Chapter 60: Visitng

I looked down to her. Her soft expression, her simple features, her beautiful eye hidden. A lock of her navy hair hung over her face. I felt her warm breath blow across my chest. I breathed in synch with her, inhaling the cool air and exhaling a warm current. Her hand lay on my opposite shoulder, her arm around me. My own arm was wrapped across her stomach. She nuzzled against me lovingly during the night.

I removed my arm from her and reached around to her hand. I gently lifted it off my shoulder and kissed it. I set it down beside her and slipped out of bed. I opened and walked out the door to my room, being careful to walk lightly and not wake her. I walked through the living room and sat down at the computer. I turned it on and listened to the soft whirr of it. The screen lit up and I moved the mouse around.

I logged on and opened a Google word document. I loaded a fresh page and typed out in a larger than normal font.

Twilight,

I went out for a while. I'll be back sooner than later and will gladly spend the day doing what you want to. Something important came up and I wanted to get it done. I love you.

I finished and got up from the computer. I walked over to the closet and grabbed my leather jacket from a hanger. I slid my arms through the sleeves and felt the cold leather chill my skin. I walked to the door and tied my shoes to my feet and left, closing the door behind me.

I sat down in the seat of my bike and started it. I kicked up the stand and road off down the road. I knew where I was going and took every turn I needed. After a while I parked in front of the cemetery and kicked out the stand. I hopped off and walked the way through until I was at the all too familiar spot.

I stood in front of Huang's grave looking down at it.

"Hey man." I greeted to it.

The only sound in return was a chirping from a bird nearby.

"I'm doing better than last time." I said cheerfully.

A small wisp of air blew by and moved the lengthy grass beside it.

"It finally happened man. That dream I told you about, it's happening."

I held a broad smile as I looked down at it.

"Things are going a lot better."

I came closer to the headstone and shed my jacket. I turned it around and draped it around the grave.

"Goodbye."

I walked off and left on my bike. I road down the road to a small shop I'd passed by before and thought of checking out. I parked in the lot, kicking out the stand and walked into the shop with an idea. I looked around the hanging artworks and decided to do something. I asked the artist and sat down with him, a sketchpad with him and I described what I wanted done.

After a few hours of work and talking I left the shop, a gauze around my left forearm. I took seat back on my bike and rode off for home. A soft smile on my face. I rode the opposite path back home and parked. I kicked out the stand and lifted off the seat. I walked to the door and opened it to be greeted by Twilight standing in the kitchen. She had a small plate with a few pieces of toast and a glass of orange juice. She sat at the small table and smiled at the site of me.

I closed the door and took off my shoes, setting them down beside it. I walked through the living room and into the kitchen to Twilight. She got up from the table and we exchanged a warm hung. She looked down to my arm curiously.

"What this?" She asked placing her hand on the bandages.

"I'll show you when it's done." I said smiling with a wince. Even though her touch was gentle, it still stung.

"I got your note. Mr. smarty pants, how did you know I would check what was on the computer?" She asked playfully.

"You're curious, like me."

I hugged to her tighter. "Up for a little more reading, or do we feel like going out?" I asked.

"Maybe a little of both."

"Great."
