Jazz in Manehattan
Prologue
Year: 418
Location: Trotting-Ham
Opal, a lonely light brown filly, sat on the front porch of her house, crying while watching the happy families walk past.
She never fully felt complete since her parents had split when she was very young. Her father suddenly appeared from inside the house.
"We're a broken family aren't we?" Opal said to her father.
"Uh, no... maybe," said Opals father, trying to think of what to say next.
"I wish we were a normal family," sighing, Opal dried some of her tears.
“Honey, we are a normal family, you listen to me now, as long as we have each other nothing else matters,” said Opals father, wiping away the rest of her tears. “Now, time for bed, Opal,” he continued, opening the door to the house. Opal and her father went inside the house.
Meanwhile, in Manehattan.
A small light brown filly named Showtime was being forced into a dark alleyway.
“Please don’t hurt me, I’ll pay you back!” screamed Showtime in her Manehattan accent.
“Times up,” replied two older colts which where forcing her into that very alleyway. (After some disagreement, OK a lot of disagreement). The two colts were blocking the young filly from running away.
The two colts stepped closer to her, Showtime thought it was the end but then she used the trash cans to defend herself, by kicking the trashcans in there faces. Showtime escaped by jumping on one of the two colts back. She landed on her hoof, chipping it. But, still, Showtime trotted home, all the way to the twelfth floor. Showtime unlocked the door and collapsed on her bed, trying to forget the pain in her hoof.
A few hours later.
"Show Time, I’m home, are you all right?” said Showtimes mother, walking into her room and sitting on her bed.
"Yeah, fine," said Showtime in a sad tone. "What’s wrong? Uh, who did this to you?" said her Pegasus mother, discovering her chipped hoof.
Showtime did not reply, she just pulled away her hoof from her mother’s grip.
"Who did this to you?" asked her mother again, with a lot of worry in her voice this time. Showtime just pretended to be asleep, her mother sighed and walked out of her room, closing the door. She was going to find out who did this to her daughter. Sometimes she wished her daughter had a older sibling to look after her.
