Justice

A/N  I actually made a new chapter?!? Impossibru!! Yeah, I’ve been spending altogether too much time on memebase. Also just been busy with real life and blacksmithing. Fun fact, I actually am a blacksmith part-time. Anyway, enough of the stuff you don’t care about, here’s chapter 18.

Peace.

At this point, that’s all I want.

Not a day goes by without somepony dying, or something bad happening.

I’m tired.

Of everything.

Walking, running, hiding, fighting.

Everything.

I glance to my right as Twilight stumbles. I help her up and she gives a muttered word of thanks.

We keep walking.

Twilight’s expression is one of exhaustion, and her eyes are dull and unfocused.

She’s just as tired as I am.

I look up ahead at the path we are walking on. It’s the same one we traveled when we came from Canterlot to Ponyville, only in reverse direction. The path to the mountain branches off just a little under halfway to Canterlot.

“Twilight.”

She slowly turns her head and looks at me.

“Yeah?”

Even her voice shows how tired she is. Woken up in the middle of the night by magical fire, having her home burnt down, and then having Princess Luna try and kill us, only to be killed herself by Fluttershy.

Its been a long night for her.

“It is almost morning, and we have barely slept at all last night. Lets find a place to rest until noon or so, then we can start moving again, ok?”

I see the gears slowly churning in her head while she thinks over my proposal.

“Okay.”

I was really hoping she would say more, but at least she agreed. I look off the path on both sides, and on the left I see a good tree we can rest under.

“There’s a good spot, follow me.”

I walk off the path and look behind me. Twilight slowly follows me. We go around the tree so we’ll be at least partially obscured from the path. I set the backpack of food aside and lay down to sleep. Twilight half-falls, half-lays down next to me. In seconds we are both asleep.

Meanwhile in Ponyville…

Mayor Mare clears her throat while looking over the crowd of faces. She called a town meeting just a few minutes ago, and due to Princess Luna’s attack, as well as the library burning down, everypony was awake and already here. The body of the Princess lay just a few yards from the back of the crowd. Nopony had dared to move her.

“Now everypony, please calm down! I know what happened was quite tragic, but we have to think logically about this.”

A voice from the crowd interrupts her.

“Logically? Celestia sent her sister to burn down the library and kill Twilight Sparkle and the Human! The only logic solution is to fight back!”

The crowd broke into murmurs of assent.

A bead of sweat trickles down Mayor Mare’s forehead. In a conversation a few weeks prior, Celestia had told her exactly what would happen should Ponyville try to rebel against her.

*Flashback*

Mayor Mare cowers in the corner of her office, looking up in fear at Celestia.

“Don’t worry, I promise I will keep things under control here!”

Celestia smiles.

“Good, I actually like Ponyville, be a shame to burn it to the ground.”

*End Flashback*

“My little ponies, please don’t talk like that! The human is a dire threat against us, and Twilight was a traitor for helping it!” She tried to put all the conviction she could muster into those words, but they still rang hollow.

Another voice from the crowd speaks up.

“Twilight is an Element of Harmony! If Celestia will even kill them, what’s to say she won’t start killing us?!?”

Before Mayor Mare can react, another one speaks up.

“The human is only trying to protect us from Discord and his Guardians, and she tries to kill him as well! She is doing nothing to stop Discord!”

This is getting out of hoof. The expression of panic on Mayor Mare’s face shows that clear enough.

“Please, you don’t know what you’re do-”

A scream cuts her off mid-sentence.

Mayor Mare looks over the crowd of ponies just as they all turn around. Standing in front of them, is Luna.

“THOU ART TRUE FOOLS TO THINK A MERE MORTAL COULD KILL US! OUR SISTER WILL BE MOST INTERESTED TO HEAR THY TREASONOUS WORDS!”

With a great flash of light, Luna was gone.

The silence was deafening.

Ty’s POV-

I wake up with a heavy feeling in my chest.  I’m sad because of Twilight’s loss and Fluttershy turning evil. I’ve tried to help everypony here, I’ve tried to be a hero. But I may have just made things worse.

With my eyes still closed, I try to sit up. When I can’t I realize the heavy feeling was physical as well as mental. I open my eyes and I see Twilight curled up on top of me. I let my head back down with a sigh.

“Twilight, wake up, we need to be going.”

She curls up tighter and mumbles something incomprehensible.

“Twilight!”

I see her frown, and then her horn lights up. Suddenly my lips are zippers and she zips them shut.

Oh no she didn’t.

I raise my arms to push her off, but another glow from her horn pins both my arms to the ground.

Now I’m pissed.

I try and contact Justice to see if it will do anything, but before I can Twilight unfolds herself and looks right at me while still laying on top of me. She narrows her eyes at me, but her expression is still unreadable.

My heart races as a bolt of panic shoots through me. I’m helpless. What if she’s been waiting for me to fall asleep so she could capture or kill me, but Luna just interrupted last night?!? What if-”

“TyIthinkIaminlovewithyou.”

……

………..

…………….

…………………

…………………….What?

Okay that is not what I was expecting. At all.

Twilight breaks eye contact and looks to the side before continuing.

“The real reason I closed your mouth was so that I could explain myself without you trying to say anything to stop me…”

She pauses for a moment, leaving me to wonder where this came from.

She makes eye contact again and continues.

“I know this is sudden, but seeing Luna die right in front of me… I feel I have to say this before anything else happens. I feel like I have a heavy weight on my chest that I just need to get off, you know what I mean?”

I give her an exasperated look that says I know EXACTLY what she means, but she ignores me and goes on.

“You saved me from insanity and healed me when I had even given up on myself. You were kind to me even though I had tried to kill you. Just a few hours ago you stood up for me against Luna. You could have ran and left me to die, but you didn’t.  You were ready to sacrifice your life to protect me. I can never fully repay you for that.”

She pauses for a moment.

“But the least I can do is this.”

Her horn glows, and the zipper on my lips are gone, and my arms are free. She leans down and closes her eyes.

I panic.

She kisses me.

I stop panicking.

The kiss only lasts for a few seconds, and eventually Twilight pulls away.

I look at Twilight with a completely stunned expression, but only a look of quite contentment greets me. She smiles serenely, and finally, mercifully, gets off of me.

“Um… Twilight?” I cautiously ask.

“Please, just think about what I said, alright?” She interrupts me while swishing her tail at my face. “I know I may have only said that because of my screwed up emotions, or from the stress of what happened to my library and Luna, but I meant it. Anyway, what are you still lying down for? We have to a dragon to kill, remember?”

I pause.

“Well, alright. I guess.” I awkwardly respond.

I stand up and follow Twilight as she trots off, a million thoughts racing through my head.”

Fluttershy’s POV:

How dare he.

How dare she.

I’m gone for only a few days, and suddenly they are all over each other?!? From my perch on the cotton candy cloud that Discord gave me, I saw it all. Ty professed his love for me on multiple occasions, yet he does nothing to stop Twilight from kissing him? Humph. That shows that I was right. He really doesn’t love me. I should have expected that from him. But Twilight… there will be hell to pay for what you have done. Completely disgusted with the scene underneath me, I zip away, already plotting Twilight’s destruction.

Why U No Update Sooner?!?!?   Why U kill Luna off just to bring her back in next chapter?!?!?! Twilight and Ty kissed?!?! What about Fluttershy?!?!dfkjfa!?!?!?mdadhdgshga!?!?!?!?jhgahg!!!!!!!!!11!!111!!!

Anyway, I apologize for the shortness of this chapter, it is yet another transition onto better things. Please let me know if there are any mistakes, and I hope you enjoyed it. The next chapter will be an introspective chapter, with Ty mostly reflecting on what Twilight did and why he did nothing to stop it, while they go to the dragons lair. And of course you should expect something from Luna and Fluttershy as well. Also, I have a odd request. I would like you all to tell me what you HATE about this fanfiction. Seriously, I'm not joking. I want to get better with my writing, and I can't do that without criticism. Tell me what you hate about it, and why. Thank you.
