The King of Dragons

Pinkie sighed as she snuggled into the warmed body laying next to her while her dragon wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer rubbing the baby bulge.

"Morning Spikey." She mumbled as he kissed the back of her neck trailing down her shoulder before getting up.

"Good morning beautiful. So what's the plan for today?" He asked as she hummed in thought.

"Well there's a few parties that need to be taken care of, you sister wanted you to come by today since there is some political stuff you need to take care of. Also the cakes need you in the kitchen today after you get done at the farm and checking in on Vas and Derpy. Oh and you have to take care of my current burning need for pickled onion cake." She smiled as he gagged.

"All right, I'll be right back with your cake and then I'll head over to Twi's house and see what's up. I'll be back as soon as I let Big Mac know what's going on and check on Derpy and Vas." He said jumping out of bed to tend to her need.

Pinkie smiled laying back on the pillows as her tummy rumbled making her giggle before she got another craving.

"SPIKE PUT SOME SPRINKLES AND HOT SAUCE ON IT!!"

"GOT IT LOVE!" He called back.

After a few minutes he came back with a breakfast cake with vanilla frosting, pickled onions, sprinkles and hot sauce drizzled on the top while watching as Pinkies mouth watered.

He set the plate down beside her before grabbing her face and pulling her into a searing kiss hearing her moan while she wrapped her arms around his neck.

They pulled back panting smiling before he gave her a peck on the forehead making smile and giggle.

"I'll be back as fast as I can love ok?" He said as she nodded taking the cake.

"I'll be here." She chirped as he bolted down the stairs heading to Twilight's house after waving goodbye to Mrs.Cake before he took flight outside heading for Twilight's library.

Spike banked and dived before pulling up giving a mighty flap of his wings and landed.

As he walked in he saw Derpy and Twilight talking in the living room before they turned and spotted him.

"Hey Spike."

"Hey LB, I guess you're here to meet with the griffon princess?" She asked as he shrugged.

"Pinkie just told me I was going to be meeting with some politicians." He said as Twilight groaned.

"Honestly."

"What!? I don't get any letters from them cause I don't want assassins coming at my family!" He growled as she held her hands up.

"Calm down Spike I didn't mean anything by it. Someponies cranky today." She said as he grumbled.

"Sorry." He sighed but smiled as Derpy came and wrapped her arms around him.

"Hey why don't I stay with you since Akhe is watching Vas at the moment while I came to talk to Twilight." She said getting a nod from him.

"Well they should be here soon so why don't you to run home and get on your best clothes." She said as they nodded and headed out the door and took flight.

It wasn't long before the two came back just as Dash landed in front of the library.

"Hey Rain!" Spike called as she looked over suprised before blushing at how handsome Spike looked in his traditional red and black robes of his family while Derpy wore something like one of those Nieghpanese girls with Spikes family colors.

"Wow! You guys look awesome!" She said flying up to them as they smiled.

"Thanks Rainbow. Spike had to help me into mine." Derpy said blushing a little as he smiled letting a claw gently run down her back between her wings making her gasp before glaring at him with a blush.

"Tease." She grumbled as he winked.

"You love it."

"I'm still here you know." The couple grinned at the blushing pegasus in front of them.

"Sorry." They said before going inside with a grumbling mare floating behind them.

As they walked in they saw Twilight in a beautiful dress while her mane seemed to flow like the other princess' in the wind.

"Hey guys glad you made it back so fast, listen Spike I got a message from the minotaur nation a few minutes ago. They want you to come there to meet with them on neutral grounds tomorrow, they sounded pretty insistent." She said nervously as he sighed.

"Very well, I'll be sure to let my soldiers know and be ready to move." He stated as the others eyes widened.

"What why!?"

"Twilight, I don't know if you know but when my father was murdered most of the nation split into rogue states. Since that time the griffons and the minotaur's have been fighting with dragons and there is bad blood between us." He stated as they went wide eyed.

"The fact is this could be a trap, the fact that the griffons are meeting us here surprises me. Hm." He thought for a second before sent a message to Akhe, Seru, and Einglana to guard Vas with their lives and that there may be a attack as well as get Pinkie and Applejack.

"Derpy if anything happens let me handle it." He said as she nodded a little nervous with how serious Spike was acting.

After a while a knock came to the door and Rainbow opened it to see a regal griffon along with six guards walk in. She was pure white with golden feathers on her head that covered one eye.

"King Spike." The female griffon bowed as he did in return along with Twilight, Derpy, and even Dash.

"Hello Lady Griffith." He said still bowed till they both came back up.

"I see you have powerful allies King Spike." She said as he shook his head.

"No, family Lady Griffith. This is my adopted sister Princess Twilight Sparkle, my wife Derpy Hooves Drako, and one of my best friends and Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash." He stated with a unreadable expression on his face along with Twilight masking herself with a small smile.

"I see. Then let us get down to business King Spike." She stated as he nodded letting Twilight leading them through the library to the study area as Dash went and flipped the sign to closed while locking the door before rejoining them.

"So what brings you to Equestria Lady Griffith?" He asked as she groaned.

"I loath to admit it but my parents have seen to it that I become your wife to ensure that yours and our nations once more be at peace." She said glaring at him while he nodded with Twilight while Dash and Derpy glared at her.

"I see, well you may want to tell you parents that I don't accept arranged marriages. I don't need you to ensure peace between our nations." He stated as she like at him like he was crazy before she smiled.

"My parents thought you would say that, so they said that if you refused then they would darken the skies with our numbers to put down this little war." She smirked as Spike and Twilight nodded but inside they were laughing.

"Ah well how can I refuse then hm?" He said as Dash and Derpy looked at him wide eyed.

"WHAT!!??"

"Be silent." Twilight said trying hard to keep a straight face after such a bogus threat.

"Glad you see it our way dear king." She stated as he laughed.

"Oh you think that I meant marry YOU!? HA! You are easier to read than a book my dear, I can see that this is all a play for power. The fact is after the last 20 years your forces are on the brink of collapse, you have lost more ground to my kind since the first contact war between our two races Lady Griffith. You don't have the numbers to back up your claim." He snarled as she and the other soldiers flinched.

"You dare come to my sisters home and make threats to ME!? You threaten my people with death when all it would take is a scroll with my stamp on it to send the millions of my troops flooding into your lands." He roared slamming his fist into the turning it to splinters as the young griffon princess shrieked in fright.

"If you want this war to end so badly Lady Griffith then you have not succeeded! Give me one reason why I shouldn't crush your nation and enslave the rest for your acts today!" He roared his golden eyes glowing with rage at the griffon for even thinking of such a act.

"King Spike would have the full support of the Crystal Empire along with Equestria and her allies Lady Griffith. Choose your next words wisely." Twilight growled while Dash and Derpy were at a loss of word watching the two.

"I yield King Spike, Princess Twilight. But I can't go home I would be a disgrace to my people and put to death for failing my mission." She said as she motioned for the guards to leave them as Spike and Twilight sat down.

"So you have to marry me along with getting a signed scroll that calls for peace between our nations. This will not be easy Lady Griffith, you know our two races have been at war with each other for hundreds of years back to back. I may be king but I listen to my people. I will talk to them and see what they think, I'll have Princess Luna come with me to help and I will meet your with your father about this arranged marriage." He stated as she nodded.

"So what now?" She asked as he smiled.

"Well I think that concludes the business for today and since we will be married politically for the time being I would like you to meet the others in my harem." He stated.

"Others my lord?" She asked as he nodded writing a little and sending it by fire.

It didn't take long before the door was opened and three dragons came in before the sound of swords leaving their sheaths was heard through the room.

"Griffons! You dare bring your filth to the place!?" Einglana roared as Akhe and Seru prepared to roast the griffon soldiers that held their spears at the ready.

"That's enough ladies." Spike called as Applejack and Pinkie rushed over to him while carrying Vas who was taken by Derpy.

"But sire!" Seru said glaring at the griffons who were looking pale as the looked at her body armor and rank.

"Ladies, please come join us." Spike said softly as they looked between their enemies and their king before pushing past them knocking a few down as they did.

"Filthy birds." Akhe growled as she past them before taking her place on Spikes right while she glared at Lady Griffith who withered under the soldiers gaze.

"Spike you ok sugarcube?" She asked as he nodded kiss both her and Pinkie so they would calm down before pulling his guards close as they sighed and calmed down.

"This is Lady Griffith of the Griffon Empire, she has come to offer peace between our two nations in the form of an arranged marriage." He stated as all their eyes popped open besides the ones that already knew.

"Your highness! You can't possibly be thinking of letting these crows walk around our sacred grounds!" Einglana said looking at her king.

"Einglana be calm." He said placing a claw on her head channeling some of his energy into her as she sighed.

"I see, I'm sorry my king for doubting you." She said as he nodded with a smile.

"It's quite alright dear. Now until I can talk to her father about this more in debt we are engaged and set to wed as soon as the treaty is signed. However I'm sure that the young lady has her own life she wants to live with her own lover." He stated as she looked down.

"No I don't, I was born the sixth of five sisters. So as the youngest I will be wed first to the first born of the Dragon Kingdom. So I never looked for anygriffon special." She sighed as he nodded.

"I see. Well if you would like I can still talk to your father about this and though you may already know you will most likely be disowned by your family and live as a commoner in the empire." He said as she nodded.

"That or that would take me back only to wed me off to some high ranking officer. My sisters have all married to somegriffon in the military or to some fat politician so they could keep the troops and supplies coming to battle your forces." She said as Akhe chuckled.

"I'm sorry Lady Griffith but our forces are not battling yours, our troops at the moment are slaughtering the minatore troops to the west. All you are facing are outposts and gangs in your area." She smirked as the princess' eyes widened.

"So all this time, we never saw the bulk of your forces!?" She said as Spike nodded.

"No, you were deemed no longer a threat after the Battle of Ironburg. Your forces suffered total defeat by a small outpost regiment with some cannon support along with militia forces from local villages." He said as looked down in shock.

"Sweet kings, we never had a chance did we?" She whimpered as he sighed.

"No, you never did." He stated as clinched her talons at the disgraceful defeat by such a small force to some of the emperor's finest and elite.

"Now then, Lady Griffith. I would like to introduce out to my soon to be wives, Applejack and Pinkie Pie." He said as as they gave a nervous smile to the griffon.

"Um howdy." She stated as the griffon look from her to Spike in shock.

"Hi I'm Pinkie Pie, do you like parties?" She asked as Spike wrapped his tail around her.

"No parties Pinkie, you heard the doctor." He stated firmly as she pouted.

"Aw being pregnant sticks! I never get to do anything fun." She grumbled but gasped feeling Spikes claw drag over her sides making her blush and give him bedroom eyes.

"But there is that fun that I like A LOT." She said hungerly as he chuckled.

"Later Pinkie, as soon as we get home ok?" He said as she let out a moan of disappointment.

"You're mean Spike. Tease." She huffed just as Spike pulled her into his lap making her squeal and laugh as he nibbling on her neck while tickling her knees.

"AH! NO NO! SPIKE AH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" She squealed with laughter while the others laughed.

Griffith was stunned as she watched the most powerful being in two nations laugh and play with the women in his life.

'This is not what I expected from the king of dragons.' She thought watching them while his guards joined in pinning the king down as the others pounced ticking him as he roared with laughter.

She smiled a little watching them before she spotted Akhe glaring her with pure hate in her eyes making her look away.

'Little bitch thinks she can just walk in here and take my king. I will never let it happen.' Akhe snarled before she was grabbed and flipped in the air landing on her back before Spike pounced on her keeping her pinned to the ground as he leaned down.

"Don't worry Akhe, I'll be sure she won't stay for too long and this marriage never happens." He said as she smiled blushing before he was tackled by Seru and Einglana.

Griffith turned and dismissed the guards back home as Princess Twilight came and sat beside her.

"You know you did a really stupid thing coming in here the way you did right?" She asked as the griffon sighed.

"I never had training on how to talk to anygriffon in a politically high position, I was taught how to seduce and that's it. I just went with my gut and hoped that I could get out of this stupid arranged marriage. I don't want to intrude on King Spikes life here." She said as Twilight sighed and looked over to see her brother holding his mares while Derpy held their son.

"The truth is now that the world knows that he is a king many more of your type of people will be coming to get his power or wealth. I can see you want neither of those, you just want to just go home don't you?" She asked as the griffon nodded.

"Yes, I hate come here when I know not much will change." She said as Twilight raised a eyebrow.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because we tried to make a deal like this not long after the royal family was killed and the war started with my oldest sister. We arranged a marriage with the most powerful warlord there and wanted to stop all hostilities, and they did for a few months." She sighed as she looked up at the others that stopped to listen.

"Then the attacks started again after my sisters head was sent to us in a wooden box." She snarled as the others growled.

"Who was this warlord?" Spike asked as she looked over at him.

"General Zu." She stated as his guards growled.

"That monster!" Einglana roared.

"Who is he?" Spike asked as Akhe sighed.

"He was the one that killed the royal family before trying to take power. He was forced to retreat when the elite guard stepped in fighting him and his troops off. He lost much of his soldiers and is held up in a outpost in the eastern lands, he's ruthless and bloodthirsty. He will stop at nothing to gain the throne." She stated as he nodded.

"I see. So he is the one that killed my parents and siblings yes?" He asked as she nodded.

"Very well. Once I meet with the minatore leader we will see to how long he can breath hanging from a rope." Spike snarled as the other dragons smiled and nodded.

"When you are ready my king." Akhe said as Griffith stood and walked towards Spike when Akhe stepped in front of her.

"What do you think you are doing filth?" She spat as the griffon glared at her.

"I'm going to talk to my future husband, guard. Now step aside." She stated as Akhe looked back at Spike who nodded as Akhe stepped aside but kept her claw on her sword handle.

"King Spike, I Princess Griffith would like to present myself at a peace offering between our two nations. Will you accept me as you wife when the time comes?" She asked bowing as he looked down then at Twilight who nodded as he sighed.

"I do, we will be wed in five months when I meet with the emperor and empress of the nation." He stated as she stood with a small smile.

"On behalf of my home I want to thank you and hope that our two nations can continue to be at peace." She stated as he smiled.

"As do I. Now you once we get you home you need to change out of those clothes. Actually, Twilight you mind taking her to Rares place so she can get fitted for some street clothes and work clothes?" He asked as she smiled.

"Of course, come on Griffith." Twiligth said motioning for her to follow.

"Once the two were gone he smiled and looked at the staircase.

"So mom how'd I do?" He asked as she appeared out of thin air while walking down the stairs.

"Very well done sweetie, you and Twilight make a amazing team when it comes to political meetings." She said walking over to her grandson as Derpy handed him over to her.

"Oh I missed you sweet baby!" Celestia said nuzzling the little kirin who giggled trying to hold her face.

"Thanks mom, so what are you doing here besides to see your grandson?" Spike asked as she smiled.

"Well to see my daughter in laws and my son of course." She said as she leaned in close to his ear.

"I may have snuck away and left the rest up to your aunt." She giggled.

(Meanwhile)

Shouting echoed through the room as everypony tried to put their two cents in about something while arguing about stupid thing amongst each other.

Sitting on the throne was Princess Luna who had been awoken by one of her guards who had been informed that her sister had left her a note and a wish of good luck.

After dragging herself to the throne room she found a horde of nobles fighting among themselves.

Luna growled as she looked at the note again.

[Dear sister,

Going to see Spike and Vas. See you when I get back and good luck, you're going to need it with this bunch.

PS. I'll tell them you said hello.]

Below that was a little Celestia holding up two fingers with her tongue out winking.

The poor scroll never knew what happened as it was sucked into a blackhole.

"I'm going to get you for this Tia." Luna snarled as she looked down at the bickering noble.

"SILENCE!!!!!!"

(With Spike and the others)

"You know she's going to get you for this mom right?" He asked as she waved him off while playing with Vas.

"Please your aunt could never pull a prank on me." She said blowing a rasberry on her grandson stomach hearing squeal with laughter.

"I hope you're right mom."

"Of course I'm right, I'm your mother and her older sister. I'm always right." She smirked as he sighed.
