Parallel's Path

Epilogue B - Going Home

Previous Chapter

Parallel decided to return to her home world, with her biological parents. Before she walked through the mirror, she decided to give her hat and vest to Rocket Boost and Woodwind, because Midnight had given Equality the same clothes back when they were young, and Parallel felt it was only right to do the same for her friends from youth. Equality and Midnight had no objections to this, and Rocket Boost and Woodwind couldn't feel more grateful. After giving her father their last hug together, she smiled back at everypony, and walked through the mirror, which disappeared behind her.

Parallel was now back in the world where she belonged, with her real family. She was surprised to see just how similar this world was to the world she had lived in. Everything looked almost exactly alike. Same buildings, same landmarks, she wasn't sure if this was the same place or not. When she tried to think about her times back in the other world, nothing came to mind. All she could remember is that her purpose in the other world had been fulfilled, and that she had helped out many other ponies. Her mother spoke to her, saying,

"Welcome back, Parallel, to Equestria." Parallel was confused, since the other world was also known as Equestria.

"Uh, what do you mean 'welcome back', and where have I heard that name before?" Her father said,

"That's not important. Anyway, we need to get back home. There are some ponies that wish to speak with you." Parallel walked back with her parents, to their home in Ponyville.

On the way there, Parallel wondered just how long she had been gone. Last thing she remembered was going through a magic mirror, and now she was back. In fact, her memories had been changed to make her believe that everything that she had experienced in the alternate Equestria had actually been some sort of dream that had lasted about six hours or so, rather than six years or so. They finally made it back to their home, and there were five fillies, all about her age. One of them, a green earth pony spoke,

"Hi, I'm Lucky Hummer. I heard about what happened to you. It sounds strange, but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime." Before Parallel could respond, a blue unicorn spoke,

"I'm Windy Tropics. You're, like, so amazing, you know that? I heard what you did, and just wanted to say how awesome that is. Want to hang out sometime soon?" A yellow pegasus spoke next,

"I heard what happened to you. Greetings, my name is Insigne Opulent Lineage, but you can call me Insignia. I'm rather curious about you, and would like to join you sometime." A white pegasus spoke next,

"I'm Divided Mindset. You seem rather interesting. I've been looking for somepony to do something with. You up for it?" Parallel was overwhelmed by all these ponies wanting to be her friend, when the light-blue pegasus spoke,

"My name is Harbor Port. It's a privilege to finally meet you, Parallel. I was looking for somepony smart to discuss my knowledge with. If you're interested, please tell me."

All these ponies felt unfamiliar to Parallel, and yet she couldn't escape the feeling that she had seen all of them somewhere before. After thinking about it for a few minutes, she froze up, and her eyes gave off a rainbow glow. She responded to them all,

"I have an idea. Why don't we all hang out together? We can meet up at the park first thing tomorrow." All five fillies nodded in agreement to her, and Parallel went inside with her parents. As she got into her room, which she was able to find surprisingly quick, she looked into a mirror, and saw a stallion behind her, smiling. This stallion was the same colors as her--black coat, white mane, green-blue eyes and everything. She felt like she had seen this stallion before, so she looked behind her, to see who it was, but nopony was there. She felt like she was going crazy, and yet, she knew that she had never been in more of a sound mind.

The next morning, she walked to Ponyville Park, and she looked for the fillies she saw the day before. She finally found them all talking together in an open field, and as she approached them, they ran to her, each excited to see their new friend. Parallel felt happy, feeling that this was what her mind didn't allow her to remember. Princess Celestia observed them from a distance, saying to herself,

"Welcome back home, Parallel." The princess looked into the sky, as if she wanted to speak with somepony very distant. "Don't worry, Equality, your daughter is back here and just fine." Parallel spaced out, as if she had heard her, but went back to talking to her new friends.

After a few years since Parallel returned to her home world, she and her new friends all reached the age of mares. They each decided to take on different professions. Lucky Hummer moved to the White Tail Woods and became a wood sculptor, Windy Tropics moved to Las Pegasus and became a surfer, Insignia moved to Canterlot and worked at the observatory, Divided Mindset started training to become Equestria's best flyer, and Harbor Port started traveling Equestria, giving lectures about her knowledge, while Parallel stayed in Ponyville, and became the new teacher, after the previous one retired from the position. She was surprised one day when she saw two new students come in, both looking almost exactly like her. A pegasus colt and a unicorn filly, both black-coated and white-maned, like her. She said to them,

"What's your names, little ones?" The colt responded first,

"I'm Corollary." The filly then said,

"My name is Civility."

"Do you two have a home, or parents?" Both shook their heads. "Want to come live with me?" They both happily nodded.
