Chapter 4

The Truth

Twilight performed some spell and her horn started to glow.

Applejack was following close to her.

This was a very creepy cave. It was also very big and there were much ways they could go.

They both walked deeper into it until they came to an intersection.

“And now?” Applejack asked.

“I don’t know, but I think we should go the right way first and if we’re wrong we can come back and choose the next way.” Twilight answered.

They both started to walk into the smaller tunnel at the right side.

They were walking into the deep darkness with only the weak light of Twilights horn.

“So, why are ya’ so nervous. sugarcube?” Applejack asked Twilight.

“Well, it’s just that I’m feeling that there is something strange behind what happened” Twilight answered.

They both continued to walk.

*BOOOM*

“Whoa!!!” Applejack screamed.

“What happened?” Twilight asked her.

When they turned around to see what happened they saw that the tunnel collapsed behind them.

“Oh no, ah think we have ta’ go this way even if it is not right.” Applejack said to Twilight.

“Let’s hope that this Way will be the right one” Twilight answered.

They both walked in the only direction they could go.

Hours passed by while they were walking through the dark and small tunnel.

Then they saw light at the end of the tunnel.

“Look sugarcube, there’s light at the end of the tunnel” Applejack said.

Twilight just nodded. They don’t know what they will see, but they know that their friends are in this cave so they have to find it out.

When they came to the end of the tunnel, they could not believe what they saw.

There was a big underground dome.

In the middle of the dome was a huge energy ball.

“What in tarnation is that” Applejack looked aghast at the big blue glowing ball.

Twilight looked at it when she saw a mare with multi-coloured mane inside it.

“There is Rainbow Dash!” Twilight said shocked.

There were all the other missed Pegasi inside.

“That is terrible!” Applejack replied

“What are we goin’ ta do now” Applejack asked.

“We have to free them!” Twilight answered.

“Applejack, you wait here. I will try to set them free!”

Twilight started to run down the stairs around the dome.

When she arrived the ground, she started to walk towards the huge device in front of her.

She performed some spell and a big bolt shot from her horn to the energy ball.

But the energy ball just threw the bolt back into Twilights horn.

“Aahhhh!” Twilight shouted when she was hit by the bolt and hit the ground.

“Muahahah. Stupid little pony. You can’t destroy the energy field!” A dark voice started to talk with her.

“Who… are you!?” Twilight stood up back on her hooves when she realised who was standing in front of her.

“No- No. That is impossible. It couldn’t be you“ Twilight said confused.

In front of her he stood. A dark grey unicorn with a black spiky mane and tail.

It was King Sombra.

“B- But you were dead!” Twilight said shocked.

“But now I’m back and Equestria will feel my power.” He answered.

“Minions! Our little visitor here likes to join us” he shouted when some changelings came and tied up Twilight.

Applejack was watching everything what was going on down there.

(Oh no, they got Twilight. I have ta’ help her) Applejack thought.

In the meantime, Twilight was brought beside a huge throne that belongs to King Sombra.

They gave her a necklace with a chain on it. Now she was lying there. Tied up and chained.

King Sombra came closer to her and performed some spell on Twilights horn.

“We don’t want you to do something stupid” he said towards her when he started to laugh.

“You won’t get away with this” Twilight said when she tried to use her magic. It didn’t worked.

King Sombra’s spell seemed to block her magic. It was the same spell like they used it in the equestrian games to prevent cheating.

Now she was helpless.

“I hope you are comfortable, princess Twilight Sparkle” Sombra started to talk.

“I will introduce you into my magnificent plan.” King Sombra sat down on his throne beside Twilight.

“You might ask yourself why I caught all pegasi inside this energy field there. Well there’s a simple answer.” Sombra sat up and started to walk towards a pedestal with much levers and switches.

“I will use all of their wingpower to create a horrible Storm that will destroy everything in whole Equestria!” He let out an evil laugh.

“And then we will build us a new dark Equestria and everypony will be our slave!”

King Sombra turned on a big switch when the device came to life. It was a terrible noise the device made. Then all the pegasi inside started to groan. The device started its work and sucked out the energy of the pegasi.

“It will take much time to get all their wingpower but then I can create your doom!” king Sombra responded.

Is this the end of Twilight and all her friends?
