In the wasteland located near West City, four warriors stood before each other. Three of which were paying attention to one. These three warriors being a part of the Z Fighters. These fighters being Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan.
"Okay. Who's going first?" Spoke the non Z Fighter. This fighter was a Saiyan, standing at 5'9" and was muscular. He wore a blue gi with a black inner shirt, black belt, black wrist bands and black boots with a blue strip running through the boots. He also had blue hair in a spiked hairstyle, along with blue eye brows. He also still had his tail. The Saiyan's name being Raian.
"I'll go first. Its been awhile since I've had a good fight." Gohan spoke as he walked forward and got into a stance.
"Alright. Give me all you've got, Gohan!" Raian said as he got into a stance himself.
A short silenced followed before Gohan dashed at Raian and threw a kick at his head. Raian ducked under it and countered by grabbing Gohan's leg and tossing him into the air behind him.
Raian flew after him and followed his throw with several punches and kicks before Gohan could recover. Raian finished the combo with double hammer fist, sending Gohan crashing to the ground.
Gohan managed to catch himself with his hands and he flipped onto his feet. Gohan looked up to Raian, only to see that he was no longer there. Gohan looked around a bit before getting struck in a pressure point on his neck. Gohan's eyes became heavy and he collapsed onto the floor.
"Gohan really should have kept training. He's not nearly as strong as he was when he fought Cell." Piccolo stated as he walked over and picked Gohan up and leaned him against a rock.
He walked back over and stood in front of Raian. He cracked his neck and knuckles and got into a fighting stance.
"Okay. I'll go next."
"Alright, Piccolo. Lets do this." Raian got into a stance of his own.
Wasting no time, both fighters charged and clashed with each other. Piccolo threw a kick at Raian's head, which Raian leaned out of the way of. Raian returned the favor by throwing a punch at Piccolo, which he dodged by leaning his body back and kicking Raian in the jaw.
Raian was knocked back a little way from the kick. He did a back flip and landed on his feet before giving Piccolo a satisfied grin.
Piccolo flew at him and tried to hit Raian with a chop. Raian ducked under it then moved behind Piccolo using his blinding speed. Piccolo turned around and was struck by Raian's knee meeting his face. Raian struck him twice with said knee before doing a roundhouse kick, sending Piccolo flying back.
Raian chased after Piccolo to continue his assault. When he got to him however, Piccolo put his hand on the ground and kicked Raian in the chest, sending him flying upwards. As Raian was ascending, Piccolo used his ability to extend his arms and grabbed Raian's leg, then slammed him into the ground in front of him. A cloud of dust being kicked up upon impact.
Raian lied on the ground for a moment before hopping back onto his feet, a grin still on his face.
"You're still as interesting opponent as ever, Piccolo." Raian said as he got out of his fighting position. A smirk formed on the Namek's face.
"Yeah. You've never ceased seem to surprise me. You and Goku would get along just fine." Piccolo commented while remaining in his stance.
"Well. Be ready for this surprise then." Raian said as he bent his elbow's and got into a ready position. "Haaaaaaaa. Haaaaaaaaaaaa! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Raian's Ki spiked with his signature Blue Flame Aura exploding from his body before it changed into a gold one. His spiky blue hair and eyebrows slowly turned gold and his eyes became an emerald green color. He had become a Super Saiyan.
Piccolo widened his eyes in awe as he stared at the young Super Saiyan before him with the Saiyan staring back. Raian gazed at Piccolo briefly before darting forward with incredible speeds. He struck Piccolo with a rising elbow to the jaw, then with a punch to the gut before finishing with an upward kick, all within a heartbeat.
Piccolo was sent soaring into the air. He flipped himself to recover but was struck again by Raian delivering a punch to his face. While Piccolo was stunned, Raian did a back flip kick, sending Piccolo further up into the air. Raian teleported above the Namekian with his hands already above his head. He brought them down and hit Piccolo with a double hammer fist that sent out a small shock wave.
Piccolo crashed into the ground, the ground itself broke and pieces flew in every direction. Raian flew back down to the ground and walked over to the beaten Namek.
Piccolo opened his eyes and saw Raian, still in his Super Saiyan form standing above him. Raian held out his hand, which Piccolo took and Raian picked him up. They let go of each others hands and looked each other in the eye before Piccolo spoke up.
"It seems like you're getting stronger by the day. Its amazing to watch you ascend to such levels of power." Piccolo spoke with a grin.
"Thanks Piccolo. You're still really strong yourself." Raian complimented, making Piccolo chuckle lightly in response.
"Alright, that's enough talk." Came Vegeta's voice. Raian and Piccolo turned their heads and saw Vegeta standing with his arms folded. "If you think beating those two weaklings puts you up on Kakarot's level then you're in for a rude awakening."
Raian and Piccolo both fully turned their attention to Vegeta.
"Step aside, Namek. Its time I show you all what a true warrior is capable of." Vegeta spoke in a cocky manner as he walked up to Raian with his arms still folded. They stared each other down while Piccolo flew away from the fight, his attention remaining on the two warriors. Piccolo landed near Gohan, who had just woken up.
"Huh? W-What's going on?" Gohan said as he got up in a bit of a daze. His vision cleared up and his attention was on Raian and Vegeta standing a few feet from each other.
"Looks like Vegeta's up." Gohan spoke with slight anticipation.
"This battle should be interesting." Piccolo said with a grin as he folded his arms.
"Alright, kid. Time to see what you've got. I know you were holding back against those other two, you better not hold back against me!" Vegeta stated before he lifted his hands above his head and threw them down, transforming into a Super Saiyan. Both Raian and Vegeta got in to their fighting stance in unison, almost like they were synchronized.
Vegeta and Raian stared at each other, the only sound being the blowing wind. Seconds seemed like minutes as the two stared at each other, their eyes not moving, their minds not wavering.
A small rock fell from a mountain nearby and hit the ground with a light clack. Vegeta's eyes widened and he threw a punch at Raian with breathtaking speeds.
To Vegeta's surprise, Raian caught the punch without much effort from him. He held Vegeta's fist for a second before throwing a kick at Vegeta's head, which Vegeta blocked with his other hand. Raian brought his foot down as he threw Vegeta off of him by the fist he was holding before planting his left hand on the ground and spinning his entire body in a counter clockwise motion, his right leg outstretched and his left leg bent at the knee. Raian hit Vegeta in the side of the head, making him flinch and stumble to the side.
Vegeta used his foot to stop himself from falling and he opened his eyes and saw Raian's still outstretched leg. He quickly grasped it in his hands and threw Raian into the air behind him. Raian flipped a few times before using a his Ki to stop himself from flying further. Right as he looked back at Vegeta, he was met with a Ki Blast crashing into him, creating an explosion.
Vegeta grinned cockily as he watched the smoke from the explosion begin to fade. His eyes widened when he saw that Raian didn't even have a scratch on him.
"What? How?" Spoke a confused Vegeta.
"Incredible. Raian's getting stronger by the day." Gohan spoke in amazement.
"I moved the instant the Ki Blast exploded, preventing me from taking any damage." Raian answered.
"Well. Its seems like I've underestimated your speed. Lets see how you handle this!" Vegeta yelled as he pointed his right palm at Raian. "Big Bang Attack!"
Vegeta then shot a medium sized blue Ki ball at Raian by bringing his arm back slightly then throwing it forward. Raian held open his hand as if he was about cut something and a blue Ki Blade formed around it. Raian then slashed his hand in a downward horizontal motion which sent out a crescent shaped Ki Blast hurling down at Vegeta's Big Bang Attack.
The crescent Ki Blast cut straight through Vegeta's Big Bang Attack, causing it to explode violently. Vegeta watched the smoke very closely, waiting for any sudden movements. He saw Raian appear unexpectedly on his right and was struck in the face as he made to look at him.
Vegeta fell onto his back and kicked off of his hands while driving his feet into Raian's chest, sending him up into the air. Vegeta did a quick front flip before landing and jumping after Raian. Vegeta drew his right arm back, ready to strike again. Vegeta let out a yell before throwing a strong punch at Raian.
Raian managed to recover in time to throw his hands up and stop Vegeta's punch before it hit his stomach. He threw Vegeta's hands up above his with enough force to throw Vegeta back a little ways. Raian leaned his body to where the left side of his body was facing the ground while he brought up his right leg. He threw his leg out at Vegeta, kicking him in the chest and sending him flying backwards.
Raian quickly flew past Vegeta and turned to face him. Raian spun his body in a clockwise motion and kicked Vegeta with his outstretched leg. Vegeta was sent flying to the right of where Raian was. Raian flew past Vegeta once more, charging up a large Ki Ball in his right hand as he flew.
Raian turned around to face Vegeta again. He waited for Vegeta to get to him before he kicked Vegeta up higher. Raian followed him up before kicking Vegeta in the back with both feet, sending Vegeta flying at a mountain. Before Vegeta reached the mountain, Raian threw the Ki Blast he had charged up at Vegeta, the Ki exploding on impact and making the Saiyan Prince fly into the mountain with great force.
Vegeta went all the way though the mountain with said mountain crumbling to pieces as he came out of the other side. Vegeta crashed into the ground, the speed he was going at making him slide into the ground, with large pieces of rock breaking and being uplifted from Earth it was planted on.
Vegeta stopped sliding, and large pieces of rocks covered his entire body, preventing Raian, Piccolo, or Gohan from seeing him.
For several moments, there was nothing but silence. Everyone watched the rocks carefully, looking for any signs of movement. A golden light began to shine from under all the debris and Vegeta's yelling voice could be heard. Vegeta's yell gradually got louder and louder and his power rising with it. The golden light stopped briefly before it exploded out of Vegeta, blowing away all the rocks and debris that was around him.
Vegeta's yelling ceased and the golden light that he was creating dimmed down to his aura. Everyone took their arms away from their eyes and saw that Vegeta was charging up his Galick Gun.
"Galick Gun... Fire!"
Vegeta shot his arms forward and a purple colored beam shot out of his hands. Thinking quickly, Raian charged up a quick Kamehameha and intercepted Vegeta's Galick Gun. The two beams collided and the entire Earth shook from the impact of the energy waves. The shaking of the Earth became more violent as the beams continued to push against each other.
"They're going to destroy the whole planet!" Gohan shouted over the sound of the earth shaking while holding his arm over his eyes.
"W-What's going on!?" Bulma yelled as she struggled to get up to her feet.
She grabbed a nearby window and peered outside to see a bright light flashing in the distance.
"Oh! They're taking their training too seriously! They're gonna destroy the city if they keep this up!" Bulma pulled her self up to her feet but fell back down on her rear due to the massive tremors.
"You're not going to make a fool out of me! I am the Prince of Saiyan's! VEGETAAAA!"
With a yell, Vegeta exerted more energy into his Galick Gun, making the beam grow bigger and begin to push Raian's Kamehameha back.
Raian was on the brink of losing the battle. Thinking quickly, Raian stopped firing his Kamehameha and dodged Vegeta's Galick Gun at the last moment. He watched the beam fly off into the sky and eventually dissipate.
Raian turned back to Vegeta, who was panting slightly. His lips formed into a smirk as he lowered his arms.
"I'll admit, your power is impressive. You learn just as fast as Kakarot does."
Raian merely sat there and listened to the Saiyan Prince. Vegeta clenched his fists before speaking again.
"But you're just as much of a clown as he is! I will not be humbled by a low class fool such as yourself!"
Vegeta flew forward at Raian with his fists still clenched and one arm drew back.
"Then come at me." Raian spoke under his breath.
He watched as Vegeta drew closer until he was within range and threw his fist forward. Raian dropped down below Vegeta and threw a powerful kick into his stomach, sending Vegeta higher up into the air. Raian teleported up to Vegeta and struck him again with an elbow, sending Vegeta off in a horizontal direction. Raian followed Vegeta, moving fast enough to make himself appear as a blur to the others.
Quickly flying past Vegeta, Raian turned around and was about to continue his assault until he saw a ship flying towards him. He held the hand he was going to punch Vegeta with out and caught him by his armor vest. He held him there until he felt Vegeta begin to carry his own body before letting go.
He and Vegeta both watched the ship draw closer, still remaining in their Super Saiyan forms. When the ship drew close enough, Raian and Vegeta both saw that Bulma, who had a look of anger on her face, was the one piloting the ship. She stopped in front of the two Super Saiyan's before opening the cockpit.
"What the heck is wrong with you two!? You nearly destroyed the city!" Bulma yelled while looking back and forth between the two Super Saiyan's.
"Hey, don't look at me! Vegeta's the one that decided to attack me with his Galick Gun!" Raian said while he brought up his hands defensively.
"Are you trying to destroy the Earth!?" Bulma turned to Vegeta with the same rage as before.
Vegeta merely folded his arms and let out an irritated huff. Bulma calms herself down and takes in a deep breath.
"Look. All I'm asking is that you be more careful. You're taking your training to seriously."
Vegeta's eyes shift over to Bulma.
"Fine. We'll take our training to a more deserted area." Vegeta unfolds his arms and turns his head to Raian. "So how about it? Ready for another round?"
Raian smiles and nods.
"Alright. This time I won't hold back."
Vegeta lowers his head and chuckles.
"Neither will I."
After a long day of hard training, Raian, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan all headed home. All were satisfied, except for one blue haired Saiyan.
"I don't feel like I'm getting a challenge anymore. Have I really surpassed them already?" Raian thought as he flew alongside Vegeta.
"Hey, Raian." Vegeta's voice called out, snapping Raian out of his thoughts. "Bulma said she needed some groceries. I'll meet you at Capsule Corp."
With that, Vegeta took off to a different part of the city. Raian was surprised that they were already in the city.
"I guess I was thinking really hard then."
Raian hovered down to the ground and walked inside of the Capsule Corporation. He started walking to his room, when he came across Bulma and her father, Doctor Briefs.
"Hey Raian. How did training go?" Bulma asks.
"Oh, it went good." Raian replied as he tried to hide his look of disappointment.
"Are you sure? You look like you would like to train some more."
"Well, its not that I'd like to train more, its that I'm not getting much of a challenge out of Vegeta and the others anymore."
"Really? How long have you been training with them exactly?"
"About six years. I guess I just learn fast."
Bulma put her hand to her chin in thought. Several moments of silence passed before Bulma came up with an idea.
"I know. Why not take a Capsule Corporation spaceship to travel to other planets?"
"Travel to other... For what?"
"To find stronger opponents of course."
"Yes, that's actually a rather brilliant idea, Bulma." Doctor Briefs added. "You would be able to travel to different planets and challenge that planets strongest fighter, and we would be able to contact you through the spaceships integrated communication system and you can tell us what the planet is like. Better yet, I could make a remote control probe so we can explore the planet ourselves."
"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt to try it out."
"That's the spirit!" Bulma said enthusiastically. "Now, we'll set up the spaceship for you. We'll supply it with everything you'll need to last you for a while. And I think it would be a good idea to run of to Korin's and take get some of those Senzu Beans. I'll also make you a few pairs of Saiyan Amour for you, just in case you need it. I'll also have my dad make you some of your Gi."
"Wow, thanks Bulma. Are you sure this isn't too much though?"
"Not at all, Raian. You've helped me out plenty of times when I needed it. And you've been a great friend of Vegeta's. This is the least I could do to help."
"Okay, if you say so. I'll run over to Korin's now. See you when I get back."
With that, Raian headed straight for Korin's tower. It took him about fifteen minutes to arrive. When he landed, he saw Yajirobe and Korin playing poker at a small table.
"Hey Korin. Hey Yajirobe." Raian said as he approached the two.
Korin and Yajirobe turned their heads and saw Raian walking towards them.
"Oh, Raian. What brings you here today?" Korin asked as he put his cards face down. Yajirobe lifted the cards and got a quick peak at his hand before Korin could notice.
"I came to ask if you had any extra Senzu Beans."
"Senzu Beans, huh? Hmm... I think I've got a few. Give me a second."
Korin got up from the table and walked over to a separate part of tower. He shoveled through small chest until he pulled out a small brown bag. He peered inside and counted the beans before closing it up and tying a string around it to keep it closed.
"Here. There's twelve Senzu Beans in there." Korin handed the bag over to Raian.
"Thanks Korin. I'll see you later."
Raian went to jump off of the tower, but was stopped by Yajirobe."
"Hey, Raian."
Raian turned his head to look at Yajirobe.
"Yeah? What is it?"
"Why do you need Senzu Beans? Is there some sort of alien attacking the Earth?"
"No. I'm going on a little trip."
"A trip? A trip to where?" Korin decided to ask.
"Wherever the spaceship takes me I guess."
This question made Raian think about what planets he would actually like to go to. The first one that ran across his mind was Planet Yardrat. According to the others, this is where Goku learned the Instant Transmission.
"I better get back to Capsule Corp. I'll see you two later."
And with that, Raian jumped off of the tower and took flight back to West City. Up on the lookout, Piccolo watched him fly away, having heard every word spoken between him, Korin, and Yajirobe.
"So he's leaving Earth huh? I wonder what for." Piccolo said to himself as he watched Raian fly off into the distance.
"Bulma! I'm back!" Raian said as he landed on the ground outside of Capsule Corporation. He saw that Vegeta was back and was talking with Bulma and Doctor Briefs. All three turned their heads upon hearing Raian's voice.
"Well, if it isn't Raian. Is it true that you've managed to surpass us in such short time, or are you just pulling my leg?" Vegeta asked.
"I have. I've been doing training on my own to try and reach Super Saiyan 2 like Gohan did. I succeeded."
"Really? Show me." Vegeta challenged.
Without another word, Raian's hair began to flow like he was being hit with a light breeze. He first transformed into a Super Saiyan with a slight raise of his arms. Slowly, he began to push out more Ki, causing his power to rise at an alarming rate, surprising Vegeta.
Raian began to let out a few grunts before yelling loudly with his power exploding from within. A lightning like aura surrounded his body and his hair stuck up more than usual.
"Incredible! He's even stronger than Gohan was against Cell!"
Raian sustained his Super Saiyan 2 form for several seconds before he exhaled and reverted back to his normal form.
"Darn it. Why am I always one step behind?" Vegeta thought to himself angrily.
"My goodness, Raian. I may not be able to tell how strong you are, but judging from Vegeta's reaction, you have gotten much stronger since you arrived here on Earth." Bulma complimented.
"I know. I guess its just my drive that carries me through."
"So Raian. Where do you plan on going when you leave?" Vegeta asked, changing the subject.
"I'm not sure. I guess I could drop by Planet Yardrat to see if they'll teach me the Instant Transmission. It always seemed like a nice technique to have at my disposal."
"Well, it certainly isn't a bad idea. Being able to travel at those speeds would be very useful indeed."
"Raian." Bulma called out, getting Raian's attention. "I've got the ship prepared for you. Come when you're ready to leave."
Bulma walked off to where the ship waited.
"Alright. I'll be there in a minute." Raian said to Bulma before turning back to Vegeta. "Well, I guess this is goodbye."
"For now. I expect to see you much stronger when you return." Vegeta held out his hand for Raian to grab. Raian grasped Vegeta's wrist who did the same to him. They shook their arms in a brotherly like fashion before letting go.
"I'll see you later, Vegeta." Raian spoke as he began to walk to the spaceship. Vegeta grinned and waved his hand once before watching Raian walk off to a different part of the Capsule Corporation.
"See you, kid."
Raian turned the corner and found the spaceship along with Bulma standing near it, waiting for his arrival. She noticed him and smiled before walking to meet him half way.
"You ready to go?" Bulma asked.
"Yeah. Lets do this."
As Raian said this, Doctor Briefs came out of the spaceship and looked over at him.
"Ah, Raian. Just in time. I just finished setting the course to Planet Yardrat for you. Follow me, I'll show you how to use the spaceships gravity room."
Doctor Briefs turned and walked back into the spaceship. Raian looked at Bulma once before following Doctor Briefs inside.
After being shown how to use everything, Doctor Briefs took his leave. Raian did as Doctor Briefs told him to start the spaceship. He heard the power switch on and everything in the ship power up. He took a look outside the window and waved to Bulma and Doctor Briefs who waved back as the ship lifted off. Raian looked out the window until he was in space, looking at the Earth. He stared at the big blue planet before turning and going straight to the Gravity Room.
Raian approached the machine and switched it one and set the gravity to 300 G's. He slowly felt the gravity increase and watched the room become a red color. When he saw the number on the monitor become 300 G's, Raian began he rigorous training.
Raian trained under this gravity for two days before reaching Planet Yardrat.
Upon arrival, his ship was got surrounded with curious locals. When Raian stepped out of the ship, every one of them ran away in fright. One of them stopped and looked back at Raian through squinted eyes. It seemed to recognize him and it called all of the others back, speaking in a language that Raian couldn't understand.
Raian watched as all of the Yardratians came back over to Raian and started speaking among each other and staring at Raian in wonder. Raian was about to step through them until he saw the group in front of him make way for another Yardrat. This one appeared to be much older than the others. The older Yardrat approached Raian and spoke in an old and raspy voice.
"Ah. You're a Saiyan, aren't you?" Spoke the elder Yardrat. Raian merely nodded in response.
"Indeed you are. The Oracle spoke of your arrival, Blue Warrior."
Raian raised an eyebrow at this.
"You knew I was coming?"
"Yes. The Oracle spoke of a Saiyan with blue hair and an aura of fire. She said that you came here to learn the Instant Transmission from us."
Raian was shocked by this, but soon found his shock replaced with excitement.
"So you'll teach me?"
"Of course. For the good of the universe, I'd be happy to teach you."
Raian was ecstatic, but became curious as to what the elder meant by the good of the universe.
"Wait. What do you mean by the good of the universe?"
"All will be revealed in good time. Come, I shall teach you the Instant Transmission."
With that, the elder turned and walked while motioning Raian to follow him. Raian hesitated before walking after the elder. He followed him all the way to an empty field where the elder stopped and turned around.
"Are you ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."
And Raian's training commenced. To the elder's surprise, it took Raian only three days to learn and master the technique, and after he mastered it, he took his leave after saying goodbye to the elder.
As the ship flew farther away from Planet Yardrat, Raian was very excited to try his new move in battle. He searched the computer for a planet he could visit that was close to his location. There was one planet in particular that caught his eye. It was named Equestria. Something about the name interested Raian. Without a second thought, Raian set a course for Equestria. It took him three days to arrive.

Raian's Dream

Raian found himself awake in the middle of a rather old looking town surrounded by short and very colorful pony like creatures. They all stared at him in wonder as he stood up and gazed at all of them. Six of these creatures stepped forward from the crowd and stood in front Raian. Two were unicorns, two were pegasi, and two were regular ponies.
One of the unicorns, who had a lavender coat began to say something, but she as well as everything else around him became a blur as Raian found himself in a new location. This time, it was what appeared to be the inside of a magnificent castle. Standing in front of him were two ponies that were much larger than the ones before. One was larger than the other, but both had horns and wings on their bodies. The larger one began to speak, only for the same blurring effect to happen again and Raian found himself high up in the sky, staring down at a bright and colorful land being shined on by a large sun. It seemed like this land only knew peace, never touched by war.
As Raian looked down at the land below, a mass of shadow began to emerge in front of him. Raian's gaze shifted onto the said shadow and he watched it as it formed into several figures with eyes that stared back at Raian.
One of the shadows looked similar to the large ponies from before and it had long, sharp teeth and narrow slits for pupils.
Another looked like it was made up of different animal parts.
The next seemed similar to the first one, but its horn was jagged and its wings resembled that of a flies. It also had glowing green eyes who's pupils were also slits.
The fourth shadow had green sclera and red eyes with a sharp curved horn.
The fifth and sixth shadows were the ones that were the most imposing. They were like the larger ponies, except slightly taller. One's eyes were crimson, while the others was a dark shade of purple.
Each of these shadows grinned evilly at Raian and flew towards him at an incredible speed. Raian threw his hands up to block them, only to find that he didn't feel anything make contact with him. Raian took his hands away from his face and looked around to see that everything was pitch black. Nothing but darkness surrounded him on all sides. Raian looked around, searching for any sign of life or light.
"Hello?" Raian called out to the darkness.
As if reacting to his call, a bright glowing mass of light began to shine out of nowhere. He stared into the light intently and noticed a large figure inside of the light.
The figure landed on the ground and approached Raian in an elegant fashion, the light dimming as it walked. The light dimmed enough to where it was being illuminated by it, but wouldn't hide its form. Raian saw that it was another pony like creature with both a horn and wings. It had a perfectly white coat with a red mane and tail, and was as tall as the fifth and sixth shadows.
Its light blue eyes slowly opened and they fixated on Raian. The look she gave him was something along the lines of a mothers gaze. It was then that Raian knew that it was female.
The large pony lowered her head to where she was several inches away from Raian's face. She opened her mouth and said this.
"Protect them."
The images of the first eight ponies flashed in Raian's mind before the dream ended in a flash of light.
Raian regained consciousness and awoke with a loud gasp, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. He looked around to see that he was still in the ship, flying through space.
He lifted the sheets from his body and rose from his bed, wearing only his pants. He walked over to the main room of the ship and checked to see how much longer it would take until he reached Equestria. Surprisingly enough, the screen read five minutes until arrival. Raian walked back into the bedroom and threw on his normal Gi before returning back to the main room.
Raian peered outside of a window facing the direction the ship was traveling in. He saw the planet that he guessed was Equestria which had the sun shining on the side he was on. It was bright and colorful, and was about the same size as Earth.
The spaceship entered the planet and made its descent to the ground below. Raian continued to look out of the window, and noticed a small town with bright and colorful creatures moving about the streets. He also noticed a large castle on the side of a mountain in the distance.
The spaceship slowed and landed on a plane resting near the small town. Raian heard the spaceship cool down and turn off as he walked to the door and clicked on the button to open it. The hydraulics puled the door open and touched the ground. Raian floated out of the space ship and up into the air outside. He took in a breath of the planets air. It was clean and crisp.
Raian looked down at the town below since he was high enough to be able to see the entirety of it. He spotted a large building which he guessed was the town square since it was the biggest and busiest part of the town.
Without a second thought, Raian flew down and landed in the middle of the large crowd of color creatures that he noticed looked a lot like ponies. All eyes shifted onto him, only for him to stare back without speaking a word.
"Now, how to go about this? I don't want to make my first impression a bad one." Raian thought as the ponies all began to slowly approach and make a circle around him. He looked at the faces of the ponies. Some seemed curious of him. Others seemed afraid.
He heard whispers among the ponies. He heard things like Who is he, What is he, Where did he come from? Raian heard the whispering stop and the sound of a set of hooves clopping replace it. He noticed a lavender unicorn with a dark purple mane and tail with two differently colored stripes running through them slowly approaching him. She halted for a split moment, then continued to approach Raian cautiously.
The unicorn stopped a few feet in front of Raian, shivering and staring up at him nervously. Raian and the unicorn continued to stare at each other until the mare finally spoke.
"H-Hello. M-My name is T-Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?" The mare spoke shakily.
Twilight Sparkle. Princess Celestia's most faithful student and personal protege, was on her way to Ponyville on a carriage being pulled by two pegasus Royal Guards to learn about the Magic of Friendship. Standing next to her was her number one assistant, Spike the Dragon.
Twilight's head hung low. She'd didn't like this idea one bit. Spike noticed this and went to try and cheer her up.
"Aw, come on Twilight. It can't be that bad, right? All you gotta do is make a few friends and we can go right back to Canterlot."
"That's not the problem, Spike!" Twilight turned her head to her assistant. "I'm more concerned with the Summer Sun Celebration and how to stop Nightmare Moon than I am with making a few friends."
Spike let out an irritated sigh.
"Are you still on about that? You need to learn to loosen up, Twilight."
"Spike, don't you see the severity of the situation!? All of Equestria could be destroyed if we don't do something about this!"
"I still think you're taking this too seriously, Twilight. Nightmare Moon is just a myth."
Twilight just let out a sigh. She knew that arguing this further wouldn't solve anything. She looked out of the carriage and saw Ponyville down below. The guards started flying down to it and landed in a nice open section of the town. Twilight and Spike got out of the carriage and started walking.
"Thanks you, sirs." Twilight said as she passed by the guards.
Spike looked around the town and saw that the streets were rather empty.
"Where is everypony?" Spike questioned as he looked around, seeing no pony anywhere.
"I don't know. They have to be somewhere." Twilight spoke as the two continued to walk through Ponyville.
Twilight and Spike eventually arrived at the Ponyville town square and saw what seemed to be the entire population of Ponyville circling around a large ape-like creature. All of them were talking among themselves, asking each other questions that could not be answered.
The creature had blue hair and eyebrows and no fur. Instead, it had white skin, blue and black clothing to match its hair, and entirely black colored eyes. It also had a very muscular build, stood at 5'9", and sported a tail similar to a monkey's. From all of this, Twilight was able to figure out that this creature was male.
Twilight pushed her way to the front of the crowd to get a better look of this hairless monkey, her curiosity growing by the second. When she reached the front and stepped out, the monkey like being noticed her and she stopped temporarily, one hoof raised in the air. Twilight took in a deep breath before slowly approaching the monkey.
"Who's that?" One mare asked.
"I don't know. I've never seen her around Ponyville before." Answered another.
Twilight stopped a mere foot away from the monkey. She was slightly hesitant at first, but managed to work up the courage to speak.
"H-Hello. M-My name is T-Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?" Twilight spoke almost fearfully.
Raian stared down at the lavender unicorn, feeling like he has seen her somewhere. But where?
He knelt down onto one knee to get eye level with the unicorn. Raian stared at her for a few silent moments before grinning.
"My name is Raian. Nice to meet you, Twilight." Raian held his hand out for her to shake.
The unicorn and the crowd seem surprised that he could speak. The lavender pony smiled soon after and her eyes gleamed brightly.
"Nice to meet you too, Raian." Twilight paused for a short moment, thinking of something to ask. "H-Hey. If you don't mind me asking. What exactly are you?"
"I'm a Saiyan." Raian stated. A rainbow haired pegasus flew up from the crowd and landed near Raian. He also somehow recognized her.
"Saiyan? What's a Saiyan?" The pegasus asked. "Oh, I'm Rainbow Dash by the way."
The pegasus puffed out her chest and put a hoof to it as she said her name.
"Nice to meet you. But to answer your question, Saiyan's are a race of warriors that thirst for battle. We enjoy fighting to our lasts breaths." Raian revealed. The crowd had mixed reactions to this revelation. Some seemed interested, others seemed fearful or disgusted. Despite this, Raian continued. "But, I'm one of the few Saiyan's left. The Galactic Tyrant known a Frieza exterminated our race in fear of us. Of what we could do."
The crowd then made a gasping noise, now all sharing the same expression.
"That's... Why would he do that?" Twilight asked in a saddened state.
Raian's eyes became distant, like he was staring at something far away. His mind drifted back to his past. To the day when he lost the only thing he cared for. It was enough to make him rage out of control.
Raian's eyes refocused as he took in a deep breath to calm himself down. He sat down on the ground and crossed his legs together. He looked back at Twilight and took in a deep breath.
"It all started when Frieza learned of the legend of the Saiyan Race. Once every one thousand years, a warrior known as a Super Saiyan was said to appear. Frieza began to fear the Saiyan's because of this. He became so afraid that he vowed to exterminate the Saiyan's, and he did so by destroying our entire planet. The Saiyan's served Frieza faithfully, yet he still went through with his plan to destroy us by blasting the planet into dust." Raian paused for a moment, thinking of what else to tell. "This planet was known as Planet Vegeta. It was ruled by King Vegeta. But he was caught up in the destruction of the planet and perished along with it. Now the only surviving Saiyan's are me, Goku, and Prince Vegeta."
When Raian finished, the crowd was silent. Twilight was skeptical of this story. Saddened, but skeptical.
"Wait. How does one person blow up an entire planet?" Twilight asked with a raised brow.
"Frieza did it with his Ki. His Ki was so massive that the power in his finger was enough to turn Planet Vegeta into dust." Raian explained.
"The power in his..." Twilight paused for a moment. "How is that possible? How can something that powerful even exist?"
"Funny you should ask that. I've become a lot stronger that him."
Twilight stared at Raian in disbelief. There's no way somepony could destroy and entire planet by themselves. Right?
The sound of a female crying became audible as a yellow pegasus with a pink mane and tail stepped from the crowd. She walked straight over to Raian and wrapped her hooves around his neck and hugged him tightly.
"Oh, you poor thing. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know." The mare spoke in a soft and caring voice.
"Uh... Sure. Whatever." Raian said, feeling a bit awkward with this mare hugging him and speaking to him like he were a child.
"Oh, come now Fluttershy. Don't embarrass the young man, now." Said a mare with a perfectly white coat with a purple mane as she stepped from the crowd as well. "I'm sure he can take care of himself. Especially with a body like that."
The flirtatiousness in her voice made Raian's cheeks flush red. She took a step closer and introduced herself, Fluttershy letting go of his neck as she did so.
"I'm Rarity. I work down at the Carousel Boutique. Come down sometime if you want me to make you some new clothes. Or to just visit."
"Uh... Okay." Raian replied almost embarrassed as he felt his cheeks become hotter.
Another mare with an orange coat, a cowboy hat and blonde hair stepped from the crowd and stood beside Rarity.
"I've gotta agree with ya there, Rarity. With a build like that, he could probably almost buck as hard as me." The blonde mare said boastfully. "Oh, and I'm Applejack. Pleasure to meet ya."
"Hi!" A pink mare suddenly came into Raian's view, her head being upside down. She was standing on his shoulders. "My name's Pinkie Pie, and I really like to party! Do you like to party! What's your favorite kind of party!? Surprise parties!? Birthday parties!? How about-!"
Pinkie was silenced when Rainbow went over and placed her hooves over her muzzle.
"Pinkie, that's enough." Rainbow then released Pinkie's muzzle.
"Aww, but I wanted to know what kind of balloons he liked. And cake! Can't forget the cake!"
Twilight sat thinking. What else could she ask? As she thought, she remembered that she needed to check on the preparations of the Summer Sun Celebration.
"Oh no! I totally forgot!" She stood up and turned to Spike, who was staring at Rarity with hearts in his eyes. "Spike!"
The dragon shook his head and shifted his head to Twilight.
"What? I wasn't staring." Spike said as he tried to hide his embarrassment.
"What? Well, whatever. We need to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration."
Spike pulled out a list and read the top of it. He noticed that all the ponies that were supposed to be working were standing right in front of him. He looked up at Twilight and turned to paper towards her. She read it and turned and looked back at the five ponies standing near Raian, who had stood back up and was dusting his pants off.
"We can all come a talk to Raian later. You all need to finish preparing for the Summer Sun Celebration."
All the ponies looked at each other. Most with looks were of disappointment. They all went off to separate parts of the town to finish preparing for the Summer Sun Celebration.
"What's the Summer Sun Celebration?" Raian decided to ask.
"Oh, its a celebration that happens every year. Its when Princess Celestia comes and raises the sun in front of all of us to witness with out own eyes. It marks the Summer Solstice and is the longest day of the year." Twilight informed.
"Princess Celestia?" Raian asked curiously.
"Yeah. Princess Celestia is the ruler of Equestria. She's been ruling it for the last 1,000 years."
"One thousand?" Raian began to get excited at this. Something that has been alive this long must have great fighting experience. She's a ruler, no less.
"Anyway, we really need to get going. Feel free to tag along with me. I'm sure the other ponies would be happy to speak with you again." Twilight began to walk in a random direction with Spike following her.
"Alright." Raian said, his mind still on this Princess Celestia. This Summer Sun Celebration would be the perfect opportunity to meet her.
Spike and Raian followed closely behind Twilight. Twilight took the parchment from Spike with her magic, which Raian was a little surprised to see.
The first pony on their list was to check to see if the pony Rainbow Dash had cleared all the clouds out of the sky. Twilight lowered the parchment from her face and looked around, seeing that there were still plenty of clouds floating about in the sky.
"She's not doing a very good job."
"Look out!" Rainbow's voice shouted as Twilight was hit by a rainbow colored blur. Raian and Spike looked down at Rainbow Dash who was lying on top of Twilight who was lying in a puddle of water. Rainbow got up off of Twilight backed up a few steps, chuckling nervously.
"Sorry about that." Rainbow apologized as Twilight got up from the puddle, her entire body now soaking wet. "Oops. Here, I'll fix that for ya. With my Rainbow Blow Dryer!"
Rainbow unfurled her wings and began flying around Twilight fast enough to make a rainbow tornado around her. Rainbow stopped herself and landed on the ground next to Twilight. Twilight's mane and tail sat in its normal position for a few seconds before puffing out and becoming incredibly frizzy.
Rainbow held a hoof to her mouth to try and hold in her laughter. He few chuckles escaped her lips before she fell on the ground and started laughing uncontrollably. Spike followed after Rainbow Dash and started to laugh at Twilight's hair. He fell down onto Rainbow Dash and they both laughed together. Raian couldn't help but let out a few stifled chuckles.
Twilight stared with a unamused look at the pegasus and dragon until they stopped laughing. Rainbow wiped a tear away from her eye as she rose back up to her hooves and looked at Twilight.
"Excuse me, Rainbow. But you were supposed to of already cleared the clouds from the sky." Twilight spoke with no sign of humor in her tone.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I could do it in ten seconds flat." Rainbow spoke with no exaggeration.
"Prove it." Twilight challenged. Rainbow made a look as if she was offended before she took off flying incredible speed, kicking, punching and flying through every single cloud until there was none left in the sky, all within ten seconds.
Rainbow floated back down and landed in front of Raian, Twilight and Spike with a very smug grin on her muzzle.
"See? Ten. Seconds. Flat."
Raian grinned at Rainbow Dash.
"That was pretty impressive." Raian admitted.
"Yeah. I know." Rainbow bragged with a flick of her mane.
"Well, now that that's done, on to the next preparation!" Twilight began to quickly walk away from Rainbow. Raian and Spike looked at each other for a moment before following after her.
"See you later, Afro Sparkle! And you too, Raian!" Rainbow shouted after the group. Raian turned his head and waved back at Rainbow while Twilight merely sighed and rolled her eyes at pegasi's remark.
The purple unicorn pulled out the parchment again and read it some more. Their next destination was back at the Town Hall where Rarity was designing the place for the celebration.
Twilight, Spike, and Raian arrived back at the Town Square and entered the building marking it. They and walked inside and found Rarity floating ribbons about with her magic. Raian watched her do so very carefully. He noticed that there is a slight delay each time she used her magic to pick up a ribbon. He felt this would be important and made it a mental note.
"Excuse me." Twilight said as she approached the elegant white unicorn, her mane and tail still a wreck.
"Hold on one second, darling. I'm in the zone right now." Rarity said with a wave of her hoof. "Put one there... And there. Done!"
Rarity turned around and her eyes were met with Twilight's. Her eyes drifted up to Twilight's mane and she let out a gasp of sheer horror.
"Oh my goodness, what happened to your hair!?" Rarity asked as her gaze remained on Twilight's new hairstyle.
"Rainbow Dash ran into me." Twilight said flatly. Rarity clicked her tongue while rolling her eyes.
"That ruffian. She needs to take her flying practice elsewhere. Anyway, would allow me to fix your hair for you?" Rarity asked kindly.
"Sorry. But We're kinda in a hurry." Twilight replied with an apologetic grin.
"Come now, I insist!" Rarity grabbed Twilight with her hooves and pulled her into a room in the back of building. Raian looked at Spike who was staring at Rarity again. He looked away from him and walked after the two unicorns. Spike began floating after them, hearts trailing behind him.
Raian and Spike both watched Rarity use her magic which held several hair products and accessories on Twilight's hair. Several minutes passed until Rarity stepped away from Twilight with a proud smirk on her muzzle.
"Done! What do you think, darling?" Rarity hovered a mirror in front of Twilight's face. Her mane was back to the way it was, and was more silky and shinier than before.
"T-Thank you, Rarity. But, if you don't mind, we really need to be going now." Twilight got up from her seat and turned to Raian and Spike. Spike was staring at Rarity with a little bit of drool coming from his closed mouth.
"What about you, darling? Would you like me to fix your hair?" Rarity asked Raian.
"No thanks. My hair's always like this." Raian stated.
"It is?" Rarity and Twilight said in unison.
"Yeah. A Saiyan's hair never changes from the day they are born." Raian explained.
"Wow. Guess you've never needed a haircut, huh?" Rarity asked, a little jealous of that fact actually. "It would be nice to have hair that never changes. I wouldn't have to style mine every morning."
"Yeah, it is kinda nice." Raian commented as he ran a hand through his spiky hair.
"Anyway, Rarity. Thanks for fixing my hair and we'll be on our way now." Twilight walked through out of the room and began to head to the exit door with the Saiyan and Dragon following her.
"Do come visit me soon!" Rarity hollered after the three.
"Alright, what's next? Twilight asked herself out loud as she took the parchment out again. Next on the list was the food being provided by a place called Sweet Apple Acres.
After wandering the town and asking for directions, the three finally found Sweet Apple Acres. They entered the large orchard of apple trees, taking in the sight and the smell. They eventually came across Applejack who was bucking an apple tree, causing apples to fall from the tree and into the baskets laid around it.
"Hello, Applejack." Twilight said as she approached the farmer pony.
Applejack turned her head from the tree and onto Twilight.
"Well, howdy. Twilight was it? Whatchya need?"
"I was just checking on the food preparations." Twilight answered.
"Don't worry yourself now, I've got that all under control." Applejack said as her eyes shifted over to the Saiyan standing behind the purple unicorn. "Well, howdy to you too there Raian. Ya tagging along with Twilight here?"
"Yeah, actually. I'm a little interested in this Summer Sun Celebration of yours." Raian replied.
"I wouldn't want ya to miss it. Watching Princess Celestia herself raise the sun is something to behold."
"I can't wait to meet her. She must have great fighting experience for someone so old."
"I know she's great with magic. That's for sure. Tell me, Raian. Were you telling the truth with your planet being destroyed and all?" Applejack asked, being sincere with her question.
"Yeah. This isn't something I would lie about. But if you all want proof, well... I guess you'll just have to wait for later." Raian grinned, making Twilight, Spike, and Applejack a little curious as to what he was implying. Disregarding it, Twilight turned back to Applejack and smiled a fake smile.
"Alright. The food and everything looks good here. We'll just be on our way now." Twilight said as she got ready to head back into town.
"Actually, I'm a little hungry. Can I have one of your apples?" Raian asked Applejack while pointing to the nearby apple tree.
"Sure!" Applejack turned her back to the tree and she gave it a light kick with her hoof. A single apple fell from the tree and landed on Applejack's hoof. "Here you go!"
She handed the apple to Raian, which he took and immediately took a bite out of it. The apple was very sweet, and was filled with juice. He swallowed the apple and wiped the juice from his mouth with his hand.
"Thanks, Applejack."
"It was my pleasure. Come back soon now, ya hear?"
Raian gave a wave of his hand as he began to walk out of the orchard with Twilight and Spike. Twilight though, was still a tad curious as to what Raian said earlier.
"So. What's next, Twilight?" Spike asked as they walked through Ponyville, ponies still eyeing them, particularly Raian.
"It says that there's a pony named Fluttershy that's taking care of the music. It says that she's on the outskirts of town near the Everfree Forest." Twilight said as she looked over the parchment that she held in front of her with her magic. She then made the parchment disappear with her magic.
"I think that was that pony that got all sappy when I told her about the fate of Planet Vegeta." Raian said as he thought about the pink maned pegasus that came and hugged him with tears in her eyes.
The three reached the edge of town and found Fluttershy doing what looked like she was composing to a bunch of birds. One of the birds hit a few off notes, making Fluttershy stop with the other birds stopping as well.
Fluttershy began flapping her wings and she flew up to the bird that hit the off note.
"Um, excuse me Mr. Blue Jay. You could try and sing just slightly lower?" Fluttershy asked sweetly. The blue jay nodded in response. "Thanks you."
Fluttershy flew back down to the ground and got ready to start again.
"Um, excuse me." Twilight said as she tapped Fluttershy on the shoulder. Fluttershy let out a loud scream before darting behind the tree that the bird were perched up on. Said birds flew away when Fluttershy screamed.
Fluttershy poked her head out from behind the tree, shaking furiously. She saw Raian and her expression changed from scared to happy.
"Oh, Raian. Did you come to see me?" Fluttershy asked shyly with a slight blush on her face.
"Not exactly. I'm just kinda following Twilight around until I can see this Princess Celestia she told me about."
"Oh, Princess Celestia? I'd be so honored to have an audience with her. I heard that her garden has some of the most exotic creatures in them." Fluttershy spoke happily. Her eyes shifted up to the sky like she was day dreaming.
"Hey, sorry for scaring your birds away Fluttershy." Twilight apologized.
"Oh, its okay. I'll call them back. We're pretty much done preparing from the Summer Sun Celebration anyway." Fluttershy then noticed Spike. She let out a loud gasp and ran up to him and leaned her head down at eye level with him. "Oh, what a cute little baby dragon."
"Aw shucks." Spike said a little embarrassed.
"What's it like to be a dragon?" Fluttershy asked excitedly.
"Well, what do you want to know?" Spike asked back.
"Absolutely everything."
Spike began by telling Fluttershy about when his life started as an egg.
"I started out as an egg..."
It was now sunset, and Spike was just finishing telling Fluttershy his tale when the four arrived at what looked like a tree house.
"... and now here I am! Being Twilight's assistant and helping her out whenever and however I can." Spike finished his tale as he sat on Twilight's back, facing Fluttershy who had been following the three.
"Thank you, Spike." Twilight turned her head around and faced Fluttershy. "I'm sorry, but we really need to get going now. Bye!" Twilight said hurriedly as she quickly ran in the door of the tree house looking building, pulling Raian inside with her magic as she did.
She quickly shut the door behind her and took a deep breath.
"Finally, some peace and quiet." Twilight thought to herself.
Suddenly, the lights flicked on standing before the three was the entire population of Ponyville.
"Surprise!" They all yelled at once.
Pinkie Pie then popped up in front of Raian with confetti somehow popping up with her.
"Hey! Were you surprised!? Were ya!? Huh huh huh!?"
Raian merely stared at the hyper pink party pony with a blank face. It was then that he noticed that Pinkie was latched onto him by his midsection. He slipped an arm out of her grip and took her off of him and placed her on the floor.
"I guess I was surprised." Raian finally answered.
"I'll take it. Lets party!" Pinkie then zipped off to a different part of the room, which Raian now figured out was a library due to all the books everywhere. He wasn't much of a reader. He preferred learning from experience.
Raian noticed that Twilight and Spike were already off doing their own thing. He saw Spike dancing in the middle of the room with a lamp shade on his head. Looking a little more, he saw Twilight getting a drink from a table over on the right. She seemed like she was irritated by something.
Raian walked over to her, having to step through, and over a few ponies to get to her.
"Hey Twilight." Raian asked which made her turn her head to him.
"Oh, hey Raian." Twilight said with a sigh.
"You seem troubled. What's bothering you?"
Twilight looked around to make sure no one was watching or listening. She then motioned Raian to follow her upstairs, which he did so.
When they got upstairs and into the bedroom that was up there, Twilight peaked behind the door to make sure no one was following her. She shut the door and turned to Raian. She walked over to him and sat down a few feet away.
"You should sit down. This will take a while." Twilight insisted. Raian did as she said and sat down in front of her. "About 1,000 years ago, Princess Celestia had banished the dreaded Nightmare Moon to the moon. She's also known as the mare in the moon."
Twilight turned her head to the window. Raian followed suite and saw what looked like the head of a pony on the moon.
"The legend says that after 1,000 years after she was banished, that day being tomorrow, the stars will aid her in her escape and she will return to Equestria to bring forth eternal night..."
"... I'm afraid what will happen if something isn't done about this. That's why I'm so nervous and on edge."
"Fear is a heavy burden, Twilight. You must not let it stop you from what must be done. I learned that the hard way." Raian said as he remembered that day again. His eyes drifted to the floor as he remembered his past. A past he could never escape.
Raian swallowed his pain and looked back up at Twilight who was looking at him worriedly.
"Are you okay?" Twilight asked as she slightly raised her hoof. Raian took in a deep breath, then released it.
"I'm fine. Lets go. Spike is probably waiting for you." Raian assured as he walked to the door. Raian let Twilight through first and he followed her back down to the second floor. As they walked, It was then that Raian began to take more notice to the symbol on her flank.
"Hey, Twilight. What's that on your butt?" Raian asked as he pointed at the symbol on Twilight's rear. She turned her head back to him, then down at what he was pointing to.
"Oh. That's my cutie mark. Everypony gets one when they find out what they are good at in life." Twilight stopped to explain. "Mine means that I'm good at magic. I was accepted by Princess Celestia herself to be her personal protege."
Twilight couldn't help but say it with a little pride. She then began to walk again.
"Huh. Interesting. Pretty much all Saiyan's are naturally good at fighting. There's one that was born with a power level of 10,000 according to my parents." Raian replied as he followed her by her side. He did know who this Saiyan was.
"Power level?" Twilight asked curiously.
"Yeah. Its a number that one can read through a piece of technology called a Scouter. When the power level is too high, the Scouter will explode due to it overloading."
"Ooooh. What's it look like?" Twilight said, getting really intrigued by what Raian was telling her. Raian thought for a moment. He wore a Scouter before he learned how to sense energy.
"Its kinda like a little box that you put on your left ear with a lense that sits in front of your left eye. There's a button on it that you press and it will both tell you the location of a Ki source, and tell you its power level. It can also act as a communicator to anyone else with a Scouter."
"Wow. I really need to take notes about this. Your race and your technology sounds very interesting. Would you mind coming here after the Summer Sun Celebration and answering some questions for me?" Twilight asked sweetly. She finally began relaxing now that her mind is off Nightmare Moon.
"Alright. As long as I get to do what I came here for."
"And what's that?" Twilight asked.
"I want to challenge Princess Celestia to a battle." Raian said out loud. He and Twilight just got downstairs when he said it.
"Are you nuts!? She's a Princess!" Twilight said in a high whisper.
"Don't worry. It won't be that kind of fight. I just want to see how powerful she is." Raian explained. Twilight was about to come back, but stopped herself when she began to think how powerful Princess Celestia actually is. Could she be like that Frieza Raian mentioned who apparently has the power to destroy an entire planet with his finger? Or could she be even stronger? The mere thought gave Twilight a slight shiver up her spine.
Twilight was then snapped out of her thought when she heard a pony yell something.
"Hey, everypony! The Summer Sun Celebration is about to start!" The pony shouted. Everypony in the library started to make their way out of the door. Raian and Twilight followed them all to the Town Square building, which is the same place that they saw Rarity again.
When inside, Everpony settled down and waited eagerly for the celebration to start.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! Are you excited!? Cause I am! Its always a great opportunity to be able to see Princess Celestia raise the sun! Oooh! I'm just so excited!" Pinkie Pie said as she bounced up and down in place.
Raian turned his head from Pinkie to the window to his right. He could see the moon through and the head of a pony that Twilight mentioned earlier. As he looked at the moon, the head of the pony faded away from its surface, making Raian squint his eyes in suspicion. Something was going happen. He felt it.
"Mares and Gentlecots! May I have your attention!" Said a mare with a grey mane at the front of the room. Raian and everyone else turned to face the mare. "Princess Celestia has just arrived! I'd like you all to stomp as loudly as you can for the one! The only! Princess Celestia!"
The mare waved her hoof at a balcony near the top of the room. Rarity was standing on it and she pulled the curtain aside as Fluttershy's birds began to sing, only to abruptly stop when everyone saw that no one was behind the curtain.
Everyone gasped except for Raian, who was beginning to feel a very evil energy approaching.
A purple cloud of smoke emerged and floated over the balcony that Princess Celestia was supposed to be standing on. The cloud swirled around in a circle and touched the ground of the balcony. A bright flash of light made everyone shield their eyes. When the light stopped, they all returned their gaze onto the balcony to see a pitch black mare with both a horn and wings wearing a light blue helmet and shoes. Her cutie mark was a white moon with a purple backdrop. Her mane and tail were also flowing as if it was being blown by a soft breeze.
The alicorn looked down from the balcony at all that were below. She laughed at the looks of fear they were giving her.
"Nightmare Moon." Twilight whispered just loud enough for Raian to hear her.
"Hey! What did you do with the princess!?" Rainbow yelled as she charged at the alicorn. Nightmare squinted her eyes slightly and a lightning bolt came down and struck Rainbow, sending her flying back. She braced herself for the wall she was flying towards, only to be stopped by something that held her up. She opened her eyes and looked up and was struck with awe when she saw that it was Raian who had flown up and caught her.
Raian looked down at the rainbow haired mare in his arms and let go of her. She immediately began to flap her wings and she hovered back down to the ground, her eyes still staring at the Saiyan in utter shock, confusion, and excitement all at the same time. Same went for everyone else in the room, except for the alicorn that was glaring at him angrily.
"Who are you!?" Nightmare Moon hissed, gnashing her sharp, predator like teeth at him.
"I am Raian, I'm a Saiyan from Planet Earth, and I'm here to defeat you." Raian stared back at Nightmare Moon. Both were staring daggers at each other.
Nightmare Moon growled and her horn lit up with magic. She released a purple colored magic beam at Raian which he dodged almost effortlessly. The beam blasted right through the wall behind the blue haired Saiyan and went on until it destroyed a mountain beyond the outskirts of Ponyville.
Raian kept his eyes on Nightmare Moon when all of this happened. Nightmare was shocked that he was able to dodge her blast.
"Wow. He's fast!" Rainbow commented from below.
"He is pest, and deserves to be crushed like one!" Nightmare yelled before charging at Raian. She flipped herself backwards and tried to kick Raian, only for him to grab her legs and throw her out of the building through the ceiling, creating another hole. Raian flew out after her, the ponies in the building rushing outside to see the fight.
Raian and Nightmare Moon hovered over the town of Ponyville. The moonlight created a rather fitting tone to the battle at hand. Nightmare Moon looked up and down Raian's body, taking notice of his tail and his hair color. It was then she realized that he was a Saiyan. She grinned at this and looked back into Raian's eyes.
"No wonder you were able to dodge my blast. You're no ordinary Saiyan are you?" Nightmare Moon asked, knowing that blue hair isn't common on a Saiyan.
"Maybe I'm not. But I do know that I'm the Saiyan who's going to beat you." Raian cleverly stated. Nightmare laughed at Raian's remark.
"Well, you wouldn't happen to be a Super Saiyan would you?" Nightmare asked with a smirk.
"As a mater of fact, I am." Raian stated confidently, making a smirk of his own. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Raian was enveloped by his signature aura as he began to power up. His hair flowed in the wind he was creating as he continued his power up. His blue hair flashed gold for a brief moment, and his eyes briefly became an emerald green color. The power he was generating was causing the entire planet to shake.
Out in the city of Manehattan, windows broke and street signs toppled over from the power being generated by the Saiyan hundreds of miles away. A filly with a light brown coat and red and pink hair was holding onto her mothers leg, who was holding onto a stop light.
"W-What's going on!?" The filly spoke through the rumbling. She looked down the street and into the outskirts of the town and saw a small glowing mass of golden light shining in the distance.
Raian's scream became short sustained grunts as he felt the immense power of the Super Saiyan flowing through his veins. Raian felt his energy spike and he let out a load roar facing towards the sky, his aura bursting into a gold one with his hair doing the same.
Raian continued to roar at the sky for a few more seconds until he slowly stopped. He then slowly lowered his head back down and looked at Nightmare Moon through his now sharpened, emerald green colored eyes. Everypony watching was awestruck by the transformation
Nightmare Moon was almost frozen in fear by the one standing before her. She soon broke out of her stupor and grinned at Raian.
"You've powered up quite impressively, Saiyan." Nightmare began. "We'll see how that power holds up after I transform!"
Raian's eyes widened in shock as he watched Nightmare Moon's horn glow and she enveloped herself with a white magic. The magic shined brightly, making all the ponies that were watching shield their eyes with their hooves. Raian on the other hand watched Nightmare Moon's transformation.
He watched her hind legs stretch and the hooves morph into feet. Her fore legs became a smaller and the hooves morphed into hands. Nightmare's body shrunk down and she gained a set of breasts. Raian also managed to see some clothes appear over her body.
When her transformation was complete, the light she was creating flashed even brighter for a few brief moments before the light slowly faded and Nightmare Moon's new form was revealed.
Nightmare Moon's eyes were closed for a few moments, before she opened them and they focused on Raian. The narrow slits that were her pupils seemed to pierce his very soul.
"So, monkey. How about we put that Super Saiyan power to the test?" Nightmare Moon grinned evilly.
"Don't blame me if I break you." Raian retorted in a calm, yet slightly deeper tone of voice as he got into a battle stance with Nightmare Moon getting into a stance of her own.
This is it! The battle that will decide the fate of Equestria is about to get underway! Will the young Super Saiyan succeed in defeating the Mare in the Moon, or will he fail and have all of Equestria plunged into eternal night?
