Chapter One - Nopony's Friend
Vinyl and Octavia trotted up a dirt road passing by houses, screaming "ZOMBIES ZOMBIES!", trying to alert everypony, but nopony woke up. They felt a bit down by this, but knew that it was better to save themselves than to risk their lives and get killed for nothing. They didn't worry about discussing it; after all, great minds think alike. But in their case it was just a matter of will I die or live, which in this case they decided to keep themselves alive and leave the rest for dead. And it all seemed so easy, just forgetting about anypony else, the thought of everypony dying from being eaten and torn apart by teeth of other ponies...it got to their heads, they pondered it as they ran along the road dodging zombies left and right. All this...the blood, the bullets, the screams, the death, one word went through there heads...
Raiders

At about 6:30 in the morning, the two arrived at a safehouse. The sun was out and the zeds weren't, which was good for them, given that they had no supplies whatsoever. They decided to sit down at a shady spot under a tree and examine the area. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, and there was lots of tall grass and wood nearby. The sky was mostly overcast, sometimes bringing small, light showers of rainwater. The main thing it brought was shade. This, in the summer time, plus the cool wind and occasional showers made the weather feel just perfect. Every once in a while there would be some spider or beetle crawling across the dirt. Sometimes just a bee to piss the two off and leave after a couple of minutes. There were no zeds, and that was a good thing, and they were hoping it would stay that way.
They made their way closer to the wood and noticed a river, and some live ash from a fire. It was obviously recent, and the hoofprints of the ponies who made it were obviously leading in one single direction. That direction was deeper into the woods. The two newbie raiders looked at each other and nodded. It seemed they had both agreed that it was time for their first raid. They looked up at the sky and saw a tower of smoke heading eastward into the woods. They walked in that direction using their pistols to move briers and thorns out of their way. They stayed on a trail to keep from making loud crunching sounds in the leaves. Once they heard talking, they got down low and proceeded with caution.
"Ha! I remember that!" one of the stallions said with a Coke by his side. He popped the top off and took a big swig. "Ah, buck, that's some good stuff!" he said.
"Would you shut your mouth?" a mare said jokingly. "Your going to attract zombies or raiders!"
"Yeah right. What kind of pony would be out raiding after just 2 days?" the stallion replied.
"You'd be surprised," Octavia interrupted holding her gun out at their heads.
The stallion swore under his breath. "Watch your mouth, will you?" Octavia said again, firing her gun at his shoulder. The stallion screamed in pain as the bullet tore through his bone and disabled his arm from being strong enough to move.
"Guys, I hate to break it to you," Vinyl said. "But we are the raiders, and we need some living supplies, and we will be nice enough to kill you right away so go ahead and make your choice."
"But...we have just known each other for a month, we were just engaged!" Said the mare.
"Sucks," Vinyl said laughing.
"You can't do that!" the mare shouted again.
"Watch me," Vinyl said. She flipped her pistol around and beat the stallion half to death with it.
"NO! STOP!!!" The mare screamed, running to Vinyl. Vinyl pushed her down and shot all four of her knees.
"If you can shut up, I'll show you what I can do," Vinyl said.
"Vinyl, go ahead and kill them already, we don't need all of Equestria to know we are taking things!" Octavia said.
"Vinyl!?!??" the mare shouted. "Like DJ PON3?"
"Yeah, you get to spend your last minutes with your boyfriend and a big star, how nice!" Vinyl said aiming the gun to the mares head.
"NO!" the mare screamed again.
"Oh okay I'll take him out first," she said.
"WAIT WAIT WAIT!"
"No second chances!" Vinyl shouted, firing 3 rounds into the stallions head.
"NO!!!" the mare screamed. She kept screaming loudly, trying to alert a nearby horde. Without haste, Vinyl got a knife off the ground and took out the mare's tongue, the next thing Octavia heard was a loud incision, with a moan of pain. Octie looked back to see a blood streaming from the mare's mouth and a tongue on the dirt. She looked up to see Vinyl holding a bloody knife.
"Let's finish you off now," Vinyl said taking the knife and jabbing the knife in her throat in and out repeatedly. The mare was still choking and coughing up blood. Vinyl got tired and stepped on her throat until she heard a snap, when that didn't kill the mare, she just fired her last three rounds into the pony.
"Alright Octie," Vinyl said. "Get the stuff, lets go."
"Wow, I didn't know you had that in you Vinyl..." Octavia said staring at the mutilated corpse.
"We are raiders, Octavia. We are nopony's friend. We live for ourselves and ourselves only, no one is a friend in the apocalypse.".
"You do have a point..." Octavia picked up a set of saddlebags. "Let's go find a place to camp."

Chapter Two - Raider's Paradise
"Hey Octie, it's another camp site!" Vinyl said, pointing to another large bunch of smoke in the air.
"Careful, this camp may be different than the others," Octavia said. She pondered the setting of a large camp for a minute. "I just thought of something!"
"What is it?" Vinyl asked.
"Well how about this. Nopony's expecting any raiders, we can just go up to them and ask for shelter!" Octavia said. "In other words, we can use deception to get what we need, and maybe even what we want!"
"Haha!" Vinyl replied. "That's a great idea come on!"
The two approached the camp, there were about four stallions and one mare, and she didn't look like she made the choice to be there either. She was tied up to a wooden pole, her face was miserable, and she was breathing heavily with tear stains on her face. The four stallions were drunk, and there was evidence that the mare had been raped. Unfortunately, there was also the evidence that the four stallions were thinking about doing it again. Which in this case gave a perfect distraction for Vinyl and Octavia.
"Alright so here's my plan..." Vinyl said. "We're going to wait until they start again with their hanky panky, and then kill them."
"All of them?" Octavia asked.
"Depends."
"On what?"
"If the mare pisses me off like the other one did."
"Mmmkay..."
More time passed and one of the stallions untied her and threw her in a tent after violently beating her with a whip.
"Come on! Hurry up!" the stallion said impatiently. "You're just going to make it harder on yourself, or in yourself I should say! PFFT HAHA!" He laughed maniacally.
"Hey Josh, you get Abe and Patrick to go over there, you can guard the back of the camp!" He ordered.
"Yessir!" Josh said. He then passed on the orders to the others. They stood in the front.
"Alright, that guy in the tent is going to be way too distracted to do hear us, just trust me with this, I grabbed a silencer from the other camp, it doesn't work on my weapon. Go ahead and use it I'll get the first two over here."
"Got it," Octie said.
"Hello? Is somepony out there? I need help please!" Vinyl said, making her voice higher to attract the stallions over.
"Hey Pat, did you hear that?" Abe asked.
"Yeah it sounded like a mare," Pat said. They looked at each other and grinned. They walked forward to the bushes.
"Did I hear somepony?" he said in an innocent voice.
"Yeah you did, prick," Octie said, firing her pistol at his face, then turned and did the same to the other pony. Octie spotted the other one coming up to the front of the camp. She shot him in the neck and watched him choke on his own blood and die. She walked up closer and heard the mare in the tent.
"This will be fun..." Vinyl said entering the tent. She grabbed the stallions face and threw him on the ground. Then, she took her knife and stabbed his shoulder. "Take out his knees Octie," Vinyl said. Octavia shot all of his leg joins. "You know what happens, when a stallion in the apocalypse decides to rape innocent mares?" Vinyl said to the stallion. Vinyl looked between his legs. "They loose the ability to do it again." She took out her knife, and did away with his you know what. He screamed. She slit his throat and kept stabbing him over and over and over again until he was dead. Meanwhile, the mare was staring at him in horror.
"Th...thank you...ma'am." she said.
"Could you please put your bloody legs together? That is kinda distracting," Vinyl said blocking her sight of the mare's vagina. The mare blushed and brought her legs together. "So Octie, should we take her in or kill her?" Vinyl asked.
"Well, we need to know if she's up to the job," Octavia explained.
"What...what job?" the mare asked.
"Well, first of all," Vinyl said. "what is your name?"
"My name..." the mare said, "is Carrot Top..."
"Oh, I know you!" Vinyl said again. "I'm DJ PON-3, ya know Vinyl Scratch, and that's Octavia. We are raiders, and we don't usually trust anypony, we just killed an engaged couple and took their stuff, and now we just killed a rapist and took his balls with him. Wanna join us?"
"If it means my survival and revenge then sure." Carrot Top said. "Could you um...untie me maybe, I'd really like to...clean up, I don't normally talk to people like this."
"Sure," Vinyl said. She untied Carrot Top and let her go to the medical tent.
"Octie, I think we can use this base," Vinyl said.
"Yeah, I think it's a nice place," Octie replied.

Chapter Three - Unexpected Intrusion
The tents where crowded, the sheets in the tents were wet with sweat and some with traces of various liquids not to be spoken of. They smelled bad, looked bad, and weren't fit for sleeping in. The three got rid of the sheets and saved them for a camp fire when someone could stand guard in case of other raiders. They were all tired; Vinyl and Octavia had been traveling all day, Carrot Top had been beaten, raped, and tormented all day, and it was about 7:49 PM. Carrot Top went to bed at about 7:53, and went to sleep at 7:56. Octavia went to bed and to sleep about ten minutes after.
As for Vinyl, she wasn't as tired as the others and decided to stay outside and feel the cool summer breeze of the night. After feeling the wind calmly blow though her mane, she heard something she didn't like. She looked over and saw another dark figure with no forelegs. She knew it was a zed, but not one she had ever seen before. She took out her magnum and got a flash light. Then, she slowly walked up to the thing, and when she shined the light on it's face it let out a deafening scream. She shot it immediately and ran back to the tent that Carrot and Octie were in.
"What in Equestria was that?!" Octavia asked trembling with fear, Carrot Top came out of her tent to enter the conversation.
"I don't know, I know it screams and it attracts the horde, these guys have lots of AK-47's and ammo for them, they also have some Desert Eagles. It's a lot better that...little..." Vinyl said looking at Octavia's M12 Nova Pistol. "Poor excuse of a pistol, now come on I can hear the zeds hurry up!" Octavia dropped her M12 and picked up two Desert Eagles. Carrot Top took the M12, and Vinyl got an AK-47. "Here they come!!!" She shouted holding up her weapon. About twenty-six zeds burst through the camp entrance. Before shooting Vinyl looked at the dead corpse of the rapist they never got rid of. She had a plan. She walked over to it and took out her knife, then she cut out both his eyes with a large piece of flesh off his face.
"HEY ZOMBIES!" she shouted, waving the flesh in the air with her bloody hand. All the zeds looked at her. She threw the flesh over in the middle of the camp to distract them. "COME AND GET IT!" All of the zeds ran over to get the meat. They started fighting each other, which killed off about half of them. All three of the mares fired their weapons at the zeds, with the exception of Carrot Top, who fired once and fell back from the fire power of the weapon. Once all the zeds had been killed, Octie helped Carrot Top up off the ground.
"You might need a little practice with that weapon," Octavia said laughing.
"Yeah...I guess so," Carrot Top said, picking the pistol back up. "I've never shot a gun before, not even a dart gun."
"Well, it's time you learn how."

When they all had went to sleep, it seemed as if they had rested for two minutes and woke up. It was 11:53 in the morning, and Carrot Top had to learn how to shoot. Octavia, being the first to wake up and get out of bed, went ahead and prepared a little somethin'-somethin'. She grabbed some planks and a hammer from the base. She poked the planks into the ground and used the hammer to make them stay. It was exactly three planks, about two meters each in lenth, six and a half centimeters in width. She drug all of the corpses to each plank, on the exception of the rapist, who Vinyl had earlier made sure to keep to herself for other zed attacks. Octavia grabbed three long nails and used the hammer to jab them through the face of the three dead stallions to keep them up on each plank. When she was done, she put up the tools and went to Carrot's tent.
"Psst...Carrot Top," She whispered, poking Carrot Top repetitively.
"Wh...what?" Carrot asked half awake.
"I have your target range set up," Octavia said again.
"Oh...okay I'll..I'll be there in a minute..." Carrot said reluctantly. After a while she finally got up and walked outside to see the targets and Octavia holding out the M12 Nova with a smile.
"Ready?" She said.
"Oh, heck yeah," Carrot said with a grin on her face.

Chapter Four - 19 Days In
19 DAYS INTO THE APOCALYPSE
The current status of the group is elite. At 19 days in, there were a total of 17 raids; 0 unsuccessful and 17 successful. The camp was larger with better defensive systems like small minefields with mines gathered from military camp raids, mounted machine guns on sandbags,---also from M.C.R.'s---and plenty of bullet proof vests with heavy and lethal weapons. All of this for the three mares in charge of the whole camp. They had a lifetime supply of food, with plenty of medicine and first aid supplies.
Carrot Top was trained well in using ranged weaponry, she still couldn't get used to the weapons knock-back throwing her backwards about three feet, so she decided to use a new type of weapon...also recovered from the military base...a predator bow. This bow had a range of different arrows, listed are as follows: Pointed, Thermal, Incendiary, Air-Born-Fragmentation, and Electrical arrows. This bow had enough kinetic energy to stop a rhinoceros dead in it's tracks. Carrot's accuracy with this weapon was exact. Where she looked is where the arrow hit. Whatever it was, it was gone once the string on that bow was released from the grasp of her hooves.
Octavia got used to dual wielding Desert Eagles, using a type of ammo that was much better than that of her M12 Nova pistol. It was almost as good as the bullets fired from Vinyl's Magnum. She had gotten lots of spare wood that was recovered from about five of the seventeen raided camps, and made herself a cello to play. Octie would either play it for practice, or for the other two's entertainment.
As for Vinyl she had only gotten worse with her thoughts of wanting to see blood spilled. Craving the screams of torment from innocent ponies. Her ideas of torture became more gruesome, to where the 'least worst' (Only worded this way because even though technically it could be considered 'best,' there is still no way there could be a positive sound to what went on in her mind) was watching a loved one being torn limb by limb, screaming, and being eaten by zeds. Vinyl kept four zeds in a deep hole with a barbed wire surrounding it. She knew that in three days without food a zed would die, so Vinyl kept prisoners to throw in with plenty of meat on them. Instead of giving them plenty of good food, Vinyl would give these prisoners rotten flesh, and bread. All the prisoners got to drink was muddy water, and if Vinyl felt like it, sewage from the camp's outhouse. If they refused, they would be beaten, by Vinyl, with a stick, or a custom-made Cat of Nine Tails until they would eat their food. If that didn't work, Vinyl would beat them until they bled to death. This usually made everypony else eat.
If Vinyl knew anything about torture, it was that the worst it could get was torturing somepony, and making the other watch. Vinyl used this technique very often, in fact, if there was to be questioning she would bring in the prisoner and the one to be tortured. This would make the prisoner either feel guilty for not answering and killing the other pony, therefor making him answer; or the prisoner would be so scared to take the punishment, that they would answer immediately.
On that day Vinyl gave a small speech, presentation if you will, to the other two mares.
"I have been thinking about this, and I feel that I should propose this idea in front of you both," she said. "I have decided that our camp should follow a motto, a single maxim, that we should base all of our survival techniques on. Though we have been already doing it, if we happen to get a new member or two, we can go ahead and tell them this so that they will get the hint. And it's pretty cool." Vinyl got out a piece of note book paper with writing on it. "This paper describes the maxim. The maxim is as follows: Adapt, Engage, Survive.
"Adapt - Examining the environment and surroundings, and finding tactical advantage points. Locating targets and thinking out how to take them out.
"Engage - Killing the targets in the way that was ordered. Taking them out one by one, or killing them all at once.
"Survive - Come out alive with a profit of supplies." Vinyl put down the paper. "Are we willing to accept this motto? All in favor raise a hoof." All three raised their hooves. "Very well then, it is our camp motto!"

On that night, Carrot Top and Octavia decided to go to sleep earlier. As always, Vinyl would stay up an hour or two later. The prisoners were asleep, the mines were armed, and the turrets were set to automatic. Vinyl had a fire going. It was small, but enough to keep her warm. It wasn't as cool outside and the soil was dry. The wind wasn't blowing and it was a clear sky; all the stars were visible. Vinyl decided to roast some marshmallows. She walked over to the food tent to grab a pack, when she heard a sizzle and smelt smoke. She looked back and noticed that the fire was out. Feeling threatened, Vinyl picked a Magnum up off the ground and held it up. She looked left and right and couldn't see anything. Suddenly something jumped out at her and pinned her down. Vinyl looked up and saw it was a beige stallion with brown hair and an hourglass as a cutie mark. She quickly slid her right foreleg from underneath the stallion and flipped him over, she jumped up and grabbed her Magnum off the ground. The stallion grabbed a Desert Eagle, and the two ponies had their weapons pointed at each other. After a few seconds of silence the stallion made a sudden move tossing his pistol at Vinyl and kicking her Magnum out of her hand. He slid the pistol away from her and got in closer for hoof-to-hoof combat. The two kept attacking and countering each other. The stallion lunged at Vinyl, she threw him down. Vinyl grabbed a Cat of Nine Tails and threw it, the stallion caught it and threw it back. Neither were getting closer to defeating the other.
"Finally, a well matched a opponent..." The stallion said with a Canterlot accent. He threw a punch and missed.
"Well said, beige pony." Vinyl responded lunging towards him, just to be thrown down. Vinyl quickly got up. "Nice surprise attack too."
"Thank you darling." The stallion said, hurling a knife at Vinyl. Vinyl cartwheeled out of the way and the knife tore through two prisoner tents, and Octavia's tent. Octavia gasped and ran outside with a Desert Eagle.
"What in Equestria is---" she said, being interrupted by another knife whizzing by her head. The knife hit one of the prisoners that had woken up in the fighting event in the eye. They screamed as they fell back into the pit of zeds still being strapped up at her hind leg by a rope. The zeds fought for her head. One of them managed to reach up and grab it. It dug it's hooves into the prisoners remaining eye and cheek, making her blood stream out. She screamed louder as the skin on her neck started to tear and bleed. The zed yanked off the prisoners head and took a bite out of the her ear. The zeds drug in the rest of the body, tearing the rope out of the wooden pole holding it, and started to devour the body.
As for Vinyl and the stallions, they were still fighting. The stallion pinned Vinyl down and almost got a knife into her throat until an arrow whizzed by with a string attached. The stallion was swept up and pinned against a wall by the string.
"You thought you could kill me?" Vinyl said to the stallion laughing. She suddenly stopped at his answer.
"Ha...you thought I came alone?" The stallion said moving his hoof. Suddenly, the four auto turrets were taken out by electrical devices, and the mines were disarmed. A mare and another stallion walked up on either side of the camp with M4A1 Carbine's. The stallion was from the apple family, tanish-yellowish coat with orange and tannishyellowish-streaked hair.
But the mare was what struck fear into the hearts of all who where in the camp. Her with a gun in her hand, and the mean look on her face, her eyes looking red instead of violet...she had a bright blue coat with a rainbow mane. A wonder-bolt equivalent, able to perform a double rainboom, defeated Discord, element of loyalty...
Rainbow Dash
All of their names: Time Turner, Braeburn, and Rainbow Dash. Another elite group, the raiders only problem was, they weren't allies.

Chapter Five - Unavoidable Death
Carrot Top motioned to Octavia to get her pistols ready. Once Octie had her weapons in hoof, Carrot Top got her bow and an arrow and gave a motion to kill. Carrot Top aimed at Braeburn's head and released the arrow. It went clean through his skull. He fell down motionless as the other two looked around and got to cover. Carrot Top had a clear shot of Dash's head. She released another bow, but Dashie caught it. Carrot Top gasped and quickly took out a thermal arrow and shot it at Dash. This time Dash shot the arrow in mid air with an M9. She picked up a rock and hurled it at the tent Octavia was in. It hit the tent with a large thud, except the tent wasn't the thing that thudded. A stream of blood pored out of the tent. Octie was dead.
When Vinyl saw this she screamed in anger and jumped on Time Turner. She repeatedly beat his face in with her hoof, when Rainbow Dash ran up to push her off, she grabbed a Cat of Nine Tails and slung it at her face. It tore out part of her cheek, and her entire right eye. She covered her eye and started weeping from the pain. She tried to stop the flow of blood, but she couldn't. She grabbed some medical supplies and wrapped her eye as Vinyl beat Turner to a pulp. She put on an eye patch and knocked Vinyl unconscious.

Vinyl woke up in chains at an unknown camp. She looked around to examine the environment. The place was in a forest, lots of pine trees. There was brick wall surrounding the camp. It was completely solid, with the exception of gun emplacements. Small bunkers held these emplacements, in fact they held about two emplacements each. An automatic machine gun, and an automatic thermal canon.
Vinyl smelt the air, it smelt like rotting flesh. She looked to the side and jumped at what she saw. It was Octavia...or what was left of her. A large cut had swollen up on her head, where the rock hit. Octavia's carcass was covered in swarming blow flies looking for good places to place their larva. Vinyl felt a tear roll down her cheek as she saw the maggots digging through her dead friend's eyes and mouth.
The most frightening thing however, was the fact that Octavia's right eye was open, and looking straight at Vinyl. As for her other eye, it was gone and anything left was being devoured by larva. Vinyl stared into the eye of her dead friend. She felt guilty for all the torment she had delivered. It was as if the carcass still had some of Octavia's spirit within, and telling Vinyl,
Look what you did to me...This is your fault...You did this...
Vinyl covered her face and started to weep. She looked back and everything went black. Vinyl was nonetheless confused by this. She looked at Octavia's corpse. It started to rise. Vinyl was scared out of her mind she let out a scream. As the corpse reached out it's hooves to Vinyl, a bullet tore through it's head. Vinyl saw Rainbow Dash with a glock in her hand. She shot the corpse three more times until it became completely motionless.
"You might not want to watch this, Vinyl." Dash said as she pulled out a huge knife. Vinyl looked away, but back just before Dash sliced Octie's head clean off. Vinyl lost her breath and fell back unconscious.

You did this...This was your fault...I hate you...
The thoughts running through Vinyl's head were excruciating. All she could hear was Octavia's voice, the hatred Vinyl had given, the destruction she had caused, the depression she gave, all returned in the one eye of her dead friend. Voices...haunting her.
She woke up in darkness. She knew it was a nightmare, and she knew who was going to give her the punishment. Vinyl started to hear voices...and as they grew louder she saw the ponies...all the ones she knew, the ones she killed, the ones she harmed, hurt, and destroyed the lives of. She could barely stand it...You did this... it was messing with her mind You don't deserve your life......unbearable...You will pay for what you did...you prick! Vinyl screamed in anger as she threw punches at all of the hallucinations, each time they would disappear and come back where she couldn't reach them.
"Stop....STOP!!!!!!" she screamed. Everything stopped. A silence, an indescribable silence. A figure...standing in the back. It was an alicorn. The alicorn was blue, eyes glowing white, royal attire...
It was Luna
"Celsitudo tua... " Vinyl said, weeping. "dimitte me obsecro... " She was speaking a foreign language that she learned before she became a DJ, it was a language all the ponies used to use. That was why all the spells were in this language.
"Do you know what you did?" The alicorn, Luna, said. "You committed unnecessary murder, you destroyed ponies lives, thus you are punished with the death of your one and only friend. This wasn't Rainbow Dash's fault, this was yours. You did this, and you will pay." Luna paced back and forth. "I should kill you." She said again. "I should have executed you by now, but I'm giving you another chance, because I know who you really are. The apocalypse doesn't change everypony...it makes them think they are changed." Luna looked at Vinyl hard. "You will have an eternal punishment in return. You will forever hear these voices in your dreams, reminding you of how cruel you once were. I can't change that, only you can." Luna stomped her hoof revealing a huge simulation of Equestria. "This..." she said. "Is Equestria now." she zoomed in on a particular area. "And this is your camp, and over here is the horde coming after it."
"Wait...you know about the zeds...?" Vinyl asked confusedly.
"Why would I not?" Luna asked. "I'm a princess, of course I know about it!"
"Then what the buck are you doing to help us?!" Vinyl shouted in anger. Luna stopped for a minute. She looked up at Vinyl.
"It's....my sister...." Luna said. "she isn't allowing anypony to leave the Canterlot castle, including me and herself, she says it's for safety, but I know better."
"Wh..what do you mean..." Vinyl asked. "are you talking about Celestia?"
"Yes..." Luna said. "she doesn't want to help anypony, she says if anypony outside Canterlot dies, it won't matter because they aren't proper or important."
"What?!" Vinyl shouted.
"I've said to much, wake up Vinyl, your fixing to die..." Luna said. "save your camp!"
Everything started turning white in Vinyl's eyes.
"WAIT!!!" She shouted, but it was too late. She woke up in a medical tent.

Time Turner was beside her, monitoring Vinyl's heartbeat. It went up rapidly when she nearly jumped out of the bed. Turner jumped back to see Vinyl with dilated eyes, panting heavily. She turned to Time Turner and grabbed him.
"There's a horde...Luna showed me!" She said. "There's no time to explain just go!" Vinyl broke free of all the wires holding her on the bed in the tent. She grabbed an AK47 off of the ground and loaded it. Somepony grabbed her and shoved her back.
"Where do you think your going?" The pony said. It was Dash. Vinyl pointed to the entrance of the camp revealing a massive horde of zeds. Dash quickly picked Vinyl back up and grabbed her own weapon.
"I'm trusting you with this..." Dashie said. She looked back at the camp. "HORDE!" She shouted. Turner, and Carrot Top came out.
"Carrot! Get your bow, Turner, use one of the .50 Cals!" Dash shouted again. She took out a .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle and headshoted three zeds. Vinyl ran to the weapons tent and grabbed a Magnum and knife. The zeds decreased in number rapidly as they got closer.

Once they were finished with the horde, they all met back in the center of the camp.
"Okay look..." Rainbow Dash said. "Me and Turner have decided to free you both."
"Why?" Vinyl asked.
"Why are you asking?" Dash replied.
"Release her, but I don't deserve to be set free..." Vinyl said.
"We need you, we need you both." Turner said. "Despite you killing one of our camp members, you could help us stop the apocalypse."
"I guess you have a point there..." Carrot Top said.
"Agreed." Vinyl said. "We need to find out what this virus is though, because it isn't normal."
"We know, we already found out some about it," Dash replied pulling out a large scroll. "it derives from Everfree. It's a living virus, and it is able to control certain parts that a normal zed virus couldn't."
"Like...what?" Vinyl asked. Dash showed her a picture of a flying zed, and a couple of variations of earth pony zeds.
"And that's not all," Dash said, pulling out another picture. "there are some that can control magic...they are called hiveminders."
A Derpy Apocalypse: The Raiders
Days passed, the camp grew bigger, more defenses, more tents, and stuff. Lot's of successful raids, and more knowledge on the virus. In fact, they were coming close to finding an antidote, not quite there yet though. Equestria-wide supplies were said to be rapidly decreasing, but the camp had enough to keep all the inhabitants alive.
The camp was very well protected, with smart minefields, automatic sentries, manual turrets, bunkers, sandbags, and gates. There was an emergency bunker, in case of a nuclear threat. A nuclear detonation hasn't happened yet, but most of the Equestrians suppose it will, somewhere.
A lot of ponies wondered how the crystal empire was doing, along with the changelings; but everypony, by now, new where the virus had originated. The Everfree Forest. Everything bad came from the Everfree Forest. The evidence supporting this theory is that for one, there are much more zeds there, and worse much more hiveminders, fliers, and other variations of the virus. Secondly, there was a strange gas that originated from Everfree, slowly growing and infecting the remains of Equestria's population.
Not everypony knew the virus was living, but the camp inhabitants however, did. Not only did they know this, but they knew also what the virus looked like, what it did, and what it's purpose was. Something created it, and it wasn't Zecora, she was dead but the virus probably used her knowledge to perform alchemy; magic without a horn. Aside of that it turns out the zeds were getting closer to breaching Canterlot, and if they can breach that, or even get close, they can breach anything . But that was 99 days in, by now, Canterlot was a wasteland, and nopony survived. Not even the princesses.
Upon looking at the structure and function of the virus, the inhabitants managed to find out a whole lot about how to make an antidote that would destroy it, or perhaps just weaken it. Anything close to getting rid of it was a step further to saving Equestria, everything was worth a try.
The supplies for the camp were enough to last a year, but around Equestria were becoming slower and slower, without farmers to farm, and cooks to cook, there was a low supply of food. The current supply, minus the over eating of survivors times the amount of survivors, minus the food rotting away in abandoned markets, was too much going to waste, and nothing to be put in it's place. The camp wouldn't last forever. Either the apocalypse would end, or the camp would.

It was about 251 days in. Vinyl woke up early in the morning to fix herself a small breakfast. There were a bunch of rules for the camp, and above all there were food rules. Above the food rules was the rule of conservation of food, stating that "Everypony wishing to eat food, must have a normal amount for each meal according to the chart on Pg. 12 of the rule book." Yeah, there were some strict rules, but Vinyl learned soon that it was better than dying of starvation, being eaten by a zed.
Vinyl decided to get some cereal, with a pop tart. She giggled as she thought about one of the exceptions in the 'conservation of food' rule. It said, "Only acceptation to a meal that doesn't match the chart is if you are getting less food, which in that case means more for us so have at it!" She pored milk in a small bowl holding her cereal, and grabbed a spoon after putting the milk back in a refrigerator.
As she started eating, she felt the cool breeze blow through her mane. It was a nice day. Cool, cloudy, every once in a while, a cool breeze of wind would bring in a couple of raindrops, which only felt better. It was summer, most days were really hot, but not this one. Something about it was strange, it seemed as if something strange was going to happen.
The next thing Vinyl heard was,
"Survivor!"

A Derpy Apocalypse: The Raiders
"Ugh...Vinyl, please! Why do---can you wash dishes normally for once?!" Octavia shouted, covering her ears from the loud dubstep dishwasher Vinyl was using. Vinyl turned it off and pulled out the crystal clean dishes.
"Awww! But that's not fun!" Vinyl whined.
"Yes, and it's not fun to be woken up by...loud music that almost penetrates my ears at 4 o'clock in the morning!" Octavia replied.
Suddenly there was a loud bang at the door. Octavia and Vinyl looked at each other.
"You can get it Octie, I'm doing to the dishes! Heh...heh..." Vinyl said with somewhat of a smile on her face.
"You were doing the dishes," Octavia said with a dull look on her face. She walked over to the door and opened it slowly. "Hello?" she said. A dark figure was standing at the door. Octie was a bit freaked out by the thing, but she managed to keep herself together, until the figure lifted it's face to the light, revealing an empty eye socket, and a disorganized face. Octavia screamed and slammed the door. She tore out a dresser drawer and retrieved an M12 Nova Pistol. She tossed a Magnum to Vinyl.
"What the buck is out there?" Vinyl asked, loading the Magnum.
"I don't know, but it needs to die..!" Octie said, cocking her pistol and aiming at the door. In that moment the door burst open and three living corpses burst in, screaming and moaning, blood and saliva streaming from their mouths. Octie fired her weapon at the heads putting small holes the size of a penny. Vinyl fired once at all three aligned in a row and it tore straight through their heads like fabric. Vinyl laughed.
"Ha, your bullets are small!" She said.
"Prick..." Octavia replied under her breath. "Come on...I don't want to sound silly, but if I know one thing about a zombie...that's what those things were."
"Well, Octie..." Vinyl said. "You don't, but I do so follow me we can find useful things one the way...but one thing right quick...I..." Vinyl started to repeatedly sniffle and her eyes started to water. "I need a moment with my dishwasher..." Octavia face-hoofed.
