Chapter 2

Is this ok?

“Is that all you remember?” Fluttershy was still in the same bed as rainbow and she was starting to like it. Rainbow had always been a friends of Fluttershys since flight school and has never fallen out with her (Apart from when discord escaped) and didn’t plan on doing so anytime soon.

“Well no, there are a few more things I do remember.” Fluttershy hung her head in shame, scared of Rainbows response of what she was about to tell her best friend.

“It can’t be so bad, or can it?” Rainbow was beginning to worry about what was about to be told to her.

*The Night Before* (Continuation of the last chapter)

“oh oh oh me first me first” Pinkie was starting to get loud and hyper again while talking to the waiter. “I’ll have the…… soup, yes I want the soup” The waiter giving a simple head nod in response.

“I’ll have some of th’ apple pie, thank y’al kindly” Apple jack was also thrilled to be in such a high class restaurant, after all she is only a farm pony.

“What will it be for the princess” The waiter said giving a slight bow to Twilight

“Ok then I will have a dandelion sandwich, please” Twilight didn’t want to spend too much time choosing since everypony was probably hungry and again the waiter just nodded his head.

“Oh I simply can’t chose, there is such a wonderful range of food. I think I will have the….. Fondue, please” Rarity said with a Canterlot accent but still slurring her words.

“I … I will have some hay fries, ple…please” Rainbow was right about Pegasus being lightweights, she was unable to keep her balance while standing.

“What would you like Fluttershy? Fluttershy? Where did she go?” Twilight looked around the room and seen Fluttershy standing over at the bar getting some wine for herself. ‘Wait Fluttershy is drinking? There must be something wrong’ Twilight thought to herself. “I’ll be right back” Twilight walked over to Fluttershy at the bar who has noticeably been crying a little bit.

“Shy, what’s wrong?” Twilight had always been there to help Fluttershy through bad times or the really bad times like when Angle Bunny passed away.

“Oh, Twilight… nothing’s wrong, but there is” Fluttershy was hiding behind her mane to hide her eyes that started to fill up with tears again. Twilight gave the sad are a tight hug which stopped Fluttershy from crying.

“Now, what’s wrong? Has someone hurt you?” Fluttershy just hid behind her mane a little bit more.

“No, it’s just….i li…..i like. Rainbow Dash” Fluttershy started to whimper again but Twilight pulled her in closer.

“It’s ok, I’m sure if you tell her the truth she will understand.” Fluttershy simply nodded. “Now lets go have some fun”

Twilight picked up Fluttershys wine and walked back over to the table and set it down.

“….And I asked Shy if she had a crush on any stallion and she said no but for the rest of the night she couldn’t keep her eyes…..” Rainbow was cut off mid-sentence by Fluttershys disapproving eyes “Hey shy, how you doing?” Rainbow chuckled nervously.

“I’m fine, I’m just here to order my lunch and have fun with my friends” Fluttershys smile was obviously fake but nopony questioned it.

“Darling its ok I picked out your favourite, Daffodil Soup” Rarity looked at Fluttershy who was smiling properly now but was still worried about what her friends response would be.

*10 Minutes and 3 glasses of wine later*

“Your food has arrived” The waiter put all the plates down on the table

“This looks yummy” Pinkie was now licking her lips in anticipation but resisted and waited for everypony else to be ready to eat.

All the food was put out in front of everypony “This looks delicious, I’m happy you brought us here Rarity” Twilight was now ready to eat her lunch too.

“I’m glad you like it” Rarity was looking around the table to check everypony was ready to eat

*Back into reality* (If that’s what you would call it?)

“Wow Wow Wow. Shy… Did you say that you like me?” Rainbow had a smile on her face but was also a little bit nervous about hearing the response

“Well…. Yes, I mean if that’s ok with you?” Fluttershy lowered her head onto the soft fluffy cloud, it felt like the mare had just entered a furnace.

“Shy, I’ve been your friend since we were just little fillies, you could have just told me. Besides I’ve been feeling the same way for quite some time now and well now that it’s actually happening I couldn’t be happier” Rainbow had the biggest smile on her face while she waited for Fluttershys response.

“So, does this mean…. You know, that this is ok? Us two together? Dating?” Fluttershy started to raise her head from the cloud bed.

“I guess so. If you want to make it happen then, yeah it is fine” Rainbow was now gradually getting closer to Fluttershy.

“Oh Rainbow” Fluttershy jumped on top of Rainbow snuggling into her light cyan fur while Rainbow wrapped her wing around Fluttershy.

“So, are you going to tell me the rest of the story and how we ended up in my bed together and what happened?” Rainbow was now nuzzling Fluttershy

“Sure thing…. Snuggly wubbly” Fluttershy gently started to nibble on Rainbows ear.

“Don’t start with the nick names….. Nibbly wibbly” Rainbow just giggled at the fact she just called Fluttershy ‘Nibbly wibbly’.
