Luna never had an apprentice till she finds a young Pegasus filly at Cloudsdale's school for gifted flyers hosts a show for the three Princesses. A certain filly called Solar Ring or Solaris catches the Princess of the Moon's eye. But not everyone thinks that the black Alicorn can take of a Pegasus.

Meanwhile things in the castle are coming undone when disaster hits the Essence of the Sun. Luna wonders if taking an apprentice was the right choice….
