During the last course of an hour of class time, the little colts and fillies were hard at work writing down answers on their sheets full of mathematical equations. There were plenty of trials and errors, but ‘super teacher’ Miss Cheerilee was finally seeing some results.
…the results of her upcoming concussion kicking back in.
She was grateful that she kept extra prescription pills in her desks draws; because, apparently, getting a serious migraine can significantly have the same effects as to slamming your head.
For every math problem she tried to explain and for every paper she looked over to grade, Cheerilee was met with nothing but failure on every one of them. And this was just simple mathematics for the past few hours; Addition and Subtraction. They haven’t even dwelled in the region of Multiplication and Division….yet. Cheerilee prayed to the Royal Sisters to give her strength when the time comes.
It’s going to be a long day…
Soon enough, the little dumbassess were giving their recess. Cheerilee has even given them an extra hour of free time. The whole class didn’t waste a single second and immediately ran out, leaving their teacher alone to recuperate herself.
“Celestia knows I’m going to need every second of it…”Cheerilee muttered aloud in the now vacant classroom.
While she rested her throbbing head on her desk, the colts and fillies are left with their own agenda of a nice long session of play time. After all, it’s such a beautiful day out in the afternoon, especially when it’s the season of spring. Most of the little colts played with the ball in the open field, being careful not to be too far from school grounds, while other colts were occupied with different activities. The fillies either hang around the small jungle gym set to stretch and play, or stood to the side to talk with one another.
Pip was out and about as normally….with the exception of some minor differences. He has some band-aids on certain places of his face, as well as a makeshift icepack wrapped around his head. All in all, the nurse did a half-ass job on bandaging up the young earth pony colt. He can barely see with the ridiculously large icepack obscuring his vision, thus causing him to wonder around aimlessly and constantly bumping into anything and everypony in the way.
It was mildly entertaining and somewhat sad.
“Poor Pipsqueak.” sympathies Sweetie Belle. She watched the little colt alongside with her two best friends, Applebloom and Scootaloo. “Something bad always happens to him.”
“Oh, he’ll be fine.” Scootaloo reassured with a nonchalant shook of her hoof. “Pip has been through worst. Remember that time he brought in a Diamond Puppy for show and tell a few months ago?”
“…yeah.” Applebloom answered, although she wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about it as her Pegasus friend was. “’Da little pup was cute, but ‘da horde of ‘dem Diamond Dogs lookin’ fo’ ‘dere youngan’ were scary. ‘Dey captured everypony in ‘da school and force us to dig fo’ gems. It was horrible.”
“Yeah, but Rainbow Dash swooped in and kicked all their butts! It was awesome!”
“’Dey still took away Pip fo’ slavery.” the red bow wearing farm pony deadpanned.
“Twilight and the others rescued him, didn’t they?”
“Three days later.”
“Details, details. But anyways, have you guys notice how strange Miss Cheerilee was acting today?” the purple mane Pegasus asked, effectively changing the topic from the well beings of her classmate into something else far more concerning and interesting. And like fish to a bait of worms, her two friends were immediately hooked.
“Oh yeah, she was banging her head.” Sweetie Belle pitched in, remembering the initial sequences her teacher did. “Quite a lot, actually. Then she ate some oddly shaped candy. I wonder why Miss Cheerilee didn’t share any of her candy with us.”
“Ah reckon those aren’t really candy, Sweetie…” Applebloom stated, while she looked through a window to the classroom. She witnessed her teacher gobble down a small container full of ‘candy’, some of them spilling on her face and on the floor. The farm filly looked back over to her companions. “If ah could take a wild guess, ah’ll say ‘dem be pills Miss Cheerilee is taken. Miss Cheerilee must be feelin’ down in ‘da dumps ‘bout somethin’.”
Scootaloo rubbed her hoof on her chin in thought. “That’s unusual. Normally, Miss Cheerilee is always happy, never sad or depress.” This was true. Every day during school, Cheerilee barely shows any signs of misery. She was always cheerful. It’s, like, literally in her name. “What could have caused her to be so depressed?”
“Maybe she’s so miserable about our grade point averages in this week’s lesson being so low that all of her efforts into helping us to do better are all going in vain.” Sweetie Belle interjected in a very well collaborate and perfectly profound manner. Scootaloo and Applebloom both stare at their white unicorn friend for a good 5 seconds.
“….Sweetie…that’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard!” Scootaloo retorted.
“Yeah!” Applebloom added. “Ah have ya know ‘dat we are good with our methma-- Mathific-- Mathatha-- with ‘dem fancy numbers!”
“Oh…” Sweetie glanced down, scrapping a hoof on the dirt ground feeling a little more than just embarrassment. “I…I guess that was a stupid assumption.”
“Don’ worry ‘bout it, Sweetie. It happens to ‘da best of us.” The yellow earth pony reassured, rubbing a confronting hoof on her friend’s shoulder. While she did that an idea struck into her head, making her beam in excitement. “Oh, ah know! Why don’ we do somethin’ to help make Miss Cheerilee feel better?! We may even earn our Cutie Marks from it!”
Sweetie Belle perked up on the mentioning attempts for a Cutie Mark. “Yeah, that sounds like a great idea!”
“Bring it in girls!” As Scootaloo said this the three of them place their hooves on one another’s for the usual cheering salute.
“Cutie Mark Crusaders--….um, Cutie Mark…Crusaders…”
They each have confused facial expressions.
“What are we trying to earn for a Cutie Mark exactly?” the orange Pegasus asked.
“…um…well…” Applebloom thought for a moment. “…uhhh, Miss Cheerilee’s a teacher…and she is upset….and we’re tryin’ to help her…ah don’ know, ’Happy Teacher Helper’?”
Not comprehending how stupid that sounded, the two fillies agree to this and restarted in their position. “Cutie Mark Crusaders Happy Teacher Helper! Cutie Mark Crusaders Happy Teacher Helper! Yay!” With a positive shout on the salute they began coming up with suggestions that may come in handy.
Sufficed to say, they were horrible ideas.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Ponyville…
“Please?”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please with a cherry on top?”
“No.”
“Pretty please with a cherry on top with colorful sprinkles?”
“No!”
“Pretty please with a cherry on top with colorful sprinkles and whip cream along with a bits of strawberries--“
“Pinkie.”
“--and coated in chocolate syrup with even more colorful sprinkles and an extra cherry and--“
“Pinkie!”
“--with a 2/3 cup of powder sugar although there’s plenty enough sugar on it but you can never have too much sugar and a tiny dab of honey for flavor along with--“
“Pinkie!”
The kitchen of Sugarcube Corner fell silent from Carrot Cake’s, or formally known as Mr. Cake, the orange pony stallion owner of the bakery, yelled from the top of his lungs. He took this time of opportunity to gain back his composer with steady deep breathing. For nearly the last hour or so, Pinkie Pie, upon her recent return from doing…..’Pinkie stuff’, has begged, pleaded, and, surprisingly, annoyed him to no end. Why? You’ll find out right after this next paragraph.
When she first returned back to the bakery, Pinkie Pie immediately confronted Mr. Cake and began her tale from the beginning then up to this point. Quite literally; from when she woke up with a smile, said good morning to her pet alligator Gummy, her toys and imaginary friends, to the sun, and everypony within the household. Then she ate breakfast, oats’meal with toast, apple juice, and cupcakes. She gave small vivid details on the taste, concluding her morning meal tasted ‘Yummzie Mummzie’. Then she went around Ponyville singing at least 20 different songs and manages to start a musical with half of them. The remaining 10 were copyrighted and she didn’t want to get in trouble with the authorities’. The rest of her story was just her basically bouncing around town , making other ponies happy, seeing her friends, breaking logic; the usual every day ‘Pinkie stuff’. The orange earth pony stallion was force to listen to every detail. Finally, Pinkie got to the point of what really matters. She went out for a quick stroll outside of town. Then she came upon this big green spotted egg right next to the Everfree Forest. She was fascinated and complex to why the egg was all alone out in the open. The egg, for some reason, reminded Pinkie of her timid friend Fluttershy. So she thought, ‘what will Fluttershy do?’
And that’s when Pinkie stepped aside revealing the large egg to Mr. Cake, despite the fact said egg was twice as big and massive than the pink pony and she somehow kept it hidden behind her.
Carrot Cake learned to never question these things a long time ago. However, he held his ground firmly on one simple fact; that egg is not staying in his house, whatever it is!
“Pinkie…please, don’t make this anymore difficult.” The baker pony requested in a calm tone.
Pinkie glanced up to her boss/father-figured/friend/love interest/co. party host/boss again/backup dancer/landlord with a gloomy expression. Her sparkling blue eyes shone with pleading hope that he’ll change his mind. “But…but why not? It’ll be super fun and I’ll have a new friend!”
Carrot Cake sighed while rubbing his head. Sometimes, Pinkie can be pretty imprudent. “It’s just….well, c’mon, Pinkie. Just look at it. It’s a giant egg!”
“I know! Isn’t it super-duper cool!” the pink party pony stated cheerfully while lightly bouncing in-place, suddenly out of her gloomy faze.
Carrot Cake sighed again and shook his head in disapproval. “No, Pinkie, no. That’s not it at all. You brought along an unknown wild creature in Ponyville, let only into my shop.”
“Yep!” She answered almost immediately, still bouncing on the spot.
“Which you found near the Everfree Forest.”
“Uh huh!”
“A dangerous place where dangerous animals and monsters live.”
“Mmhmm!”
“One of those creatures is the parent of their missing egg, which means they may be searching for it.”
“Yep, yep, yep!” Mr. Cake stares at Pinkie with a knowing stare and a not amuse expression. She picked up on it right away and ceased her bouncing. “Oh. Heh, heh…I see now…”
Mr. Cake sighed for the umpteenth time that day. Ever since that day when Pinkie graced his and his wife, Cup Cake, lives with her presence they treated her like family. She helped out with the bakery shops sales pitch more than enough times. They made absolute exceptions for her, especially the constant, almost near nonstop parties and other shenanigans. Even when the twins, Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake were born, they still made exceptions.
…however, there was only one thing, only one exception that Mr. Cake gravely regretted. It was allowing Pinkie to keep that freak of nature, toothless alligator named Gummy as her pet. It was the creepiest thing, among all others, that the orange pony stallion has to with live in his own home. If it wasn’t for Caramel for tricking him into playing that goddess awful Slenderpony game, he would of saw Gummy under a different light. Man that game was so damn scary. It didn’t help that Gummy, in some ways, acts just like that evil pony. Whenever you look the other way, there’s Gummy, out of nowhere within your eyesight…staring at you…like he’s plotting something. And when you look away and turn back, he’s gone! All is Gummy missing is that creepy ‘bong’ noise whenever he appears.
Carrot Cake visibly shudders at the thought of that happening.
He threw his attention back on the young mare before him. “I hope you understand, Pinkie, and don’t be sad. But please, for the sake of all Ponyville-- and my sanity,” he muttered that last part under his breath, “return this poor, homesick, family missing creature back to the forest. You don’t want its angry mommy and daddy rampaging through our fair town, do you?”
Pinkie audibly gasped with wild eyes. “E’ GASP! YOU’RE RIGHT! HOW CAN I BE SO FOOLISH?!” With all haste, she began to roll the large egg out of the kitchen, through the front door, and outside of the gingerbread house bakery. “I better get you back to your family! They must be really worried about you!” She stated while rolling the egg through town, ignoring all of the odd stares from the nearby pony citizens.
The pony baker chuckled to himself for a job well done and for dodging a bullet. Continuing where he left off with his baking, Mr. Cake turned to get some needed ingredients from the refrigerator. He jump backwards and yelped, nearly getting a heart attack. Gummy was staring at him from on top of the refrigerator. Mr. Cake closed his eyes and tried to steady his racing heart beats.
“G-gummy! You-- you nearly scared the Tartarus out--“ When he looked up, Gummy was gone. Mr. Cake whimpered to himself while silently continuing his work.
As fast as her four legs can go-- which in this case is the speed of light-- Pinkie Pie rolled the egg out of Ponyville, heading straight for the same exact spot where she first discovered it. In fact, she was so completely focus on her destination, the green weird looking, bi-pedal creature thing went unnoticed even when she bypasses it.

EARLIER…
Walking straight through a field of luxurious green grass and flowers took some stress off of Yoshi’s mind. After defeating the vile yellow devil (no reference intended)a while ago, the green reptile has been pretty moody as of late. Understandable. He’s been wondering around for the past few hours in a place that seemingly resembles the Underwhere itself, only a little nicer.
…okay, Yoshi never been to the Underwhere before. He doesn’t even know where it’s located. In fact, he never heard of the place. But if that’s the case, then how did he know what that term means…?
…anyways, the green reptile pressed onward. His main concern is finding those three missing Flowers. It still mind boggles him that special items like those just disappeared. Unless some other Yoshi got a hold of them. But if that was true then his chalkboard would have told him so. Every Yoshi’s chalkboard messages the other Yoshi on the updated items that have been collected if they are in that same area of the island. It just works that way.
Yoshi never questioned it…
His line of thought was broken when he looked forward and saw a very strange sight. His egg. The egg containing that ‘succubus’ was being rolled around by another one of those four legged creatures, only pink all over. Yoshi only saw them briefly pass by when he blinked in confusion.
“Don’t worry; you’ll be reunited with your mommy and daddy!” Announced the pink creature while rolling Yoshi’s egg across the ground. The pair quickly disappeared from sight.
The heck was that about? Yoshi looked so puzzled. He shrugged, not caring anymore. He merely just continued onward without much knowledge to where he was or to go. That’s one of the many treats about Yoshi; he never stops to ask for directions, only relying on his instincts like a real man-- uhh, male reptilian! Eventually, Yoshi saw buildings a few feet away from him. On closer inspection it was a whole town. To Yoshi’s surprise there was a whole civilization of those four legged creatures, only each one is colorful than the next. Are they all Succubuses’? Where in the world did Yoshi stumble into? If he paid attention, he’ll notice a sign right next to him that reads, ’Welcome to Ponyville, where all *Ponies** are welcome to our small Pony community full of PONIES…and a dragon’*.
He wasn’t going to take the risk. The green reptile swiftly hid himself behind one those small buildings made of wood and the roofing material were sticks of straws. Using his awesome sneaking skills (Pffbah Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha! Really?!), the green reptile manages to not make nearly enough noise to attract attention to himself. He unnecessarily did a bunch of maneuvers such as rolling, sidestepping, ducking, and throwing himself from various hiding places and alleyways. This process was repeated until he made his way across town. If there’s one thing he learned about his numerous escapades on Yoshi’s Island, it’s usually the dangerous places that held what you need. Yoshi was positive the Flowers were here in this very town.
At least, he hopes so…
Along the way of his ‘sneaking’, Yoshi just so happens upon a farm-like setting with very few buildings, a shed, and some crops field. It even smelled like a farm…implying if he knew what a farm smells like. Its landscape of orchards was filled with trees full of apples. At least, it was once filled with trees full of apples.
Yoshi was really hungry…
After having his ‘snack’, the green reptile continues his search elsewhere, feeling absolute guilt for having the munchies on someone else’s hard work on plantation (he really didn’t give a shit. After all, food is food, and that’s his story and he’s sticking with it). He burped loudly, satisfied that his stomach is happily full for the next ten seconds. Those were some damn good apples. He should have saved some for later. Once he finds those Flowers, perhaps he’ll come back and horde a few for the Spear Guy tribes. That will make a nice apology gift for his actions back in the jungle.
Better than giving them his head.
As the totally not thieving and not property violating reptilian made his way through town unseen, he got a good look at the lifestyle of these decisive and life sucking monsters. He notices that they kind of live the same way his native people do. To their credit, they have a lot more going for them, and the setup display of their home is pretty good. They have a nice flowing river connected to a big lake. There’s this big constructed building in the middle of the open town, mostly where he’ll see more of them thrive around. There’s also a statue of one of them in a fountain, balancing on a stone ball. Yoshi guess it’s their leader or someone of legend, since his village has several stone statues of legendary Yoshi’s of lore. He hope to get a stone statue of his own one day, preferably detailing his great leadership skills and his many, many achievements (Yoshi is a horrible leader and he hasn’t accomplished a damn thing in his life).
While the green reptile kept himself hidden underneath a fruit stand, miraculously not being spotted by anyone, his eyes widen at the sight of the most beautiful thing ever. It was a building made entirely out of sugar coated pastries. His mouth watered. He can smell the delicious flavors of cakes, cookies, and the likes from it. With enough speed to finish a marathon within a second, Yoshi was already there.
He could literally eat this master piece of craftsmanship build by the gods themselves with a flick of his tongue. The only thing keeping him from doing it was the trailing aroma leading him towards the window in the back. He peeked inside, seeing another succubus with yellow coat and a darker shade of hair color. He saw it was attending to a three layer red velvet cake with white icings and cherries. Yoshi smack his saliva covered lips with hypnotic eyes.
He must have that cake!
The creature seems to be putting on the final touches, too distracted to notice the sweets craving reptilian quietly open the backdoor and slither along the ground like snake. He hid himself somewhere in the kitchen, unintentionally knocking over a broom stick which hit the flooring with a slight clatter.
The yellow creature immediately shifted all of its attention towards the sweeping tool down on the floor. “G-gummy? Was that you again?” It, now confirming as a he-- Yoshi wondered for a brief moment what are male succubus called. Man-bus? Whatever. --held up a wooden spoon in one of his legs in defense, shifting his eyes from left to right. The ‘manbus’ failed to acknowledge the long pink tongue wrapped around his cake and being snagged away a second later. “…I swear, if that lizard wasn’t so helpful with the twins I would of kicked him out a long ti--“ The yellow ‘manbus’ had never completed that sentence when he turned back to see no cake. It was gone. He felled to the floor and threw both of his front legs in the air. “GUUUMMMMMMMMMMMY!!!!”
Yoshi was long gone by the time the creature screamed. He licked the rest of the frosting off of his big, round, green nose along with the donuts and muffins he manages to snag in the mini-frig. That was a damn good cake. These four legged monsters sure know how to bake. Perhaps he’ll consider capturing one or two of them and give them away as a peace offering to the Spear Guy tribes.
Again, better than his head.
A little while later, the green reptile happens upon what appears to be a clock tower sitting on top of a hill near town. It reminded him of the many fortresses and castles he may take the time to explore, only smaller. Curious, Yoshi walked inside, and a brief second later he promptly walked out leaving the scene. The whole tower fell apart in rubble.
Many nearby ponies rushed over to see what happened. When the dust settles, the head of Ditzy ‘Derpy’ Doo pops out from the broken pile. She notices the annoyed expressions on the faces of the fellow town ponies.
“….I know what you’re thinking,” she began, her hooves up in defense.
While Yoshi continues with his search he was also doing some observations. He (surprisingly) understood that there are different variations of these succubus creatures. There are types with wings that can fly around, much like the yellow and pink hair winged one he encounter before, and for the other two types that don’t have wings and mainly walk on the ground. One of the wingless creatures has a single horn on its head, while the other one doesn’t have any distinguishing features, but instead look normal. Yoshi also realized one other important aspect; they all each have their own symbol on their….butts? For what propose, Yoshi doesn’t know, but for the most part he doesn’t care.
Much like anything else that doesn’t involve with the missing Flowers. His Flowers. The ones he need. Right now!
For over an hour, Yoshi search all over the place and kept himself hidden to the best of his abilities. He wasn’t making any good progress, sadly. But he won’t give up! Every now and then, he’ll break an entry into some of these creatures’ homes and/or shops to feast on their food and take whatever looks shiny; somehow, without getting caught. It’s all in the natural natures and instincts of a Yoshi. He and his fellow brethren do this all the time.
…plus, Yoshi really likes shiny things…
After awhile of sneaking around town, Yoshi stumble upon a red building with a bell on top of its roof. There was also a flagpole with red flag on the front lawn. If Yoshi remembers correctly on anything he learned about flags and their colors (surprisingly on the fact he actually learned anything), the color of a flag represents a meaning to a culture and a place of nations. Yoshi deduced with the flag being all red that he’s up against a population that bath in their enemies’ blood and harvest their organs. He’s starting to wonder if this hidden secret area is meant to stay hidden and a secret. The place looks sketchy; however, it’s the only area Yoshi haven’t investigated yet. As the green reptile got closer he heard some voices within the area, directly coming from the other side of the building.
Being tactical of the situation, he rushes over to a nearby bush and ripped the roots out of the ground with his bare four fingered hand. Yes, Yoshi is boss like that (i…I don’t have a combat for this...). The leafy bush itself was fairly large enough to conceal his whole body, even when he’s standing up straight. Moving at an evenly slow and quick pace, the bush disguise reptilian made his way around back. He came upon a playground setup area with these little young looking creatures running around, playing and talking to one another. This was an interesting discovery for Yoshi. Childlike versions of the older succubus’s he encounter thus far. What are they called? Kid-bus? Young-bus? Yoshi will work on the names later…
For a quick moment he lured his attention on the big red building. What was this place anyways, some sort of school-like nursery to raise and teach the little creatures to become great demon kings and queens or something? Was this really happening underneath somewhere on Yoshi’s Island? His island? His home?
Yoshi wished there was some fuzzies nearby…
Being as careful as he can, Yoshi maneuver his way towards one of the windows on the building, staying away from the active younglings as much as possible. By the time he got to the window, the green reptile cautiously took a look through. He saw, unsurprisingly, another one of those succubuses’s. This one was normal, sporting a red-violet coat and its hair and tail was pink with a streak of lighter pink down the middle. ‘It’ seems to be female and she has her head rested on a desk….sleeping, maybe? The colors and style wasn’t new to Yoshi at the slightest. The real kicker was when his eyes travel further down; he nearly choked on his own tongue when he saw her symbol. The green reptile’s eyes double in size. His long search has come to an end.
There it was.
What he’s been looking for.
What he’s been fighting for.
The three missing Flowers!
His Flowers!
Right there…on her butt…
…okaaaay?
Well….problem and mystery solved. Stage 1 was completed and now it’s time for Stage 2. He found the Flowers. Yoshi mentally imagine an audience applauding towards him for a job well done. Who would have thought they’ll be in the company of these four legged creatures. But now a new problem arises.
…how will he retrieve them…?
==========================================
Right on the very edge of the Everfree Forest, Pinkie Pie was giving her last farewell to the large egg she discovered. She hugged the hard shell fondly and as necessarily long as she can, as if the pink party pony is about to say goodbye to a friend. In a since she is…unknown to her knowledge.
“I’m going to miss you Eggy! We could have had so much fun together, but I know your missing you mommy and daddy even more!” announced Pinkie, trying her best to not shed a tear in a drama-induce climactic moment.
She must remain a strong mare, for the both of them.
The egg slightly wiggled in response.
“What’s that, Eggy? You’re going to miss me to?” She asked.
‘Eggy’ wiggled again.
“Oh, Eggy…I hope we’ll be the bestest of best friends when we finally meet again someday when you hatch!” Pinkie gave the green spotted egg a final onceover with the hug. She’s really going to miss ‘Eggy’. Pinkie tried her best to forced the aching sadness away and bring up a small smile. She wished Fluttershy was here with her. That yellow Pegasus really knows how to handle these situations a lot better than herself. “Now that I’m thinking about it, I haven’t seen Fluttershy all day. She wasn’t in her cottage taking care of her animals like she usually do. …but…I can’t shake away the feeling that she was always with me this whole time. As if, Fluttershy is by my side, precisely right next to me…in spirit!”
With that considered factual Pinkie proceed to say goodbye to her egg friend…
…by shoving the egg into a small river bank. The egg bobbles around in the flowing water traveling into the dark forest, despite the fact that the rivers current is moving away from the forest, the egg is somehow moving deep inside.
Logic is not safe around Pinkamena Diane Pie.
“Goodbye Eggy! I hope you’ll find your parents! Make sure to write! Come visit Sugarcube Corner sometime, okay?! You might scare the town folks but I’ll be sure to vouch for you!” Pinkie waved goodbye ecstatically until the very speck of the egg disappeared from view. She steadily sighed in weird mixture of content and depression. She knew what the symptoms are and knew what she has to do for the cure…
“PARTY TIME!!!” Pinkie screamed excitedly as she bounced away with god-like agility that’ll make Rainbow Dash herself ripped her wings off in a grudging gruesome jealously.
Deep in the Everfree Forest, the egg containing the timid Pegasus gently flow across the musky water, being stalked upon by the many wild inhabitations within the forests. Their piercing glazes follow the egg carelessly moving along the river bank.
Fluttershy couldn’t be any more grateful she’s trapped inside the confines of her prison.
