The Equestrian Dragonborn
Temporary Home
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGalar was amazed. He couldn't believe what he was seeing with his eyes. First, he was actually transported to a new land and became one of the creatures that inhabited it, and now he's actually visiting one of the possibly many cities that these creatures that lived here. As he walked with his new friends Rarity, who was one of the main inhabitants of this land, and Spike, this land's version of a Dragon, he was thinking about many things.
Will I ever be able to get back to Skyrim? How would my allies react to me gone? How would the Greybeards and Paarthurnax react to me gone? These and many other questions swam in his mind as he walked behind Rarity and Spike. His head dropped down, his eyes looked at the ground. He knew he should have thought things through before he walked through the portal but his curiosity managed to get the best of him.
Father said I was always the curious one. He thought sadly.
"Galar." He heard Rarity say lifting his head up to see her with a look of worry on her face. "Are you alright?" She asked him with a hint of worry in her voice.
"Y-yes. I was just thinking about something." He replied boldly. Rarity then stopped walking and only stared at him. Spike started to stop and was about to turn around.
"Spike, keep going. Me and Galar need to speak alone." She said to the Dragon. He only nodded quickly and continued forward. Rarity then stood in front of Galar and only gave him a glare.
"Galar, I might not be able to spot a liar greatly, but I can see that you're lying to me. Now what is really bothering you?" She asked. Galar then closed his eyes and released a deep and heavy sigh.
"Rarity, would you believe me if I told you that I'm... not from here?" He asked her.
"Wait, what do you mean?" She asked in replying.
"Well.... how do I put this in a way that you don't scream? I'm not... from this world." He mumbled.
"You're not what darling?" She asked.
"I'm not from this world. He mumbled again.
"Could you please speak up?" She asked.
"I'm not.... from this world." He finally said in his regular voice as he closed his eyes tightly. After a minute, he slowly opened one of his eyes only to see Rarity blankly staring at him.
"Rarity, are you not going to scream?" He asked in a confused voice.
"Galar, I already knew that." She replied making his eyes widen in a combination of shock and surprise.
"B-but how?!" He asked in a surprised voice. Rarity let out a small giggle before circling him.
"First off, I've never heard anypony have a stranger name than you. Second, your fighting style is strange and unlike the styles I've seen. Third, nopony has made weapons and armor that looks like yours. And finally, there isn't anypony here in Equestria that can do that ability you did to tackle the Diamond Dog." She explained.
"Oh. Hehe." He said as he blushed making Rarity giggle a bit.
"It's alright Galar. As long as you're here in Equestria, I vow not to tell anypony." She said as she raised her hand.
"I thank you. But I'll need to tell someone one day." He said back.
"Somepony you mean." She corrected.
"Right. Somepony. So, can we head to Ponyville?" He asked her.
"We can." She replied. The two then began to walk again. After a minute of walking, Galar saw a small town that kind of reminded him of Riverwood. At the entrance of the town, he saw a large sign that read 'Welcome to Ponyville' on it.
"What do you think Galar?" Rarity asked him.
"It's.... nice. Reminds me of a town back where I come from." He replied.
"It's a lovely place. Now, let's get you to my home where you can clean yourself up." She said as she began to walk towards the small town. Galar quickly step behind her as he followed her into Ponyville. As the two entered the Ponyville, Galar noticed that it was like any town he saw in Skyrim. Stall were near the center of the town selling produce and ponies were buying it, children or foals in this case running around in the streets, laughing and playing, and ponies minding their business as they walked through the town.
It really reminds me of Skyrim. Makes me miss it more. He thought sadly as his head began to drop. But then, he noticed that the ponies stopped what they were doing and started to glare at him. Nervous, he began to walk next to Rarity.
"Uh... Rarity. I think I'm being watched." He whispered to her. She turned and saw the ponies staring at him.
"Oh boy. They do this usually with new ponies." Rarity said back. As the two walked, the ponies still glared at Galar. But then, an idea came to his head. Reaching into his inventory, he pulled out a small, black vial.
"What's in that vial?" Rarity asked him.
"Trust me. Those ponies won't be staring at me for a while." He replied. She watched as he drank the whole vial. But shortly after he drank it, a flash of orange and blue light appeared around him and then, he wasn't there anymore making the ponies gasp including Rarity.
"Galar? Where are you?" She asked as she turned in a circle.
"Right here." His voice replied.
"Are you... invisible?" She asked him.
"Yes. Now can we head to your home?" He asked.
"Of course. But quickly." She replied. Then Rarity and an invisible Galar quickly walked away from the crowd of ponies that was stunned by his disappearance. When they were out of the crowd's view, the flashes of light appeared again and Galar was now visible.
"Let me guess, an invisibility potion?" She asked sarcastically.
"Yes. It only lasts for a short time though. Now, is this where you live?" He asked her as he stared at a white building.
"It is. I welcome to my home and my clothing shop 'The Carousel Boutique'!" She replied happily. He observed the building and loved the way it was decorated and shaped. She headed for the door and opened it.
"Galar, would you like to come inside?" She asked him as she stared at him.
"I'd love to." He replied as he approached the building. He then entered behind Rarity and saw what could of been a clothing designer's dream.
Carousel Boutique
Fabrics all over the room, mannequins with clothing on them, and decorations for the clothes in piles. That's what he saw all over the inside of the building.
"Amazing Rarity, it seems you take your work seriously." He said in amazement.
"Thank you. Now, I'll grab you some water to wash the blood off of you. Feel free to look around." She said as she headed up the stairs to the building's upper floors. He then began to walk around and looked at the clothes that were placed on the mannequins. He especially looked at what was a black suit with matching black pants. The inner shirt was white and the hat was black with a white ribbon around it.
Rarity's designs are unique I'll give her that. I bet even the most talented clothes maker in Skyrim couldn't make something as amazing as this. He thought as he observed the suit. He gently felt the suit and felt the soft fabric. He was amazed at how soft the clothing was as he rubbed it. Galar then heard the sound of Rarity's hooves as she came back downstairs. He saw her carrying a pail of water and a cloth in her hands.
"Here you go." She said as she passed him the pail and cloth. He took it and dunked the cloth in the warm water. He ringed it out before he wiped his face, cleaning the blood off of him. After he dunked it in the pail and cleaning out the blood, he wiped off the blood from his gauntlets and armor. Galar then placed the bloodied cloth in the bucket and gave it to Rarity.
"Thank you. I guess I'll be taking my leave." He said as he headed for the door.
"Wait." Rarity said making him stop and turn around. "Would you... like to stay here?" She asked him.
"I wouldn't want to be a burden on you Rarity." He said.
"Burden? No. I insist that you stay. Think of it as repayment for saving me." She said to him. It took a minute, but then he gave her his answer mostly for her sad eye look.
"Alright. I'll stay." He said. Rarity then gave him a big smile.
"Excellent. Now, allow me to show you to the guest room." She said as she grabbed his hand and began to drag him upstairs. She took him up the stairs and opened a door, showing the contents within. Inside was a massive bed, a dresser with a mirror, and a large window.
"Wow." He said in amazement.
"Amazing isn't it? Well, I'll allow you to get settled in. If you need anything, come to me." She said as she left the room.
"Will do." He said back. He then headed for the bed, laid in it without covering in the sheets, and slowly fell asleep.
