It was over. The Flim Flam Brothers had won the contest with the Apple family, and the farm was theirs. They now had the monopoly over cider.

Rather fortunately, although the contest was to see who could make the most batches of cider in time, the Flim Flam Brothers neglected quality control at the last minute to speed things up, and found nopony would even buy their cider.

And so, the brothers were unceremoniously chased off the farm by the townponies, who were always quick to change their minds…a fact Twilight Sparkle did not miss.

We remember a time
Of cider sublime,
There was plenty of drink in the air.
You think we’re so stupid,
We’d drink all your putrid
Cider and not seem to care?
I mean sure, yeah, we’re fickle
On the slightest tickle,
We bet on who’s the winning horse,
