Previous ChapterNext Chapter“I think we should rest here, I’m getting tired,” Twilight said as she sat down under one of the many dead trees. The filly jumped off her back and landed into a patch of dry mud.
“So, before we run into anything ells, is there anything I should know about?”
“Know about?” the filly repeated her
“Yeah, like any other dangerous things?”
“Well, I guess so. First of all there are more than just dream spiders here-“
“Good to know.” Twilight interrupted sarcastically.
“Sorry, any way, there are also black scorpions.”
“And what do they do?”
“They, uh, you know what, you don’t want to know.”
“Yeah, I probably don’t.”
“Their are spectral crows and ravens.”
“Spectral?”
“Yeah, they have, powers.”
“What kind of powers?”
“they can sense fear with in living creatures, they can summon others when it’s in pain-“
“Bet it can teleport.”
“No, last time I checked they can’t.”
“Then why do they just vanish into thin air.”
“They, wit, how did you know about that?”
“…oh, well I kind of ran into, a few.”
“how many?” The young pony became irritated.
“…a lot.”
“What did you do?”
“I, might have, threw a rock at one.”
“…oh no.” The pony became scared. She ran off and jumped into one of the hollow trees.
“What’s wrong-?”
“You have to hide! Last pony who angered them, Hide!” Twilight started panicking, than out of nowhere she did the same as the filly and jumped into a tree. A few seconds later the sky turned completely black as the moon became eclipsed by something.
“What is that?” Twilight whispered.
“It’s them, they’re here for you.”
“Why me?”
“You angered them.”
“I’m sorry but-“
“Shuush!” the filly interrupted, a while later the sky returned along with the faded light.
“Okay, they’re gone.” She started climbing out of the tree.
“Help!” Twilight cried out, she was stuck in the tree. The pony walked over to her, grabbed her hoof, and attempted to pull her out of the tree.
“Ow ow ow!” Twilight started shouting, and in an instant she flew right out of the tree an landed on a pile of twigs.
“…ow” she said one last time.
“I’m so sorry, I was only trying to help!” she started panicking
“Don’t worry, ow, I’m okay.” As Twilight stood up she quickly fell back down moaning and shouting in pain.
“What happened?!”
“Ow, I think I twisted my ankle.”
“I’m so SO sorry!”
“Hey it’s okay, calm down, it’s not your fault-“
“Yes it is! When I tried pulling you out of the tree you must have gotten hurt.” She started crying. Twilight couldn’t help but to feel bad, it was her fault that she got hurt, but she didn’t want to make her feel vena worse.
“Shh, it’s okay calm down,” she told her as she lifted her head and whipped way her tears.”It’s okay, I’m hurt so what, I can walk it off, it’s not like I’m going to die.”
“…I’m sorry” she said one last time.
“I forgive you, come on, let’s get out of here.” She stood up and started limping towards the tower. The filly stood there, she stared at Twilight as she walked away.
“Are you alright!?” Twilight shouted towards her. She shook her head and raced towards her.
“Wait here!” She told her than ran off. Twilight stood there confused. A few seconds later she came back with some sort of carpet woven out of black vines. She than raced over behind Twilight and pushed her on to it.
“Uh, what are you doing?”
“I’m trying to make it up to you, since you’ve been carrying me this entire time, I thought that I could return the favor.” Twilight giggled as she lied down on the black vines. The filly raced over to a lose vine, picked it up, and started dragging the others along with it.
“Your, pretty strong for young filly.”
“It’s a spell I used, It’ll ware off in an hour.” She replied. And with determination she pulled her threw the forest.
“So your using a spell to give you strength?”
“Yeah, I’m actually really weak.” She sighed.
“You know what, you kind of remind me of myself.”
“How?”
“Well, you have pretty strong magic.”
“Yeah, magic was the only thing I could train while I was here.”
“I bet it is. What kind of spells do you use?”
“…mostly invisibility spells to hide me from everything.”
“Why didn’t you use it when all those birds showed up?”
“I can’t use magic when I’m scared. I don’t know why, it just won’t work.”
“Hmm. Well when we get out of here, I could help you with that.”
“You will?” the pony started becoming exited.
“Sure, I could help you learn a few new spells, and help you get past that magic block.” The filly started cheering, she started slowing down when her cheering died.
“Aww!”
‘What’s wrong?”
“The spell wore off.”
“Wow an hour went by fast.” Twilight stood up and shook her leg to see if it was still in pain, the pain was gone and she walked off the woven vines and picked up the young pony.
“Come on, let’s get going.” She placed her on her back and trotted off.
“So, we were talking about all the dangerous stuff here right? What ells is their?”
“Hmm? Oh right, well other than animals there are also plants that have a mind of their own, or something like that.”
“Like?”
“hmm…ever heard of Ivy Weed?”
“Ivy Weed?! That stuff went extinct millions of years ago!”
“The black forest houses all that is gone in the real world.”
“Black…-I’ve heard of this place. I read about it in a book, it said that it disappeared when Celestia and Luna took rule over Equestria.”
“They hid it.”
“Hid it?”
“It was too dangerous, to many lives were lost on the explorations of it.”
“…How do you know all this.” The filly side.
“I don’t know, it’s like I knew about it when I got here. I want to figure out how I know, and who I am.”
“I forgot that you couldn’t remember your name, don’t worry you’ll remember it eventually.” The filly smiled.
