When Princess Luna returned after her 1000 year banishment wanted to be more like her sister, when on a walk outside the castle she finds a young stallion injured in a field with no family or friends to turn to. By the next week Luna has adopted him as her only son (and student) . In an attempt to find his talent she sends him to live in Ponyville and meet the residents of the town.
