Sonic The Hedgehog: Equestria Girls

“Give those Emeralds back Scourge!”

Sonic was giving chase to his Evil Counterpart; Scourge the Hedgehog. Scourge had stolen the Chaos Emeralds from Tails’ workshop and fled, Sonic following shortly after. They played their deadly game of chase throughout Mobius, streaks of green and blue rushing through almost every zone.

“Try n’ take ‘em from me wuss!” Scourge called back. “Once we reach the end of this zone, I’m home free!”

Sonic looked at what Scourge was talking about; the Forbidden Zone. Scourge was right; not only was it the weakest place in the Space-Time barrier, Sonic wasn’t allowed in. Desperate, Sonic used the last Boost he could muster, almost catching the green blur; but Scourge had passed the border. Sonic stopped before crossing, but Scourge started using Chaos Control to return home and take over. After a moment of hesitation, Sonic ran forward at the speed of sound and tackled Scourge. The Emeralds started sparking and circling faster and faster, a white light emanating from the center. Within seconds, the light had reached the hedgehogs.

“You IDIOT!” Scourge yelled at Sonic, “You broke my concentration! We could end up anywhere, anytime now!”

“At least BOTH our worlds will be safe from you!” said Sonic, “And if I have to go down to assure that, SO BE IT!”

The light overtook Scourge first, sucking him inside the portal. Too exhausted to even try to run, Sonic just waited for the light to overtake him. He closed his eyes and fell unconscious when he felt himself get pulled into the vortex.

Elsewhere…

“I’m afraid I can’t let you go.”

The mane 6 were just informed that a former student of Princess Celestia; Sunset Shimmer, had just taken Twilight’s crown to another world via Magic Mirror. Although they were told that Twilight would go after her, Rainbow Dash insisted that she and the other 4 go as well; but her request was denied by Celestia.

“WHAT?” yelled Rainbow, “WHY NOT?!” she was stomping her hoof in frustration.

Princess Celestia was frustrated with Ms. Dash’s lack of respect, but decided not to show it. “Sending all of you could upset the balance of this alternate world.” she said in her faked calm tone, “creating havoc that would make it impossible for Twilight to get the crown from Sunset Shimmer. This is something Twilight must do alone.”

Fluttershy had a worried expression on her face. “But what if she gets hurt or in trouble?” she said. “Or… or” she started again, but was cut off by Princess Luna.

“Fear not,” She said, a small smile on her mouth. “I have sensed that she will find an un-expected ally while there.”

Twilight nodded and started walking over to the mirror, ready to travel into this ‘new world’. She pressed her hoof towards the glass, and it felt like liquid. Startled, she stepped back. A few seconds later, she shook off her worry; and stepped through the mirror. The world around her disappeared and turned into a vortex of spinning colors. She thought she heard something behind her, but was too dizzy to think about it. When the spinning stopped, she was overtaken by a white light.

Twilight awoke from the sound of a familiar voice. “Twilight?” she looked up and recognized who was talking.

“Spike? You’re not supposed to be…” she started, but stopped when she noticed what her assistant looked like. “Spike? Are you a… DOG?” Spike started circling on the spot. He looked at himself and made sure he was not imagining things.

Once he stopped circling, he spoke up. “I… think so, but I have no idea what YOU are.”

She lifted her forelegs, only to see five… thin… things attached to her hooves. After a massive spazz attack from Twilight, both she and Spike heard sounds emanating from the portal. When the sounds stopped, somepony was ‘vomited’ from the vortex.

It was a boy, beige skin and blue spiked hair. He was wearing a white shirt and a blue vest around his upper torso. On his lower torso, he was wearing dark blue jeans. On his fore-hooves, he was wearing a pair of white gloves. On his hind-hooves, he was wearing red shoes with a white strap and gold buckle.

At first, she though he was dead; as he was not moving. But just when she was going to report it to somepony, he opened his eyes to reveal them being emerald green.

Sonic awoke what seemed like hours after his fight with Scourge. He sat up to find himself face to face with a violet-skinned girl with purple hair. The girl was wearing purple skirt with a pink star on the side and a blue old-fashion-esque shirt. On her feet were purple and pink boots that went up to her knees. She was kneeling beside a purple and green dog. “Are you OK?” she asked. “You might’ve hit your head o-or…”

“I’m fine,” said Sonic. He looked around and did not know where he was. Behind him was a statue of a horse and in front of him was a building resembling a small castle. “Where am I?” It was then he looked at his reflection. What the mirror showed was a human boy with blue spiky hair and Emerald green eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a blue vest. On his legs were dark blue jeans. He was wearing white gloves on his hands and his normal shoes on his feet. ‘Great, I’m Human’ he thought.

“I don’t know,” the girl said, seemingly talking to herself. “But I suggest we search the castle first.”

Sonic nodded and ran at full speed, reaching the door in a matter of seconds. The girl, however; was ‘running’ on all fours, her dog on her back. Sonic ran back and looked at her. To Sonic’s surprise, her dog started talking “Yeah… I don’t think that’s how the new you is supposed to…” he started, but was cut off by the girl jumping onto her feet, smiling sheepishly. Sonic again bolted towards the door, and slowed to open it and walk in. He heard a thud after closing the door. He looked back and saw that the girl had walked into the door, as if expecting it to open automatically. After her dog said something to her, she spazzed and started pulling her hair. The dog then opened the door for her and they both walked in.

Sonic looked around the room they had stepped in. There were banisters and trophies everywhere. The girl was looking at a certain group of trophies. “What do you think Spike?” she asked her dog. “Other artifacts she’s stolen from Equestria?” Sonic knew something was up at that point. He walked over to her, tapped her on the shoulder; and gave her that ‘What is going on?’ look.

“Walking on all fours, Equestria…” said the boy. “Who are you? And what is going on with you?”

Twilight sighed and started whispering to Spike. She nodded and faced him again. “My name is Twilight Sparkle. I am an alicorn princess from the magical land of Equestria, which the dominant species are Ponies, and this is my assistant Spike. He is a dragon where we come from.”

Despite her initial thoughts on his reaction, he started laughing. “At least I’m not the only one stuck in another dimension!” he started shaking her fore-hoof. “Nice to meet you Twilight, I’m Sonic; Sonic the Hedgehog.”

They continued to look around. After a long moment of silence, Sonic spoke up. “This doesn’t seem like a castle,” he said, “it looks more like…” he was cut off by a bell ringing.

Sonic jumped onto one of the many recently-noticed lockers lining the walls. People started filling up the room and hallways. ‘High School… great’
