shock sent her a few feet into the air.

“I have an idea” Mark spoke up. “Since it shocks us when we touch it maybe we can shock it back. Rainbow I need you to get some clouds. If you cant find any that are not transformed we will need to make our own electricity.” “Got it!” Rainbow told him flying off to try to find some clouds. “Twilight and Rarity can you two make electricity with your magic? The more we use the higher chance something will happen.” Rarity got upset with Mark fast. “Of coarse we can, but what if this electric shock only makes it worse? Did you think of that?” “Then we will be in the same place we are now. On the outside of an electric ball that is blocking our way and we need to find a solution to get past it.”

When Rainbow got back she gave a storm cloud to Fluttershy and Mark and kept one for herself while gloating. “Ya they were all gone but I used my amazingness to make some from the water in a little stream.” “Ok, thanks Rainbow, now everypony on the count of 3 we unleash the electricity and pinkie and Applejack will kick the dome as hard as they can. ONE! TWO! THREE!” mark yelled as his plan came into effect. When everything hit the orb at the same time A bunch of white cracks appeared in it and they spread across the entire surface in a few seconds and with a loud crack the entire orb flashed and vanished.

After a few seconds there was another much smaller flash of dark blue light in front of them. From the flash of light appeared princess Luna and 2 grey guards, one with a sword cutie mark and one with bubbles. Twilight thought Celestia would have shown up for this and asked Luna. “Princess Luna! But where is Celestia?” “Discord turned her into stone for revenge, he has become mad with his new power. Here let me use my magic to teleport to him, if we tried to walk he would find us and he is probably mad that you broke his shield.”

With a final flash of light they were all teleported into the main chamber of the castle. and saw a statue of Celestia and Discord waiting for them, laughing.“Oh look who it is, my favorite ponies in all of Equestia. And you brought your new friend. Too bad you still cant stop me.” Luna and the two guards charge past the group in an attempt to save Celestia but Discord snapped his fingers and they turned into statues as well.

Mark decided since everypony else had already tried to stop Discord it was his turn. He stepped forward but instead of trying to stop him Discord just smirked “And just what do you think you can do? Neither of the Alicorns could stop me and the elements did nothing.” “That's where your wrong Discord! Last time we used the elements their were only 6 of us but now I am here and we have 7.” A glow appeared around Mark’s neck while he was talking. On the way here I learned that if something seems impossible for just one pony all they need is a little help from their friends.” The glow got brighter as Discord realized something might be wrong. “Every time you tried to stop us we just had to work together and we overcame the challenge.” Suddenly the glow vanished and a necklace appeared around Mark’s neck with an yellow gem that looked like a light bulb. with 2 arch's coming off the top forming an M shape.“And together we can stop you!”

When Mark was done talking the Elements of Harmony appeared on their respective ponies as a glow came from each of the ponies in the room, including Mark. The glows lifted off each pony and merged into a large rainbow colored orb that flew across the room and smashed into Discord turning him to stone once again.

With Discord defeated Everything went back to normal, except Mark who was looked at himself just confusion to notice he had gained a cutie mark in the shape of the amulet around his neck. “Shouldn’t I be back to normal like everything else?” Celestia walked up to him and explained everything. “Mark, when discord returned it was because of the chaos caused by you coming here. This power made him stronger and required all 7 of you to stop him. While he did change you with his power you change yourself when you earned your cutie mark by stopping him. So your current form is caused by you and cant be reversed. I'm sorry” Mark got a smile and replied “Don’t be, I like it this way”

Twilight walked up to Celestia and told her what she had learned of friendship from this event. “Princess since I don't have my letter equipment I will present my lesson of friendship personally. “Today I learned it takes more to have a friendship. For a great friendship you must have a belief in your friends and that together you can achieve anything. You need to always remember to have faith in your friends because no matter how dark the situation seems your friends will always show you the light.”

Mark turned to the group with a smirk and then started running our of the room. “Race you all back to Ponyville!”
