The Mysterious Letter

Another week passed by with not anything really happening and Twilight was enjoying a peaceful afternoon with one of her favorite books which was Starswirld the bearded biography.

While reading the book she could hear Spike occasionally laugh from the comic he was reading.

She but the book down and headed for the kitchen to get herself a nice cup of tea, that was the plan anyway what she did not expect was a chaos god sitting down at the table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee.

“Discord?” Twilight said with a bit of a shock in her tone.

“Hmm? oh finally you come to say hello to a old friend.” Discord says while snapping the newspaper and coffee mug away. Now facing Twilight he snaps with his fingers one more time and a small note appear in his hands.

“Anyways the reason i'm here is to deliver this note to you.” He said before he snapped with his fingers one more time before he was gone leaving behind the note. Using her magic to lift the note up she sat down at the table and started reading it.

Dear Twilight

I Am now ready to show myself and i want to have a picnic on a hill on the outskirts of Ponyville.

Sorry about the messenger if he did something wrong or rude, i wanted to go to you and ask you to this picnic myself but that would ruin the surprise.

Anyways i will be waiting on the hill tomorrow at 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

P.S. I hear it is going to be a bit chilly tomorrow so some thing to keep you warm would be good, don’t worry i’ll bring some hot chocolate.

“HIIIIIYA Get away from Twilight you-” a purple dragon came rushing through the door with a broom in his claws flailing it like a spear, making a few of the dishes fall to the floor.

“Spike what are you doing?” Twilight asked putting the note down on the kitchen table.

“I heard you yell Discord’s name so i thought you were in trouble or that he was going to kidnap you and take over Equestria” spike said calming himself slowly down.

“Well Discord was here, but just to deliver this note from this mysterious pony who like’s me, she just asked me to meet her tomorrow at 5 o’clock on a hill not far from Ponyville.” Twilight said lifting the note up and showing it to Spike.

Looking at the note Spike puts it back on the table and goes back to reading his comics.

Twilight on the other hoof was wondering on the note she received from Discord, and she needed to take a little walk around town to clear her head.

While walking around Ponyville Twilight was wondering over who her date for the next day would be.

Hearing a rumble from her stomach, Twilight heads towards Ponyville’s cafe.

Turning the corner of the cafe she could see Fluttershy sitting on the outside part of the restaurant, she had a cup of what looked like tea in front of her but that was not all.

A dark gray pegasus stallion with brown hair sat with her drinking what looked like a cup of coffee, they looked like to have a good time so Twilight decided to eat at one of Ponyville’s lesser known restaurants.

After having a few hayburgers in a small diner a little walk outside of Ponyville. Twilight decided to take a small walk through the park just to think about what surprises tomorrow might bring.

Walking in to the park Twilight starts to think about who this mare she was meeting tomorrow might be. Other than her friends she hasn't been talking to a lot of other pony’s around Ponyville. She knew Lyra and BonBon but she knew they were together so it could not have been any of them.

Twilight started to think about her friends and started to think what if it was any of them?

What if she went up to that hill and saw one of her friends sitting there waiting for her.

At that moment she saw Fluttershy sitting together with that same stallion she was talking to at the cafe earlier. Twilight did not recognise this stallion, she might have see him somewhere but wasn’t exactly sure. As she was walking up to them she heard a loud voice call out to her.

“TWILIGHT!” said a pink bouncing pony.

“Oh hello Pinkie how are you” Twilight said turning around to face the pink party pony.

“Oh i’am fine just absolutely positively fine, i just got a raise from the Cake’s and i also got the rest of the day of so i thought why not take a jump through the park. And wouldn't you know it i jump right in to one of my best friends.” Pinkie looked in the direction that Twilight was looking before she approached her.

“Oh is that Fluttershy and Lightning? They seem to have a good time. oh well  might jump over there after i heard how your day, or when was the last time i saw you?” Pinkie stopped to bounce for a second to gather her thoughts.

“Oh now i remember i saw you last week, you came in to sugarcube corner after you had a talk with Rarity at her boutique if i’am not mistaken. Somethin bout a note you have gotten from some one right?”

Twilight looked at Pinkie with a stunned expression on her face.

“Yes i seem to have a secret admirer and he sent me another note today saying she want’s to meet me tomorrow. Only problem is i have no idea who she is, all i know is that she is a mare and a pegasus. Pinkie you couldn't happen to know any fillyfooler that are pegasi could you?

Pinkie stopped to think again and sat there in her thoughts for nearly five minutes straight until she started talking again.

“Well i know for a fact that Dashie is one but i don’t think she is interested in you. And i’am not sure about Fluttershy but i don’t think she is one, there are around four thousand ponies in Ponyville Twilight you can expect me to know everyponys name but not thair sexualety. Sorry but i really have no clue.”

Pinkie stood up and started to bounce away from Twilight.

“But now i have to go i was going to see if Dashie was up for a few pranks today. It was fun talking to you Twilight see you soon.”

And with that she was gone.

Twilight just stared off in the direction in which pinkie had bounced away from. And when she finally came to her senses she started to make her way home.

Coming to the conclusion that she just had to wait and see who this admirer was.

When she got home Spike was asleep with a comic book covering his face and a half empty glass of milk next to him.

With her magic she lifted Spike up to his bed while feeling quite exhausted her self and finishing putting the the books back in the shelfs and walking back up to her bedroom where Spike was snoring at this point.

Twilight did not do this every time Spike snored but that was because she often fell asleep herself before that time.

She powered her horn up and put a mute spell on Spike that would last at least two hours. More than enuf time to fall asleep.

Looking up at the ceiling just before the shadows of sleep took hold of her she wondered about this mare she was meeting tomorrow.

She quickly showed these thoughts out of her head and want to sleep.
