Chapters Chapter 1: Silver Spoon
"I didn't want to hurt them, I only wanted to kill them."
~ David Berkowitz (AKA The 44. Caliber Killer)
***
Life is great, I have a loving family, two of the best friends anyone could ask for and ponies who care about me. There is only one problem, or two. One is Diamond Tiara, a rich snob who torments and bullies all who oppose her. She made Applebloom cry yesterday. Then there is Silver Spoon, she is just as horrible, she would torture me, Scootaloo and Applebloom everyday. She was just a big bully with no regard for anypony around her, just like Diamond Tiara.
Sometimes I think, maybe the world would be better if they were dead. They do nothing to help or support anything! Those spoiled brats get whatever they want while they torture me and my friends! IT’S NOT FAIR!
They could be gone with two simple slices of a knife. It’s not like I want to kill anypony. I just want to rid the world of something made of pure evil. If they were gone then I wouldn’t- No, WE wouldn’t have to deal with their snobby antics. One time I asked Scootaloo and Applebloom if they thought the same, Applebloom seemed shocked and Scootaloo thought I should get “help” as she calls it.
I decided on what I needed to do, and Silver Spoon was first.
I pack my saddle bag for school today. I put all the essentials: pens, pencils, books et. cetera, but I add something extra. One of Rarity’s large kitchen knives, it seems sharp enough. Definitely sharp enough to cut a throat.
Now don’t think I am stupid. I know the risks. If I am to be caught, they’ll probably kill me, but I have a plan. Similar to the little trick we did with Babs Seed a while back. Oh I remember that one thoroughly: we tempted her with something she couldn’t resist, and if we hadn’t stopped she would be the laughingstock of the town.
Now that I think about it, ponies will think these abominations are angels when I am finished. Can you believe that? An angel! If anything those two little brats were sent from the deepest pits of Tartarus to belittle innocent ponies. Another thought just crossed my mind, I am not really killing them, I am simply sending them back home.
I arrive the entrance of the schoolhouse, where, to my joy, I am greeted by my two best friends. To my dismay, Appleblooms eyes are bloodshot and tears stream down her face. I let out a gasp before running to hug my distressed friend.
“Applebloom, what happened!?” Strange, my voice seems much deeper in my head. Scootaloo looked really mad, but her eyes showed sympathetic sadness.
Scootaloo speaks up, her voice fueled with rage, “Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, that’s what happened.” See what I mean? I am removing those two because of stuff like this! I put my hoof over my mouth acting like I was surprised, but really I should have expected this. I did feel extreme sadness for my friend- I still am Sweetie Belle, that sensitive little filly with a high pitched voice- even though I am about to murder two foals.
Applebloom sobs again, which melts my heart. “What did they do?” I ask, tears dripping from my eyes.
“T-they t-told m-me that I was the r-reason m-my ma died, during c-childbirth!” She stutters almost every word, sobbing as she does. All my sympathy disappears. It is replaced with pure rage. They are so dead!

Classes go as they usually do: boring lectures, class games, et. cetera. I pay no heed to what the teacher is saying, my complete attention is on Silver Spoon, she looks over several times with a glare or confused stare. I can tell that she is beginning to get creeped out. Good. Fear is my best weapon, after Rarity’s knife in my saddle bag.
The bell rang and we are dismissed for recess, I can’t wait! Only one hour until we get out of school! I sit in one of the corners of the schoolyard, eagerly awaiting my friends, but instead I am greeted by an annoyed Silver Spoon, I smile and nod to her.
“Why do you keep staring at me, blank flank!?” I simply nod and smile again. She seems to get angry. She gets only inches from my face and starts to hiss hateful words at me.
“Tell me why!”
I smile before standing on all four hooves. I tap her nose and reply.
“You will find out soon enough.” I walk away with a smug grin on my face.
***
Classes ended and it’s time to enact my plan.
“Oh, Silver Spoon!” I yell across the playground. I catch her attention and she glares at me, but widens her eyes when she sees what I am holding in my hooves. One of Rarity’s breathtakingly huge gems- she really had a talent for locating priceless jewels. I trot closer until i’m no more than two feet away.
“W-where did you get that?” She stares at the marvellous gem in my hooves, wide eyed and out of breath.
I smile, this is my chance. “Oh this?” I hold it up closer to her, “I got it as a gift, I was thinking I would go and skip it like a rock in the lake by the Everfree.” I grin innocently.
Her jaw drops. “Y-you can't do that!” My grin falters, as I glare at her.
“Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?” she lunges forward, trying to snatch the gem. I easily side step. I start to run, and she follows, sprinting as fast as her little legs could handle.
I saw a dark alley. Perfect. I run straight in. I turn a corner and run right in to a dead end and rotate to look behind me. There she is, smiling smugly.
“No where to run! Now, hand it over!” she says.
I smile and reply in the most calm voice I can muster.
“Come and get it.”
She starts to close in on me. I grab my saddlebag with one hoof and place it on the ground next to me. I turn my back to her and place my head in the saddlebag, my mouth wrapping around the handle of the knife, gripping it tightly. I “accidently” drop the gem just behind me.
I hear her dash forward, most certainly going for the gem. The closer she approached, the tighter I hold the knife between my teeth. Time seems to slow as the footsteps grow further apart. Once she’s close enough, I spin toward Silver Spoon as quick as I can. I look to see what damage I created. Silver Spoon has a large gash, beginning at the top of forehead and continuing over her nose and ending half way through her right cheek. Blood started to pour from the cut, but I still wasn’t finished.
She inhales deeply, about to scream. I tackle her to the ground. I stick my hoof in her mouth while I stab her repeatedly in the chest, each time I do I hear a satisfying rip. Each stab going deep in her chest, blood spurting out of each hole the knife creates. A blood pool starts to form around the grisly scene. I put the blade in her chest one last time, before removing it and finishing her off with a quick slice to the throat.
I stare down at my victim, her chest ripped open, exposing organs and ribs. The blood spewing everywhere, most of which emanates from her throat. The large slice in her throat opened her neck enough to see a torn trachea. I smile evilly and pack up my equipment. One down one to go.
I had to sneak through town, considering I was covered in blood. I have a shower and go straight to bed.
I have a hunch there won't be school tomorrow.
Chapter 2: Brink Of Insanity
***
They still haven’t found the body yet, which is surprising. As I eat breakfast with my sister, I wonder if they will wait until after school or interrupt our classes and send us home. I am fine with either, but I would much rather be dismissed early. Not because I don't like school, I just want to finish the job sooner so to speak.
I hug my sister and collect my saddle bag, which is already packed. As I walk out the door of the Boutique, I was greeted by the rest of the crusaders, they were all smiling a mile wide at me, we happily trotted over to the school grounds.they kept staring at me for some reason, they looked rather concerned by the way they were looking, this kept going on until I finally decided to find out what they were up to. “Is there a reason you guys keep staring at me?” they both exchanged knowing glances at each other before Scootaloo spoke up to answer my question.
“Sweetie, are you alright? You look kind of… messed up.” She didn’t just say that.
“I am fine, thank you very much,” I said. I don’t really want to talk to them at the moment, they just seem weirder than usual. Besides I need to think of a plan.
***
POV: Scootaloo
There is something wrong with Sweetie.
Me and Bloom were waiting for her, for about fifteen minutes. When she finally met up with us, she looked horrible! Her mane wasn’t combed it was all messy, her eyes were bloodshot and she had this creepy smile the whole time we were walking to school with her. Sweetie’s left eye kept twitching and she didn’t look at me or Bloom the entire walk. Not even when we asked her a question!
When she talked she had this weird pitch to it. She ended every sentence with a creepy laugh and another eye twitch.
I don't understand, she was perfect yesterday! Maybe she hit her head or had some sort of breakdown. I need to talk to Bloom about this. Sweetie needs some help. Before she gets herself hurt.
***
POV: Sweetie Belle
I have the perfect plan!
Why didn’t I think of this before? I just need to wait for class to be dismissed early! They might not tell the entire class that Silver Spoon was found dead, but I know they'll tell her best friend Diamond. When she's crying her eyes out on the park bench I'll be there waiting for her
***
POV: Diamond Tiara
UGH! Where is Silver Spoon!? She promised she would meet me at the school gates, if she skipped without me again, she will not hear the end of it. Classes were about to start, and she is nowhere to be found. I love that filly, but she is most annoying pony ever sometimes.
I may just go tease those blank flanks, or make Weepy Belle cry again. It just isn’t the same when she is not around.
Before the first break, something odd happened. Somepony knocked one the door of the classroom. I thought nothing of it. When Miss Cheerilee opened the door, there were two police stallions. They both looked positively dreadful! One looked like he had been crying and the bigger one had a stern look on his face.
“Ms. Cheerilee?” The larger one asked, he may have that tough look. But you can see the sorrow in his eyes. Jeez who died?
“Yes?” Cheerilee looked concerned. She was usually so happy and cheerful, now she seemed nervous. Maybe they are just here for Cheerilee.
“May we talk to you in private, it is about one of your students.” I wonder which one they're on about now.
Cheerilee made her way out of the class, yelling through the door for us to work. As soon as that door shut the class dropped what they were doing. They were curious too no doubt.
Maybe it was about Weepy Belle, she did look more awful than usual.
After about two minutes the door opened slowly, the police ponies were still there. Ms. Cheerilee’s eyes were bloodshot, and she was… crying? She walked lazily in front of the class and took a deep breath.
“C-class is dismissed for t-the day. No homework for the weekend either.” That’s when Cheerilee broke down, she curled up in a ball and began sobbing. Then there was a knocking on the door. The police officer opened it and there was… daddy?
The officer silenced him before he could rant, and dragged him outside. Thats when I noticed that everypony’s eyes were on me. I scoffed and gestured for them to leave. The officer removed his hat and bowed his head.
“Everypony leave except for,” He sighed. “Diamond Tiara.” Ugh! Can these losers stop staring at me and leave!? This is obviously personal. Eventually, all of my classmates left the room, my father had entered. As did the other officer. The officer gestured me to sit on a chair by Cheerilee’s desk. As I sat in the chair, they all gathered around me. Which made me more than uncomfortable.
“Diamond, we have some tragic news,” The officer stopped before continuing. “There is no good way to put this. Your friend, Silver Spoon. Somepony did something very bad to her.”
Okay, now i’m worried. “W-what?” I had tears welling up in my eyes, “What happened to her? Is she sick? Or hurt?” I stopped when my father placed a hoof on my shoulder.
“Silver Spoon was hurt very… badly.” He paused. “She was hurt so bad that she…” The officer stopped and turned to his friend.
“I can’t do this man!” The officer had tears welling up in his eyes. “This hasn’t happened in centuries! I can’t!” The other police pony sighed and walked closer to me. He bent down on one knee. He put a hoof on each of my shoulders and stared me in the eyes. His eyes were not only bloodshot, but they were filled with tears.
“Lil’ lady, your friend was hurt by another pony so bad that she,” He sighed before continuing. “she passed away.” I stared at him in shock. What is that supposed to mean!? He can’t be serious! NO! This can’t be happening! I buried my face into him and began to sob. I cried my eyes out, all the tears soaking into his neck fur.
“Please Celestia! I promise I won’t make fun of anypony ever again! Just bring her baaack! Please don’t do this to me, Celestia please!” The police pony held me tighter and whispered words into my ear.
“Shh Shh. It’s okay.” No it wasn’t. I cried harder by the second.
“NO! She was the only friend I had! She was the only friend I ever could have! It is not okay!” She was the only friend I had. How can I go on!? I loved her with all my heart, even if I didn’t show it at times! Now she’s gone.
Forever.

POV: Diamond Tiara
***
Why did she have to die!? She was such a good filly! Please Celestia, bring her back! She was my only friend. I can’t do this. I just need someone to talk to. I just sit under the big oak tree by my house, crying to myself.
“Hey Diamond!” Calls a high pitched voice. I turn to find Sweetie Belle. Her mane is a complete mess, and she has bloodshot eyes. I don’t answer. I just continue to cry.
“Listen, I am sorry to what happened to Silver. If it makes you feel any better, I have been crying too.” Honestly, it made me feel a bit better. She sits down beside me and puts a hoof around me. I don’t care who it was. I just need someone to help me through this. I nuzzle her and quietly sobbed into her coat. She rubs my mane over and over, saying kind words for comfort. It didn’t help at all.
“Come to the clubhouse, we all feel really sorry for you. It actually managed to get Scootaloo to cry,” she says. I could see a tear run down her cheek. I nod in reply. She nuzzled me the whole way there. It felt good to know she actually cared about me after I had been so horrible to her. I really hope we can be friends. We reach the clubhouse. It feels so welcoming, but it looks different; there are lots of decorations and a sign that says “keep out.” I also don’t remember there being a lock on the door. I guess it doesn’t matter; she's being far more than generous. I cried for a while more, and she kept rubbing my back and mane saying it will all be okay. I calmed down a bit, I’m still sobbing, but I can at least talk now.
“Sweetie, I just want to see her again, tell her how much I love her,” I say. At this point I’m staring outside of the window, staring at nothing in particular. I just gaze upon the beautiful landscape, watching the sun set.
“Don’t worry, you’ll see her very soon.” Her voice was low and dark. I spun around to confront her.
“What is that supposed to mean!?” My eyes widened, her eye twitched and she had an insane smile on her face.
“W-why do you have a knife?” I asked shakily.

3rd Person:
The other two crusaders walked down the dirt path they had come down so many times. No cheerful talk of plans to get their cutie marks, no stupid stunts, just sadness and occasionally anger.
“Ah feel really bad fer her. How could somepony kill a foal?” Apple Bloom asked sadly.
“I don’t know,” Scootaloo sighed. “How do you think Sweetie’s holdin’ up? She’s really sensitive.”
“Well, Ah think we should check on her. Who cares bout’ that silly clubhouse? Are friend needs us.” Apple Bloom said heroically. Scootaloo nodded in response. They both turned around, their destination: the carousel boutique.
“Ahhhhhhhhh! Somepony help me !” The two stopped in their tracks, turned around and galloped in the direction of the scream.
***
POV: Sweetie Belle
“Nononono! Please I’m sorry for bullying you! Just don’t hurt me!”
“It’s a little late to beg for forgiveness, you spoiled brat. Now you're going to end up like your friend Spoon! Ahahahaha” -twitch - “Hahahahaha !” I trot over to her and slap her into the ground. I was going to make this kill last . Hehehe! This is so much fun! I stab her hind leg, the knife going through like butter. Hehehe, butter.
“Ahhhhhhhhh! Somepony help me! ” I stab her again and again and again! Hahahaha! Now just one final slice to the throat and then… Who the hay is interrupting my super happy fun time!? Somepony’s hooves pulling me away from my kill! I can’t have that happen! Hehehe! I spin around quickly, slicing an orange filly in the throat. Okay, now where wa- Scootaloo!? Nonononono! I stare down at my friend, a large gash going straight across her throat.
***
3rd Person:
“The door is bucking locked! Since when did we get a lock!?” Scootaloo yelled, the screams of agony growing louder from inside the clubhouse. Apple Bloom pushed Scootaloo out of the way and didn’t hesitate to buck the door off it’s hinges. Her mouth went agape from what she saw. Sweetie Belle was repeatedly stabbing into the chest of Diamond Tiara.
“Ahahahaha! Take this! And that! And one right here! ” Sweetie squealed in delight, a huge smile plastered on her blood covered face. Each stab splattering blood all over the clubhouse. Scootaloo charged with a determined expression on her face, her jaw went agape when she saw the scene before her. Unlike Apple Bloom, she regained her senses and hastily went to help her nemesis. She grabbed Sweetie by the waist and pulled her away from her victim. Sweetie Belle growled and swung the knife blindly behind her. More blood splattered around the clubhouse, but it wasn’t Diamond Tiara’s blood.
The orange pegasus went wide-eyed as she grasped her throat. She fell to her knees, holding tightly around the gash adorning her neck. She gasped for air several times, but none was traveling into her lungs. She fell on her back, still gripping onto the wound. Sweetie turned back to her original victim. Before she could continue, she took a double take at the other pony. Her eyes widened in shock, tears already flowing. Sweetie dropped the knife and crawled over to Scootaloo as fast as she could.
“Oh no! Nononononono! Don’t die, Scoots! Please! I’m sorry!” Sweetie put a hoof behind the other filly’s head and lifted it slightly. Her other hoof went over the wound to try to stop the bleeding. Scootaloo couldn’t reply, she just continued to gasp for air as she held onto Sweetie in a soft embrace. The life was fading from the small pegasus. Apple Bloom could be seen bawling her eyes out in the corner of the clubhouse, trying to block the brutal image from her mind.
Scootaloo clenched her eyes tight, tears flowing from the cracks. She gasped one last time before her eyes drifted towards the ceiling. Her body went cold as Sweetie held the pegasus. Blood was still flowing freely from the cut in her throat. Sweetie sobbed into Scootaloo’s blood-soaked chest. She put a hoof over Scootaloo’s dead, purple eyes and closed them. She sobbed again before turning around to scan the room. Diamond Tiara was dead in a bath of her own blood, and Apple Bloom was still crying in the corner of the clubhouse. Sweetie glanced at the bloody knife on the ground. She sobbed again as she picked up the knife. Sweetie flipped it around to face her. She lifted it high in the air, the tip pointing towards herself.
Apple Bloom caught a glimpse of what Sweetie was doing and called to her. “No! Sweetie don’t do i–”
-Swish-
The knife stabbed into Sweetie’s chest, creating a loud ripping sound on impact. Sweetie gasped as the knife penetrated her body. It was the most painful thing she had ever experienced. The cold steel burned her insides, as well as effectively knocking the wind out of her. She fell to the hard, wooden ground of the clubhouse. She cringed in pain as her vision started to fade. Sweetie could hear the panicked shouts of Apple Bloom, but she couldn’t make out the words. She closed her eyes and never opened them again. All she was left with was darkness.

Sad ending. :(
Extinguishing Evil: Alternate Ending
“The door is bucking locked! Since when did we get a lock!?” Scootaloo yelled, the screams of agony growing louder from inside the clubhouse. Apple Bloom pushed Scootaloo out of the way and didn’t hesitate to buck the door off it’s hinges. Her mouth went agape from what she saw. Sweetie Belle was repeatedly stabbing into the chest of Diamond Tiara. Her chest was ripped apart as Sweetie brutally and unmercifully tore into her organs.
“Ahahahaha! Take this! And that! And one right here! ” Sweetie squealed in delight, a huge smile plastered on her blood covered face. Each stab splattering blood all over the clubhouse. Scootaloo charged with a determined expression on her face, her jaw went agape when she saw the scene before her. Unlike Apple Bloom, she regained her senses and hastily went to help the pony who had tormented her. She grabbed Sweetie by the waist and pulled her away from her victim. Sweetie Belle growled and swung the knife blindly behind her. More blood splattered around the clubhouse, but it wasn’t Diamond Tiara’s blood.
Scootaloo immediately put a hoof to her shoulder, a large gash trailing down her shoulder and foreleg. She gasped as she tried putting weight on her injured leg. Pain rocketed through her body. but she fought through it for the time being.
Sweetie was now repeatedly stabbing the now lifeless body of Diamond Tiara. Diamond’s torso was now a bloody mass chopped meat and bones. Each stab causing more blood to splash onto the walls and floor of the clubhouse.
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were now openly crying to the horrid scene. Apple Bloom was still in shock, but Scootaloo tried to fight through the pain and the terrible sights. With a burst of adrenaline she shot forward, swiftly tackling Sweetie Belle. She brought her muzzle to the knife handle and roughly ripped it from Sweetie’s grasp. Scootaloo wrestled Sweetie to the ground with her superior strength. Without even glancing behind her she yelled for her other friend.
“Apple Bloom! Get help now! ” Scootaloo restrained Sweetie so she couldn’t move even in the slightest. Apple Bloom rushed out of the clubhouse, her sobs growing distant. Scootaloo brought her gaze back to Sweetie’s, the insane grin still plastered on her face. She brought a hoof to Sweetie’s face, a loud crack echoed around the clubhouse. Scootaloo quickly pinned Sweetie’s hoof back down to the hardwood.
“How could you!?” she screamed. Blood dripped out of the openings in Sweetie’s dark grin. Scootaloo glared venom at her, tears pouring freely from her eyes. Her face contorted with anger, her eyes widening with disbelief. Scootaloo’s mouth scrunched up with disgust.
Sweetie’s insane grin slowly slipped off her face. She gazed into Scootaloo’s violet eyes. Sweetie Belle realized her mistake as her sanity slowly crept back into her body. She glanced at the dismembered body of Diamond Tiara. Tears filled Sweetie Belle’s eyes. She couldn't believe she did something so awful. A million feelings swam through her body at once: a few being regret, sorrow, and most of all, shame. Reality hit her like a bullet as she let her emotions flow.
Sweetie Belle bursted into tears, the salty liquid mixing with Diamond Tiara’s blood. Scootaloo was confused for a moment, but kept her hateful expression firmly on her features. Sweetie Belle tried to reach for the knife. When Scootaloo noticed this, she tightened her grip, her disbelief growing.
“You would kill me!? Your best friend!” Scootaloo shouted loudly straight into Sweetie Belle’s tear filled eyes. Sweetie Belle shook her head, her sobs growing louder. She shook violently, trying to remove herself from Scootaloo’s tight grip.
“N-no I w-want t-to kill m-myself!” She sobbed. Her voice stuttered loudly. Execution was inevitable. Sooner was better in her case. Scootaloo was shocked for a moment; a pang of sadness struck her heart like an arrow.
“What!? No! I won’t let you die! I won’t! ” Scootaloo felt betrayed. But she was loyal, and nothing could separate her from her friends, not even this. More tears leaked from her eyes. Scootaloo leaned down to Sweetie Belle; she buried her face into Sweetie’s neck. She let her tears soak into Sweetie Belle’s blood-smeared coat. Despite Scootaloo’s action, she kept her tight grip on Sweetie Belle’s hooves.
“P-please?” Sweetie Belle replied weakly. Scootaloo felt her grip loosen at that one word. She kept her grip nevertheless. Scootaloo’s loud sobbing continued as she matted her friend’s coat with tears. She shook her head countless times. She wanted to pounce on her friend and hug her until they took her away, but forced herself to resist her burning desire, knowing what her friend had become.
Sweetie glanced one last time at the knife before staring at her orange friend once again. She opened her muzzle to say something, but nothing came out. When Sweetie managed to speak, she uttered the last thing Scootaloo wanted to hear in her entire life time.
“C-can y-you kill m-me?” Sweetie asked shakily. She sobbed between words, making her stutter. Scootaloo couldn’t hold in the urge anymore. She lunged at Sweetie Belle, wrapping her hooves around her waist tightly and squeezing the white filly’s body to the point of bursting. Scootaloo sobbed for another half minute. Before Scootaloo could reply to Sweetie Belle’s horrid request, the sound of faint hoofsteps caught their attention. Just outside the clubhouse was the sound of galloping hooves. Soon was the sound of the pitter patter of somepony walking up the ladder. After that was the sound of cursing and vomiting.

The Canterlot Court House.
The Canterlot Court House was the last place in all of Equestria that Sweetie Belle imagined herself to be. If she ever did, she definitely didn’t expect herself to be bounded by several chains and a pair of hoofcuffs on her forelegs. Sounds of ponies talking were apparent through the large wooden doors, the only voices she managed to recognize were either crying or talking quickly and incoherently. The large doors opened and blinded Sweetie Belle with the quick change of light. Once her eyes adjusted, she was able to catch the disgusted glares of the spectators, Jury, and the Judge, who was Princess Celestia herself.
She caught a glimpse of the Elements of Harmony. Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Twilight all gave similar glares as the rest of the Courtroom attendants. Rarity was sobbing her heart out into Fluttershy’s shoulder, who not quite crying. She had a look of sadness in her cyan eyes as she gazed out the window, looking at nothing in particular. Pinkie Pie stared down at the floor. Her mane was flat as she had a few tears in her eyes. She glanced up at Sweetie Belle and tried to give her a reassuring smile, trying to explain that it will all be okay. Sweetie Belle kept trotting down the aisle. She spotted her fellow crusaders who were both hugging eachother, sobbing loudly. Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash tried to comfort them, but nothing really worked. They hadn’t talked to anypony but themselves since Sweetie Belle was taken into custody.
“Go to Tartarus!” a random mare shouted before throwing a metal horseshoe at Sweetie Belle, striking her in the head. The group cheered as the mare was dragged out of the courthouse by two of the Royal Guard members. Sweetie Belle fell to the ground in pain, but stood up and fought through it. She got to the end of the aisle and lowered herself on the chair in the front of the courthouse. The crowd was still chattering among themselves, most of it was about Sweetie Belle. The rest was about the victims and their families.
Princess Celestia slammed the mallet on the wooden surface of the Judges table, silencing the gallery. She cleared her throat loudly before starting.”The court is now in session for the trial of Sweetie Joyous Belle. She stands accused of the murder of Diamond Tiara and for the murder of Silver Spoon. How does the defendant plead?” Princess Celestia’s voice boomed through the large room.
Sweetie Belle glanced at the floor, she gulped as she hesitated to say the word. Tears leaked from her eyes. She let out a strangled sob before mumbling an answer. “G-guilty.” She struggled to raise the volume of the voice, it was near impossible for her to say the word. Sweetie Belle sobbed quietly. Unfortunately for Sweetie Belle, Celestia didn’t hear her.
“I apologize, you will have to speak up.” The princess’ expression softened along with her voice. Sweetie Belle started to hyperventilate, a warm sweat breaking out on her forehead, making her mane slightly limp. She could feel the piercing glares of the ponies around her. Sweetie Belle could feel tears beginning to form. A feeling of claustrophobia closed in on her. She could hear voices and whispers around her. All of them were asking one simple question: Why? The voices increased in volume until they sounded like they were nearly shouting. Sweetie Belle felt nauseous, like she could just collapse and vomit. She held a hoof to her head. A pounding headache shot through her nerves. The voices only grew in volume. Tears started to streak from the filly’s eyes. Sweetie Belle fell off her seat and on to her knees, making the chains clang together. She let out a loud, screeching wail before breaking down to sobs. Another scream after another. Sweetie Belle continued sobbing. She screamed out everything that was on her mind.
“I was only trying to protect my friends! Diamond and Silver Spoon tortured us! They were starting to kill me inside! All they ever did was hurt us! I tried being friends but they just made me cry or feel terrible about myself! I couldn’t stand it anymore! I know I was wrong b-but--- ” Sweetie paused her rant to let out another heart-wrenching sob. “I couldn’t control myself! I-I j-just---” Sweetie Belle felt like a massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She continued sobbing. It felt so different. Normally when she cried she would be comforted by her friend or family. Now, everypony just let her sob her heart out. Some watched the filly with pity, others with disgust.
Celestia watched Sweetie Belle with a saddened expression as the filly cried. She spoke in a loud comforting voice to attempt to calm the distressed filly. “Sweetie Belle, please, I need to hear your plea. I cannot end, nor continue the case if I don’t hear the words from your mouth.” Princess Celestia felt tears start to well up, but held them back. She knew the small filly was guilty.
Sweetie Belle attempted to calm herself, but it was a slow process. After numerous minutes, the filly’s sobs grew quieter until she was silently sobbing. Sweetie Belle swallowed loudly a few times, trying to speak up. She managed to find one letter. “G-g-g---” She stuttered on the word. She took a deep breath before she gained enough courage to say the one word.
“G-g-g-guilty.” Sweetie sobbed. Princess Celestia felt a single tear streak down her cheek.
“Very well,” Celestia sighed quietly but clearly. Rarity’s sobs grew several times in volume. Pinkie Pie let out a few sobs, as did Fluttershy. Everypony else’s expressions had portrayed great pity, though a few ponies still wore hateful glares. Princess Celestia felt two more tears make their way down her cheek. She didn’t like to see any of her subjects suffer, even if this filly was a murderer.
The Princess let out a long, tired sigh. She stopped for a second, thinking of an appropriate sentence to give to the filly. Princess Celestia glanced up at the crowd of ponies, all were looking at her for a response.
“Sweetie Joyous Belle, with a heavy heart, I hereby sentence you to spend two life sentences in a mental stability centre. You will be transported to Whinnypeg immediately after this trial.” Celestia banged the court mallet on the wooden surface, signaling the end of the case.
Sweetie Belle never sobbed louder in her life.
***
All Sweetie Belle could do was cry as she was taken away. She was led out of the courthouse and was surrounded by news reporters, all of them were asking every question possible. Sweetie was led to one of the royal carriages where she sat for hours on end.
The carriage ride only took a few hours, to Sweetie Belle it felt like years. The carriage came to a stop, curious, Sweetie glanced out the window and read the sign to the intimidating building.
‘Welcome to Ashluck Asylum’
Author's Note
I kind of consider this the real ending. I am much more proud.
A couple things, I am completely REDOING the chapters. It will still be the same in most ways but I left ALOT of things out.
By the way... sequel?
