The Mysterious Letter

One week had passed by since the letter from the secret admirer arrived and Twilight was sitting in the kitchen of the library enjoying a daisy sandwich with a cup of tea while reading the newspaper, Spike was out in the living room taking a break from his cleaning duties and sat in his favorite corner of the library to read his comics.

Finishing up her sandwich Twilight walked in to the library living room to continue to read the book she was reading, on her way to the book she heard a knock at her door.

Opening the door she saw a maillpony standing there with a package and a letter in his hoof.

“Got a letter here for Princess Twilight.” He said while holding his hoof up and trying to bow to the alicorn princess without falling flat on his face.

“Thank you sir. Who gave this to you? If you don’t mind me asking.” Twilight said while holding up the package and letter with her magic.

“I could not see the pony’s face, your highness, but from the tone of her voice I could tell she was a mare.” The maillpony said while adjusting his hat.

Twilight looked at the maillpony and levitated the letter and package to her desk.

“Thanks again for the delivery sir” She said while walking back inside and slamming the door in the maillponys face.

Twilight opened the letter and started reading, starting with reading the name of the sender which indeed was her secret admirer.

Dear Twilight Sparkle

It is me again writing the second letter out of three that you will get from me under this guise.

Anyway in this letter I will reveal that I am a pegasus and a mare, I hope you are ok with a mare being in love with you.

Also instead of a rose I sent you something nice and warm for the winter, I made it myself I hope you like it.

Now I have to sign off to prepare for the next one, I really hope you don't mind having a mare loving you, if you do then you can say so when we meet, I won’t feel hurt for whatever you chose to say to me then, until then I will continue to think of you and me together.

Puting the letter down Twilight looked over to the package and back at the letter.

“A mare? so this admirer is a Fillyfooler? I need to think about this for a few days.” Twilight said to herself while levitating the package over to her self.

“Might as well see what is in the package, who knows, I might like it.” She said while opening the box. Twilight saw a light hoof knitted lavender scarf with her cutie mark at each end of it, it was so well knitted that it looked like it was done by machine, but there were a few parts of it where Twilight could tell it was hoof knitted.

Twilight put the scarf around her neck.

“Not only does it look nice it feels nice and warm and has a small scent of nature, like newly bloomed flowers, it is obvious that whoever made this pute a lot of time into this scarf.”

Hanging the scarf up on the clothing rack Twilight noticed that the baby dragon that was in the corner was not sitting reading his comics like he did when she entered the room.

“Twilight we need more groceries for the next week.” Spike said coming out from the kitchen with a glass of apple juice in his hand.

“Sure Spike, it is time to see what Applejack got at the stall before she closes down for the winter.” Twilight said while putting the scarf back on.

“Oh and is there anything you need from Applejack’s stand?” She said while opening the door with her magic and looking back at Spike.

“Hmm no I don’t think so, maybe two or three bags of apples so we have some during the winter.” Spike said while putting the glass down on the table beside the chair in his corner.

“Ok see you soon Spike try not to eat everything in the fridge.” Twilight said while walking out the door and closing it.

Twilight was walking down the living district of Ponyville, and while passing one of the newly built homes she noticed a white unicorn walking out of the house saying goodbye to someone.

Twilight could not see who this mysterious pony was before the pony closed the door with what seem to be magic so it was a unicorn, Walking up to the white unicorn Twilight said.

“Hello Rarity who were you visiting?” She said while smiling.

Rarity turned around and looked at Twilight while laughing nervously.

“Oh Hello Twilight, oh that was just a… a distant cousin of mine; haven't seen her for years.” She said while starting to walk alongside Twilight.

“Oh, well ok. I was actually on my way to your boutique to ask you about something rather personal, if you are not too busy.”

“Of course, darling, I always have time for you now let's hurry so you can tell me what’s up.” Rarity said while starting to trot a little faster.

Walking through the doors of Carousel Boutique, Rarity and Twilight headed straight for the kitchen, once inside Rarity used her magic to fill the teapot with water and put it on the oven and taking two cups out of the cuperd.

“Sit down darling; tea will be ready in a minute” She said while pulling Twilight’s chair out, Twilight sat herself down while levitating her tea cup over to her, at the same time Rarity sat herself down while placing the tea cup next to her.

“Now darling what is this you wanted to talk about?” she asked while keeping an eye on the tea pot.

“Well you see Rarity I... oh how do I put this? Umm you see recently I have gotten letters from someone who goes by the name secret admirer and recently they said that they loved me, also that it was a mare, and I just don’t know how I should handle the situation and I kinda thought that since you borrow so many romance novels from the library I thought that you might know what to do or how I should handle this.”

Rarity listened with big eyes she got very interested once she heard what this ‘problem’ that Twilight was talking about, was her favorite subject to talk about.

“Well Twilight you should start by being calm and not stress about the situation. The last thing that this secret admirer wants is to stress you out, I think, did she by chance write something that might give you a clue on who it was or if she had any plans on meeting you face-to-face soon?”

Twilight thought about it for a moment.

“Well she did say that it was the next to the last letter she would send under the name secret admirer, she also wrote that she was preparing for the next one what ever that means, otter than that she relay did not write anything else.”

Hearing a small whistling sound coming from the oven Rarity filled their cups with tea, which Twilight started to sip on almost as soon Rarity moved the teapot away.

“Careful daring it’s hot.” Rarity said while Twilight plew on the liquid to make it cooler faster.

“Any way dear, by the sound of it it sounds like she will reveal her name when she feels ready which by the sound of it should be rather soon. So just be patient deer, no need to stress.” Rarity said while sipping little by little on her tea.

“I guess you are right, I should really try to calm myself down from time to time, it was just that I have never experienced something like this before so I was just a little scared, thanks anyway Rarity.”

Twilight finished up her cup of tea and started to walk out.

“Oh and by the way Rarity.”

Rarity looked up from the table.

“How come you did not come to pick up your book yourself yesterday? were you really that busy?”

Rarity looked at Twilight with a confused look on her face.

“Whatever are you talking about Twilight? Last time I borrowed a book from the library was quite some time ago. Yesterday I helped Rainbow out with her little problems, which I pinkie promised to not say a word about.”

Now it was Twilight’s turn to look confused.

“But Rainbow came to the library saying that you wanted her to pick up Golden Girl for you because you were so busy.”

Now Rarely understood.

“Oh now I see what's going on, sorry Twilight but I can’t talk about it but if you would be so kind and write down the borrowing fee on Rainbow I would appreciate it.”

Twilight just opened the door and started walking out.

“Sure Rarity and thanks for the tea.”

Closing the door and starting to walk towards Applejack’s stand to pick up the apples and other groceries she thought to herself.

“Odd, why would Rainbow borrow Golden Girl? Hmm oh well I guess I’ll find out some other day. For now I have my own things to take care of.”
