on new wings

as i stand atop the top of the gorge i go over everything that happened over the past week it all started with my fight with my girlfriend Emily i cant even remember what it was about but apparently it was enough to burn down my house what she didn't know  was my parents were staying in the guest room the alarm was broke so they died in that fire that all happened Monday then on Wednesday  i got fired from my job i had for 7 years i mean 7 flipping years all because the boss son wanted my position the only thing that happened that was good was that the caught her trying to get a bus ticket but that didn't last long  because my bank went under taking all my money with it now its Saturday i take one last good look around i notice something all the animals are staring at  me oh well its said that they can sense death i take the step.

i can feel the air rush past me i see im nearing the ground so i close me eyes in anticipation but it never can as i never felt the ground now that i think about i i no longer hear the wind i open my eyes to see that there nothing but inky blackness everywhere but i can still see some how then i heard what i can only explain sounds like a heard of buffalo then i heard a voice it was strong and motherly and it said

calm young one your life has been wicked and harsh i have given you  new start in a much kinder world now i know u have questions but u will not remember any of this u will only know that u are somewhere safe goodbye.the being said

wait if im going to forget this who are u. i asked

i suppose i i can answer that i am your true mother the goddess of  the sun celestia .she said

one more question why was i there and not with u. i said with a shaky voice

because i placed u there during the war with discord the chaos god.she said in her voice it was very faint but there was a small sniffle

one last thing. i said walking up to her thank you is what i said hugging her i began to feel warm and sleepy before i fell asleep felt tears on me and heard your welcome in a shaky voice.

i slowly come to in what appeared to be a field with a pond a few feet away i could see i very creepy looking forest on one side and a mountain with some kind of structure sticking out of i try to remember how i got i remember jumping then when i try to remember what happened next i cant really tell i try to remember more but it just gets foggier i put my hand on my head then i notice its white and scaly what the fuck i thought staring at it now that pay attention i seem much bigger whats happening i thought remembering the pond i get up to go to it and i fall over.

ok that was embarrassing.i said to no one in particular

ok if standing on two legs didn't work let try all four i thought to my self i walk like a baby ok this is better making my way to the water once i reach it i was staring dumb founded because looking back at me was a pristine white dragon with snow  white dragon with amber colored fins and horns now normally would have been happy as fuck but for some reason i screamed now the thing that happened if u ever played skyrim why the dragons breath fire they make a noise my scream turned in to that and in front of me was a jet of silver and white fire after that little incident it finally set in im a dragon  not thinking to check i turned my now much longer neck to look at my back sitting there were two large leathery appendages a pair of wing i can fly that one thought stuck in my head

i thought to myself lets make sure there were no more surprises nothing i could really tell aside from what i thought was a slightly long tail with a couple spikes on it with the check of my body over i noticed it was getting dark not seeing any caves or shelter hoping nothing would mess with me because im a dragon taking a note from toothless i torched the ground under me and laid down it was surprisingly nice then i let sleep take me.

i awoke to the sun glaring at me in a awkward angle i tried to go back to sleep but no that was not gonna happen so i got up my throat was dry so i went to get a drink i sat down at thought about what to  do standing up i said out loud.first things first i need to learn how to us these.fan open my wings i thought ok how hard can it be. i gave a few test flaps .ok i can do this.said out loud. i flapped my wings and felt the ground leave my feet with two more flaps i was at least 100 feet in the air and i was loving it the feel of wind.

ok now to get down this is gonna suck.i said tucking my wings and began to plummet toward the ground at the last second i open them and glided down the last 10 or so feet

saying out loud. ok now that im a dragon  i need a more dragony name Phil just dosent cut it lets see here. i thought for a few seconds .i got it .deciding to use my Wow characters name.

i am now Anicus .said boastfully

ok what now what i guess find a cave to live in and build a gold pile i guess what else can i do*sigh*well down the yellow brick road i go.with that i took off no very high just enough see above the trees after a few minutes i heard what sounded like crying setting down in a small clearing using my newly acquired dragonic hearing to track the sound to a cave i peaked inside to find what i think was a dragoness sitting there crying she was slightly smaller than me not being abell  to just leave her there like that i walk in front of the cave and in a quiet ask.

are u ok. this immediately gets her attention

what do u want here to laugh at me and attack me like all the others.she said never breaking eye contact

why would i attack u .i said in a questioning tone

because im a magic dragon and we don't have wing and are more magical then normal dragon and because of this u guy hunted us to near extinction that's why. she said in a sad tone

now that i had a good look at her she was a dawn purple with a light pink belly and fins just as she said she had no wings but this didn't make her any less beautiful.

so i have wings and u don't that doesn't make me any better than better than in fact i think that make u unique.said slowly moving forward

with a sniffle she say. u really think so .she said now stopping her crying

i know so my name is Anicus. i said  offering my claw for her to shake

and im Ruby flame. reaching out and shaking my claw

so if u don't mind me asking why were u in here crying.i said

well it kind of stupid now but it was because it thought the no one would ever be nice to me but i guess i was wrong huh.she said with a slight smile

yeah it weird how fat can deal u a weird hand every now and again huh. said with a slight chuckle

i was actually looking for a home cave or something .i said

well if u want i guess u could stay here because as far as i know there aren't any other caves around and the nearest one is near a ponie settlement .she said

ponie settlement never mind i thought .

oh ok looking at the mouth of the cave it was being to get dark well if its ok with i think i will get some sleep . said yawning

yeah ithink that would be a good idea we need some food soon .she said

torched the ground under me again and laid down
