Chapter 57: Being a brother
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"I don't know." Kian said flipping on his side.
"Alright, I'm gonna do this as a favor. We'll hang out and I'll help you out. Cool?"
"Uh, sure I guess." He said uncertainly.
"Want some tips?" I asked.
"Why not." He said sitting up.
"Alright... First, try to be confi-"
"Wait," Kian interrupted, getting up and looking through a drawer. He pulled out a notebook and and pen and sat back down. "I want to write this down. Go."
"Alright. First off, try to seem confidant, but not overly confident. You know?"
"Wait, what?" Kian asked confused.
"Like, you get nervous when you talk to girls. Try to seem confidant, like you're not about piss yourself. But don't be all cocky and overly confidant. Get it?"
"Uh, yeah." He said scribbling away.
"Ready for the next?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Yeah."
"Alright, try to be and act like yourself, but be willing to do something she'd like too."
"She'd like too." Kian repeated scribbling away. "Next."
"Okay, find a common ground and try doing something around that."
"Got it. Anything else?" He asked.
"No, that should just about do it."
"Okay then." He said setting the notebook down. "So when do you wanna go out and help me?"
"In do time little bro." I said patting his shoulder. "Maybe tomorrow or Friday."
"Alright...uh bro." Kian still seemed a little uncertain about this.
"Great." I said walking out his room.
I walked down the hall and into the living room where my mother and Twilight were talking to each other.
"He's really sweet. I really am liking spending time with him." I caught from Twilight.
"Oh that's lovely." My mother added.
"Hey Twi." I said making notice of myself. "Mom." I nodded.
"So how's your brother taking this?" She asked.
"Okay I guess. Maybe tomorrow we're going to go do some things. Brother stuff."
"That's sounds wonderful." My mother said happily.
"You about ready to go?" I asked looking to Twilight.
"Um sure." She said standing up.
My mother stood up and gave me a hug. "I've missed you Donny, I'm so glad to see you again. You're my son and I love you."
"I love you too mom." I said hugging back. "I'll see you some time later."
She smiled and Twilight held onto my arm. I smiled to her and we walked to the door. I stopped and looked back to my mom.
"Wait um, do you having something I could write on?" I asked.
My mother grabbed a piece of scrap paper off the coffee table and handed me a pen from her pocket.
I wrote down my e-mail address. "I don't have a phone so I'll try to keep in touch."
"Alright." My mother smiled. "I be reading from you soon then."
"Alright. Goodbye." I said waving out the door with Twilight.
"Goodbye." Twilight said to her.
"Goodbye Donny." My mother called back from the door. "You too Twilight."
"Donny, I really like that." Twilight said holding onto my arm.
"It's okay." I said nearing my bike. I sat down on it. "It's something she calls me."
"Whatever you say Donny." She said taking a seat on it.
I rolled my eyes and kicked stand up. "So hows about we do a little reading? I think I might be able to find that book."
She held on tighter than usual and out of the corner of my eye could see her smile.
She whispered up into my ear. "I love you Donny." She gave a small giggle
I revved the handle. "I love you too Twilie."
She rested her head down on my back and I left my old home, going back to my own with who I loved most.
I parked in the driveway and kicked the stand out. I lifted off the bike with Twilight and she followed back inside. She took a seat on the couch as I closed the door and walked off to my room. I came back with my pillow, a blanket, and a small black paperback book. I placed the pillow near the arm and sat down beside Twilight. She got up and I lifted my feet up onto the open space. She sat back down on my lap and lied down with me. Her head making use of my chest as a pillow.
I held up the book and she looked at it. "No title?" She asked looking it over.
"It doesn't need one." I said wrapping the blanket over us.
I cracked open the book and skimmed over a few of the pages, mainly focusing on names and pictures.
"I kind of like that one." Twilight said pointing at a picture. "It looks fun."
"Alright then." I said bending the page's corner. "We can try it sometime.
"How about that one?" She said holding her finger up to another picture. "I really like the look of that one."
"This is a pretty long book, you wanna just use it as a checklist instead?"
"Alright." Twilight said flipping over to face me. "I still want to try that last one."
I couldn't help but smile at her.
"I really liked that the last time." She said rubbing her hand along my chest. "We could make that feeling mutual." She offered.
"I'd like that." I grinned.
We leaned together and our lips pressed and moved with each others. Her mouth opened further and her tongue slipped out and moved up along the edge of my teeth. I opened my mouth more and moved my tongue to play with hers. They slid past and along each other, taking in the flavors and the warm wetness. We slid out of each others mouths and she lied her back down to my chest, holding on comfortably. I laid my head back and rested my hands on her back.
"I really like this." I stated.
"Me too." she said contently.
