Chapters "Aha! It's good to be back in Equestria again!" The dragoneques let out a series of laughs before looking back at his crumbled stone prison.
"Well, now that I'm back, it's time to do some plotting! After all, it's still nightfall!" He laughed again and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, a cotton candy cloud materialized out of thin air and wrapped around a tree, which he proceedednto leap on. The cloud lunged down as if to break, but almost immediantly it rebounded.
"Hmm...considering they'll notice my fantastic chaos by sunrise...the elements will surely try to attack me! I'd hate being trapped in there again, it's so cold and dark and non-chaotic..."
The cloud 'pillow' dripped with chocolate rain but to no avail to the chaos loving dragoneques, for he had been through the effects of cotton candy clouds the last time he and Twilight had met. Then, the moon began to descend.
"Oh, who am I to waste time...wait, that's it!" A wicked grin spread across his face. "How can the Elements of Harmony trap me again if they never even existed? How can Twilight and her friends find the elements if they hadn't even met? That's it! I know how I'm going to reign chaos again! And this time, forever!" Thunder once again rolled over and lightning striked the ground, ironically setting the mood to this evil plan.
"But how do I travel back in time? Even as the god of chaos, one cannot travel back in time that easily..."He scratched his beard. Then the solution appeared.
He snapped his fingers and evaporated into thin air. Then he materialized in the Canterlot library, in the shape of a butterfly. Using his magical powers he made the time traveling magic page float out of a book (although he could just grab it, he didn't want to give himself away). He read it quickly and touched it. The words floated off the page and encircled him. Now he knew how to time travel.
He put his arms in front of him and magic started to form a hurricane like funnel. He laughed and said before he disappeared,
"Now I, Discord, the god of chaos, will take over Equestria, and no creature, no pony, no thing will stop me!"
A funnel of thunder clouds materialized above Cloudsdale and out from them came Discord. His wings flapped and he swooped down near the weather factory to make sure he was in the right place at the right time.
Sure enough, he was.
Taking a closer look, he saw a small cyan filly with a mane in all the colors of the rainbow. Some hairs were springing here and there, but it was clear to see who this rainbow filly was. Even though she didn't have her cutie mark, it was clear to see this was the filly equivalent of Rainbow Dash.
And a bit farther away, there was a yellow filly with luscious, messy light pink mane. The shy appearance ticked his memory and Discord remembered that this shy little pony was none other than Fluttershy.
Filly Fluttershy's small wings struggled and she tried to fly over the cloud ring next to her. She was almost there, almost...
Unfortunatly, the poor little filly tripped and she yelped as she fell.
"Nice job, 'Klutzershy'! They outta ground you permanetly!"
Two male pegasi had happened to fly over. They seemed to laugh like maniacs, and the poor filly Fluttershy blushed in embarassment.
"Ha! My baby brother can fly better than you!" One of them said, making Fluttershy blush even more.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared. It was none other than filly Rainbow herself, standing her ground between the stallions and the mare.
"Leave her alone!" Rainbow Dash's voice rang out throughout Cloudsdale, just like her older equivalent but a bit higher pitched.
"Ooh, what are YOU gonna do, Rainbow Crash?"
"Keep making fun of her and find out!"
The arguing did interest Discord, but it started to bore him. He grew a but drowsy and decided to spice things up a bit. With a snap of his fingers he became a innocent little butterfly, and he flew over to Fluttershy.
"You think you're such a big shot? Why don't you prove it?"
"What do you have in mind?"
And as quickly as the three ponies came, they were gone.
Filly Fluttershy took a step forward to go to the racing line, but stopped dead in her tracks when Discord-butterfly whispered something in her ear: "Hey, I have a little thing to tell you.'
She looked around and yelped in fright, only to see the now transformed into a pegasus Discord, who took her by the hoof and flew over to a quiet spot above the Everfree.
"W-w-who are you?"
"I'm....er...Disc- i mean Chaos! Chaos! That's my name!"
"Uhm...well...Chaos, if that is your name...would you mind telling me what you pulled me over here for..?"
"Ah, but that is a little thing I have to tell you later. But for now..there's something I need to finish."
And with a puff of gray smoke he was gone.
"Ah, that was weird. Where did he go?" Filly Fluttershy wondered, looking around.
Chaos-Discord flew around to find little Dashie. She was training before the race. How cute.
"Hey!" He called.
Dash whirled around and yelled "Watch it, newbie! I'm training here!"
"Training? Aha! Why do you need to train?"
" 'Why do you need to train?' What are you, a baby? I need to train to win against these jerks!"
"Well what if I told you...there was a better way to win than hard work? Would you like that, 'Rainbow Crash'?"
Rainbow Dash flinched at the sound of the insult. Usually, she could stand it, but now it REALLY started to get on her nerves.
"I don't need your help to win, freak! I'm the greatest flyer in Cloudsdale, no wait, the greatest flyer in all of Equestria !" She yelled, wings fluttering wildly like she was going to fly up and do a sonic rainboom any minute.
"You sure about that?" Discord, still in the form of a pegasus lept up in the air and flew so high he was just a speck of dust from Ponyville's view. He touched the ground to meet a half-angry and half-jealous Dashie.
"How did you-eh, whatever! I'm gonna win with no help at all! No matter how good you think you are! I'm. Going. To. Win." The little pegasus flew off.
Discord narrowed his eyes and frowned. Well, excuse me, soon-to-be ex-Loyalty.
"Um..sir?"
Discord whirled around to see the pink maned shy pony.
"Yes?" Discord tried not to sound annoyed.
"Well, uhm..you see..I uhm...well..er.."
"What is it already?! "
"E-eek! I uhm, well..." Fluttershy took a deep squeaky breath. "MyonepegasusfriendhadtodoaraceandthenI'msupposedtowavetheflagtostartitand..." She panted.
"Wave the flag? A bit harsh, isn't it?"
Fluttershy gave Discord an confused glance. "Excuse me b-but..how is that harsh?"
"You know, considering no one's your friend and so they think they can just give you such a lowly job, unlike what a friend would do."
"I don't quite understand.."
"Ugh.." Discord felt his hoof hit his face. He felt the powers of chaos start to escape. This worried him, because if too much raw power escaped, he'll turn back into a dragoneques and ruin everything.
Wait that's it. Cutting back to the future, he remembered with just a flick of his wrist he could discord a pony. Why can't he just do that, even though he's a pony?
"You know," Discord purred smoothly, padding around the shy mare, "You are really shy. You gotta change that."
"Sir, I don't know.."
"Oh, let me help with that..." He put his hoof to her head, just as the last of his resistance of chaos energy slipped away.
His wings alit in golden light and the light wrapped around Fluttershy. The light seemed a bit like time, changing.
The light flooded his vision.
When it cleared, there stood a mare with a grayish pink mane and grayish yellow coat. Only one thing was different about the filly's appearance.
Her eyes were the same color of the time dust.
The young mare flew over to the starting line of the race. She took the flag in her mouth and using her wings, snapped in in half, making a huge CRACK sound.
Then she flew over to Dashie's competitors and mouthed go away . Confused, they stepped back.
Then Fluttershy flew over to Dashie.
With a loud SMACK , she smacked Dashie off the cloud.
"There she goes." Fluttershy said silently, with a smile.
"Element of Kindness..,"Discord smiled. "is no more."
The darkness of the night cast a shadowy blanket over Equestria. The moon was up at its highest, shining brighter than it ever had before. The only sound was the ponies' breathing and the whistling winds.
Over the dark mossy fields of Ponyville, stone statues stood lifelessly. A statue of a pony holding a flag, for example. Or one with Cupid's bow. All had one similar trait: they were without a speck of movement.
Or so they thought.
A cracking sound filled the air. It was a abnormal cracking sound, not the sound of something brushing a Ponyville house. It was the sound of stone breaking. Not just a little piece or a little brick; a huge, thick, tall stone was beginning to crack open.
When the last piece of stone hit the ground, all seemed to go quiet.
Then, laughter.
Minalical laughter.
Storm clouds filled the air. Nopony was there to clear them so it began to rain abnormal amounts of water. Lighting scorched the trees and the apples on it. The moon disappeared under the ridiculous amount of rain clouds.
The ground has changed too. The rain hit the ground furiously, and the grass began to wilt with each drop. This was no ordinary rainfall. It was what you could call...chaotic,
However, nopony was awakened by the amount of noise. They kept sleeping, unknown of what was happening.
In the distance, far, far, far away in the Everfree Forest, in a old relic castle, similar to the one of Canterlot, a white majestic tree's branches began to crack.
And the glowing stones inside of them started to fizz and buzz.
Something has disrupted the Elements of Harmony.
Something....that had reigned a long time ago.
Something that was evil.
Something that was....chaotic.
