Not Ready For That!

At one moment I was looking at a new alicorn which looked just like Luna and then something happened. It was like Trav’s flash-bang but just without the loud bang. I was engulfed in whiteness and was kind of floating there for a while. There was really nothing but white. It felt odd not to be falling and not actually standing. Soon enough though that feeling came back and I hit the ground.

I was surprised to what I seen when I managed to get off the ground. I saw complete darkness above me and white dirt…or sand. It was pure white and had absolutely no marks in it. After doing a complete 180 turn my jaw nearly hit the ground. I was looking at Equestria!

“I’M ON THE MOON!?!?” I had to sit and cool off after realizing what the hell just happened. That new alicorn sent me to the moon! What did I do to her? What in goodness sake did I do to deserve this? Then I realized something…something very wrong. I started to analyze my clothing that was still my gear. This is was not possible. I was on the moon with only my gear on and was still breathing.

I sat on the moon for what felt like hours just trying to figure out this was possible. I decided to do the one thing I was able to do. I turned towards a random direction and just yelled the first thing that came to mind, “IT’S ADVENTURE TIME!” and started to walk.

(Back on Equestria)

Everyone in the dining room just simply stared dumbfounded at the appearance of Nightmare Moon and what she had just done to Nick. They were just having a nice ‘chat’ with Nick when a cloud had formed behind the human and started to take shape. The two princesses instantly knew what this was about but could not comprehend her appearance. The main six just recently destroyed her, and yet she stood before them all with a grin.

Tia and Luna were the first to recover; “Nightmare! How is this possible? We destroyed you!”

“FOOLS! ALL OF YOU ARE FOOLS! DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN JUST HIT ME WITH THE ELEMENTS AND BE DONE WITH ME?”

Twilight then recovered and simply stared. She sat just looking between the two princesses and the Nightmare. She then cleared her thought and spoke to the princesses, “Don’t worry, we have the Elements of Harmony! We can defeat her…again!” She was answered by quick nods from the Princesses. “Quick girls! Let’s show her what friendship can do!”

“HA! DO YOU ALL WANT TO MEET MY FRIEND? HE’S QUITE…UNIQUE.” With a flash of dark magic, Nick reappeared be her side. One thing was different…his eyes were completely black.

(Moon: 10 Minutes earlier)

I had been walking for a while now and was getting tired. I sat down on the lunar surface facing out to the dark void thinking of how I might have been looking towards Earth. I then began to think of all the memories I had there. I thought of the parties, the people, and the times when I was dumb enough to get pulled into pranks. That last thought made a little chuckle stream through the nonexistent air. Many of those pranks nearly ended up getting me placed in jail.

As I was thinking to myself I felt a rush of cold air in my head making me wince in pain. Then a flash of bright light pulled me into that o’ so familiar white void. My eyes started to hurt. They felt like they were being pulled out of my head and jabbed with a red hot needle over and over and over.

I was then standing near the dark alicorn that had sent me to the moon. There was now yet another problem…I could no longer move and my vision had black, though I could still see. Then that pain in the back of my skull started up again and it was getting worse. I fell to the ground clutching my head screaming in agony. It was about ten times worse by the time it subsided. I slowly stood up, but I wasn't controlling me body.

All eyes were on me as I felt my hand switch the safety off and slowly move down to the trigger guard. As my finger curved around the trigger I then realized that My M4 was much heavier then when I was sitting at the table. I began to lift the stock of the rifle to my shoulder and heard Celestia speak quietly to all the others in the room, “She is controlling him, and I feel that his weapon has changed. We must get to my private study; there is a spell on it.” She received nods from all of them as they started to run.

“I am growing inpatient! Nick…will you please take care of them for me? GO!”

I felt my head nod in response and then gently squeezed down on the trigger causing a loud chain of actual 5.56mm. rounds flying through the air. One nearly hit the Silver Wing in his side as he ran around the corner to catch up with the others. Let’s just say that the corner no longer exists as it is now rubble.

After losing sight of them I started to run after them. They had an advantage with speed as they had four legs and some were flying. I, on the other hand had my own advantage… at least a 600 yard range advantage that is.

I was reliever when I got to Celestia’s private study and found they were all in the room safe and sound…that is until I pulled something out of a pouch from my vest.  I never had this before now. For in my grasp was a pristine M67 fragmentation grenade. I flung the sling to me M4 around my neck and brought both hand to the M67. Plucking the pin and tossing is to the door I just stood still. I was way too close and would die from the blast if I didn't move. I tried with all my might to move but it was in vain.

“BOOM!”

I was blown from my stance and was hurting like hell. I then lifted my hand to my chest to feel the red liquid rub off on my hands. I was astounded that I wasn't dead (yet). I then realized why I want dead (again…yet). All of my gear was now as real as my M4 and the new M67. My fake Kevlar and body armor was now the reason I was alive (for now).

Lying there still bleeding was a new feeling. I felt like I was at war with myself, fighting for control of the body… of course losing it. I looked to the door just to see my handy work did absolutely nothing to the damn door. I was happy that I didn't succeed but I was also frustrated that I nearly killed myself for no reason.

I heard the door slowly open and Rainbow Dash stuck her head out of the door.

“Well her brilliant plan just killed itself.”

“WHAT?!?!” A whit mare came bursting out of the door heading straight at me. Sadly I was still not controlling my body and I attempted to stop her with a steel barrel aimed at her head. She only took it from my grasp with her magic and laid it to the side.

“PRINCESS LUNA! PRINCESS CELESTIA! COME QUICK!” All I saw before losing conciseness from blood loss was Luna and Celestia rushing out of the room towards me, both of their horns glowing.

(Two hours later)

I woke up with a slight pain all over my chest and two smiling princesses above me.

“Oh good! You are alive! Again…” I was dizzy and was just a little confused at the last word Luna had said, so I turned ti Tia for an explanation.

“Soooo…Celestia, care to explain the ‘again’ part to me?”

“Well…” We sat in the room for about ten minutes telling me how I was temporarily dead for five minutes and were unstable from blood loss.

“Ok! Now that I know I have died one too many times in my life… care to explain the secondary Luna that was controlling me?”

Luna spoke up to this question relatively quickly, “Ok so…”

“Ohhh! Story time! I got the snacks!” Pinkie bolted for a table laying out an assortment of sweets that she got from absolutely no place.

“PINKIE, MY MIND CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH LOGIC BREAKING! PLEASE STOP! Everyone stopped and just started to stare at me. I was about to apologize for my outbreak when pinkie just said, “Okie Dokie Lokie!”

“Anyways, she is called Nightmare Moon and she was once a part of me. I grew to be jealous of my sister and my hatred made this spirit. I was imprisoned along with Nightmare Moon for 1,000 years on the moon until just recently these six helped me to escape its grasp upon my and we thought it was destroyed…obviously we did not.”

“Well I have an idea to get her out of here.”

“And that is?” I grabbed my M4 raised it and fired at the widow.

“Get to the throne room and wait until I yell ‘now’, when I do use the Elements no matter what. GO!”

I walked into the throne room were the sun princess’s throne was destroyed and Luna’s was in the center a bit larger than usual. She heard me right away and turned to face me.

“Did you complete you mission?” I simply nodded.

“Wonderful! I knew that you could do it! Now come to my side Nick, you shall be my personal guard from now on. Understood?” I nodded once more to inform her I understood.

I stood still for a moment longer until she got confused by me being immobilized. She sat up and started to move towards me and when she was in arms reach I grabbed a hold of her mane wile yelling out “NOW!” She was too surprised to move as the beam of rainbow light hit us. I saw that everyone didn't notice me with her until it was too late. All I heard was loud shouts, “NICK!”
