Negative Anger Within Kindness

After the visit to the doctor, Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy went back to the library, as well as her friends. There, they explained the situation Fluttershy is in, and what negative magic is, and the fact that it increases when she is angered. Everypony, along with Spike, listened on about the effects, how it was possibly caused, and how its similar to her power in the Power Ponies comic book.

"So let me get this straight, you have negative magic in your body, and when you get angry, the negative magic increases in your body, and can cause your mind to corrupt?" Applejack questioned.

"To put in short terms, yes Applejack." Fluttershy responded.

"And the best way to prevent that is to keep you calm and happy at all times?" Rarity added.

"Yes."

"And we have to wait a week for the cure to be ready?" Rainbow also added.

"Yes Rainbow, a week. Maybe less. But if I'm gonna go through the week knowing that there is negative magic in my body that can activate when I get angry, I'm gonna need your help girls." Fluttershy said. All her friends understood the situation she was in and were gonna help her any way they can.

"You can count me in Sugarcube." Applejack said.

"Me too darling." Rarity added.

"We'll help you throughout the week." Spike added.

"Of course I'm not leaving my foalhood friend hanging now am I?" Rainbow Dash added.

"We're gonna get rid of that magic through the best way I can think of, a party!" Pinkie added.

"You helped us a number of times Fluttershy. Now its our turn to help you." Twilight added. Her Five friends and Spike had there hooves (and a claw) in one spot in a circle, waiting for Fluttershy to join them and close the gap. Fluttershy had tears in her eyes, and a smile on her face as she joined in with her friends and placed her hoof within theirs. She truly could not ask for better friends to help her out in this situation.

Today started the first day of Fluttershy's "treatment", in which her friends do the things the doctor said that would help Fluttershy get better. Pinkie Pie wanted to start a program called "Treat Fluttershy With Happiness" (TFWH for short), but her friends said that a simple surprise party would be better, to which Pinkie agreed too. Fluttershy however, just wanted to go home for the day as she has alot of animals that need feeding, and she has to tell them about her situation, plus it was starting to get late so everypony has to go home. Her friends were a little cautious about her being alone but she says that she can handle herself.

Later on in the night, Twilight was in her room writing to Princess Celestia about what has happened today and about the negative magic Fluttershy has. Spike then came in the room.

"Ah Spike, just in time. Can you send this letter to Princess Celestia while I get ready for bed?"

"Can do Twilight." Spike said as he took the letter from Twilight's desk. He blew onto the letter, engulfing it into flames until it disappeared. Twilight then returned into the room with her nightcap on and tuckered into her bed, Spike doing the same to his bed. Twilight was about to fall asleep until Spike asked her a question.

"Twilight, I'm worried about Fluttershy. Do you think she's gonna be okay?"

"Spike, to be honest, I'm worried too. We're all worried for her, but that's why we're gonna do what we can to help her out. Also I know Fluttershy is a strong pony in heart. She can handle herself, but we're gonna step in whenever we feel she needs help."

"Your right Twilight." Spike said, followed by a yawn, and a yawn from the alicorn.

"But right now, why don't we get some sleep for the night?"

"Ok, good night Twilight."

"Good night Spike." She responded. They soon went to sleep and into their dreams.

Meanwhile at Fluttershy's cottage, The pegasus herself was in her room, laying down on her bed thinking about everything that happened today. She was starting to feel better after today, but she was still worried that something terrible was gonna happen. She was starting to shiver in fear until she remembered her friends.

"Right. Don't worry Fluttershy, your friends are going to help you through this...but I still wonder..." As she pondered on about negative magic, she started to yawn, and her eyes grew weary.

"But maybe I should get some sleep." She said to herself. Getting into a comfortable position on her bed she slowly started to fall asleep.

The next four days went by pretty fast for the Mane 6 and so far, Fluttershy has yet to have another outburst like the last one. There had been times where they had some close calls though.

Throughout the four days, not much has happened. Fluttershy did her best to maintain her normal lifestyle without any negative outbursts and even her rabbit Angel, dared not to try to make Fluttershy angry by trying to not get greedy, or ask for any fancy dinners. All her animal friends did their best to support her through this and so far, nothing bad has happened. Fluttershy had not even attempted to threaten, hurt, or even get irked at anything during the four days. Celestia had written back to Twilight, telling her that she too knows about negative magic and its multiple possibilities if not treated soon, and is glad that a cure is now being ready for the yellow pegasus.

Today being the 5th day, they decided to have a game night at Twilight's Library to help Fluttershy feel better, and to help keep her anger under control. Later on at night, all of them had brought board games to play together. Pinkie Pie however brought the snacks instead.

They played multiple board games such as chess, checkers, bingo, tic tac toe, and also a deck of cards for more strategic games. Overall, everypony had a game they could enjoy without any complaints.

Twilight and Applejack were locked in a game of chess with Applejack actually beating Twilight, much to everypony's surprise. Rainbow Dash and Rarity were playing tic tac toe, with Rarity having more wins than Rainbow Dash. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy however were playing checkers, which Fluttershy was winning until Pinkie Pie outsmarted her. Overall, everypony was happy, and it seemed like nothing could ruin this night.

"Um. Pinkie? Could you get me a cup of punch please? I'm very thirsty." Fluttershy asked. Pinkie Pie got up from her seat to get Fluttershy a cup of juice. Pinkie Pie however, when getting the juice, slipped on a loose checker peice, trying to hold the cup in place without falling. Unfortunately, she couldn't hold it in place and accidentally threw it towards Fluttershy's direction. Her friends tried to warn her in time but it was too late. The juice from the cup splattered all over Fluttershy's mane and left it as a mess, causing a gasp to come from everypony else. Pinkie Pie immediately went to side with a towel to help dry the punch off her mane.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so so so so SOOOO sorry Fluttershy! It was my fault! I didn't mean for it to happen! Your not mad a-are you?" Pinkie asked, still cleaning Fluttershy's mane with the towel. She then stopped to see her face which was sporting a face of hidden rage.

"No......I'm not mad..."

"Oh what a relief." Pinkie said with a deep breath. "Because I though-"

"I AM INFURIATED!" Fluttershy yelled, startling everypony.

"Bu-but I said I was sor-"

"Yeah yeah "I'm sorry this, I'm sorry that" crap. I'm getting real tired of your jokes Pinkie. You dont seem to notice it but SORRY DOESN'T ALWAYS CUT IT!"

"But...but I-"

"Didn't I just tell you? Sorry won't cut it this time!" She yelled directly at Pinkie's face, which was full of fear. Fluttershy's however was more cold, mean, and scary.

"Fluttershy! Stop!" Rainbow Dash said, cutting in.

"Shut up Dash! You're no different! Your just as much of a klutz as this idiot over here who can't HOLD A FREAKING CUP OF PUNCH WITHOUT SPILLING IT ALL OVER MY MANE! DO YOU HAVE A BRAIN OR WHAT?" She yelled, again directing to Pinkie who was already in tears.

"Fluttershy! Stop this now! This isn't like you! You would never call your friends this." Twilight said, hoping to get through to Fluttershy. Fluttershy however was silent for a good period of time until they noticed some tears fall down her cheeks which then turned into sobbing. The yellow pegasus broke down onto the floor after another outburst.

"No no no! I-it happened again! I really am a m-monster! Why? WHY?" She cried. After seeing the mare in this state, all of her other friends went over to Fluttershy and gave her a group hug, all of them with tears in their eyes.

"Sugarcube, your definitely not a monster." Applejack said.

"I agree. Your just a little sick." Rarity added.

"And we're here to help you." Twilight added.

"So don't be so sad Fluttershy." Pinkie added.

"Because we're not gonna let you down." Rainbow added.

Fluttershy was taken aback by this but she really needed it, so she stopped crying and embraced their friendly hug.

"Th-thank you girls. And....sorry Pinkie Pie...and you too Rainbow Dash...I didn't mean those things I said back there."

"Hey it's no problem. Right Pinkie?"

"Yup! It's not your fault Fluttershy we know that." Fluttershy let go of her friends and smiled at them.

"Do you feel better?" Twilight asked.

"A little. Thanks girls. I really needed that." Fluttershy said, afterwards yawning. "I think we should call it a night. I'm kinda tired."

"Ok. Do you want me to walk ya home?" Rainbow asked.

"Ohh! Ohh! Can I come?" Pinkie asked, earning a giggle from Fluttershy.

"Sure. Bye Twilight, Rarity and Applejack! And thanks for the game night." She said while leaving the door with Pinkie and Rainbow, all three waving, taking any board games and leftover snacks they brought with them.

"Bye girls. Be careful Fluttershy." Twilight said, waving with Rarity and Applejack. When the door closed, Twilight let out a sigh.

"Another one..." She said with a sad sigh.

"Look Twilight, we know she's going through a tough time now, but it will all be over soon. We just gotta wait for that cure and have some faith." Applejack said, lighting up Twilight's mood.

"Your right Applejack."

"Yeah...well I'm gonna go now, this was was fun and all but I gotta get home." She said.

"Same here. I'm tired. Goodbye and Goodnight Twilight. I hope Fluttershy feels better soon." Rarity said as she left with Applejack, both with whatever games they had brought with them.

"Bye girls." She said as they closed the door. Twilight then cleaned up whatever was left and went to bed herself.
