The Salamander of Equestria

They often say that people never do find their purpose in life because of their place in life and never reach their true potential. Or it cause of they were born in the wrong time of life.

In the town of Ponyville in the morning Twilight was running around the whole library as Zin just watched with amusement at her and at spike who just kept falling over asleep only for Twilight to wake him up. What was causing Twilight to do this? Why a letter from Princess Celestia which she sent early in the morning.

                   (Early This Morning)

Twilight was awake and organizing the library when she heard Spike let out a burp and a letter landed in her hand. Twilight grabbed it and began to read it.

Dear Twilight,

I am glad that you were able to find the cutie mark crusader's and I'm grateful that this Zin saved them.

I would like to invite you and your friend's along with this Zin to Canterlot, I would very much like to meet him.

Sincerely your mentor Celestia.

As soon she read this last sentence she immediately woke Spike up who just grumbled from getting woke up and she ran over to Zin room and began to bang on the door.

"ZIN WAKE UP!" she ran into the room only to see Zin on the bed siting.....already awake.

"You know any louder and you might be able to wake the dead, Twilight" Zin spoke with a eye smile causing Twilight to sheepishly smile

"Sorry, Zin"

Zin just chuckled "So what's got you in a bunch"

Twilight handed him the letter which he read. Zin looked at her and asked her "Why are we getting ready so early?"

"Because we don't to make a bad expression. we need to have everything planned that way we won't be late" As she kept going over all the reason's why they have to be early and what not.

"She is going on and on like Pinkie. Hopefully this won't take long."

              (Present time)

"Me and my big mouth "Zin thought as he still watched Twilight writing stuff down.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Spike can you get that" Spike grumbled something and went to answer the door.

Zin walked over to Twilight and put a hand on her shoulder "Twilight you need to calm down. If this princess Celestia is as loving as you say she is then she won't be mad at you so relax." Twilight looked into Zin eye's and she let out a breathe.

"Feel better?" Twilight nodded her head yes. Zin heard footsteps coming and turned to see Spike with the rest of the element's walking in well in Rainbow case hovering.

Before Zin could say anything Pinkie was behind "Behind where?" "Umm Pinkie who are you talking to?"

"To him you silly willies" Pinkie spoke while pointing a hand at the author.

"Umm Pinkie no one's there...huh" Zin started only to see she was gone and he felt a hand poke his shoulder and turned around.

"HI!" Pinkie was waving her hand. "......how did she" "Pinkie" Zin turned to look at the other's with a questioning look.

"You probably wondering how she does it but we just let it go" Twilight explained.

".....I see."

"Ok enough chit chat let's get going already!" exclaimed Rainbow as she was hovering in the air.

Zin picked his weapon up and wrapped the chain around his chest till the kusarigama handle was on his back with the blade pointing upwards toward his head.

The element's exchanged uneasy looks with each beside Pinkie who was bouncing around the place. Zin noticed their look's and reassure them that he wouldn't use it causing them to let out a breathe of relief.

"Spike make sure to keep the library clean and organized" Twilight said as she and the other's exited the library.

"Heh I keep it clean but now I can eat AND NO EATING TOO MUCH GEMS......DANG IT!" Spike yelled.

As the group walked toward the station Zin was taking in the sight's of the whole town.....and trying to answer Pinkie question's.

"So what's your favorite type of cake." Zin just looked at her with a confused look.

"What's cake?" causing her to *GASP* "You never had cake before?!" Zin just shook his head no.

"Well when we get back to Ponyville I am going to throw you a big party with all kind of cake"

Zin looked at her and eye smiled "I would like that"

They finally arrived at the station. "Ok wait here while I get the ticket's." Twilight said as she walked to the booth.

Zin just stood there waiting and watching the other's. Rainbow was arm wrestling with Applejack, Rarity was grooming her hair and Fluttershy was talking to the animals and Pinkie was.....being Pinkie.

Zin was just watching when he noticed a figure in a black cloak that was covering their head and whole body but you could see the figure mouth. As the figure got closer Zin "I got the tickets!" Twilight arrived back with the tickets and she looked at the figure and spoke "Zecora" Twilight shouted and ran over towards the cloaked figure who removed the hood and opened her cloak.

"Twilight, it's good to see you" the figure spoke with a smile. The other element's went over to her as well.

Zin looked close at the figure. He saw she had a Mohawk that was stripped striped Light gray and dark persian bluish gray. Her fur was striped light heliotropeish gray and dark bluish gray. He looked at and saw she was wearing earing on her right ear. She was also wearing jewelry that was like three rings on her neck and one on her wrist and they were all a brilliant amber. Her clothing was a dark-green, nature-inspired combat outfit (resembling a stylized bikini) and matching knee-high boots.

"Zecora what are you doing here?"

"Zecora help up a jar. "This is the reason, a jar full of manticore venom to trade." causing the girl's to gasp in shock.

"What are you doing?"

"We are on our way to meet the princess's to introduce Zin to them."

"Who is this Zin you speak."

Zin chose at this moment to walk up to them "I am Zin pleased to meet you Zecora." Zin held his hand out and Zecora looked at him and returned the handshake

"It's a pleasure to meet you, but what creature are you, for I have seen none like you."

"I am a human and the only one of this world. If you don't mind me asking you what are you?"

"I'm not pony ,but am a zebra."

"I haven't seen you around town. "I don't live here, but in the forest."

"Why would you live there?"

"Well I am a Alchemist and the forest had many ingredient's that can help me make many potion's. "what about poison?" "Yes"

"Hmm I doubt there is anything that could stop my venom" Zin thought as he grabbed his scar which Twilight saw.

"Why did he grab his scar like that?"

"What manner of creature are you"

Zin looked at Zecora and replied "I'm a human"

Zecora cocked her head to the side in confusion.

"I'm from a different world" "O"

"Yea"

"Well since Twilight find's you a friend then do I as well"

Zin was shocked at what she said but eye smiled and replied "Thank you, Zecora. Now what is this manticore you speak of?."

"How could you not know what a manticore is!?" Twilight shouted at Zin

Zin just turned and gave her a deadpanned look. "O different world." Twilight sheepishly scratched her neck.

"A manticore is a creature that lives in the Everfree forest. It has the body of a lion, a scorpion's tail, and a pair of dragon-like wings. It's tail could be used to inject venom into the person it sting's and will kill them in a day without treatment."

"I see." Zecora just looked at Zin or more specifically his weapon on his back with curiosity and Zin noticed it.

"It's called a kusarigama, a weapon made from my world."

"A deadly looking weapon, but requires great training to master." Zin looked at her "Yes"

The other girl's couldn't help but smile at the exchange of the two and plus they saw the blush on Zin face.

"Zecora it was nice to see you again but we need to get to Canterlot."

"Of course Twilight but do come visit- she looked at Zin who blushed- and you as well" she finished with a smile.

The other girl's bid their farewells to Zecora and approached the train well in Zin case he just stared at it with curiosity as they boarded it.

"So this is a train. I heard one village had built one but I never seen it nor do I remember the village name."

The girl's had already taken their seats and were staring at Zin with big grin's on their face's.

Zin train of thought was ended when he felt someone was watching him and looked at the girl's.

"......why are you all looking at me like that?"

Rainbow was the first to speak with a teasing grin "So what did you think of Zecora hmm? Or were you too busy thinking about beautiful she was?" she asked causing Zin to blush causing Rainbow to point her hand at him. "I knew it!"

Zin just shook his head "I have no idea what you talking about."

The girl's were quiet except Pinkie who was doing what she always do but still had smiles on their face's on the rest of the ride there.

Zin was still thinking about the zebra he just met. "Zecora huh."
