Chapters Warrior Cats: First Harmony
Applejack ran. She darted through the dark, scary trees, finally reaching the border of the forest. She had to tell Twilight about what she had just seen. She could figure out what was happening. Applejack stopped and let herself catch her breath, wiping the sweat off her forehead as she did so.
She carried on, down the mile-long pathway until she reached the path into ponyville. She galloped on, past the startled ponies around her. She was nearing sugarcube corner now, she could see it in the distance. She was about to flash past it, but somepony stopped her.
"Hey AJ! Where are you going in such a super-duper hurry?" Asked a high, bouncy voice.
"I need to tell Twi somethin', Pinkie."
"Ooooh, what is it? Can I come?"
"I'll tell ya later. Now come on!"
With Pinkie behind her, Applejack streaked up the cobblestone path and got to Twilight's house at last. Knocking on the door as hard as Applejack could, a faint answer could be heard. Hoofsteps were heard and the door swung open, Twilight at the door with spike at her side.
"Twilight! I'm glad to see ya. Ah need tah tell ya somethin'." Applejack said.
Twilight looked at Pinkie questioningly.
"Oh. Pinkie's here because she wanted to know as well. There's no time to explain. You need to know right away."
"So, what is it? And why in Celestia's name do you look so worn out?"
"We ran here!" Answered Pinkie. Despite the fact that she ran quote a distance as well, she strangely didn't show it. "Applejack said she ran aaaall the way here, and I thought, this must be super-duper important if she ran so far!"
"So, Applejack, what is the matter? Asked Twilight.
"Well, it's a long story. Winona is ill, ya see. It's nothin' too serious, but I thought Zecora might have a cure. So ah went in the everfree forest, but on the way, there was somethin' like ah have never seen before. It was almost like... A portal to a different world. Ah ran over to ya as soon as ah saw it. Ah thought that you would know what to do."
Twilight looked speechless for a couple of moments before answering.
"I don't think I have any spells that can help. Maybe I should ask Princess Celestia for help...?" Twilight thought aloud. "Yes, that's what I'll do. Spike, a letter to Princess Celestia."
"Yes, Right away, Twilight." The Assistant said faithfully.
"Ready?" Twilight asked, "Dear Princess Celestia,
today something very strange has been found in the Everfree forest by Applejack. She says that she found a portal-like object, and she ran to me for help on what to do. Unfortunately, I don't know any spells that would help. Will you please help me and give me some advice on what to do?
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle."
"Shall I send it, Twilight?"
"Yes. Right away, it may grow dangerous if we let it go on."
With a blow of green smoke, the letter was gone.
Almost immediately the reply came.
"Okay," said spike, burping it up, "Have a look."
The three ponies and the baby dragon looked at the letter.
On the parchment, it said:
Dear Twilight, My faithful student,
I agree that there are not very many spells that would fix a problem like this. I have asked my Royal Guards to look for a spell that may fix this, but until then there is nothing much I can do. In the meantime, however, we must investigate so that we know what spells would be useful. I have a fear that if we let large amounts of time pass before fixing it, it may grow bigger therefore creating trouble. My sister and I will also be accompanying you, to see if there is anything we can do to help. I suggest that you bring a large group of ponies, in case there is any trouble.
Princess Celestia
"Who shall we bring?" Twilight asked.
"Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Derpy, Bonbon, Lyra, Big Mac, Zecora, Berry Punch, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, and..." Pinkie said confidently, "Maybe the Cutie Mark Crusaders? They would love to come and try to get a cutie mark of some sort."
"Uh.. The Cutie Mark Crusaders..." Applejack said hesitantly, "Are you sure?"
"They might want to try and earn their cutie marks." Said Twilight, "They are pretty desperate for one. Why don't you let them?"
"Aw, shucks... Ah guess they won't do no harm." Applejack replied.
"Then let's gather everypony! Meet you here at three o'clock."

Soon everypony was gathered in Twilight's library. It was rather squashed in there, but everypony managed to fit.
"Why are we here?" Rainbow dash said, hovering above the other ponies, "I was gonna practise my flying!"
"Everypony!" Shouted Twilight, "We are here because Applejack found a portal in the everfree forest. Princess Celestia instructed me to take a group of ponies with me to investigate!"
"Well, What are we waiting for, darling? Let's go!" Rarity said.
____________________
They were soon in the everfree forest, Almost everypony scared out of their wits. The princesses comforted them a little as they landed next to the group of ponies.
"I want to go home." Said Fluttershy.
"It'll be over soon, don't you worry Fluttershy." Said Applejack comfortingly. "We're almost here." She added as they entered the gloomier part of the forest. "Just a few more Hoofsteps-"
But she was interrupted by something that seemed to be pulling them in towards it.
"What in the hay!?" Rainbow said, "We're being sucked in!"
She was right. In a matter of seconds, the ponies were sucked into the portal, straight into another world.

Warrior Cats: First Harmony
Six strangely colored cats lay defeated on the outskirts of a forest house. One was purple with a darker purple head and tail with pink streaks and purple eyes; one was white with dark purple ears and dark purple on the tip of its tail with emerald-blue eyes; one was a light pink with darker pink ears and tip of tail with sky-blue eyes; one was a pale yellow with a light pink head and tail and light blue eyes; one was cyan blue with a Ranbow colored tail and rose eyes. The only cat who seemed to be slightly normally-colored was an orange cat with blonde fur on its ears and tail with green eyes.
Applejack was first to get up, and leaped in a mixture of surprise, shock and terror as she realised she was peering at a pair of paws. She inspected her paws. They were no longer hooves, and a lot more furry, complete with claws she could contract and relax. She felt her head with her fur-covered paws. She felt a nose instead of the two nostrils she used to have. Her snout was a little smaller, and she felt long, wiry whiskers. She had more teeth, and instead of the flat herbivore teeth she used to possess these were jagged, carnivore fangs. Her ears were larger and she could certainly hear more. She looked back, and saw her longer flank. Her tail was thinner but bushy, and lastly and most surprising, she was without a cutie mark.
"What in Tarantion?!" She meowed, realising what she was, "I'm a cat!"
Her loud exclaims awoken the other five tired-looking cats, who also had a look of confusion and surprise on their faces. Twilight stood, petrified; Pinkie Pie let out a yowl; Rarity muttered curses under her breath; Rainbow was staring at the wingless part of her back in shock and Fluttershy wrapped herself in a ball, trying to hide from her fright. After what seemed like hours, the cats finally came to their senses and calmed down. Rarity finally broke the silence and asked, "Twilight, why are we cats? And where is this horribla and dirty place?"
"And why haven't we got cutie marks, or wings or horns!?" Rainbow added.
"I don't know," mewed Twilight, a confused and perplexed and expression on her face.
"But I NEED to fly! I didn't get my cutie mark for nothing, ya know!"
"Twilight got her cutie mark for magic, and she isn't making a fuss." Rarity pointed out. "Plus, you don't have one anymore."
"I don't mind being a cat at all." Said Fluttershy, who had overcome her shock and sat there as if nothing major happened. "Actually, I've always wanted to see how it's like to be a cat, and it tuna out it isn't bad at all."
"You don't care that... You can't fly!?" Rainbow Dash meowed, completely nonplussed.
"I think being a cat is going to be sooooooooooo cool! I mean, you can jump higher and run faster, and I can probably shout waaaaaaay louder!" Pinkie meowed excitedly
"Ah agree with Pinkie. Being a cat won't be so bad. And, " Applejack added, "We can see who's the real 'Iron pony'- I mean Iron cat."
Rainbow Dash tried to look like the comment meant nothing to her, but her eyes betrayed her irritation. "But-"
They all stopped talking when a rustle in the bushes was heard. That wasn't a mouse or a rabbit. It was something far bigger.
"W-who is that?" Fluttershy mewed under her shallow breath.
Two cats sprung out of the bushes. They were twice the size of the other cats standing before them. The first was a silvery-gray she-cat, muscles rippling under her fur and her icy blue eyes staring down at the intruders. She looked wise and noble, and the white hairs on her snout indicted she was an older cat. The second was a white cat with eyes the color of sand and a similar build to the first, with the same muscle and size, though he was not quite as tall.
"Greetings." Meowed the gray she-cat, "I am Bluestar, leader of ThunderClan. This is Whitestorm, one of my most trusted warriors. May I ask, why are you young stranger cats trespassing in ThunderClan territory?"
"We... Uh.. Um..." Mewed Fluttershy timidly.
"What's ThunderClan?" Asked Pinkie curiously.
Their whiskers twitching with amusement, Bluestar and Whitestorm turned and walked a few metres away, starting their own private conversation.
"Bluestar," Whitestom meowed in a hushed tone, "are these not the cats from the prophecy?"
Bluestar looked back at the cats, her doubtful eyes becoming believing ones, and mewed in reply, "Yes."
"What are we supposed to do? Take them back to camp?"
"I suppose so, yes."
"Very well, Bluestar."
The two cats returned to the other six.
"We are from ThunderClan, one of the four clans in the forest. First, there are kits, under six moons old- or months, I believe you call it- then there are apprentices. Kits are made apprentices when they are six moons old. I'd say all of you are about the age of an apprentice. Then, there's warriors. We are low on warriors- there have been many battles lately, which is partly why we need you so much, Warriors fight in battle against the other rival clans. They'd fight for the clan with their life, of they had to. Then there is the queens, who look after the kits and the elders, too old to fight in battle anymore. Then there's the Medicine cat, the deputy, and the leader." Bluestar explained. "This is brief. You will learn more when we get to camp, if you come."
A puzzled look was among the faces of the listening cats (apart from Whitestorm) as they listened to Bluestar's last sentence.
Bluestar, as if she had read their thoughts, said, "Listen, every one of you cats. There has been a prophecy among our clan. That some strange new cats would appear in our clan, and we would not bring any harm to them. It is your choice. Follow us, we will take you back to camp, or stay here and fend for yourselves. Come now, or never."
The six cats behind Bluestar and Whitestorm looked at each other in surprise. Should they go, or shouldn't they? But there was no time to decide as a shout came from the house nearby. There was trouble everywhere in the forest, that was certain. The newcomers were definitely not going to be able to fend for themselves in the forest.
Bluestar and Whitestorm started running, the other six behind. They all ran as fast as they could, but not nearly as fast as the two battle-scarred cats in front of them. They ran through sharply fragrant pine trees and mud that squelched under their paws. They had to leap over great gullies that twoleg tree-eaters and monsters created. Some of the gullies were definitely too far to jump over, and filled with slimy, foul-smelling water. Both Warriors waded through the water without hesitation. You could hear Rarity wincing as she waded through the water, but she knew if she was living in the forest she would have to get used to it. She gritted her teeth and carried on at a faster pace, determined not to fall back behind the group of cats. Soon every cat was out of the gullies, and they carried on.
The two warriors made no allowances for the others as they darted through the forest, and every cat was starting to struggle to keep up. Their pace barely slowed as they took massive leaps over fallen trees in their stride, meanwhile every other cat had to scramble over paw by paw. They saw the two warriors jumping up onto the branches of a tree and then carrying on. They were long gone by the time all six cats managed to get up there, but that wasn't a problem because they had left claw marks on the branches, which they followed.
Soon, they caught up with the wild cats (only because they waited for them) and were off again, down some boulders, then into the ravine.
"What was that shout back there?" Pinkie asked.
"A Twolegs. Now let's go."
Bluestar in lead, all eight cats pushed their way through a thick bush of gorse. The gorse scraped their sides, but the grass was flattened by the generations upon generations of pawsteps. The camp was pretty old, by the looks of it.
"We are nearly at the camp. Stay near me." Instructed Bluestar.
She was right. They were at the end of the gorse tunnel- and waiting for them was a truly astonishing sight- nothing like they had ever seen before.

Warrior Cats: First Harmony
Every cat stared at what they saw, eyes wide with delight. There were cats everywhere, sharing food and purring conversations as they groomed each other.
All the cats were sat in a clearing, or 'camp' as the warriors called it. It was pretty large; there were boulders down the side, a large thorn bush near the centre which looked like a den of some sort, and more den-like places around the edges. The camp protected by more bushes of gorse and a number of tall-looking ferns, which looked as if they kept the wind out as well as concealing it better.
"At midday, when it is hottest, all the cats of the clan share tongues. It is when you spend time grooming each other and sharing the news of the day." Whitestorm explained, signalling the chatting and grooming cats.
More than half of the cats had turned their heads and stared towards the new cats, smelling their unfamiliar scent.
"Who is that?" One cat asked.
"That smell doesn't belong to any clan I know!" Said another.
"How come they're weird colors?" Yowled a third.
"These sort of cats shouldn't be here!" Growled a dark striped tabby. "They're trespassing on our territory!"
"Sop being such a mouse-brain, Darkstripe." Said Whitestorm, "Bluestar-"
"I don't care!" Snapped Darkstripe. "No matter what you say, they are not welcome here!"
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash snapped, "You got a problem?"
"Get out of this, you colorful pile of fox dung." Darkstripe snarled.
"Are you lookin' for a fight?" Asked Applejack, unsheathing her claws and digging them into the ground, "because, if it's a fight you want, a fight you'll get!"
Darkstripe twitched the tip of his tail in hostility. "I'd like to see you try-"
Before Darkstripe could finish what he was saying, Pinkie Pie sprang at Darkstripe, her claws unsheathed and ready for battle. She landed on his back and raked her claws down the back of his head, but Darkstripe rolled over and pinned Pinkie to the floor, knocking the breath out of her lungs. Applejack also sprang at Darkstripe, her fore paws in front of her. She hit Darkstripe in the shoulder, leaving a cut and a small trickle of blood. He was just about to hit Applejack with a blow of his paw, which loosened his grip on Pinkie. She seized the opportunity and raked her claws down Darkstripe's belly. Fluttershy nervously stepped in. She distracted Darkstripe, who stopped fighting the other two. Darkstripe tried to get Fluttershy, but she was too fast for him. Moving like the wind, she dodged his powerful blows as if they were nothing.
"Enough." Bluestar said, "We don't want any cat seriously injured before you are apprenticed. You three have definitely proved yourselves that you are worthy!"
Applejack, Fluttershy and especially Pinkie Pie felt extremely happy at Bluestar's praise, even though some of them had cuts. All of them thought that they would not be proud at all- but strangely they all felt exhilarated in battle. Maybe it was second nature to cats.
"Well done. I'll show you around later." Said Whitestorm, "oh, and... when you get apprenticed- touch noses with your mentor. It's a sign of gratefulness and affection."
"Do you think that the other three are worthy of becoming ThunderClan apprentices?" Bluestar asked Whitestorm, who turned away from praising the new cats and faced Bluestar instead.
"Yes, they showed great determination even when we were out of sight. They used their wits to find us, as they are not yet very familiar with our scents. The colorful one, especially."
"Are you sure? What about the white and purple one?"
"I think that the white one is not used too the forest at all. Even though she was reluctant at times, she carried on. As for the purple one, she's very smart- skills that will be useful someday."
"I think that you have watched closely, so if you think they are worthy, then I shall announce their arrival to the Clan as soon as possible."
"Yes, I believe that they're worthy, Bluestar. Thank you."
Bluestar leapt up onto a boulder and yowled loud enough for everyone to hear, "let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the high rock for a meeting."
Her clear call brought all the cats assembled at the bottom of high rock, and they all looked up at their leader, anticipation in their eyes.
"The Prophecy has come true. Six cats completely unknown beforehand have appeared in the forest. They are all the age of apprentices, so I shall make them apprentices right away."
Agreeing yowls rose from the audience, except from Darkstripe, who was being looked after by a 'medicine cat' and a couple of Darkstripe's friends.
"I and Whitestorm have agreed that they are worthy. They showed great courage both in battle and on the journey here. Let us start the ceremony."
All six cats stood of high rock behind Bluestar, Twilight trying to look brave but her eyes betraying her anxiety; Rarity desparately trying to make herself more presentable; Pinkie Pie hopping up and down in excitement, not caring that she had an ache in her chest; Rainbow Dash puffing out her chest proudly, and Applejack soothingly trying to comfort Fluttershy, who was trembling in fright.
Rarity stepped forward first, standing beside Bluestar. Bluestar meowed, "From this moment on, you will be known as Radiantpaw, in honour of your radiant appearance." Radiantpaw looked very pleased that the leader had called, and indeed named, her radiant.
Next was Twilight, who nervously stepped forward. "From this Moment on, you will be known as Dawnpaw, In honour of your purple pelt." Dawnpaw, like Radiantpaw, was pleased with her name. Her eyes shone with her happiness, and she stood proudly.
Fluttershy trembled, but she managed to overcome her fear and she stepped forward. "From this moment on, you will be known as Windpaw, in honour of your swift yet silent footwork." Windpaw looked amazed that she had been complimented like this, and happiness and Bluestar's words gleamed in her eyes.
Then Pinkie Pie, who was practically dying to be apprenticed. "From this moment on, you will be known as Bubblepaw, in honour of your bright and eager personality." Bubblepaw looked as if she was going to yowl out in her pure joy. Obviously she liked her name. She had to strain herself not to hop about.
Next was Applejack. "From this moment on, you will be known as Amberpaw, in honour of your amber pelt." Amberpaw also seemed to like the sound of her new name, because she too had happiness in her eyes and a little pride in there too, though not much.
Lastly was Rainbow Dash. "From this moment on, you will be known as Aquapaw, in honour of your aqua pelt." Bluestar said. Rainbow Dash Like the others, loved her name. She looked (and was) very proud of and happy with it.
"As there are so many new apprentices, I am going to ask three of my most senior warriors to mentor two each. Whitestorm, you will mentor Bubblepaw and Dawnpaw. Tigerclaw, you will mentor Windpaw and Radiantpaw. Lionheart, you will mentor Amberpaw and Aquapaw." Bluestar said. The three mentors nodded and faced the newly-named apprentices.
Bubblepaw and Dawnpaw touched noses with Whitestorm, Windpaw and Radiantpaw touched noses with Tigerclaw, a dark tabby tom, and Aquapaw and Amberpaw touched noses with Lionheart, a magnificent golden tabby tom with thick fur like a lion's mane. His powerful mucles rippled under his fur, and his battle-scarred face broke into a friendly expression as he touched noses.
The mentors seemed very friendly to all of the apprentices, apart from Tigerclaw, who didn't really seem to show any emotion. Redtail, the deputy, was offering to show the camp to the apprentices while Lionheart offered to help them meet some of the cats.
The cats moved away with their own conversations. A few cats padded up to them and congratulated them, which made the six cats happy.
Whitestorm padded up to them, Redtail by his side. Lionheart finished his conversation with another warrior and then returned to the apprentices.
"Want to have a tour of camp?" Meowed Lionheart.
"Yes please!" Mewed Bubblepaw.
"You already know high rock. Bluestar lives, sleeps and makes meetings there. It has been there for who knows how many moons." Meowed Redtail.
"This is the Elder's den. They spend most of their remaining life in there. Sometimes they might let you share some food, which is an honour." Said Whitestorm, signalling the Elder's den with a flick of his tail. "Do you want to meet them?"
"Yes please! I would like to know every cat." Bubblepaw meowed excitedly.
In the next half hour the six apprentices met all of the cats. They had met Mousefur, Runningwind and Willowpelt, who were all warriors. They met Halftail, Smallear, One-eye, Patchpelt and Dappletail, who were all elders and told stories to them, which Dawnpaw in particular loved. They met the medicine cat, Spottedleaf, and the queens, Frostfur, Brindleface, Goldenflower and Speckletail along tin their rather cute kits. They hadn't met the other apprentices yet, but Lionheart said that they would meet them when they rest.
The sun was beginning to set by the time they had finished the tour. The sunset streaked the sky with magnificent yellows and reds before it sunk into the horizon.
"I don't know about you, but I think my paws are going to fall off!" Said Radiantpaw.
"Me too." Agreed Aquapaw.
"Me three!" Said Bubblepaw.
"Let's get some rest. We have first day of training tomorrow!" Meowed Dawnpaw, strolling towards the apprentice's den, "Come on."

Warrior Cats: First Harmony
ThunderClan and its many brave warriors came running towards the great rock, Bluestar in lead. WindClan were already there, as they scented. Bluestar sat next to Tallstar, the WindClan leader, on the great rock. It was not long before The RiverClan leader, Crookedstar, was there with his clan followed by Raggedstar, the ShadowClan leader.
"Greetings," said Bluestar, Adressing every cat. "Welcome to the gathering. I have stepped forward to talk first because a new prophecy is among us."
The cats below the High Rock murmured in their surprise.
"Carry on, Bluestar." Said Crookedstar.
"Our medicine cat, Spottedleaf, has foretold that many new and strange cats will enter this forest. They will join my clan and fight among us. They will help us rise from our warrior-scarce lives. They may look or act strange, but Starclan expects you to treat them as equals."
The cats below the leaders had mixed emotions; some of them were happy for ThunderClan, some angry that they were gaining more warriors and some didn't seem to care at all.
Raggedstar and Tallstar shared some news with the other clans about apprentices and new kits, then the gathering was closed and all cats strolled back to their camps, led by their leaders.
