The Human That Was a Pony

Cal woke up before Twilight and was interested in all the books. He thought that with all the books there might be a explanation on how he got here. After only a few minutes of looking through the books he saw one that interested him it was called "Magical Mysteries and Theories." After skimming through it for a bit he stopped at a page on alternate dimensions.

"Those who don't know unicorns are magic and if they have a strong surge of emotions their magic can get out of control causing a discharge of energy. Tests and theories have proven that this can cause a temporary portal in other dimensions and can transport another being to this world." He then gets very interested in this and is now reading with much interest. "This temporary portal can even cause that being to be saved from a great danger if the pony that has the discharge is pure of heart." He then looks up from the book and realizes that Twilight is making a sandwich. "Morning Cal," she says to him.

"Morning," he says putting away the book. "So... ya I just read an interesting paragraph"

"And what's that?" she says as she is making another sandwich for him.

"Well apparently that last magical discharge you had apparently sent me here, after all I did appear on your roof."

She looks at him with bewilderment. "Well you certainly can absorb information easily," she says putting away the ingredients with her magic. "So you're here because of me, well I'm certainly sorry."

"Ya so since your the reason I'm here you can send me back right the FUCK NOW!" he says raising his voice in anger.

Twilight takes a step back from his sudden anger. "I.. I'm sorry I.. I don't know how I'll h.. have to ask princess Celestia," she says with a worried expression of what he might do.

"And how long will that take," he says with more anger building in him realizing his thoughts from last night were ridiculous. "Because I don't fucking want to stay here for very long."

"Sh.. She's in Manhatten on business." Twilight feels like she's about to cry, "It might take a few weeks."

He sees she's about to cry and realizes that he had his hand in a fist. "My god Twilight I'm... I'm sorry I can get pretty angry sometimes I'm so sorry," he goes over and holds the crying mare to help her calm down. "I didn't mean to say any of that I... I was just frustrated I'm so sorry." After a few minutes apologizing seemed to calm her

down.

When she was finished they eat their sandwiches in silence and she asks, "So what do you do for a living?"

"Other then get angry that would be getting fired from my job." They chuckle at that comment, "but other then that I guess music."

"Oh what kind if you don't mind me asking?"

"No I don't mind it's dubstep but I never could get an album or anything on account of me getting kicked out of every club I went to," he says with a depressed look.

"Why were you always kicked out?" she asked with some curiosity from his depressed look.

"Well I'm a serious alcoholic so whenever I went to a club for a gig it never helped I got free drinks," he says looking back to every club he's gone to falling even deeper in his depressed look.

She goes over to him and tells him, "It's alright Cal now that you're here you can work on that problem." This comforts him, but not much thinking of the last time he tried to quit. The dreams he had were so real and so frightening. Now that he's here he hopes he can do just that and get through it because he would have something other than that on his mind.

"Ya thanks for that, anyways what's on the agenda today," he says so that the depressing mood would leave.

"Well I was going to show you around town and introduce you to my friends."

"Well let's get going then, shall we," he says getting up from the chair heading for the door. Twilight soon following after him. She soon leads him to Sugercube Corner for the first time she introduces him to one of her friends.

"This is Sugercube Corner. My friend Pinkie Pie and the Cake family lives here. It's also a bakery" They both enter the shop Twilight calls to her friend, "Pinkie Pie I have a someone for you to meet." Almost instantly after that Cal and Twilight was showered by confetti. They turn to see a pink mare with a big poofy pink mane. She is jumping up and down with glee and couldn't wait to meet this human.

"Hello I'm Pinkie Pie what's your name? What are you? Where did you come from? Are you dangerous?" She spoke so fast Cal can hardly keep up with her words.

"Pinkie Pie don't overwhelm him with questions," Twilight says, Cal kind of relieved she said that before more questions where asked.

"The name is Cal I'm a human I came from another dimension because of Twilight, but luckily she saved my life by doing it, and no I am not dangerous," Cal answers her questions just as fast as she asked them Twilight and Pinkie Pie look at him surprised on how fast he answers her questions. But not long after Pinkie is bouncing with glee to her questions asked, "Oh and before you ask yes I would be happy to be your friend."

Pinkie stops jumping and again is surprised of what he said  but just as fast as last time she's jumping again, "Yay a new friend I have a new friend and this one is from another dimension oh we should have a party." Pinkie said this hoping for him to say yes.

"Maybe some other time Pinkie after I meet the others, ok," Cal says. Pinkie seems disappointed by it but is still happy none the less. Her happiness reminded him of his little cousin back home she was always filled with energy but Pinkie seemed to have a never ending supply in her.

"Well Pinkie we're going to visit Rarity next," Twilight says still a bit surprised at Cal's answer to Pinkie Pie.

"Oikie-doklie-oklie," Pinkie says as they leave.

"So I take it she's the energetic one of all your friends?" Cal asks as they are walking to the Carousel Boutique.

"Yes she is what gave it away?" she says earning a chuckle from Cal. "So anyways we're headed to the Carousel Boutique to see Rarity."

"Ok got it," he says walking down the street then sees a house that resembles a carousel. He thought to himself. "This is the Carousel Boutique didn't expect it to be an actual carousel." While he was admiring the Carousel he didn't notice what was ahead of him and bumped into some pony, "I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going."

"No I'm sorr..." She stopped in amazement of what lied before her

Twilight was just about to speak when Cal stopped her, "I got this Twilight, The names Cal I came from an alternate dimension because of Twilights magical discharge but if she hadn't I would have died," he says thinking back to the semi. "So now we're passing the time until the princess comes back from Manhatten in a few weeks."

"Well that was.. something the names Vinyl, Vinyl Scratch," she said. Cal then sees that she's a white mare and for all things considered was pretty hot. Her mane was dark blue but with light blue in it to make her mane noticeable. She had a pare of sunglasses hanging on her horn. "I was just getting to my gig and was thinking of stuff before I bumped into you."

"Cool what kid of a gig?" he asks.

"It's a club one filled with dubstep the best kind of music," she says seeing his eyes widen with happiness.

"Dubstep exists here?!" he says shouting with happiness and surprise as Vinyl nods her head. "This is the greatest things I've heard since I arrived in this world," he says as he checks his pockets and takes out his phone. "My god check that this is the greatest," he says as he looks at his phone.

"What's that thing?" Vinyl and Twilight simultaneously ask.

Cal is glad to answer that question, "It's a phone more specifically it records music and saves it to be replayed later and its used to communicate over long distances."

They look at it in amazement then Vinyl finally speaks, "I better go and set up the stage see you two later."

"Hold up," Cal stops her before she could leave. "What time are you playing and where?"

"At 7:00 p.m. at Hoof to the Beat why do you want to know?" she asks curiously.

"Because I'm coming to the club," she looks at him with surprise.

"Well ok I'll see you there and if you want I could get you into the back stage," she says smiling at him. He smiles back receiving a blush from Vinyl. He did not expect this and his cheeks started to turn a slight bit of red.

"Well see you later," Vinyl said breaking the moment. He strangely didn't want the moment to end. He then turns to Twilight who is looking at him with surprised eyes.

"So I think I know what the next couple in this town will be," she said blinking her eyes rapidly towards him.

"What no me and a pony never!" he yells quite loudly. Vinyl overheard this and it seemed she was quite depressed by it. Twilight and Cal then turned and continued to the Carousel Boutique. Upon arriving they we're greeted with fabric flying everywhere.

"Rarity what are you looking for?" asked Twilight.

A white pony with a purple mane pokes her head from around the corner, "I'm looking for Opal's favorite toy dear, she seems to have lost i...." she stops noticing the tall figure next to Twilight.

"W... What is that?" she asks.

"This is Cal, he's from an alternate dimension and was transported here when I had a magical discharge two days ago," she said to Rarity still amazed at what she was seeing. "Apparently I saved his life though he won't tell me how because he'd have to explain to much, and so I am showing him around ponyville because the princess won't be back from Manhatten for a few weeks." Rarity seemed to have comprehended the idea pretty well and just excepted it.

"Well that seems believable, in any case his clothes certainly aren't the best to wear," she says as she picks him up with her magic bringing him to a measuring block. "We first have to take your measurements so I can make your clothes, I suspect that your kind wear undergarments so take off your pants please." He looks at her bewildered but obeys her command.

"Rarity I have one question," Cal says.

"And what's that dearie?" she asks.

"Well why are you going to make clothes for me in the first place?"

"Because your a friend of Twilight so that makes you my friend. That and I am the element of Generosity," she says receiving a curious look from the human.

"What?"

"I am an element of harmony and I am generous so I symbolize it as for making clothes that what my cutie mark is," she shows him her flank and he looks at the three gems on it.

"Does everyo... everypony have one," he looks interested.

"No not everypony they earn it once they learn their special talent," she says as she jots down the last measurement. Cal then pulls up his pants and buckles them. He hears some giggling from around the corner and he turns to see nothing.

"Well thanks Rarity, when should I come and pick them up?" Cal asked walking with Twilight to the door.

"Tomorrow at noon they'll be ready around then," Rarity answers.

"Cool and thanks again Rarity."

"It's fine your my frie...." That was all she said as three fillies leap onto Cal and causing him to fall. Once that happened the fillies get up off of him and laugh hysterically.

"Sweaty Belle, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom that is not how we treat a guest," Rarity yelled at the three

"It's fine Rarity I've suffered worse falls then that," Cal said making the three not be as sad as they we're going to be.

"Sorry about that, the names Apple Bloom," the little filly says.

"Ya sorry my names Sweaty Belle," the other filly said.

"I'm not that was awesome, I'm Scootaloo," the last filly said.

"And we are The Cutie Mark Crusaders," they say simultaneously.

"Ya I'm Cal and am very grateful that you didn't kill me," they share a laugh as Cal gets back up from the fall. "I didn't expect that to happen so what are exactly The Cutie Mark Crusaders?"

"We do everything to do get our cutie marks trying everything crusading to the end!" they said with a lot of emphasis.

"Well have you tried what you love to do?" he asked as Twilight and Rarity gave him a look like they've tried before.

"No we haven't, hmm," Apple Bloom said thinking of it. Rarity and Twilight look at Cal as if they we're surprised that she was even giving a thought of that question. "Well I do love working and building things."

"And I love to sing," Sweaty Belle adds.

"And I love being awesome," said Scootaloo.

"Well try that you might get you cutie marks after that," Cal says.

"Ya but lets try all our other possibilities first," Scootaloo says ruining the revelation moment.

Rarity and Twilight sigh in disappointment. "Well we should go now Cal so I can introduce the rest of ponies and so you can get to work on your clothes," Twilight asks walking towards the door Cal soon following after. Once they leave the head towards a cottage. "Next person is Fluttershy, she is very shy so she lives outside of ponyville and helps animals." On the way they see a rainbow streak the sky soon after it stops above them and then comes straight down towards them. Cal can only look in amazement at what is happening. The rainbow stops and Cal sees a Pegasus hovering above them. Her mane was blue and her tail was the color of a rainbow not one color missing.

"Hey Twilight I was flying by and noticed that awesome looking.. whatever it is walking with you," he said looking at Cal with interest.

"Well for one the names Cal for two I'm a human from another dimension thanks to Twilight but I'm not complaining because she did save my life," Cal said fairly quick comparing he had done this a few times before.

"Well that couldn't have sounded more casual, Then names Rainbow Dash the fastest flyer in Equestria," she says as she lands to the ground.

"Ya well I have told a few others so I kind of got my story straight, oh and I'm stuck here for a few weeks because the princess is in Manhatten, no more to it," he said as Rainbow dash goes up to him extending a hoof to shake.

"Well nice to meet you Cal, sorry your stuck here for awhile," she said as he shakes her hoof.

"Na don't be, I've come to terms with it after getting pretty angry at Twilight," he says remembering the events of that morning. "Which reminds me sorry again Twi."

"Like I've said before the other thousand times it's fine I would have been angry to if it happened to me" She says making him feel less guilty.

"Well I've got to go and get these clouds situated" she says flying off

"Umm about the clouds what"

"Pegasusi here operate the clouds and the rain" She says like its a common thing.

"Well ok so lets go and meet Fluttershy before my mind is further destroyed by what happens here" They then continue down the road to the cottage they arrive fairly fast and see someone leaving the place.

"Hello Octavia how are you" Twilight yells to the pony

"Hello Twilight I'm good thanks to Fluttershy popping my back into pla..." She stops at Cal's sight

"Names Cal form an alternate dimension and am here thanks to Twilight am stuck for a few weeks and am tired of explaining this" Cal says with a bit of irritation of how many times he's had to explain it.

"Yes well that was fairly fast and simply well you sound irritated so I will have my goodbyes" she says walking away.

"Hey Twi do you think we can skip going to Fluttershy's house I kind of want to go back to you house and sleep until 7:00" Cal asks hoping for a yes

"Well ok only because it's you that wants to lets go" They then head off back home.
