Chapter 1 - Stuck in the Tombs with a Couple of Mad Ponies

We were completely overjoyed to have found the tomb. As we entered it however, the door behind us slammed shut. My assistants and I were trapped with nothing but the glow of our torch and the sound of our hooves. We were alone in the dark, or so we thought. We could hear what sounded like wind blowing and a small bit of light; we thought that it was maybe an escape route, however it wasn't. When we reached the sound, we didn't find an exit, we found a box; a big blue box. Beside it were two ponies, a purple unicorn and a brown earth pony. The earth pony wasn't making any sense, something about an interdimetional distress signal and a subspace frequency that the tardis picked up. I will ever understand earth ponies or unicorns, especially ones that hide in boxes. I decided to let them find their own way out.

As we walked, we found many doors, all of them sealed shut. There were all covered in ancient equine hieroglyphs. I couldn't make out what they said in the dim light; all that I could see was the symbol for Ramesses on one side of the hall and the symbol for Anubis on the other. That was strange to me because you never saw Ramesses and Anubis tombs in the same place. As we exited the hall, we came into a very large area; it was full of treasures and historical artifacts. However, there was defiantly something wrong with this place. I couldn't figure it out until I looked up. When I did, I saw a pair of glowing red eyes and a jaw full of teeth looking down at me. At that moment, I only had one thought flew through my head, RUN! And that’s exactly what we did. We didn't even know what we were running from, but it didn't matter, all that mattered to me was making sure my friends and I weren't eaten or something. I’m not sure why we ran towards the blue box, something inside me just said that it was the safest place to be. When we finally reached it, I was scared out of my wits. I was babbling like a big idiot, which didn't normally happen. Usually, I was very calm when faced with conflict. But, when you are in my profession, you don’t usually find live creatures, especially in a tomb that had been locked for over 1000 years!

Did I mention that the earth pony was crazy? Well, now that I think about it, he wasn't just crazy, HE WAS INSANE!!! After telling him everything that I knew, including the old pony’s tale, he didn't try to help find an escape, no, HE WENT LOOKING FOR THE CREATURE!!!
