The Broken Promise
"I hope you two keep crusading up there. I will too down here, but it it's not the same without you, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom.
I will make you guys proud, Pinkie Promise."
"AAAAHHHH!"
She had another nightmare about the day that she'll never forget. She promised to her fellow crusaders that she would them proud by earning finally earning her cutie mark.
The mare rose up to sit in her bed. Her coat was soaking of sweet and her heart was racing. She felt an immense pain in her head.
She rubbed her hooves against her fore head, eyes closed.
"Ahh." she moaned with a weak voice. "My head."
Her mane was a mess, she looked extremely sleepy and her white coat was full of stains. Puke, blood and chocolate

The mare observed her bedroom, it was a mess. Liquor bottles everywhere, dryed up puke stains and plastic bags with feces and urine.

You pathetic little shit. What do you think you're doing? You promised remember? You've dissapointed us.

She stood up from her dirty bed, feeling pain in her entire body.
"Urgh, maybe a little drink will help some." she said with an exasperated face.
The mare walked up to her kitchen with a lot of pain, opened the fridge and took a bottle whisky out with her mouth.
The kitchen was also a mess. The whole sink was full of dirty dish and the smell that hung around the kitchen was hideous. But she didn't care. At all.
The mare walked to her dirty sofa and collapsed onto the it.
She opened the bottle of whisky and took a sip.

Another sip and another and another.
"That helps." still with a weak voice.
The mare looked around her the her dirty house when suddenly a scroll appeared out of no where.
"Wow." she said with a uninterested voice. "A letter for me?"
She pulled the bow around the scroll loose and started reading.
'Dear Sweetie Belle,
I've recently heard about your current situation and I am willing to help. Please just come to the library as soon as possible, since you won't open your door.
Twilight Sparkle.'
"Not interested."

You anger us. You useless sack of garbage. Don't you see that this isn't normal? Get off your ass and do something with your life.

Sweetie Belle didn't know what time it was, curtains covered all her windows.
The mare let out a deep sigh and took a big gulp from the bottle of whisky.
After a while she fell asleep on the sofa, drunk.
After a few hours of sleeping she woke up from somepony knocking loudily at the door.
"Sweetie Belle! Please open the door, we want to help you!"
Sweetie Belle didn't answer.
"Sweetie, it's me Twilight Sparkle and I have Applejack here with me! I beg you, let us help you!"
The still uninterested unicorn still layed, drunk on her sofa. Not answering Twilight.
"She won't answer, do it."
A sudden loud thud came from her door.
"Keep going!"
Sweetie didn't have the power to even say something about it.
And another thud, and another, after a while the door finally was kicked open.
Sweetie Belle saw two ponies enter the dark room. Looking around them.
One of them turned the light of the living room on and Sweetie Belle was blinded by the bright light and held her hooves for her eyes.
Twilight gasped when she looked around the messy room and gasped again when she saw the messed up mare laying the sofa.
Twilight ran to her, followed by Applejack and both sat on their knees on the by the sofa.
"Sweetie Belle....what..what happened to you?! Applejack asked, shocked by the look of her and her house.
"W-what are.....you....talking...about?"
Twilight and Applejack looked at each other with a frown and looked back at the drunken unicorn.
"Ah'm talking about you, locking yourself in your house fer days, drinking alcohol all day, making a mess off yer house, what caused this?" Applejack said with a concerned voice.
"It-it's long story......it's a...bit......hard to tell w-while drunk." she managed to respond.
"Sweetie Belle." Twilight began. "We want to help you, so can I take you to back to my place for a while to fix you up? We'll have somepony clean up your house meanwhile."
Sweetie simply nodded and soon fell asleep.
"Ah'll carry her. Look for something to cover her up, shes a mess."
It was a cold winter morning, but the temperature in the library was just perfect.
Sweetie Belle opened her eyes and found herself laying in a strange bed.
She was finally completely sober, her body looked clean as a whistle and she didn't feel any pain. It felt good, but that wasn't enough to get her life back.

Sweetie yawned and looked outside the window for a while. After quite some time she finally got out of bed and got out of the guest room.
As she walked down the stairs she saw a familiar pony sitting at the table, along with Twilight.
It was her older sister, Rarity.
"Sweetie Belle!" she yelled and trotted to her younger sister and gave her a tight hug. "Why didn't you let me know of your situation? I want to be there for my sis, even though I live in Canterlot now."
"I'm a bit cocky, I guess."
"Are you ready to tell us your what happened to you?" Rarity asked, letting go of her sister.
"Yeah."
She took a seat at the table, opposite from Rarity and Twilight and sighed.
"It began about a week ago........"
"After another failed attempt of a cutie mark, I got depressed and started drinking. It didn't help, it even got worse. I started hearing the voices of Scootaloo and Apple Bloom in my head and I still do, even when I'm sober. They keep reminding me of a promise I made fifteen years ago. I promised that I would go on crusading in my own, but they say that I broke the promise, because I've given up. I've also been having nightmares every night. Always about that day that I made that promise.
I began drinking even more after a while. I got tired of those voices and those horrible nightmares, but the voices came more often and my nightmares got even worse, so that wasn't a good idea. I was addicted, so I just couldn't stop. Right now, I do actually long for a sip of whisky."
Twilight Sparkle and Rarity looked at Sweetie Belle with a open mouth in disbelief.
After a few seconds, Rarity shook her head as she came back to reality.
"Sweetie Belle, I-I don't know what to say."
"I think you should go see a doctor about those voices, maybe you could get some medication for it." Twilight said.
"And go into rehab." Rarity added.
Sweetie Belle sighed, "Hmm, I don't know."
"But Sweetie, don't you wan't your normal life back?" Rarity asked, on the brink of bursting out in tears.

She sighed, "Yes, but I can't tell a doctor, they'll want to lock me up for ever for the voices in my head."
Twilight looked at her in confusion, "What are you talking about silly? Ofcourse not." she said with a comforting voice.
She felt anger going through her body and groaned.
"I'm outta here! I don't your help! She yelled and ran to the front door.
"Sweetie wait!" Rarity yelled after her but she was gone.

Chapter 2
I can't go home, they know where I live. I need to stay somewhere else for a while, but where?......Aha! The old Cutie Mark Crusaders clubhouse, well, if it's still in a good condition
She ran as fast as she could trough the cold wind to the private part of Sweet Apple Acres. The unicorn still knew the way after all these years.
She ran through the little forest, evading all the trees. Through the trees, she could see the roof the the clubhouse.
When it was in full sight, her jaw fell open from what she was staring at.
The clubhouse was still in perfect condition. She stood there for a while panting of all the running. When she catched enough breath the unicorn carefully walked up the ramp of the clubhouse and opened the door with her horn.
Sweetie Belle was again, amazed by the perfect condition of inside of the clubhouse.
Good memories invaded Sweetie Belle's mind.
The talent show.
It felt good.
She sat down on the bed that was in the corner.
"We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders, on a quest to found to find out who we are. And we will never stop the journey, not until we have our cutie marks." she sang quietly.
A tear of joy rolled down her cheek. Finally some good memories of Scootaloo and Apple Bloom.
"They say that you will get your mark when the time is really right and you know what you're supposed to do and your talent comes to light, but it's not as easy as it sounds and the waiting is hard to do, so we test our talents everywhere, until our face is blue."

Sweetie Belle layed on the bed in the corner. The bed sheets were most likely changed by Applejack from time to time, Sweetie guessed. They smelled and felt like new. Sweetie Belle was shivering, it was cold, so she got under the bed sheet. It was still morning, but she was tired and fell asleep in no time.

It was cold, very cold. The smell was disgusting. But the pain was the worst.
"Hello Sweetie Belle. So here we are. You are too late, we warned you, but you wouldn't listen." Her voice echoed trough the room.
She stepped back and Sweetie recognized her immediately.
"S-scootal-loo." she said with a weak voice.
Sweetie Belle barely had the power to talk or keep her eyes open. She observed the room around her and found herself nailed at the wall trough her hooves. Her hooves were full of her own blood, which also dripped to the big puddle of blood on the floor.
Her eyes fell on Scootaloo again. She was also grown up, covered with blood and a big smile on her face. Her cutie mark was a knife with blood on it.
The orange pegasus chuckled.
"Well, that is what I used to be called, I listen to the name Red Liquid now. Let me introduce you to my partner. Honey! I have a present for you!"
Sweetie Belle heard hooves coming from the stairs next to her seconds later.
"Ohh, that's really nice of ya Liquid." It was Apple Bloom also grown up. Her cutie mark was a fractured bone and also has a big smile on her face.
Apple Bloom stood in front of the bloody, shocked unicorn. Still with a big smile on her face.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Sweetie Belle. Nice to see ya, Ah'm Bone Fracture, know to you as Apple Bloom."
Sweetie held her head down and coughed up blood and looked up at Fracture again.
"W-what....are....you two gonna d-do with....me?" she asked weakly, while blood came out of her mouth.
Liquid and Fracture chuckled and Liquid began talking. "You made us a promise remember? You didn't keep that and now, well, you are going to pay us back. With your life ofcourse, for our enjoyment."
"Hmm..Liquid, this turns mah on so badly."
They kissed each other again and then started licking of the face of one another.
Sweetie Belle gagged from the look of it.
They stopped and Fracture started talking again,
"AHHHH!" Sweetie Belle managed to get out and more blood came from her mouth.
"Nice one handsome." Liquid said and smacked Fracture on her flank. She moaned and then replied to back "Thanks, honey It's yer turn."
"Let's get a little more serious, shall we Fracture?"
"Mah pleasure."
Sweetie Belle still moaned from the pain in her stomach as Liquid came up with a hacksaw.
"N-no....please" she managed to get out.
Red Liquid ignored her and started to saw through the unicorn's horn.
After a while of screaming and pain, the horn was cut in half. Sweetie Belle hung her head down and cryed while the two were kissing each other on the floor with their hooves rubbing in each other's private parts and moaning.
Suddenly, Bone Fracture stopped and stood up from Red Liquid. She licked her lips and helped Liquid up.
"Ah believe it is mah turn."
"It sure is, handsome."
"N-n-no, please, I-I'll do anything." Sweetie begged them with a high, weak voice.
"It's too late for that Sweetie Belle." Liquid quickly replied.
"Oooh! A baseball bat!" Fracture excitedly yelled from the table full of tools.
She turned over trotted up to Sweetie Belle and hit her hard in her private area.
"AAAAAAAHH!"
"More Fracture! More!"
She hit her again in the stomach.
Sweetie Belle vomited and blood followed.
"P-pllease ssstop"
But they didn't pay attention, Fracture layed on a table while Liquid licked her between the legs.
"Aww yea, Liquid, that's it."
After a while, it was time for more pain for Sweetie Belle.
"Now it's time for the real fun. Enjoy it Sweetie Belle." Liquid said and the licked her lips.
She picked up the hacksaw once again and walked over the broken mare.
"P-please k-k-kill me."
"Not yet."
She lowered down and started to saw through Sweetie Belle right hind leg.
More screaming followed and blood was flying everywhere.
Once she was done, she complimented her. "You're pretty tough, Sweetie Belle, you didn't even pass out."
The blood puddle became bigger and bigger and made Sweetie vomit again.
The two were again making love to each other, but now Fracture was the one licking.
"Ahhh, Fracture, amazing."
Minutes of pain, moaning and blood passed. It was time for more torture again.
"We should hurry up a bit, the next patient is waiting." Liquid said.
"Well, it's time for the grand finale, then. Will you join me?" Fracture asked with a huge smile.
"My pleasure."
They both picked up a machete and walked over to Sweetie Belle.
"End of the line, Sweetie Belle. Goodbye" Liquid said.
And so, they started chopping of every limb of the mare with a huge smile on their face.
The remains of Sweetie Belle lay in pieces on the floor and was being looked at by the two mares while they were having sex.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
A deafening scream came from the former Cutie Mark Crusader clubhouse.
"Oh thank Celestia, it was just a dream."
Sweetie Belle rose up to sit on the bed. She was soaking from the sweat and panting.
It was late in the afternoon when the unicorn woke up and even colder than this morning.
Sweetie Belle thought about her next move on her bed until the clubhouse door was kicked in.
"What are ya doin' in here!?" It was Applejack, she must have heard the scream. "Oh, it's you Sweetie Belle, thank goodness. Oh wait, what ARE you doin' in here? Didn't Twilight take you home with her?" She asked confused
The unicorn let the shock faint away for a moment.
"Well?"
"I sort of got into a fight with Twilight and my sis and ran away."
"About what? Don't worry, I won't tell anypony else. Pinkie Promise."
"I don't wanna talk about it." she looked away from the earth pony. "Please, just leave me alone."
Applejack sighed. "I can't let ya'll out here in this chill old clubhouse. Ya'll really can't be left alone in yer current situation. Please, just stay with me at the barn."

Sweetie Belle collapsed onto the floor and banged her against the floor.
Applejack trotted over to the unicorn, stopped her from banging her head and sat her down on the bed.
"Don't do that! Now, what do ya'll mean with you said?"
Sweetie Belled tried to stand up, but Applejack stopped her.
Sweetie sighed as she wiped the blood from the wound on her forehead. "I hear voices in my head and I CAN'T MAKE IT STOP!!!"
"Voices in yer head? What do they say?" Applejack looked at her with concern.
The unicorn sighed again and started to explain again. "I hear the voices of Scootaloo and Apple Bloom in my head. They say all kinds of things, like that I betrayed them. You see, I made a promise fifteen years ago. I promised that I would go on crusading here and well, after a huge dissapointment left after another try for a cutie mark. I got depressed and then the voices suddenly came."
Applejack looked at her, flabber-gasted and then shook her head, just like Twilight and Rarity.
"Why didn't ya ask fer help? This is really serious business." Applejack asked, concerned.
"I wanted to solve it on my own and I will. I accepted Twilight's help, but I shouldn't have, I don't need help." The unicorn snarled back.
She used her horn levitate the earth pony and trew her to the other side other the room.
"Don't even think about coming after me!" she yelled angry as she ran out the clubhouse.
Applejack stood up and wiped the dust of her coat and sighed.
Sweetie Belles ran through the forest as hard as she could, the chilly wind blowing in her coat.
Ugh, where can I go now........
She ran, but didn't know where to go.
After a long search of a safe place, where she could hide from the ponies trying to find her, she finally found it. A abandonned shed just a few minutes into the Everfree forest. It was already dark when Sweetie Belle found the shed and cold, very cold.
She sat in the corner anxiously looking at the door to check if anypony entered. The shed was completely empty, but she didn't care, they couldn't find her here.
Sweetie Belle really longed for a glass of whisky, but the fear and the voices replaced it most of the time.

Her anger took over her body and banged her head against the wall. She had enough.
*Bang!*
"STOP IT!!!" The unicorn yelled as hard as she could
*Bang!*
The blood dripped of her head, but she didn't feel anything.

Sweetie Belle banged her head multiple times at the wall with all the power she had. The blood was spreading all across her face and dripped on the floor.
The mare did it one more time with her last power and lost control of her body. She stumbled around the room and fell on the ground with a hard thump. Sweetie Belle was unconscious.

Everything suddenly turned white, there was no sound at all. There was...nothing.
"Where am I?"
She gasped as she heard her own voice and gasped again when she looked at her own body.
Sweetie Belle was a filly once again. There were no voices in her head, no longering for alcohol, no pain. It was great.
"Sweetie Belle, welcome."
Suddenly a tower high gate appeared in front of the filly and open up.
"Come in."
She walked through the gate, no questions asked and closed once the little unicorn came through.
Suddenly the white dissapeared and a endless grass field appeared.
She gaized at the beautiful land shape in front of her. It was a small village there were trees, playing kids, flowers, birds houses, shops. It looked amazing, even though it was pretty simple.
"Is-is this....the afterlife?" she asked with her head looking at the sky.
"Yes, it is my dear. One of the many." it was a female voice, a friendly sounding one.
"Let me explain.
It is just like real life here, but you can't die. You do get older, but once your reach the maximum age, you will simply start over. There is pain, but everything heals much quicker here. All emotions can be felt, just like real life.
Sweetie Belle looked to her left side, then to the right. She had wings. Then felt forehead and also felt her horn.
"If there is any more you want to know, just ask me."
Out of nowhere two fillies were running in her direction.
"No way!" she yelled and ran as fast as she could to her two friends. Once she got close enough she jumped at them and fell together on the grassfield.
"Scootaloo, Apple Bloom!"
"Sweetie Belle!" they both yelled in unison.
The two looked exactly like they did fifteen years ago. Nothing has changed.
Quickily after they stood up and group hugged.
"We're so glad to see you! We saw what you were going through Sweetie, but everything is fine now." Scootaloo said with a tear of joy rolling down her cheek.
"Yeah, very good to see ya Sweetie Belle, hope your look at us hasn't changed since that weird dream and those voices in yer head. Those weren't weren't really us." Applebloom explained, also in tears
Sweetie Belle chuckled. "No ofcourse not. Really, really happy to see you two by the way." she burst in to tears of extreme happiness.
"Ah'm so, so sorry for killing myself back there Sweetie. I truely hope you can forgive me." Applebloom said, a bit ashamed
"I'm also very sorry for doing going down that hill Sweetie. I also truely hope you can forgive me too."
Sweetie held her two friends even tighter. "Don't worry about that girls. Everything is alright. "

Back in Equestria everything was fine again. Everypony got over Sweetie Belle's death and moved on with their lives.
Sweetie Belle misses her friends and family back in Equestria, but is happy to see that everypony's doing okay again and maybe meet once again right here.

Two ponies, somewhere, sometime.
"Liquid, Ah wanna tell ya something important."
"What is it Fracture?"
Red Liquid and Bone Fracture lay in their bed cuddling up beside each other.
"Well, uhmm....Ah thought maybe we should quit this killin' and uh....spent more time with each other, other than the torturin' and makin' love to each other between each turn."
"No way! I was actually building up courage to tell you that same things for weeks now!"
"So uhm... do ya wanna quit?"
"Yeah."
"Me too."
They kissed for hours and had slept asleep thinking that did finally something good.
Tommorow was the first day of their new lifes.

Hoofsteps followed and a voice screamed outside.
"HEY.......SHE..........THE SHED........YES, RIGHT HERE......HURRY.......BEFORE......LATE!!!!
Vague other voices followed seconds later.
"SIS.......I'M.......FOR YOU!!"
"I CAN'T BELIEVE.........FOUND HER...........I LOVE.......THINGS.......NOT MORE.....EATING CUPCAKES.....STILL.......GOOD!"
".....PIE......SO RANDOM"
Hoofsteps inside followed and then more vague words.
"......Must........hospital.....immediately."
"Let's.....then!
"We are the Cutie Mark Crusades on a quest to find out who we are and we will never stop the journey. Not until we have our cutie marks."
"Do you have a problem with blank flanks?"
"Today's tha day Cutie Mark Crusaders, ah can just feel it!"
"No! Not the cupcakes, trust me."
"Are you sure about this Scootaloo? I've never heard of a pony zip lining before."
"Somepony needs ta put this thing out of it's misery."
"That is not how you call a chicken."
"We'll use our cutie marks to rock Equestria. We'll use are stomach to digestia?"
"These namby pamby stories aren't getting us closer to our cutie marks!"
"Dumb fabric."
"There's not much we can do from this room, unless we become Cutie Mark Crusaders cottage cleaners.
"So ah was thinking, now that we're friends. I mean, we are friends right?"
"Break....leg!
