The next morning I awoke to the sound of guards stomping through the house. I rose from my bed, which didn’t seem quite as comfy and went to make my breakfast of oats and hay.

I entered the kitchen to quite a sight. The guards were eating the food that is ours! “What are you doing!?” I yelled at them.

They seemed quite startled to see me awake. “Oh! We were just making sure the intruders didn’t poison the food.” A guard stated quite quickly.

I sighed with much disappointment at the state of Equestria’s defenders. “Sure you are, I’m just going to get my breakfast and go to school sound alright?” I asked not caring what they actually said.

“Well before you go you need to talk to the filly out there in the suit.”

Filly in a suit? What the hay is a filly in a suit here for? I quickly ate my breakfast and went to see this suited filly. It wasn’t hard to find her; she was sticking out like a sore wing in this crowd of armored guards.

“Ah! There you are!” She exclaimed in a very strangely happy tone.

“Umm, who are you, and why are you happy to see me?” I said very confused.

“I’m Mrs. Ofrain; I’m here to talk to you about you parents.” She said, kind of losing the pep in her voice.

“What about them! Have you found them!?” I asked getting quite excited at the possibility.

“No sweetheart.” My smile faded fast, “Sorry, we are suspecting that your parents have either died (I did not like that statement at all) or they have abandoned you. (I liked that statement even less)”

“THEY WOULDN’T ABANDON ME! THEY ARE ALIVE!!!” I cried out with full fury.

“Calm down Digital! We just want to start thinking about the fact that your parents may not come back.”

“THEY WILL COME BACK FOR ME! THEY LOVE ME AND I LOVE THEM!” I yelled tears streaming down my face.

“We are putting you on the list of foals who lost their parent and need a new family.” I stopped and couldn’t believe my ears. “It is really for the best Digital, you need a family.” I was stunned, she wasn’t serious was she? By the look on her face I could tell she was.

“I’m going to school.” Was all I could manage to say. This would be the final day before I saw Mrs. Ofrain or my house for a very long time. With plans set in motion and a heavy heart I flew off to school to tell my good friend my plans.
