Chapter one: Surprises.
Hey, name’s Logan. I'm just gonna summarize my description; Tall, deep voice, medium length brown hair, green eyes, I'm Caucasian, and I'm a Brony. I’ve had a pretty rough week, but you don’t wanna hear me mope around. But if you do, then stick around. Recently, I found out my girlfriend, Amanda, had been cheating on me with a guy named Grimlock, and she later broke up with me. So, I moved out of Nevada, and moved to live in South Carolina, Buford to be exact. But, when I got there, I was met by my family, who didn't welcome me with warm arms. My mom had tears in her eyes, and she said "Logan... It's Daniel. He's been shot from a drive by shooting." But that was crazy, my twin brother didn't live anywhere near a bad neighborhood, and didn't have anyone who hated him!
Needless to say, I couldn't hold in anymore pain. My girlfriend, the one girl I trusted the most with my secrets, the one who truly understood and knows me, cheated on me with some low-life, and broke my heart... Now, my brother's been shot, luckily still alive, but from what Mom said about what the doctor told her, Daniel was going to die of lead poisoning from the bullet lodged in his chest, around his appendix. It didn't take long, and my brother died from the bullet, after a couple weeks of agonizing pain for him. At his funeral... I don't know who cried, who wept for his death, because I didn't show up. I couldn't show up, the last time I saw him, was before I moved out to Nevada five years ago, when I told him "Well, I'm sorry Mr. "Perfect life"! But I can't always be so happy like you! Why don't you do something sad for once, like die!?"
Thing is though, I didn't mean it, I was drunk(most likely) and i had been angry at my brother. But, like I said, I didn't go to his funeral, mainly because I couldn't face him, not for what I said. I hung out at a bar, and afterwards walked to my house, to find the moving truck arriving. I didn't have much furniture, so it didn't take long for the moving truck to come and go. I had only a couple of really big pieces of furniture; my living room couch, T.V, Computer desk, and my bed. I had to sell everything else in order to be able to pay the moving company for taking my stuff from Lyon County, Nevada, all the way to Buford, South Carolina.
Anyways, I didn't want to stay away that day, so I went straight for my bed, and tried to fall asleep. Luckily, I found out, when was younger, that I cold fall asleep fast, but I was a light sleeper. I remember my dream so easily; I was in Equestria, the Anthro-verse, running around with my favorite ponies, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, Trixie, and even Sunset Shimmer and Cherry Jubilee! I was running around with them, just going to have a fun time with them, but soon that almost got out of hand (if you catch my drift). I woke up, awoken at five in the morning from what sounded like fire crackers and lightning. I went out to my living room, to look out the window to see if any kids were running off somewhere. No one, not a single person. I sighed, and then turned back, and when my eyes caught the sight of my couch, I was amazed. There was a hat on my couch, one I didn't buy nor own.
It was a familiar Stetson, far too familiar! I-I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was far more confused then I should've been. I wasn't drunk, because I didn't have a hangover, and I never smoked any form of drug that would get you high. I... I slapped myself to make sure I was awake, I did everything; slapped myself, rub my face with water, heck I even did fifty jumping jacks to wake myself up! I was dead awake, heart pumping, my eyes completely opened! I went back outside into my living room, only to find the Stetson still there. "What're you doing here?" I asked the hat. I started to walk towards it, but when I realized I was walking slowly towards a hat and asked it a question, I facepalmed. I proceeded to walk over to the hat, and I picked it up, and examined it. To be honest, the hat was in great condition.
I felt like trying it on, so I did exactly that; I tried the hat on! It didn't fit my huge head, go figure. So, I turned to my chair, and threw the hat onto there. The Stetson landed dead on the cushion. I turned to go sit on the couch, but I saw something else on the couch, something sleeping.
It was a small orange filly, with a blonde mane and tail, both moving up and down as she breathed. Her man and tail had little ties on them, red ties that made small parts look a bit like pony tails. I can't believe who it was... It was Applejack, from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. My favorite pony, the most underappreciated character in the fandom at some times, was in my living room, sleeping on my couch as a baby. I couldn't believe it, but I wanted to believe it.
I thought about it, as I watched the filly now shiver. I decided I'd take her to my room, so she could sleep in my bed, a warmer place for her to be in. I picked her up, she seemed to be incredibly light. She was so warm, so peaceful, when I picked her up as well. It was a loving moment for me, and I smiled at her, and she gave out a cute little yawn. I walked over to my room, hoping I wouldn't wake her up, but I did. It was when I opened my bedroom door, and the hinges made a squeaking sound. "Oh no," I began to think, knowing Applejack might wake up and cry.
But she didn't cry, she fluttered her eyes open and looked at me, with a warm and happy smile. Applejack giggled at me, and began nibbling on my sleep shirt, with her toothless mouth. I couldn't help but say "D'aaawwww." at her, and then realized that she was wide awake now. I closed my bedroom door with my left hand, as I held her with my right arm, and went back out to the living room.
When I arrived in my living room, I picked up the Stetson on the chair, and placed Applejack in the hat's place. "You stay here, Applejack," I began to tell her as I set her down on the chair, and put the Stetson on one of the chair's arms, "I'm gonna go get you something to eat." I then walked into the kitchen, and opened the fridge to see what I had.
I looked through what I had; some lettuce, milk, apples, and carrots. I began to think what would be good for a baby Earth pony, but realized I couldn't feed her, on account most of these needed teeth, and I didn't have a bottle for her to drink the milk. I heard giggles coming from the living room, and I left the kitchen. When I was back in the living room, I saw something that was too adorable. Applejack was wearing the Stetson, which was as big as her. I didn't want to forget this, so I took a camera I had, and snapped a quick picture of the scene before me.
After taking the picture, I put the camera down, and then walked over and to pick up Applejack. When I picked her up this time, Applejack giggled even more, which warmed my heart. I walked over and sat on the couch, placing Applejack on my lap, and turned on the T.V. On TV was nothing good at all, so I decided to put in a DVD of one of my favorite shows, Doctor Who. It was an amazing episode, with Christopher Eccelston as The Doctor. I put in one of my favorite episodes, one of the best in my opinion. It was the sixth episode of this season; Season 1 Episode 6: Dalek, and he was now conversing with the last Dalek in the universe.
Applejack looked at the TV, and tried to speak, but what came out was "Ada! Ada!" which I guess was "Wow!" said twice.
I chuckled a bit, and said "He's The Doctor, the man with short hair. He's one of the best heroes of the universe!" as I rubbed Applejack's head. We watched the entire episode, and proceeded through watching the entire season, up till the last episode. Applejack had fallen asleep on me, snoring a bit in her sleep. "Can you not stop being adorable?" I asked the filly, knowing she wouldn't understand me if she was awake, thankfully I didn't wake her up again.
