Light Runner

Sniff, sniff ... sniff, sniff. I smell something ... tasty.

I open my eyes and notice, that Alex isn't here. "Alex?!"

"Downstairs, in the kitchen!" I stand up from the bed and walk downstairs to Alex. "Morning, Alex."

"Hey, Light."

We already live like we were a family.

"Can we do something together today? When I have to stay here alone already, then ..." He shakes his head. "Sorry, I said, I'm sick. But only too find out, where Jack is."

"Your friend you told about yesterday?" He nods. "Yes. Have to go now, sorry, Light. I made some toast for you, see ya!"

"But wait! I want too see your world outside this house ... is there really no way?" He sighs. "I know you want to. But ... you are too big for an dog in costume. Also you look to cartoon like. I'm sorry, Light."

"Urgh, beeing a stranger in a dangerous world is unfair. Okay, fine, I will find something ... any books here? I mean books, not your magazines." He nods. "Well ... yeah, there are a few, you see?"

"I can see them ... well bye, see ya later then." He sighs. "I'm really sorry ..."

Alex give me the toast he made and leave the house then. Again waiting.

I take one of the books from the bookshelves. It's a fantasy story. I start to reading it. While I read, I eat the toast, Alex made for me. I need only a few hours for finishing the book. "And bored again."

I look out the kitchen window, seeing the garden. "Well, the garden is a part from the house, right?"

I walk to the back door, to enter the garden. It's the first time, I'm outside here. The grass feels wonderful. I lie down on the grass, the sun shining on me. I feel alive. "I should stop, taking those ..."

Huh?

I look to my side, seeing another human behind a fence. "Hey there, brown stallion, hehe ..."

BUCK! Alex warned me, but I didn't listen!

I run fast back home and close the door. "Darn it!"

I slide under the kitchen table to hide myself.. "Calm down, Light ... you a very fast, you run so often, they never going to catch you ... not alive."

I peek out from under the table. If the door goes open and it is NOT Alex, I run for my life ...

But even after hours, nothing happened. "Mayby I overreacted ..."

I start to calm down, when I hear a ring by the house door. Are they coming?

I get nervous again, ready to run, but nothing happened. I walk to the window nearby and see, that somepony ... well, not really pony ... with an packagae walks back to his car. Mayby just a delivery. I could do that by my own, without a car, hehe. And still, Alex is not here ... I didn't got the though yesterday but today ... what ... what, if something happened? He saved me, I owe him ... I have to find him, no matter, if I get spotted!

"Alright ... I should sneak."

The sun starts already to go down. I open slowly the main door. Nopony seems to be here.

"He said, he found me in a forest nearby. So, here must be a forest. Mayby I should start there." I sneak out, close the door and jump behind a bush. On the opposite of the road is a entrance to the forest. I look around, but the luck is on my side. I run fast to the entrance of the forest. "Welcome to the forest. I should be lucky, that this isn't the Everfree Forest here."

I walk through the forest. With every step I take, it's getting darker and darker. The sun also is nearly disappeared. "Alex? Alex?! ALEX!"

But nopony answers my call. "Mayby, he is back home already and wondering where I am? I should had just waited there ..."

I try to walk back from where I entered the forest ... and lost myself in it. "Great job, Light. It's dark, you are all alone in a forest and you have absolutely no idea, where you come from ... AAAAALEEEEXXXX!!!!"

I try to point one way ... I have to come out somewhere sooner or later.

But then I stop ... my ear flicks, I heard something ... rustle from a bush nearby. "Alex?"

"RRRRRRRRRAWRRR!!"

Timberwolve! Wait, no, they look like a wild dog or something. Where is Fluttershy, when you could need her ability?

"Fine animal ... fiiiine ... I'm not tasty food ... I'm your friend ..." The animal comes closer and closer. "Please ... go back ..."

And closer. "Oh come on!"

I start to run in one direction, feeling the animal close behind me. Now I hate myself for leaving the house.

I run and run and run. When I turn around to look behind me, I see, that the animal still hunting me, but not so close anymore as before. I look back to the front and see light. "A way out?"

I run ... and come back on the street ... home. I stop and turn around. I look back but the animal is gone now. I run to Alex' house, happily, that here is nopony else. I knock on the door hard. "Alex, let me in!"

Alex opens the door and drags me in. He bangs the door closed and looks angry to me. "Where the hell did you go?!"

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" He put his hand on his face. "What did you think? Did som-"

"I thought, that something might happened with you and wanted to find you. I walked to the forest, where you said, you found me, looking for you. But I got lost and a timberwolve-like animal hunted me. I'm happy to be back." He smiles a little. "Hey, Light, I'm fine. Did someone saw you?"

"No ... wait, yes, your left neighbour." He raises an eyebrow. "Don't worry, he pushing himself with so many drugs, it's a wonder, he is still breathing. He probably thought, you are an hallucination."

"So nopony come to catch me?" He shakes his head. "I don't think so. Didn't know that you can have fear."

"I can, but it's just happen sometimes. And did you find your friend?" He nods. "Yes, Jack is alright. Something bad happened, but he is okay. And, I think, his brother appeared to. After leaving the hospital, I helped him to bring his delivery to his new home."

"Delivery ... I think, there was a delivery for you." He chuckles. "Oh, must be my new MLP stuff. Well I can get them tomorrow. I'm happy, you are okay."

"Me too. Thank you for caring for me in this new world, Alex." It sounds strange but ... I give him a hug. I just feel like to do that. "Wow ... feels comfortable. Thank you Light."

"No problem, Alex." He pats my back. "It's late, better get some sleep now."

"Good idea." We walk back to his bed. I lie down on the bed and before Alex was even climbed on it, I already fell asleep.
