An Old Enemy and An Ancient War

Part One

Sleeping in a vehicle wasn't a foreign idea to David, an ODST got sleep when they could, but David often found the ground more comfortable, as he did right now, just outside of Applelosa, David was getting some much needed bunk time after nearly two days of being awake. He had sent his lieutenant, Ruby Lance out to scout the enemy size and position. Sleeping peacefully, the events that transpired earlier still running through his head.

-Canterlot Castle-

"I see." Celestia said with her finger on her chin in contemplation, "this is a bold move for them. Very bold." She turned to Luna. "Sister, what do you think?" she asked with a concerned look.

"This is very troubling dear sister. They attacked a Princess." Luna said with a pause, "it means none of us are safe." She then looked at David with a confused look, a finger on her chin as she thought for a moment, then spoke. "You said that they called you a demon, a title only given to these things called spartans, can you tell us more about them?" Luna asked crossing her arms over her chest.

David sighed, no point in keeping protical. "If ONI was still around, they'd have my ass for this. Spartans are modified humans, their muscle, bone and even neurological structure has been modified to be stronger, respond faster, and are much, much harder to kill. I have seen a spartan take down a squad of elites. The covenant would call the Spartans "Demons", the only thing that would have a chance to take down a Spartan, would be an Elite Zelot." David said nearly shuddered at the thought.

Celestia took a deep breath. "Well, Captain, thank you for that information, please take your squad to Applelosa. Remove any Minotaurian military that is near there, and report back quickly." Celestia said and smiled, "and if i remember correctly, this was your favorite type of gun?" She levitated a sniper with six clips of ammuntion to him. "Go, save my people, and return quickly."

"Yes Princess." David replied turned and was greeted by a face full of blue, furry breast.

"Be safe my love." Luna said planting a loving kiss on Davids lips.

With smile, David broke the kiss, "I will."

-Alpha Squad's Camp Grounds-

Ruby Lance came flying trough the brush, his chest rising and falling quickly, his lungs felt like they where on fire. "Captain! Captain!"

Davids eyes instantly shot open as he grabbed his DMR and pulled the hammer back, ensuring there was a round in the chamber. Quickly getting to one knee, his DMR at the ready he looked around, only to see all his other squad mates jumping to their feet, armor and helmets off, but saw a panicked pegasus infront of him. "What is it lieutenant?" David asked in a raised voice.

"Sir! A new class of enemys, at least fourteen of them, all in large gold and sliver armor, at least twelve feet tall. But, their jaws, they looked, weird, like the bottom was split." Ruby rushed out.

David stood, shocked for a second before he grabbed his helmet and pulled it on over his head. He knew all to well this enemy.

"Fuck"
